To keep these in mind government started various schemes for girl child along with the central and state government. Educate the girl and she will be also having a beautiful future.
Government had started schemes for any initial benefits like for farmers or for the old age but there are schemes for the girls too. The main moto of the schemes for girls is to create awareness and importance of a girl child, their education and to save a girl child. Some schemes provide free education for girls who’s parents can’t afford. Building up their better future, having enough money for their savings. Here are some benefits of launching the schemes:
* The interest rate on FDs and accounts in these schemes are higher and this allows more savings.
* The terms and conditions are clear that the savings should be used for girl child for their better future or for their marriage.
Here are some schemes for girl child and how to apply for it
1. Beti bachao, beti pdhao yojna (save the daughter, educate the daughter)
Country: India

This schemes was launched on 22nd January, 2015 by PM Narendra Modi. Its aim is to address the issue of the declining child sex ratio image (CSR) and is a national initiative jointly run by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
To only educate them not to kill them. They are the future of nation. They also have the equal rights in any sections. People should celebrate the birth of their girl child and educate them with full responsibility as they do for the boy.
“Let us celebrate the birth of the girl child. We should be equally proud of our daughters. I urge you to sow five plants when your daughter is born to celebrate the occasion.” -PM Narendra Modi to citizens of his adopted village Jayapur.
Eligibility
* A girl age should be below the 10 with having a family.
* There should SSA account in bank in the name of a girl child.
* Should be a Indian citizen.
How to apply
- Visit the bank or post office wherever the scheme is available
- Obtain and Fill the application form for BBBP/SSA
- The form is to be filled manually and attached with all the required documents
- Submit the documents to the same bank/post office. The account must be opened in the name of the girl child
Note: This account can be easily transferred from one bank/post office account to another bank/post office account
2. Suknaya samriddhi account
Country : India

It is a government programme targeted at the parents of girl children. The scheme encourages parents to build a fund for the future education and marriage expenses for their female child. It was launched on 2015 by PM Narendra Modi and is a part of beti bachao beti pdhao.
Eligibility
- Only parents or legal guardians of the girl child can open a Sukanya Samriddhi account in the name of the girl.
- The girl child should be less than 10 years at the time of account opening. The account can be operational till the girl reaches the age of 21 years.
- The initial investment can start from Rs. 250 and a maximum of Rs. 1,50,000 annually with further deposits in the multiples of Rs. 100.
- A single girl child cannot have multiple Sukanya Samridhhi accounts.
- You can benefit from higher interest rates offered by company fixed deposit
- Only two Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana accounts are allowed per family i.e., one for each girl child.
Process
- Fill the application form.
- Carry ID and Address proof.
- Good if you have Aadhaar card.
- Birth certificate of the girl child.
- Fill out the SSY Account opening form.
- Keep the documents ready along with photographs.
- Pay the deposit amount (any amount between Rs. 250 and Rs. …
- You can give a standing instruction at the branch or you can set up automatic credit to SSY Account through NetBanking.
3. Ladli laxmi yojna
Country: India

This scheme was launched by the Government of Madhya Pradesh on 2nd May, 2007. The objective of this scheme is to bring a change in the negative approach of the society towards the birth of a girl child.
- The Government provides Rs. 1 Lakh to applicant’s family for her marriage
- Girls who are married before the age of 18 will not be benefited under the Ladli Laxmi Yojana
Eligibility
- The girl child whose parents are a native of Madhya Pradesh. The parents of the girl child must not be paying any kind of tax to the Government
- In case of a second girl child, the parents who have adopted family planning can get the benefits of the scheme
- The lump sum amount of Rs.1 lakh gets released only when the registered girl child is not married before the age of 18 years
- In case the girl leaves her education in between, she will not be eligible to get any benefits of the scheme
- Two girls from a family will be benefited under Ladli Laxmi Yojana. However, in case the girls are twins then the third girl child will also get the benefit
- The scheme stands valid only for the ones people below poverty line
- An orphan girl child can receive the benefits of this scheme only when she is adopted and the certificate of adoption is duly submitted by the family.
How to apply
- Visit ladlilaxmi.mp.gov.in and click on “Application Letter” to proceed
- There are three options on the page- Public Service Management, General Public and Project Officer
- Select and Click on “General Public”
- Read and Fill the form carefully. Click on “Save” to apply
- The applicant is required to attach scanned copies of all the mandatory documents with the application form and click on submit to send the form for further selection process.
