Ancient Olympics Games.
There were lots of stories about the origin of Ancient Olympic Games. The word Olympic is derived from Olympia a valley, where first such games were organized. The ancient Olympic Games were primarily held in honor of Zeus, the father of the Greek gods and goddesses, as part of a religious festival. Olympia hosted both the festival and the games. The athletes were all male citizens of the city-states from every corner of the Greek world. The olive wreath was the prize for the winner at the Ancient Olympic Games.
Modern Olympic Games.
