Gold was trading Rs 140 up today at Multi Commodity Exchange for August contracts even as gold prices in the international markets were down. Gold was trading at Rs 48,660 per 10 gram. Silver prices plunged Rs 370 to trade at Rs 71,510 per kilogram for July Contracts when reports last came in.
In the New York Mercantile Exchange, gold was down USD 1,865.70 per ounce. Silver was also down at USD 27.80 per ounce.
