CHANGING DYNAMICS OF EMERGING ACADEMICS

Emerging academics

There are so many academic studies introduced in this emerging world. The value for these new studies is great and respectful. Some new academic studies include Artificial intelligence, Machine learning, Deep learning, Cloud computing, and so on. Though the demand for studying these is less among students earlier, it attracts students who are interested in that field. The moment people realize about emerging technologies chooses to study in these fields.

Blooming Fields

Since these studies involve the development in science and the world, software industries are interested to show their talent among their competitors. So, this increases the search for talented students to work with them. Therefore it creates large employment opportunities in these fields. So, we can mark these as a blooming fields.

Awareness among students and parents

Also, due to the pandemic situation right now, the internet discovered many students interested in these fields. Many inventions and discoveries have been made by students to help this world. Thereby it enhances the academic and leadership potential of the students. This shows people’s awareness about the new academic fields.

In India, many new courses and streams have been introduced in colleges and schools to develop the standard in education. Also, awareness about these courses is being made among students by government and industry peoples.

Due to the pandemic situation, students attend online classes which also made students think about the necessity of new technologies and the demand for these technologies. Since new streams are introduced in colleges, some parents who understood the real demand are interested to join their children to enlighten their knowledge.

Hereby, we can conclude that the dynamics for emerging academics are changing in developing countries.

Animal Awareness

Animal rights are the concept in which some, or all animals are permitted to have control of their own being and that their most essential interests. Like, those people want to keep away from suffering should afforded the equal consideration as akin activities of human beings.

It was a lengthy journey to make the world like we know now. The established movement for animal protection started in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. Bills against animal cruelty were approved in England and several American states. In the mid-1800s the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals formed, and anti-vivisection (animal research) movements appeared.

In the UK, the first legal code ‘Martin’s Act’ for the protection of animals which was mainly for cattle and horses was passed in 1822. Two years later, in 1824, the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals was started. The society focused mainly on implementation of the law, with trials where appropriate. In 1835, the Act was altered to protect domestic animals, such as dogs and cats, against cruelty.

Now most popular organization for animal rights and wellbeing is PETA. People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals is an American animal rights organization based in Norfolk, Virginia, and led by Ingrid Newkirk, PETA shut down Taiwan’s drowning tanks, which were used to kill stray and unwanted dogs. The country also amended its first-ever law against cruelty to animals. All car-crash tests on animals stopped globally following PETA’s campaign. They are now trying to draft a bill for animals who are used for scientific exploration, and hopefully, they do those campaigns globally.

India is home to various holy traditions encouraging non-violence and kindness towards animals and has amended several animal welfare reforms since 1960. In India, animals are used for food, dairy products, clothes, etc.  So, government amended the 1960 Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act which is the legal basis of animal protection in India. After that, you can’t harm or treat any animal without any sensible reason. Afterwards, Ingrid Newkirk started PETA India. PETA India functions under the simple principle that animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on or use for entertainment.

Traditionally, charities have worked on reducing the suffering of different animals that happens when they are thinking of as lesser beings who can and should be controlled. Recently, Gauri Maulekhi is a popular animal rights activist in India. She is a co-opted member of the Animal Welfare Board of India (AWBI) and a trustee in Maneka Gandhi’s People for Animals.

There will be continuously suffering as long as any group is defined as reachable to be overlooked and controlled. The nonhuman rights advocate does not disregard people’s concerns about suffering. Those worries are valid. But the concept of animal rights involved working at the main motive of the problem. Lastly, we need to aware; we need to know these rights. We need to be concerned about animals well being.

Importance of Mental Health

Mental health refers to your emotional and psychological well-being. Having good mental means you are leading a good lifestyle. It helps us to realize the individual’s strengths and weaknesses. Mental health should be taken care of us in almost every part of our life. If you think your mental health is affected then visit a psychologist. Visiting a psychologist doesn’t mean you are insane. Just checking things in your early stage will help you more and you can lead a peaceful life.

The main cause of mental health is Depression. There are many reasons for depression. In India, people think that sharing their depression problem with others will lead to a big risk. They fear getting judged by people. So, they never open up to others. It will gradually take a toll on your mental health and will become a big disorder in your life.

Some people get panic attacks when they read some terrific news or students may get panic attacks before their exams. This can be cured at early stages. But, consulting a psychologist is more important. If you are a working professional and your office provides a separate psychiatrist to treat your problems. Feel free to knock on their cabin. They will treat you like “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. They will listen to your problems patiently and will never jump to conclusions.

If you are a student and your school/ college has a counseling room. Approach them if you are getting depressed. They will share some life stories with you. It will motivate you to overcome the struggles or problems being faced by you.

Especially in these covid times, everybody’s mental health is getting affected because of lockdown and quarantine themselves in their homes. In those cases not listening to unwanted news itself will reduce all your stress and depression. Doing breathing exercises are good for mental health and to have a calm peace of mind. Doing breathing exercises once in the morning and evening will reduce your stress level and you will get a good amount of energy to kickstart your day.

We should raise awareness about mental health and let people know about its impacts. So that we can save many lives. Always trust your instincts. You can take advice from others but having a piece of good advice from your heart will be a good cure for your mental health.

Don’t be ashamed or disheartened to share your depression or anxiety problems with others. Share your problems with the person only if you trust them. It is good to share your problems with strangers too. If you get a chance and the stranger is willing to hear from you give a chance and open up.

This mental health and depression if not treated for a long time can cause heart problems. If you feel sudden palpitations without even walking or running. Then kindly consult a doctor. There may be many reasons. But the common reasons are anxiety and depression. So treat them soon with a good specialist.
