COVID-19’s threat to our global civilisation and the need for collective responsibility

Ninety years ago in 1930, the father of modern psychiatry Sigmund Freud published a famous essay called “Civilisation and its Discontents”.

Writing in the aftermath of the First World War, amid radical scientific and medical breakthroughs in the field of psychology and also the growth of authoritarian movements like Nazism, Freud explored the tensions between the impulses driving human behaviour and the constraints imposed by the structures of civilisation.

Today, our global civilisation faces the profound challenge of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has thrown up a wide range of “discontents” and poses a complex dilemma of how to balance individual impulses and freedoms with collective responsibility.

Lockdowns, border closures, travel restrictions and mandatory face-coverings have all impacted the personal lives of women and men across the world on an unprecedented scale.

At the same time, the coronavirus has shone a harsh light on existing inequalities in our civilisation, from the distribution of economic resources to access to health and justice services.

“COVID-19 has been likened to an x-ray, revealing fractures in the fragile skeleton of the societies we have built. It is exposing fallacies and falsehoods everywhere… while we are all floating on the same sea, it’s clear that some are in superyachts while others are clinging to drifting debris.”

If we are to successfully overcome the pandemic, then we need to recommit to the values of solidarity, cooperation and equality that underpin the Charter of the United Nations and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

2020 marks the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War and the founding of the United Nations, as well as the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the beginnings of Japan’s post-war democracy.

All of these significant anniversaries are interlinked, and underscore that the path of human progress is rarely straightforward. Our civilisation and common human heritage is shaped by war, devastation and loss just as much as by idealism, ingenuity and liberty.

Only an honest reckoning with the complexities and ambiguities of our past can enable us to meet the challenges of the present and future. This is particularly relevant to the current crisis, and how nation states and international institutions like the World Health Organization have responded.

COVID-19 has laid bare the interconnected nature of global risks, and the extent to which even well-resourced health systems can be rapidly overwhelmed when crises hit.

The virus will not be overcome unless all states work together, pooling resources and expertise to strengthen health systems, develop and distribute an effective vaccine, protect health workers and provide the necessary care to all who need it in society. This must particularly include vulnerable groups such as refugees, migrants, the elderly and infirm.

Priority must also be given to efforts to support fragile and poorer states, which have weaker health systems and lack the capacity to provide social safety nets to limit the immediate economic and humanitarian impact of the pandemic. It is essential, once an effective vaccine is developed, that it is made accessible and affordable for all countries.

Leaders and citizens alike need to recognise that our world is in a state of profound crisis, and the multilateral system faces its gravest threat since 1945.

The response to COVID-19 and the challenges of ensuring a rapid, equitable and sustainable economic recovery from the pandemic is straining the limits of international solidarity. It has brought into question the interconnected global systems of trade and international travel that have been taken for granted in recent decades.

In addition, we continue to face the longer-term existential threats to human existence posed by climate change and nuclear weapons, both of which are headed in an increasingly dangerous and unpredictable direction, due to neglect – or in some cases, wilful destructiveness.

It is an especially sad irony that this assault on multilateralism is being led by the United States – the country that played the single biggest role in the establishment and maintenance of the multilateral system after 1945, and which helped Japan become the thriving democracy and economic powerhouse it is today.

Dowry system in India

The practice of giving dowry is common in our country. Dowry is the money or gifts given to a daughter by her parents at the time of her marriage. Unfortunately, this has become a social problem. The family of the boy demands large sums of money from the girl’s parents. For this reason the birth of a daughter is considered a curse in our society. She is considered as a financial burden on the family. The boy’s family considers it as their right to make demands and a lot of unpleasantness is caused at the time of marriage. Sometimes people even refuse to go through with the marriage if they feel they are not getting enough money.

The girl is very often tortured by the husband and his family for bringing insufficient dowry. Sometimes they are compelled to commit suicide to escape ill-treatment. Worse still, people even resort to murder to do away with a bride who has not brought enough dowries.

Dowry deaths have become a very serious problem in our society. Various legislative safeguards have been introduced over the past fifteen years to combat this problem. But the tragic truth is, that marital and domestic violence including dowry deaths have continued to grow and spread.

The Dowry Prohibition Act was passed in 1961 but it has not been effectively implemented. It was further amended in 1986. Under this law, a person who is convicted can be imprisoned for five years and fined up to fifteen thousand rupees.

But laws alone cannot help to control the menace of dowry deaths. Social awareness, especially amongst young men, needs to be developed through public campaigns. The education and economic independence of women also needs to be encouraged so that their parents do not feel compelled to marry them to dowry seekers.

Dowry system is one of those much discussed systems. Although it is one of the most hated systems surprisingly it is growing day by day. Now- a-days this problem has created a lot of hue and cry in our country. This increasing system is a growing injustice to our society and morals. It should be immediately stopped.

Marriage is one of the most sacred and holy ceremonies in our society. But the horror of the dowry system has made this ceremony one of the feared institutions. In ancient Indian society there was no question of the dowry in marriages. It was considered to be a sin.

Dowry system is an insult to our society. It reduces the position of both man and woman. Many educated men are demanding dowry. Thus dowry system is also an insult to our education and culture. Poor people cannot afford dowry. Many handsome and brilliant girls remain unmarried because they are poor.

Strict laws have been prescribed to check dowry system. But nobody looks at it. Rich people are giving heavy dowry to their daughters. They do not feel unhappy at such crime. Dowry system continues in spite of all steps to check it. However, it can be completely checked if the awareness against this system is created among the girls. If they vow not to marry greedy men, if they become economically self-dependent, then this ugly system will automatically disappear.

Why do people go to the beach?

Why do people go to the beach? Why is it such a big attraction during the summer? Everybody has different answers to these questions. The beach is a big thing to me for a number of reasons. The first reason is because it is a place I have been going to ever since I was younger. My parents met at the beach and grew up in beach towns. The beach is apart of them and they thought to share this special place with me. Not all the time, but most of the time people stick to things that are familiar to them. My cousin came to visit my family and me this summer from Kansas. He has only been to the beach twice in his life. So when we took him to the beach this summer he was so excited and fascinated by it. He wanted to go to the beach everyday and that’s what we did. The beach is such a familiar thing in my life I don’t even think twice about it. So seeing my cousin get excited about it opened my eyes at how many people don’t get to experience the beach. But being away from home and at college for two months has made me realize how important it is to me and how big of an impact it has had on my life.

The beach is also a huge part in my life and I’m sure in other people’s lives because it is relaxing. The sound of the waves crashing on the shore, the sand between my toes, and just having a great time with friends and family is the best part. The beach is a getaway for some people. The beach is also a symbol that signals school is out. When people think of summer they think of the beach. The beach is the place where people go to enjoy themselves.

People go to the beach for the different activities you can do there. You can go swimming in the ocean. Go parasailing, running, party, and fishing. A popular beach near me has an arcade, aquarium, rides, and mini golfing. There is always something to do. From the activities listed or to just relax with friends and family. The beach holds a number of ways for you to enjoy yourself. You can always find things that interest you at the beach. Every summer I do this surf camp that the beach I go to offers. I have been going for years because I wanted to get involved in an activity instead of lying on the beach getting a tan.

There are so many other reasons why people like to go to the beach and everybody is different. There are plenty of different things that people can get into. If you can’t find something enjoyable to do or you don’t like the beach you aren’t looking hard enough. There are plenty of reasons to like the beach and I understand that some people just don’t like the beach, but there are plenty of activities around the beach to do also.

If The Keyboard Could Talk

Yes, yes ! You read it right !!

Quite a mindboggling and thought-provoking heading !

Isn’t it ?

A very famous quote says that actions speak louder than words but have you ever imagined in your weirdest dreams that how miraculously our life would be turned upside down if a simple electronic device like keyboard, could talk.

This heading must have surely caught your first hand attention and indeed it’s idea created a tickle in my mind as well, so much so that plenty of thoughts hovered over my mind as to how amazingly absurd this world would be if all our unspoken thoughts actually get heard by everyone around !!

The only part in the computer system which is capable of conveying our thoughts to the ever complicated wired machine’s brain by sending our messages in the form of inked words would create an interesting havoc if its buttons would actually speak up the words being pressed upon them !!

Thinking of the funniest consequence which comes to my mind is the one when in a working place of 10-20 employees typing together on their respective keyboards eventually turning it all into a remarkable fish market filled with the voices of their talking keyboards !!

Just imagine the state of their minds amidst of all such different cracking noises 😛

Another most important use of these keyboards is found almost everywhere in this era of booming social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter where people are spending almost half of their lives typing their thoughts on the computers spreading it around the world !

Imagine the today’s so called love birds talking to each other via these social networking sites using these keyboards. How interesting it would be if the keyboards starts questioning your love ? If it begins to modify your loving thoughts being conveyed to the person on the other side of your computer, wouldn’t you feel as if there’s a love counselor sitting between you both ??!!

What if it leads to your relationship status being changed to “It’s Complicated” from “I am Committed” ??!!

Oh wait a minute !

How can we forget ! What a disaster it would result into if their parents are sitting beside them while they are sharing their love messages 😛 Giving you a shiver even in your imaginations ??

Oh yeah dude ! Chill down, it’s just a thought !

Of course all of their love would turn into a spark giving rise to World War 3 !!

On a serious note, this imagination can actually cost the security of our country a great high price and trembling its very foundation !!

Though there has been a remarkable advancement in the field of technology whereby the most important details and information are transmitted in the most secured manner via various means of encryption but still there are many areas where sensitive data is still transmitted through simple computers, thus our not-so-common imagination of talking keyboards would compromise the integrity of the information being transmitted and would cause a terrible threat to our nation !

This weird imagination can lead to a catastrophe to fall on our nation’s security and confidentiality !!

Another interesting incident is surely the one you all must be thinking about and it has eventually clicked my mind too !

So much entrancingly hilarious it would be if all these ideas of mine actually be a result of my negotiation with the keyboard itself !! If all my thought processing is shared with its own words and thoughts ! I think it would be very amusing if the theme of my article is itself going to guide me the way to pen down the cognition of its essence !!

A mere imagination but what a wonderful thought !

Isn’t it ?

But it’s actually not as easy as it seems to be!

Every unique action has an equal and inexorably exclusive opposite reaction !!!!

So simply let our thoughts be conveyed by the ink of our mind and not by a talkative piece of science !!

Kattanjimalai, located at Marathur village in Mettupalayam taluk, is the largest single area which was declared as reserve land. The hillock, spread over 817 ha with thick vegetation, was classified as government poramboke Poachers used to hunt lesser-known species at this place and the Department had registered three cases related to the use of country-made explosives for hunting. This is the first elephant corridor in the state to be brought under the private forest act. The move will help preserve the most critical elephant corridor in the state. The landowner can enjoy the property, but cannot undertake any development work without obtaining permission from the forest department. The landowner also cannot fell the trees,” the DFO said.

ONE WORLD ONE HEALTH

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday called for following a “one earth, one health” approach to effectively deal with the coronavirus pandemic globally, and sought the support of the G7 grouping to lift patent protections for COVID-19 vaccines, during a virtual address at an outreach session of a summit of the bloc.

Calling for global unity, leadership, and solidarity to prevent future pandemics, Modi also emphasised on the special responsibility of democratic and transparent societies to deal with the challenge, according to an official statement.

Sources said Modi’s call for adopting a “one earth, one health” approach received support from German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

They said Australia and several other countries came out in strong support of Modi’s call to waive patents on coronavirus vaccines to boost their production. India and South Africa have come out with the proposal at the World Trade Organisation.

The prime minister, speaking at the G7 outreach session titled ‘Building Back Stronger – Health’, also highlighted India’s ‘whole of society’ approach to fight the pandemic, while synergising the efforts of all levels of the government, industry and civil society.

Life is full of Surprises and Adventure !

AS for the the saying goes ”life is like riding a bicycle” .I totally do agree to this quote. life has its own terms and conditions when it is viewing in the eyes of the beholder ,it is neither an easy path nor a grumpy road as it seems to be. Life  may be considered an hard nit shell to crack but it has its own fun we never know what’s next but when the situation happens  ,we say ” oh god it is life” un predictable and demandable

Life has its own definition ,it is considered lucky when it’s in the favor of that person otherwise the opposite but to me it is full of surprises. life is like a cotton candy, soft, spongey and sweet

people say ”I NEED TO ADVENTURE” butt what they don’t know or may be ignorant is they are in a adventure i.e. ”LIFE”. life teaches us how to be welcoming for unprepared things ,it teaches us to handle the situations, it let us acceptable to certain things and be attentive most of the time. life allows you to overcome the fears and insecurities.so hence life is fun so stay calm stay safe

Reading books are really considered boring?

books are the most expressive form of feelings .Though it depends on words of the writer or the author but most precisely, the content also hold some value to a great extent. Life is all about about understanding things for better but is it really worthy to be patient and read the sentences to find out what it is actually about . Reading books is actually not a boring job they this voicing out the feeling and emotions through the content .

They do possess an actual possibility of humane form. sometimes  reading books actually is entertaining job , In this mundane busy life when we are traveling we can find ourselves occupied in reading stuff

so actually reading is considered to be one of the finest way passivity of entertainment.

“JAPANESE FLU DRUG CAN TREAT COVID-19, SAYS CHINA”

“JAPANESE FLU DRUG CAN TREAT COVID-19, SAYS CHINA”

Japanese firm in China has developed an effective flu drug to treat the new strain of influenza virus COVID-19 that has shaken the whole world. The drug was successful in its trial phase and it turned patients with coronavirus negative from positive after a median of 4 days.

According to Chinese medical authorities, a drug named favipiravir developed by a subsidiary of the Japanese Company, Fujifilm was effective in treating coronavirus patients in Japan. According to the report, 340 patients with coronavirus were given the anti-viral drug and all shown positive results and turned negative with a significant improvement in their lungs. An official in China’s science and technology ministry, Zhang Xinmin said that the drug is highly effective and safe for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

This new drug has crossed other similar drugs developed in showing significant improvements. It turned patients suffering from the coronavirus negative after the medication of just four days while with no drug patients negative after the median of 11 days. Moreover, the lung condition of coronavirus patients got far better when they were X-rayed. After treatment with this drug, patients shown improvement of 91 percent compared to 62 percent improvement in patients who were not given the drug.

Doctors are currently using the favipiravir drug on coronavirus patients in clinical studies. The patients had mild to moderate symptoms and the point was to stop the virus from multiplying in patients. But a Japanese health ministry source said that drug was not as effective in people with severe symptoms. Favipiravir has no obvious side-effects.

Chinese media reported that the anti-viral drug received approval as an investigational therapy for coronavirus Covid-19 infection. The clinical trial in Wuhan revealed that favipiravir given patients recovered in 2.5 days on average while it took only 4.6 days to recover with a cough which means that they recovered 1.4 days earlier than those who did not take the drug. Another clinical trial in Shenzhen city in China was conducted which involved 80 participants. The results demonstrated significant chest improvement shown on CT scans.

Tyler Van Buren, an analyst with Piper Sandler has said that “If successful, it could be approved for broad use in the coming months considering it’s safe, the bar for efficacy in the context of the ongoing global pandemic is low.

World health organization has listed this drug as part of its experimental protocol for treating the disease. Favipiravir will require the government’s approval for full-scale use on Covid-19 coronavirus patients, since it was originally intended to treat flu.

The company’s shares jumped by 15% on Wednesday morning after the news broke out about the flu drug.

The Covid-19 pandemic has so far crossed 250,000 cases, deaths count has crossed 10,400 and 89,061 patients have recovered. China has massively recovered and stopped the spread. The epicenter of the virus has shifted from China to Europe, where Italy is the most hit country, where the virus has claimed 3,405 lives.

“During this period ,we are in difficult situation so please be safe stay home”

“MEDICINE OVERDOSE SIDE EFFECTS, CAUSES, AND SYMPTOMS”

“MEDICINE OVERDOSE SIDE EFFECTS, CAUSES, AND SYMPTOMS”

Medicine is used to cure ourselves and drug overdose may end up seriously harming us.If the body is not used to some particular medicine and, yet, it is consumed excessively, it may affect us drastically and may prove fatal. Either a person overdoses the medicine intentionally or unintentionally. The results are always the same. The overdose normally results in dizziness, confusion, vomiting, nausea, and coma. If the medicine has overdosed to a much higher extent, the reaction may even be the death of the person. Many people intentionally overdose to commit suicide, by taking too many sleeping pills or some other sedatives in high milligrams. On the other hand, some people may overdose medicine unintentionally and the mistake can either be of the doctor who prescribed it or the medical pharmacy who gives wrong medicine by reading the prescription written wrongly. In some cases, the person takes medicine on his own without consulting the doctor. Taking expired medicines can also prove harmful. All these factors can be involved and their impact can drastic on the body. Some people use a large number of medications from different doctors which is known is polypharmacy. They take recommendations from more than 1 health caretaker and take many medicines at a time. This can result in an overdose of medication. People are unaware of the proper usage of medicines and without consulting, they buy medicines from any pharmacy and take their dose according to their needs. It can cause serious harm.Taking too many medicines can lead to irritability, excessive sweating, depression, muscle tension, nausea, vomiting, high blood pressure problems, always feeling dizzy, inability to work, urinary incontinence, and poor health.

Kids may swallow drugs accidentally. Children can do this action out of curiosity. Babies and toddlers of 3-6 years of age normally put anything they find anywhere in their mouths due to their oral development. Therefore, always keep medicines out of the reach of children. It can be highly harmful to them than adults. Adults, sometimes, overdose out of depression or stress. Such overdoses bring harmful changes in their body which can even destroy a person’s organ forever.

Drugs affect the entire body. But medicine overdose causes many side effects that do not happen with normal medicines. Some high dose medicines can be taken that cause no harm but some medicines when taken, even small in number, have severe effects on the body. Overdose may cause chronic diseases, chest pain or an asthma attack.

Some noticeable symptoms maybe; respiratory problems, blood sugar, irregular body temperature, pulse rate, and blood pressure.

3 Lessons On Improvement

The Repeated Bout Effect can teach us three lessons on improvement.

First, doing a light amount of work is a great way to reduce the pain of difficult sessions. Imagine that you do an easy 1-minute pushup workout on Monday and a difficult 10-minute pushup session on Friday. The Repeated Bout Effect says that your soreness after Friday’s workout will be reduced simply because you did an easy session earlier in the week. Easy work can make a difference.

Second, the amount of work that you need to do to reach your maximum level of output is higher than what you are doing now. Unless you are already performing at 100 percent of your potential, you have room to grow. And the Repeated Bout Effect tells us that you have probably adapted to all of the normal stimuli in your life. If you want to reach a new level of success then you need to put in a new level of work. This does not mean you should start by doing as much work as possible, but it does mean that when you start small you can’t expect one small change to work forever. You have to continually graduate to the next level.

Third, Deliberate practice is critical to long-term success. Doing the same type of work over and over again is a strange form of laziness. You can’t go to the gym, run the same three miles each week, and expect to enjoy ever-improving results. After a few months of repetitive workouts, you’ve seen all the results that three-mile runs can deliver and your body has adapted to that stimulus. This is  dedeliberately practicing new skills .that you can master in one to three practice sessions is important for long-term improvement. Making deliberate practice a habit can help you avoid carelessly practicing things that no longer deliver any benefit.

The key takeaway here is that things will work for a little while and then we will get used to them.

A Volume of Work

Now we have reached the stage where figuring out what to focus on becomes a real possibility.

You have experimented with enough ideas to discover one or two options that seem to provide better than average results for you. You’ve overcome the hurdle of wanting more information and the fear of committing to something and now you’ve made a choice. You took the job. You started the business. You signed up for the class. You’re ready.

Welcome to the grind. It’s time to put in a volume of work. Not just once or twice. Not just when it’s easy. But a consistent, repeated volume of work. You have to fall in love with boredom and stay on the bus.

It is through this sheer number of repetitions that you’ll come to understand the fundamentals of your task. You might know what greatness looks like before this point, but you won’t understand how to achieve greatness until you’ve put the work in yourself.

In the words of Ira Glass, “your taste is good enough that you can tell that what you’re making is kind of a disappointment to you.” You’ll bridge that gap between what you know is good and what you can produce yourself by putting in the reps.

This applies to so many areas of life.

Want to dress well and develop killer style? You’re going to have to try on a lot of clothes before you can simplify down to the essentials. You’ll probably have to buy a lot of clothes before you can really get a feel for what your day-in, day-out style is. I’m not a fan of promoting rampant consumerism, but if that’s the skill set you want to develop then it’s likely going to take some experimentation and effort.

Want to become a great cook? How many bad meals do you think you need to make before you can whip up a “simple, but tasty dinner” whenever you feel like it? I’d say hundreds at least. I don’t know many people who are amazing cooks after making their tenth meal ever. Developing a deep understanding of the fundamentals of cooking takes a while.

Want to write an amazing book? You’re going to have to write and write and write some more. You need to write hundreds of thousands of words to find your voice, maybe millions. Then you need to edit those words and whittle them down to the most powerful version possible.

Only after the repetitions have been completed will you understand which pieces of the task are fundamental to success.

Hard work

Hard work is an essential thing we all need in life. It is impossible to achieve greatness without working hard. In other words, an idle person cannot gain anything if they wish to sit and wait for something else. On the other hand, one who keeps working hard constantly will definitely gain success in lige and this is exactly what essay on hard work will elaborate upon.

Hard work is important and history has proved it time and again. The great  Edison used to work for many hours a day and he dozed off on his laboratory table only with his books as his pillow.

Similarly, the prime minister of India, late Pt. Nehru used to work for 17 hours a day and seven days a week. He did not enjoy any holidays. Our great leader, Mahatma Gandhi worked round the clock to win freedom for our country.

Thus, we see that hard work paid off for all these people. One must be constantly vigil to work hard as it can help you achieve your dreams. As we say, man is born to work. Just like steel, he shines in use and rusts in rest.

When we work hard in life, we can achieve anything and overcome any obstacle. Moreover, we can also lead a better life knowing that we have put in our all and given our best to whatever work we are doing.

Hard work is definitely the key to success. What we earn by sweating our brow gives us greater happiness than something we get by a stroke of luck. As humans, we wish to achieve many things in life.

These things need hard work to be able to come true. Poverty is not the curse but idealness is. When we waste our time, time will also waste us. Hard work can help anyone achieve success. Great people were born in cottages but died in palaces.

Thus, it shows how through great work one can get the key to success. When you start working hard, you will notice changes in your life. You will become more disciplined and focused on your work.

Moreover, you will start seeing results within a short time. It is nothing but proof that when you work hard, things like determination, focus, concentration, come automatically to you. As a result, nothing will stop you from achieving success.

Success is not just someone being famous and rich in life. When you work hard and lead a comfortable life filled with love that is also a success. Hard work must not limit to work but also your personal life. When you put in hard work in work and relationships, life will prosper.

Perfection

Society defines the word perfect with images of faces and the way bodies are formed.
However, a dictionary will define the same word as being without defects or flaws. This ultimately is an unattainable goal. As Hannah Montana expressed, “Nobody’s perfect I gotta work it again and again until I get it right”. She says immediately that perfection is desirable but never can one say that they are perfect. Rather one must continue to strive for selfimprovement and personal development to the best of their abilities.
Perfection is not achievable. “Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence,” (Vince Lombardi). Although it may be defined inside the pages of a dictionary, it is nothing more than a constantly changing idea that is different between each individual person.

It holds no true constant definition as it is contextual and individual. In the past, there have been many cases of individuals, who in the pursuit of perfection caused more harm to themselves than benefit. Even today, we see people who starve themselves so they meet the media’s definition of perfect, only to detriment their own health and physical wellbeing and be ridiculed even more.

We, as a society, tend to introduce inaccurate and unrealistic definitions of words which only lead to misinterpretations. Instead, we should take pride in having our flaws, both innate and nurtured, as they define our individuality. It is important to recognize that our mistakes do not define us, but rather, our ability to persevere and try again in the face of failure.

TRUST

Trust is the very thing that everybody in this world desires, or at least should desire from one another. Who wants to have a friendship or relationship without trust? Nobody does. Without trust, there is no friendship, and without friendship, there is no love. I believe that trust is an even greater compliment than to be loved! I believe George Macdonald said it best when he stated “To be trusted is a greater compliment than to be loved.” When I read this quote for the first time, I thought to myself, “Wow that is so true. How can you be loved if you are not trusted first?”

It is a special thing to be trusted by someone. To be told you are trusted is an even greater feeling, but you should never take advantage of that trust. Taking advantage of somebody’s trust in you is never a good thing and will only lead to distrust. If somebody took advantage of my trust, I would be very skeptical of them the next time they needed me to do something for them or asked something of me. Trust should be valued highly and seen as a true bond between two friends or mates. It should be thought of as the glue in the relationship.

I think of myself as a very trusting person. I believe that I have a very strong judge of character when it comes to meeting somebody for the first time. When I first look at somebody I can sort of tell how there personality is or how easy they might be to talk to. Just by looking at the way they sit or stand, talk, and listen, I will be able to tell if I will get along with that person well. This also goes for trusting somebody. Maybe I tend to trust people a little too much when I first meet someone but that is just the way I am. Though I do not fully trust them, I believe I can trust in them to help me with something minor I ask of them or tell them. I usually have no problem trusting somebody unless I can tell there will be a problem. If they break my trust in them, it will take a lot to re-gain that trust back if they can at all.

Having somebody to trust is a wonderful feeling. Knowing that you have somebody to talk to about anything you might have going on in your life is great. The feeling of being trusted might possibly be one of the best feelings you will ever know. It is great when you can help somebody when you are trusted just by having a talk with them about something they need help with or need advice on. If you do not know of anybody you truly trust, then I believe that you should find someone and build that friendship with a glue called trust and maybe you will help that person and even yourself in ways you’ve never known.

Pets

Pets are a great blessing in anyone’s life. They are the only ones who love us unconditionally. Pets always offer us everything they have without asking for anything in return. The main aim of any pet’s life is to make their owner happy. Nowadays, even the term ‘owner’ is changing. People prefer their pets as kids and to themselves as parents. This is how the relationship between pets is evolving. People treat them no less than humans. For instance, they celebrate their birthdays; get those matching outfits and more.

In my opinion, I feel the pets rightly deserve it. The most common pet you can find at anyone’s place is dogs. A man’s best friend and the most faithful animal, a dog.

Anyone who has loved and owned a pet knows that a pet can be a source of enormous comfort in times of disappointment or grief.

The instances for sorrow and heartache tend to build up as one grows older: the loss of a life partner, the loss of a friend, the loss of an ex- colleague, the loss of lifestyle, the loss of familiar surroundings, the loss of physical abilities, the lack of the opportunity to do meaningful work, and most importantly the loss of importance.

Looking after a pet often involves activities, like walking the pet, grooming the pet, playing with the pets. All these activities help to keep its owner active. Pets provide many seniors a reason to get out of bed and carry on with their lives.

CONFIDENCE

Self-confidence refers to the state of mind where a person pushes their boundaries and encourages belief within oneself. It is something which comes from self-love. In order to have confidence in yourself, one must love oneself to get freedom from constant doubt. This essay on self confidence will help you learn more about it in detail.

It won’t be far-fetched to say that self-confidence is the key to success. If not, it is definitely the first step towards success. When a person has self-confidence, they are halfway through their battle.

People in school and workplaces achieve success by taking more initiatives and being more forward and active in life. Moreover, they tend to make better decisions because of having confidence in oneself.

Thus, it makes them stand out of the crowd. When you stand apart, people will definitely notice you. Thus, it increases your chances of attaining success in life. Alternatively, if there is a person who does not trust or believe in himself, it will be tough.

They will find it hard to achieve success because they will be exposed to failure as well as criticism. Thus, without self-confidence, they may not get back on their feet as fast as someone who possesses self-confidence.

In addition to gaining success, one also enjoys a variety of perks as well. For instance, you can find a job more easily. Similarly, you may find the magnitude of a difficult job lesser than it is.

Self-confidence allows us to face our failure and own up to it in a positive light. Moreover, it helps us to raise many times. This helps instil a quality in use which ensures we do not give up till we succeed.

All in all, a person will gain self-confidence from their own personal experience and decision. No one speech or conversation can bring an overnight change. It is a gradual but constant process we must all participate in. It will take time but once you achieve it, nothing can stop you from conquering every height in life.

Motivation

Everyone suggests other than the person lack motivation, or directly suggests the person remain motivated. But, no one ever tells what is the motivation of how one can stay motivated. Motivation means to face the obstacle and find an inspiration that helps you to go through tough times. In addition, it helps you to move further in life.

Motivation is something that cannot be understood with words but with practice. It means to be moved by something so strongly that it becomes an inspiration for you.

Motivation is very important for the overall development of the personality and mind of the people. It also puts a person in action and in a competitive state. Furthermore, it improves efficiency and desire to achieve the goal. It leads to stability and improvement in work.

Above all, it satisfies a person’s needs and to achieve his/her goal. It helps the person to fight his negative attitude. The person also tries to come out of his/her comfort zone so that she/ he can achieve the goal.

To conclude, motivation is one of the key elements that help a person to be successful. A motivated person tries to push his limits and always tries to improve his performance day by day. Also, the person always gives her/his best no matter what the task is. Besides, the person always tries to remain progressive and dedicated to her/his goals.

It is a strong tool that helps to get ahead in life. For being motivated we need a driving tool or goal that keeps us motivated and moves forward. Also, it helps in being progressive both physically and mentally.

Besides, you need to push your self towards your goal no one other than you can push your limit. Also, you should be willing to leave your comfort zone because your true potential is going to revel when you leave your comfort zone.

Movies love

How the movie can affect your life:

movies can affect society in both good and bad ways. They can help the economy grow, motivate people, and expand our basic knowledge of the world around us. Movies can also create violence and immorality, can inflame people, and can send a vicious message.

How movies affect our environment:

A positive influence on our behavior is that movies and television reduce stress. Watching movies, we can escape our problems for a while. Also, sometimes movies show good ways to solve problems that we all face. While TV and movies should not be a way of life, they can sometimes help us to cope.

Movie value:
The film is considered an important art, a popular entertainment source, and a powerful source of education – or teaching – for citizens. The film’s viewing foundation gives it the ability to connect around the world.

Movies teach us all sorts of things: how to wish, who to think about (all those princes will come), smoking, dressing up, going into a room (always like Bette Davis). They teach us who we should love and how, as well as the obvious need to give up love and work.

Movies / Movies:

the film is trying to convey or explore something bigger than itself. A movie is about giving the audience what they want. The film forces the audience to grow in some way, leaving the human race much better than when they entered. The movie leaves viewers happy, satisfied, but ultimately unchanging.

Bitcoin legalized for the 1st Time

El Salvador on 9th June made Bitcoin legal in their Country. It is the first country in the world to legalize the cryptocurrency. The law kept forward by the 39year old President Nayib Bukele was passed after it received 62 votes out of 84 votes. This law gives value to the digital currency just like the country’s main currency the US dollar.

According to the law, bitcoin must be accepted by the entities when offered as the payment for goods and services .Tax payments can also be made through the cryptocurrency. The dollar will be the dominant currency in the country while Bitcoin will also exist by the side.

In 2001, El Salvador completely dollarized its economy. It has no monetary policy of its own, it is linked to the monetary policies of the Federal Reserve in Washington.

The move was taken to stabilize and revive the economy and bring growth to the country. According the World Bank data, Remittances make up about $6 billion in 2019 which is about 20% of the El Salvador’s GDP (one of the highest ratios in the world).

Mr.Bukele said, through enabling transaction via bitcoins El Salvadorians could save transaction fee on banks and agencies. He also stated that the government would protect people from volatility of bitcoin prices by guaranteeing convertibility to dollars. In concern to Carbon footprint, he said he has asked the state-owned geo thermal electric company La Geo to connect renewable energy from the country’s volcano to the bitcoin facilities. The legal tender with bitcoin-dollar exchange rates set by the market will begin in 90 days. El Salvador will promote training and mechanism stated the law.

Mask hai zaruri

Masks help stop germs. Many medical masks are made of soft materials that cover the nose and mouth. There are stretch cords that run behind the head or ears. They keep the mask in place.

Your mask helps to protect those around you
Masks are an easy barrier to help prevent your respiratory drops from reaching others. Studies show that masks reduce dripping when applied to the nose and mouth. You should wear a mask, even if you do not feel sick.

Masks should be used as part of a comprehensive plan of measures to reduce transmission and save lives; the use of a mask alone is not sufficient to provide adequate level of protection to COVID-19.

All right. Your mask protects others from any infection that you may be unknowingly carrying. It protects anyone you meet, including store staff, other customers, family and friends. Many are aware that they are wearing masks, especially to protect the most vulnerable people in our society, including the elderly and those with a high risk.

IIT DELHI ANALYSES THE OUTCOME

New Delhi: Leading Indian universities can rank among the best 50 in the world, IIT Delhi director V. Ramgopal Rao has written to his colleagues. Rao, in his letter, has given a six-point diagnosis of the recently released QS World University Ranking, in which IIT Delhi was named the second-best from India with a global ranking of 185, eight positions behind IIT Bombay and one place ahead of IISc-Bangalore.While giving an analysis of the rankings, IIT-Delhi’s score in the global league table, and what should be done, Rao said one can also “replace IIT Delhi with Bombay or other top institutions from India, and the story remains the same” and the rankings must be seen with a context.

Here is the six-point analysis by director Rao on each of the parameters:

  1. Talking about academic reputation, which commands 40% weight in the QS World University Ranking, Rao said “we need to talk about ourselves more and inform public –both in India and abroad– about our research accomplishments. We simply need to be more visible ourselves. Outreach is important”. On a scale of 100, IIT Delhi was awarded 45.9 in the fresh world rankings.
  2. . IIT Delhi director wrote that in the employer reputation parameter, the institution is doing well. The school has got 70 out of 100 in this ranking indicator that commands 10% weight in the ranking.
  3. On faculty-student ratio, Rao said “we simply need to hire more faculty. Finding IIT quality faculty is a challenge. We can’t ramp it up beyond a point. We are highly quality conscious and rightly so. “Also, please note, the older IITs added 2500 additional students in the last two years because of EWS quota implementation. So we took a hit on this for reasons beyond our control”.
  4. Citations per faculty: “IIT Delhi a few years ago got a score of 94 on this. But we recruited 200 new faculty in the last 5 years, so our citations per faculty count has come down. Once these new faculty become productive in the system, this should rise again. We are on a strong foundation here,” Rao wrote in his letter.
  5. . On international faculty, which has been a traditional weakness for Indian institutions, Rao said “IIT jobs are government jobs. Recruiting international faculty is still riddled with policy issues at all levels. Whatever scores we get, these are mostly because of OCI/PIOs on our faculty. But we need to go global in our faculty hiring. We are trying, but it takes time. It can’t be changed overnight”.
  6. On international students, director Rao has written that “IITs need to admit more international students. Because of high level of preparation needed for the JEE Adv exam, the doors are almost closed for international students at the undergraduate levels. We are admitting more and more international students at the masters and PhD level. But we can’t do this at the cost of scores of Indian students who wish to come to these institutions but denied admission.“India simply needs to create a lot more high-quality institutions so the pressure on IIT admissions comes down. IIT Delhi has announced 500 PhD Fellowships for international students and also coordinates the national ASEAN PhD Fellowship Programme. Takes time for this. Pandemic has hit us hard here

The Cloud Kitchen

Mumbai is the city of dreams. The streets of this city are bustling with people, and there is a certain sense of urgency possessed by everyone who passes by. It is, after all India’s financial capital. Another important aspect of everyday life are the city’s dabbawalas.

Since 1890. dressed in white outfit and traditional Gandhi cap, Mumbai army of 5,000 Dabbawalas are fulfilling the hunger of almost 2,00,000 Mumbaikars with home cooked food that is lug between home and office daily. They are a lunchbox delivery and return system that delivers hot lunches from homes and restaurants to people at work. The lunchboxes are picked up late morning, delivered predominantly using bicycles and railway trains. and returned empty in the afternoon.

They have worked through the worst situations. Rains, floods, terror attacks but never seen something like this before. The pandemic has disrupted the delivery services, since most of the offices are closed and Mumbai’s workforce are managing work from home. A veteran tiffinwala stated that his team of seven dabbawalas used to make around 20 deliveries before, but now, not more than four. This forced him to go to his hometown in Pune to do farming, as he had to make ends meet for him and his family.

Ad Covid changed culinary culture, delivering hot lunches that would fetch dabbawalas Rs.14000-20,000 monthly has now reduced to almost nil. Following lockdown, around 3000 dabbawalas from many parts of Maharashtra especially Pune, Ambegaon returned back to their hometowns due to insufficient source of income. When offices started opening up last June, they were able to restart their services but with 300 dabbawalas. In the second lockdown, there is work for only 100-150. Mumbai dabbawalas saw their business plunge by nearly 90%.

Struggling to resume services, they found a new breed of tiffin takers-Covid care facilities, poeple in home quarantine, isolation centres and healthcare workers in hospitals. As times are changing, it was time for the approach of the Mumbai dabbawalas to change and run parallel to the current scenarios.

A recent news article stated,”There is no turning back the wheel and the tiffin carriers will no longer just be dropping off lunch boxes as they kick off the next era with the ‘cloud kitchen’. ”

Now, the Mumbai dabbawalas have created a website where poeple can directly place their orders. One can choose between monthly and annual subscriptions and they have also introduced online money transfers to make payments easier. Dabba services have always depended upon cash transactions and they faced financial difficulties during the pandemic.

The idea is to use their unique sorting skills to diversify, generate employment, bring stability and pride in what is India’s oldest food delivery chain. This website will also allow customers to choose between mini-meals and regular meals and will provide a wide menu of items to choose from.

This will be a huge transformation for the Mumbai dabbawalas who are now exploring new options and advancing in technology. They will rustle up a seven day rotating menu of home-style lunches in a 1,000 sq feet “cloud kitchen” at Saki Naka aimed at time-starved millenials. Some of the dabbawalas and their wives are currently being trained and they should be launching their service by mid-June.

Recycling Should Be Made Compulsory

In today’s world recycling is an essential thing. Today when new goods are generated on a daily basis and the proper disposal of old ones is becoming a huge concern, recycling is the only way to ensure judicial use of resources. It is our responsibility to leave a healthy planet full of natural resources for the future generation.

As we know that charity begins at home, similarly recycling also begins at home. We can make new products from the old ones instead of just throwing them. The idea is to take the whole concept of reducing, reuse, and recycle into consideration for us to protect of environment. The world in which we live is a consumer-driven one, and the urge to get new things every day is increasing exponentially. This in turn leads to heaps of waste generation. We need to see this generation of waste in a different light in order to solve this issue and promote the idea of recycling and making it compulsory.

Common household items that contain various recyclable materials like newspapers, steel cans, plastic laundry detergents, and soft drink containers. These materials when recycled can be used in new ways such as recovered glass in asphalt to pave roads.

How can recycling be defined properly?

The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), defines recycling as, “Recycling is the process of collecting and processing materials that would otherwise be thrown away as trash and turning them into new products. Recycling can benefit your community and the environment.”

It is the process of separating, collecting, and remanufacturing the used or waste products into new material. It does not help to extend the usefulness of something which has already served its original purpose but builds the idea of sustainable development.

Products made up of material like plastic, paper or metals are far from worthless even after they have served their original purpose. Studies show that up to 75 percent of all the waste can be recycled. If we carefully look around ourselves there is almost nothing that cannot be recycled. For example, stuff like batteries, biodegradable waste, clothing, electronics, garments, glass, metals, paper, plastics, and a lot more can be recycled.

Advantages of Recycling

Starting with the very basic one, recycling of wood and paper. As we already know that the natural resources are only limited and some have already started to deplete. In such a scenario recycling of wood and paper becomes fundamental as it saves trees and forests. It would result in a reduction in deforestation. When we recycle plastic, it would lead to reduced production of new plastic and less pollution caused by plastic waste which is even harmful to animals. Recycling of metals decreases mining activities.

Recycling plays an essential role when it comes to the economy of a country. It has been observed that it is six times cheaper to dispose of recycled waste than regular waste. This means, the more we recycle, the lesser is the amount of trash we produce and more money is saved. This can be beneficial for household businesses and local public services. For example, recycling food waste and green waste can reduce the cost of compost.

In short, we can say that recycling is extremely crucial to protect our environment as it prevents pollution, reduces the need to produce new raw material, saves energy and money. It is a way to sustainable development and an eco-friendly lifestyle.

HANDS THAT HEAL SHOULDN’T BLEED

COVID-19: AN EXPLOSIVE FUEL TO A RAGING FIRE

COVID-19 has brought fear, uncertainty and anxiety among people in an unprecedented fashion. Healthcare professionals (HCPs) around the world work tirelessly to serve humanity, all the while battling with these emotions. It is, therefore, truly disheartening when one learns about incidents of abuse and ostracism against HCPs, as the problem of violence against doctors in India is increasing steadily. Despite many reactionary measures like enhanced security to doctors at the workplace and stricter medical negligence laws, Indian doctors are teetering on the brink of a major silent crisis, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which is detrimental for the growth of the society in the coming times.

FIERY RECIPE FOR DISASTER

Dissatisfied patients and their agitated friends and relatives, impaired doctor–patient relationship, an ever hungry media and the medical community’s negative image created by misleading journalism are the usual perpetrators for violence against doctors. However, the fear and uncertainty of COVID-19 pandemic and the misinformed suspicion of doctors being vectors of transmission were the root cause for these recent catastrophes. These events put the medical community in a state of fear and regret for choosing a career when the society does not support them. A majority of doctors are now unwilling to motivate their children to pursue this profession, once revered by the society not too long ago.

PERSONAL ENCOUNTERS OF THE ‘ABUSIVE’ KIND

In March 2020, a nationwide lockdown was enforced in India, creating panic and uncertainty among patients, their kin and the general public. Many housing-property owners asked their tenanting doctors working in All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, the premier institute of national importance in India, to vacate their houses. In a personal incident, one of the authors experienced shock, when he went shopping for groceries. The shop owner had an apathetic look on seeing his vehicle’s hospital logo and asked him not to enter his shop. When he accidentally touched a stack of egg crates kept outside the shop, the owner got infuriated and ordered him to buy all the eggs, and asked him to never visit the shop again. Two female doctors in our hospital were beaten by a fruit seller after knowing they were doctors. A doctor in Chennai who had died due to COVID-19 was denied burial at two different cemeteries while his colleagues and family members were attacked by a mob. This inhumane act made the Indian government to effectuate an emergency ordinance for frontline corona workers under which any person attacking a health worker involved in treating COVID-19 can be jailed for up to 7 years. Since then, no such events were reported in the next 1 month, perhaps signifying a change in perception and behaviour. But alas, the relief was short lived. In June 2020, a doctor at Hyderabad’s coronavirus facility was assaulted by relatives of a patient who had died at the hospital. More than 300 postgraduate doctors treating patients with COVID-19 went on strike for 2 days, demanding protection and justice for this spate of violence but are yet to receive justice. In July 2020, a senior doctor was assaulted and stabbed by the deceased patient’s relative in Mumbai.

UNEASY ROAD TO CHANGE

Reactionary measures to an event of violence are unlikely to boost the flagging morale of the medical workforce or represent sustainable solutions. The change must come from ‘within’—within the people, in their perception towards doctors. To tide over this crisis, government agencies must work in tandem with the public; to abate their fears, to make them realise the criminal nature of vandalism and violence in a hospital, and the disgraceful and ungratifying marrow of ostracism. Also, for doctors to work fearlessly with devotion and dedication during COVID, there is a desperate need to rekindle the trust that patients and the society place in their doctors. Last, but not least, people should realise that hospitals are centres of healing and recuperation, and that doctors are integral to the health and well-being of the society.

Farmer’s contribution in every meal

Food is one of the basic necessity to live. Farmer’s play an important role in the food we eat everyday. The one who feed us doesn’t have proper food in their plates. Life is so unfair when it comes to give the equal reward to anyone for their hardwork and dedication. Our system works in one way direction where the rich gets everything with less hardwork but the poor suffers a lot even after putting their life on stake.

Many farmer’s take loans from the bank to buy seeds and proper equipment’s for farming. Multiple years rainfall doesn’t happen due to which their crops gets damaged. The interest of their loans and family pressure makes them take drastic steps like suicide or hurting themselves. The condition of farmers are not good in our country. Government should take into consideration about the challenges and hurdles faced by every farmer. We all should unite and appreciate their efforts.

The one who provide us food should be treated like a God. Farmer’s are just another God’s form for which we should give them respect and honor them. Life seems very beautiful at a distance, but when we dig into the reality of farmer’s condition is not at all good. We all should pray for farmer’s before we take any meal in a day. There is no way you can repay the sacrifices and dedication of any farmer in the whole world.

Just a Prayer can keep you grounded to the roots.

Child labour

Child labor is against the law to force a small child to be work. In India, as in many industries, to force the children to work illegally. Among the many branches of agriculture, it will attract more and more children to take part in the farming to earn their living. Eighty-five per cent of the children are from rural areas of India, as is the case on the basis of a variety of social factors, which do not suit their way of life.
On the elimination of child labour, many of the provisions of a constitution were adopted. In spite of this, many children are involved in hazardous working conditions. Many of the children are usually taken to be the education of paid work in order to earn a living for their families. In a cruel world is robbing them of their childhood, the joys of life.

Causes of child labour:

Poverty
Poverty is one of the most important causes of child labour. In developing countries, poverty is a big drawback, and that is a child, and the first to be sent here to lend a helping hand in order to provide for their families, and their families, support themselves

needs:
Some industries, such as the production of a bracelet, delicate hands, and little fingers need to be completely superb, perfection and precision

Sentence:
What is the penalty for the use of children in conflict with the law? Each and every person who employs a child under 14 years of age, or children between the ages of 14 and 18, which is a very dangerous job, or a process, which can be the cəzalandırıla in prison, a sentence of imprisonment of six months to two years and/or a fine of Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000.

June # The Pride Month

June is declared as the Pride Month to celebrate and create awareness about the LGBTQ+ Community. LGBTQ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer. The Rainbow flag is LGBTQ Pride Flag, the colors represent the diversity of the community. The flag has been redesigned this year to include intersex people to the movement which was led by Valentine Vecchietti of Intersex Equality Rights UK.

The whole Pride month will be organized with various events, activities and initiatives to make people proud of themselves for what they are and shout out to the society with pride for their rights and show to the society the changes that have happened so far and those yet to happen.

Origin:

The Pride Month is celebrated now because of the riot that happened in the past. ‘The Stonewall Uprising’ took place in New York on 28th June, 1969. American Constitution had laws banning homosexuality back then, the New York police often raided Queer bars and clubs and harassed Queer community people. Stonewall Inn was one of the most famous bar that allowed people to be themselves, it was raided frequently too but on that particular day the queer people did not take the slap and fought back which has brought changes in the world for better. The year after the riot, 1st Official Pride Parade took place on the Anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, with Christopher Street Liberation Day and the Parade is continued every year as a Tradition till date.

In INDIA:

Kolkata’s Pride march on 2nd July 1999 is the first ever march that was organized in India and it was called ‘The Kolkata Rainbow Pride Walk’. There were only about 15 participants in the event. The year 2018 was the joyous year for the pride parade as the article 377 was shattered down and the LGBTQ+ community all over the country marched as freer citizens that year. After removal of the article many came out of their closet and opened up. India is still more conservative and the discrimination against LGBT community is prevailing. This situation could be changed by educating in schools, colleges and creating more awareness in the society and making people understand about the community.

Everyone should take pride in supporting, spreading love and knowledge about the LGBTQ+ People.

Importance of Books

Books play a quintessential role in students life by introducing them to a world of imagination ,providing knowledge of the world improving their reading ,writing and speaking skil as well as loosting  memory and intelligence one key benefit of inculating the habit of reading is the development of critical thinking skills .

Reading look inceeases your knowledge enhance your inventenur  builds your vocabulary and generally makes you smarter .Books give plenty of joy to students ,and they learned a lot of things from books .They take them into a unique world of imagination and improve their standard of living .Books help to insipre students to do hardwork with change and hope

Why Do We Have Habits?

We don’t build new habits in the hope that our lives will become fully automated, repetitive, and robotic. We do it because habits are a tool for helping us do the things that make us come alive more frequently and more consistently. Habits are a method for accomplishing the things that provide meaning and purpose to our lives.

That’s exactly what my twice per week schedule did for the previous three years. It was a tool that helped me produce a volume of work, improve my skill set, and create meaningful work.

Creative Thinking: Destiny or Development?

Creative thinking requires our brains to make connections between seemingly unrelated ideas. Is this a skill that we are born with or one that we develop through practice? Let’s look at the research to uncover an answer.

In the 1960s, a creative performance researcher named George Land conducted a study of 1,600 five-year-olds and 98 percent of the children scored in the “highly creative” range. Dr. Land re-tested each subject during five year increments. When the same children were 10-years-old, only 30 percent scored in the highly creative range. This number dropped to 12 percent by age 15 and just 2 percent by age 25. As the children grew into adults they effectively had the creativity trained out of them. In the words of Dr. Land, “non-creative behavior is learned.

Similar trends have been discovered by other researchers. For example, one study of 272,599 students found that although IQ scores have risen since 1990, creative thinking scores have decreased.

This is not to say that creativity is 100 percent learned. Genetics do play a role. According to psychology professor Barbara Kerr, “approximately 22 percent of the variance [in creativity] is due to the influence of genes.” This discovery was made by studying the differences in creative thinking between sets of twins.

All of this to say, claiming that “I’m just not the creative type” is a pretty weak excuse for avoiding creative thinking. Certainly, some people are primed to be more creative than others. However, nearly every person is born with some level of creative skill and the majority of our creative thinking abilities are trainable.

Now that we know creativity is a skill that can be improved, let’s talk about why—and how—practice and learning impacts your creative output.

The Story of Anne Frank

Today, June 12, is Anne Frank’s birthday. Everyone must have heard her name in some way or the other. Either in her book, or in speeches or in the news. On this day, let’s remember this beautiful and kind soul who despite facing so much trouble, still believed in humanity.

Anne Frank was a German-Dutch diarist of Jewish heritage. One of the most discussed victim of the Holocaust, she gained fame posthumously with the publication of her diary titled,”The Diary of A Young Girl” in 1947.

In this diary, she documents her life in hiding during the German occupation of Netherlands during World War II. It is one of the most famous books in the world and has been transformed into plays and short films in various languages.

Anne Frank was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1929. However at the age of four, they had to move to Amsterdam, Netherlands when the Nazi took control over Germany. Anne was  German national, but her entire family’s citizenship was revoked, thus rendering them stateless. They later had to go into hiding due to the Nazi occupation of Netherlands. This was the plight of not just them, but all the Jews who were under German rule or whose territories were occupied by the Nazis.

By 1942, the persecutions of Jews was more rapid and rising further. Hence, Anne and her family went into hiding in some concealed rooms behind the office where Anne’s gather, Otto worked. Anne recieved a diary as her birthday gift in 1942. She kept records of her life in hiding and daily incidents that occurred. She kept the diary very private, not disclosing any of the thoughts and emotions that she penned down in it. She kept writing in the diary until 1944, when the family was captured by the Gestapo.

Anne and her sister, Margot were sent to a different concentration camp where they died(probably due to typhus). The only member of the family who survived was Otto Frank, who went back to his workplace to discover that the secretary had safeguarded Anne’s diary. Due to his efforts, this novel exists in the present and the world could witness the story of a young and talented girl.

Anne’s diary begins on her thirteenth birthday, and ends at about her fifteenth. At the start of the diary, Anne described typical experiences any girl would talk about. Her friendship with other girls, her crushes on boys and her academic performance in school.

Anne matures considerably throughout the course of her diary. Her entries started moving from detailed accounts of incidents into profound thoughts of humanity and life, in general. Anne feels lonely due her confinement and deprivation and also speaks about her relationship between family members.

In her diary, she longs to be seen as an individual, rather than a member of any society or religious group. We get to see the world’s developments during the war from a 15 year old girl’s perspective. Her last entry was on August 1, 1944. On August 4, her family was captured by the Germans.

This book shows us the horrors of the Holocaust and the condition in which Jews has to live due to fear of being killed. The Jews were killed due to their very existence and for no fault of their own. This shows us the views of a young, innocent girl who had so much to look forward to in life and it all just disappeared due to a war started by people.

This memoir will always remind us of the brutalities faced by people during the war and the impact of violence on younger generations.

Business That Boomed Despite Covid-19

1. Covid-19 E-Commerce Sales Spike Benefits Pouches & Other E-Commerce Packaging

While consumers have been gravitating to e-commerce from traditional brick-and-mortar retail for years, the pandemic has sped up that transition even further:

  • Government shutdowns of nonessential retailers in March eliminated brick-and-mortar as an option for consumers to buy many products.
  • Many consumers concerned about the coronavirus began reducing in-person trips to grocery stores and other retailers deemed essential and allowed to operate throughout the pandemic.

As a result, online retailers like Amazon and Instacart reported massive sales increases, and essential retailers also saw a sharp rise in online sales and use of services like curbside pickup. Entering the holiday season, online sales still continue to surge even after most retailers have reopened.

Though related opportunities are numerous, flexible packaging is one area where growth through 2024 will in part be propelled by e-commerce trends that the pandemic is accelerating. More amenable to shipping than other types of packaging due to their light weight and strength, for instance, pouches are expected to especially benefit from increased reliance on e-commerce for food, beverages, pharmaceuticals, and consumer goods.

2. Online Food Delivery Reaches Broad New Audience Following Restaurant Closures

One of the industries hardest hit by the economic shutdowns of March and the social distancing requirements of the May reopenings, the restaurant industry is attempting to offset revenues lost from dine-in capacity restrictions and consumer unease about eating out during a pandemic by getting online.

Online food delivery platforms like DoorDash, GrubHub, and UberEats have been around for a while, but staunch consumer preferences for eating out, particularly in the major US market, had been a key restrainer of growth. Covid-19 has changed all that, driving rapid expansion in the user base for these platforms as well as the number of restaurants hosted by them that is expected to outlast the pandemic.

Unexpected Consumer Markets Surge Due to Shutdowns

Stuck at home in quarantine, consumer purchasing behavior took a turn toward indulgence, comfort, and novelty during the pandemic.

3. Frozen Food Packaging Suppliers Get Boost as Consumers Splurge & Stock Freezers

Panic buying and increased indulgence purchases have driven remarkable growth for frozen food and ice cream brands during the pandemic compared to historical levels, boosting demand for the different types of packaging used for these products.

Freedonia analyst Carolyn Zulandt says, “Unlike a number of other industries, frozen foods — and the packaging for these foods — are seeing a boost in sales during the pandemic, primarily due to shifts in consumer buying habits. Consumers are preparing more meals at home and stockpiling food items with longer shelf lives, all of which benefits sales in the freezer aisle.”

Among the packaging products expected to benefit from increases in frozen food sales are the cups commonly used for the traditional ice-cream pint, as well as the ready-to-heat trays and (increasingly) bowls used for single-serve frozen meals.

4. With Shift to Remote Work & Learning, Pet Ownership Skyrockets

Covid-19 led to a boom year for the pet industry by triggering a surge in pet adoption, as widely reported in the press and confirmed by Packaged Facts pet owner surveys. A significant component of this surge has consisted of pet lovers adding to their menageries, says David Sprinkle of MarketResearch.com’s Packaged Facts, such that new pet acquisition has extended beyond dogs and cats to other types of pets, especially reptiles and small mammals.

Sprinkle explains: “The pet adoption wave ties not only to the stay-at-home pandemic period, but more specifically to having kids underfoot at home, given school closures and the disruption of recreational and entertainment activities. Given that pet ownership is a discretionary expense, and typically a considerable one, multiple-pet households tend to be relatively higher-income, further fueling the pet product and service premiumization trend that has reshaped the pet industry and made it an apple of investors’ eyes.”

5. E-Bike Sales Boom as Consumers Seek Fun, Safe Alternatives to Public Transport

When lockdowns struck in March, bike retailers were bracing for a major slump. Instead, the opposite happened. Demand for bikes and particularly e-bikes soared worldwide as consumers sought fun, safe alternatives to public transport during the pandemic, and supply chains struggled to keep up.

Freedonia analyst Gleb Mytko says Europe’s importance to the global e-bike market will continue to grow post pandemic: “The region offers manufacturers countless opportunities because it includes some of the world’s most developed e-bike markets (Germany, Netherlands) as well as markets with immense growth potential, like France. Today, both regional and foreign e-bikes are making strategic investments in Europe, expanding their sales and distribution networks, and rolling out the next generation of e-bikes.”

HAPPINESS

HAPPINESS:

Happiness is subjective. There may be nobody manner in which the term can be defined. For special humans, happiness holds one-of-a-kind connotations. For some, it implies a kingdom of thoughts; for others, it would imply a standard of way of life. every man or woman is an impartial, loose-thinking individual. absolutely everyone has an outlook on existence this is distinctive from the opposite. therefore, the definition of happiness is likewise variable for human beings. however, something can be the definition of happiness, there may be no denying that happiness is a vital part of our lives. without it, there is no factor in a dwelling or going about in existence.

There may be a commonplace word that is going: “cash can’t purchase happiness.” to a degree, it could be heralded as being valid. however, a few humans may additionally find it to be fake. For a selected section of society, happiness is defined by way of wealth. those people generally tend to do not to forget wealth as the measuring rod for their joys in life. For them, happiness in life comes from material ownership and properly-being. Riches, money, jewels, gold, and wealth cause them to glad; they remain content with those in their lives.

Happiness lies in the joy of achievement and the thrill of creative effort.”

For any other phase of society, wealth does now not act because of the agent for happiness in their lives. Many consider happiness to be a non-violent and calm sense of pleasure that occurs within one’s mind. For them, it can not be measured in terms of worldly matters. happiness tends to come to be a feeling, that can be grasped thru the pleasure of the mind and soul, and not via the pleasure of the body. happiness, for a few, can also mean achievement. Being ambitious, hardworking, and successful; regularly turn out to be ways wherein a person obtains happiness in life.

Something is our modes and methods of turning into satisfied, it tends to maintain changing over the years. No feeling is absolute. it’d manifest that the matters used to make us secure for the duration of our formative years, no longer keep the identical importance in our lives. This takes place due to the fact our priorities and our desires alternate through the years. As we develop up, our outlook and imaginative and prescient lifestyles mature, and we no longer base our happiness on matters we used to love formerly.

As a result, the nation of being happy largely relies upon upon what a specific person wishes from life. It relies upon someone’s goals and dreams in lifestyles. specifically and in most cases, indulging in the things that one loves the maximum turns into the important thing to a happy existence. consequently, love and happiness are without delay related. Without love, Happiness does now not persist. Likewise, without happiness, love does no longer persists.

As stated, the spread of things makes an expansion of human beings happy. there’s no proper or wrong way to acquire Happiness. exceptional human beings have unique strategies by which they can derive happiness. all of them are legitimate; none of them are fake or wrong. Judging people based on what they love and what they hate isn’t justifiable. all of us have distinctive priorities in life, and now not all of these are comparable. They can be different, but that doesn’t suggest they’re wrong. Doing something that makes one feel glad interior out ought to be considered as valid and rightful.

In Conclusion,  HAPPINESS can most certainly be found – and not just momentary pleasure, but genuine, long-lasting happiness, which is not something that comes to a person randomly. In fact, most people have to work very hard for a very long time to finally find happiness, to create the best possible version of it.

Girl Child

Foeticide is the destruction of a fetus in the womb of the mother itself. Ultrasound technology is available using which sex of the child can be determined while the fetus is in the womb and parents who don’t want a girl child undergo this test and then kill the baby in the womb before it is born.

The sex-selective abortion is not at all supportable. ‘Historically, in the absence of genetic testing, infanticide was the only inhumane option for discarding the female child. This heinous practise continues even today in India’s southern parts, where families cannot afford an illegal ultrasound test.

foeticide is the destruction of a fetus in the womb of the mother itself. Ultrasound technology is available using which sex of the child can be determined while the fetus is in the womb and parents who don’t want a girl child undergo this test and then kill the baby in the womb before it is born.

Government and individual institutions are trying their best to deal with this menace.

In India, the Pre-conception and Prenatal Diagnostic Techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994 (amended in 2003) prohibits sex-selection or disclosure of the sex of the foetus. It also prohibits sale of “any ultrasound machine or any other equipment capable of detecting sex of foetus” to persons, laboratories and clinics not registered under the Act .The government of India also recently launched the ‘BETI BACHAO ,BETI PADHAO’ Movement in order to promote girl education and demote the practice of female foeticide and infanticide.

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of India has targeted education and media advertisements to reach clinics and medical professionals to increase awareness. The Indian Medical Association has undertaken efforts to prevent prenatal sex selection by giving its members Beti Bachao (save the daughter) badges during its meetings and conferences.

“ASTHMA TREATMENT IN CHILDREN UNDER AGE 6”

“ASTHMA TREATMENT IN CHILDREN UNDER AGE 6”

Asthma is the most common respiratory condition in children worldwide and with asthma treatment, asthma can be controlled and cured by medication.

The ongoing inflammation of airways in the lungs is called asthma. This inflammation of airways causes a problem in breathing which is in general called an asthma attack. Allergies and colds are common triggers of the condition.

An asthmatic child needs to participate in normal physical activities that have less effort. In simple words, a child if once, get an asthma attack then he\she should not suffer from asthma again more than once in a week. Asthmatic children should not participate in sports or any physical activity. Asthma is well treated through medicines but every patients’ asthma is different that changes with time.

Doctors treat and recommend medicines according to the child’s severity and frequency of symptoms in accordance with age. Those children who get asthma occasionally get short medication course that treats them well while children who often get the asthma problem are recommended long course according to the severity and frequency of symptoms. A child specialist may recommend several medicines at the start but then those several medicines become few. The doctor does this in order to control asthma at a very initial stage.

At the most initial stage, parents are asked questions regarding their child’s asthma after observing asthma symptoms. Parents would be asked questions like “Does anybody in the family have asthma problems?” “How often your child get such symptoms?” “Has your child faced the emergency need for breathing problems?” “Does your child have any allergy from pollen dust etc?” “Does your child wake up at night due to shortness of breath and too much cough?” “For how long does your child had the breathing problem?” And after all this discussion, they would be asked to conduct their child’s blood test, allergy test, and chest X-Ray test. These three tests decide whether the child is asthmatic or not.

When a child is diagnosed to be asthmatic then special treatment is given to him. Try to treat your child with daily medication to prevent asthma attacks and also maintain normal physical activities. Children are treated gradually stepwise to manage with the minimum number of asthma attacks which requires short-term treatment.

On the other hand, long-term medication is also there that plays a role to treat severe cases. Inhaled corticosteroids are commonly used for the treatment of long term asthma. Control drugs like Leukotriene modifiers are then later used if corticosteroid treatment does not work properly and the child does not get stable. This drug is chewable for the age of 2-6 years. Another long term treatment is the inhaling of drug Long-acting beta agonist that is added into inhaler which has even more good effects. Short term medication is based on a few medicines that cure the child quickly within a few weeks.

During or after the asthma treatment, parents should keep a record of each minute of their child. “Did the child had a breathing problem again and how many times?” “What does he do which makes him asthmatic?” These questions are asked to check the result of the treatment and to recommend some other treatment to make the child well.

“REDUCE MENTAL STRESS IN THESE 4 WAYS”

“REDUCE MENTAL STRESS IN THESE 4 WAYS”
Stress that we continue to have becomes depression and depression leads to many mental disorders that ruin many lives if it is not taken care of. Reduce mental stress in life with the following 4 steps:

Find the causes of stress:

To start reducing stress, first identify the reason for your stress and the things that are bothering you. The reasons may be the burden of your work, divorce, your children, the burden of studies including many others. Never consider stress as an integral part of your life and do a keen observation of what bothers you at which point and ponder over your habits and attitude. The observation will help you identify what makes you nervous and what is keeping you stressed. Accept your responsibilities and do not think of them as a burden. Try to maintain your active role in life and stay socially active. Everything is in your mind. You just need to control your over-thinking.

Practice these 4 A’s (avoid, alter, adapt, accept):

Unnecessary stress should be avoided; try to avoid toxic people who became the reason for your stress. If anyone stresses you by his/her toxic behavior then end that relationship and stop meeting them.

Control your routine; if you feel stressed in too much traffic then avoid too much traveling. If you are stressed due to the unpleasant news on television then stop watching it.

Lastly, the avoid rule is to learn to say NO to whatever you are not fine with; know your limits and tell others that they cannot impose their order on you. You should be aware of your own rules and limits.

Altering the situation; never expect others to change their behavior rather have a check on yourself. First, change yourself and then expect others to behave in the right way. Balance your life and manage your life properly. Family, office, and friends should be given separate time.

Be grateful for what you have and adapt yourself to the stressors. Never have jealousy for others because it will only give you more stress. Never demand perfection because nothing can be perfect. Just adapt to the present situation and be happy for what it is.

Acceptance is the foremost thing that releases stress. Learn to accept the situation. Forgive others and look for more opportunities. Accept other people’s behavior. They have their lives and you have your own, never try to change others. Rather share your feelings with some trusted friend. You will feel less stressed.

Keep moving:

Never get disappointed with your life. You will always have new opportunities. To release stress, do small things like take long walks rather than traveling by car. Spend more time in nature than on social media. Listen to soft soothing songs. Play outdoor games. These things will help you keep moving in life.

Do fun:

Reduce mental stress by not letting negative things occupy your mind. Things will change, the situation will be resolved and the current phase of life will pass. Try to live within a situation, make out leisure time just relax.

“EVERYTHING IS IN YOUR HEAD. OVERTHINKING IS THE ROOT CAUSE OF YOUR STRESS”

Women Supporting Women

Our heartaches seeing woman degrading another woman despite of knowing the challenges faced by the female gender in the society. The jealousy factor is very high among women and they are not comfortable in seeing someone rising and moving ahead in life. Since very long time, People have started listening the decision made by women and follows them. It took a lot of time and struggle in reaching the position that we are today.

Education have played an very important role in making women independent and strong without fearing anybody. They can live their life on their terms. No one can tell them what to do in 21st century. Women have a capability of being way more mature than men when some difficult situation comes in front of them. People used to compare women with Goddess Durga in Hindu religion. The factor which had shown so many repercussions in the flow of success chart of women is that they don’t want to help and support other women while working in the same field and environment.

In several workplaces so many rumor’s starts spreading when someone is talented and working hard to achieve her goals just to damage her reputation. If we work on supporting others with the right intention , then no women will be tortured or face any domestic violence in their houses. It is the time to overcome from our fear of jealousy and start complimenting others for their achievements and dedication.

Women can also stand tall against men and can take better decisions in the patriarchal society. Every women is special in their own way, we can’t judge them by comparing them with others. God has made us different and It’s ok to be different. To know your self worth and move ahead in life is the quality we need to celebrate and accept. Accepting our flaws and being helpful to the needy person is the best thing to do.

“Women can support other women, It’s a time to change and Change start within yourself.”

Photography as an Art Form

The concept of photography came into existence from 1839 to the middle of the last century and had been a topic of debate whether photography is an art form or just a way of using the optical-mechanical instrument to capture reality. But today it can be safely said that it is indeed a form of art.

“Unlike any other visual image, a photograph is not a rendering, an imitation, or an interpretation of its subject, but a trace of it. No painting or drawing, however naturalist, belongs to its subject in the way that a photograph does.”- John Berger

Photography today has become a way of how we see history and the everyday world. The purpose of a photograph is not just limited to capturing a moment, but it has the power to represent an entire social movement or can cause a change. Just as stories and poetry are used by authors and poets to express themselves similarly photography is like a language only that is used by photographers to express not only their opinions but the other’s opinion as well. The final product of photography is a photograph which can be defined as an image captured on film, paper, or in digital form.

With the advancement of technology today, photographers can change the outcome of an image with help of various cameras, lenses, film, etc. Tools such as filters, studio lighting, digital enhancement are used to enhance the photographs. Photography is a unique art form as one gets to show his/her vision through it. A proper skill set is required to get a final photo that exactly translates an idea.

A photograph becomes a piece of art when the photographer establishes a connection with the subject. Photography is a significant part of today’s world. It also happens to be the most accessible and democratic way of making art that has ever been invented.

How is photography an art form?

Wikipedia defines art as a “diverse range of human activities in creating visual, auditory or performing artifacts, expressing the author’s imaginative or technical skill, intended to be appreciated for their beauty or emotional power.”

One can immediately link photography to this definition of art. Both art and photography have a key feature in common which is capturing emotions. A photographer can create art from any genre be it still life, street photography, documentary, landscape, nude, or portrait using a particular style and point of view, choice of lens, type of lighting, colour, or black and white.

Photography requires creativity and imagination. It has the ability to capture emotions through small details and it understands abstraction. It is the photographer’s idea that defines photography as art and offers us a different and fresh view of reality.

One doesn’t require to master the skill set to learn and appreciate the art of photography. It is a way to express ourselves through the lens of a camera and give wings to our imagination. Anyone can develop an artistic eye and great photographers have been able to develop their understanding of isolation and seeing beyond the original over time.

Building Collapse

Building Collapses has become common in India especially during rainy season June – September, torrential down pours are blamed usually for the destruction. A four-storey building fell on the neighbouring two-storey building which caused death of 11 person in western Mumbai. According to the civic officials, the building has structural faults and it was further damaged by Tauktae cyclone after which there were alterations made to it. The building also affected the residential buildings nearby causing people to evacuate them.

There are many incidents like this occurring in India not only caused because of rain but due to the old condition of the structure, illegal construction, buildings built using cheap quality materials ,constructing on inappropriate places etc., that results in collapses for which the damages and losses are faced by the residents living in.

There was another incident that occurred a month before this collapse, were dozens of people died when a building collapsed in the Mahad area in the south of Mumbai. The damage that occurs after a building collapse costs more to the victim and the in-charge. If appropriate measures and proper care are taken while constructing a building major damages like these could be avoided and it wouldn’t have costed people’s life. It is very important to consider safety of residents while a building is built rather than focusing on the profit.

Home is considered as the safest zone, it gives secured feeling to people but when collapses like these occur it is threatening their ultimate safety. If people are unsafe in their home where else can they be safe.

Is Cable Television becoming a Thing from the Past?

“On Friday night, I was reading my new book, but my brain got tired, so I decided to watch some television instead.” ― Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Can you recall, when was the last time you sat down on your sofa or bed to watch a show on your regular cable television? If your answer is no, that is alright. The reason behind this is the rise of online streaming services. There has been a significant rise in online streaming content which has left television with a fewer audience.

Not only the streaming services with new shows or web series is the reason behind cable television becoming obsolete but the very fact that the TV shows are also available online in the form of digital media, so people don’t have to take out time from their busy schedule to watch a particular show at a particular time, as they can catch the show anytime and anywhere on their mobile phones or laptops.

People simply choose the option of paying for what they want to watch and this becomes very easy to choose when the price for the streaming services are economical. Digital media provides a vast variety of TV shows or series. For example, all movies of all genres, sitcoms, documentaries, stand-ups, etc, are available on a single platform. Even sports like cricket matches are available online and people when busy just catch the live match online. This is why people are ready to quit cable TV and enjoy the no-credit-check cable service that streaming options provide.

Cable TV came down with the rise of Netflix and Amazon. Now after these two there are many other companies and television channels which are also trying to provide online streaming of their content. According to a Netflix representative, in the U.S, every three households have subscribed to Netflix. If you add that up, keeping in mind the entire population, the numbers would reach around 40 million in the United States alone. The streaming services provide the audience with an option of binge-watching while on the other hand, one cannot receive that as the shows on television air according to a set schedule.

The high-speed internet connections paved the way for ‘Smart TV’ as the audience wants to watch their favourite Netflix or Amazon prime show on the television this also one of the reasons for the downfall of cable television.

Cable TV vs TV shows online

There are some benefits of cable television that cannot be ignored and because of which there are some people who sit in front of the cable TV once in a while.

The conventional cable television offers a fixed bandwidth for the videos it plays, so the audience will never face technical issues like pixilation, buffering, lagging, etc.

The picture quality is never affected when it comes to ‘live’ content.

The current scenario is even after these few advantages that cable TV entails, people are switching to online streaming services, and they seem to enjoy the experience. The decline of cable TV is slow but seems to be inevitable.

It is said that World War III will not be fought for territories and geographic dominance, but it will be fought solely on the basis of water. This may sound unbelievable to citizens of developed nations. However, in a nation like India, there are already daily battles being waged by projects, individuals for access to this precious research.

India which almost completely depends on the annual monsoon season for water, currently faces the most severe water water crisis in its known history. A recent report by NITI Aaykg predicts that as many as 21 cities in the country will see total depletion of their groundwater resources by as early as 2020. Even today, our cities run like dry clockwork during summers. Neverthless there is not awareness raised about the simple solution of rainwater harvesting in India. Can we really afford to neglect this straightforward solution?

Let’s discuss what exactly is rainwater harvesting. It is the collection of rainwater rather than allowing it to run off. Rainwater is collected and stored in reservoirs or boreholes that allow percolation and increase of  the underground water table. However, this rainwater can also be purified and then used in domestic households and agricultural practices.

In Chennai, rainwater harvesting has been made compulsory and fresh design structures have been incorporated into the Tamil Nadu Combined Developemnt and Building Rules, 2019.

In rural Maharashtra,  Shirpur-once a drought stricken area-has literally turned green due to adoption of rainwater harvesting.

Major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad do have laws regarding rainwater harvesting. For example, in Bangalore, law states that every structure built on 30×40 Sq feet and above and old buildings built on 40 x 60 Sq feet and above should install rainwater harvesting systems.  In case any building fails to do so, a penalty will be faced every month.

However, it is not good enough for these rules to exist just on paper. If the concerned authorities fail to check regularly to ensure their on ground implementation, rules for harvesting won’t hold value.

State governments can popularize rainwater harvesting by launching awareness drives, not just in urban areas but in rural areas as well. This can be done by incentivising housing societies that do comply, such as offering a rebate on property tax for installing the system.

But in situations like these, joint efforts need to take place. We all are citizens of this country, hence its our duty to ensure that we preserve our environment and the planet. Even if it is not given in the law, people can consciously work towards installation of rainwater harvesting systems in their building or even in their locality if they get the right kind of support.

In rural areas, rooftop water harvesting is the most easy solution. It is seen as a basic, inexpensive method for requiring minimum expertise for implementation. This is ideal for supplementing existing water sources which may become brackish or polluted.

We need to act soon, before our water resources get completely dried up. Water is slowly becoming a rare resource in many areas of the country, and this cannot happen-or India will eventually lose it’s own water wars.

Volunteers will be trained to support 20 affected families each by educating caretakers to follow protocols, provide psycho-social support and timely updates about patients to the administration.

Correct usage of oxygen concentrators :

The campaign will also undertake capacity building of citizens for correct usage of oxygen concentrators supplied to these districts.

In a statement, NITI Aayog CEO Amitabh Kant said, ‘Surakshit Hum Surakshit Tum Abhiyaan is a significant initiative that responds to immediate needs and will provide long-term support to India’s poorest communities in the Aspirational Districts by addressing the lasting impact of COVID-19.’

The 5 Stages of the Creative Process

In 1940, an advertising executive named James Webb Young published a short guide titled, A Technique for Producing Ideas. In this guide, he made a simple, but profound statement about generating creative ideas.

According to Young, innovative ideas happen when you develop new combinations of old elements. In other words, creative thinking is not about generating something new from a blank slate, but rather about taking what is already present and combining those bits and pieces in a way that has not been done previously.

Most important, the ability to generate new combinations hinges upon your ability to see the relationships between concepts. If you can form a new link between two old ideas, you have done something creative.

Young believed this process of creative connection always occurred in five steps.

  1. Gather new material. At first, you learn. During this stage you focus on 1) learning specific material directly related to your task and 2) learning general material by becoming fascinated with a wide range of concepts.
  2. Thoroughly work over the materials in your mind. During this stage, you examine what you have learned by looking at the facts from different angles and experimenting with fitting various ideas together.
  3. Step away from the problem. Next, you put the problem completely out of your mind and go do something else that excites you and energizes you.
  4. Let your idea return to you. At some point, but only after you have stopped thinking about it, your idea will come back to you with a flash of insight and renewed energy.
  5. Shape and develop your idea based on feedback. For any idea to succeed, you must release it out into the world, submit it to criticism, and adapt it as needed.

A Problem in Need of a Creative Solution

In the 1870s, newspapers and printers faced a very specific and very costly problem. Photography was a new and exciting medium at the time. Readers wanted to see more pictures, but nobody could figure out how to print images quickly and cheaply.

For example, if a newspaper wanted to print an image in the 1870s, they had to commission an engraver to etch a copy of the photograph onto a steel plate by hand. These plates were used to press the image onto the page, but they often broke after just a few uses. This process of photoengraving, you can imagine, was remarkably time consuming and expensive.

The man who invented a solution to this problem was named Frederic Eugene Ives. He went on to become a trailblazer in the field of photography and held over 70 patents by the end of his career. His story of creativity and innovation, which I will share now, is a useful case study for understanding the 5 key steps of the creative process.

PRIDE MONTH

Month of June also known as pride month all across the world. Pride month was introduced to give our respect to all the LGBTQIA+ communities who are fighting to be treated like a human. Every person of different gender is first a human being, They should get proper treatment and respect without any discrimination because of the different gender . In the society we live, People who belongs to LGBTQIA+ community were considered to be different from a normal human being. They weren’t allowed to live on their terms. Their family members doesn’t even accept them being different from male and female.

It was considered to be a disease to being a guy or a lesbian. Families used to adopt different methods like black magic, superstition and taking them to priest only to make them feel horrible about who they are. The forms filled for the admission in school or colleges, Gender section used to have only two sex i.e., Male and Female. In several foreign countries, Gay or lesbian marriage is now considered to be legal. They don’t need to run away from their identities and can live happily and start a normal family .

Even in 21st century, India has not allowed gay or lesbian marriages. It is still considered to be illegal and will take more time to accept them with open hearts. It took a lot of time and efforts to make people realize about the importance of other genders who also deserves to get proper education, job and get married. Sexual preference of any individual should not be an issue , It should be personal choice .

Since long time , They have faced humiliation, discrimination and harsh words from the society. Now, It’s our time to make them feel comfortable and normal . Treat them with equal amount of respect and honor. LGBTQIA+ community deserves our support and love in order to accept them with their true identities rather than degrading them for their gender being different. Pride month is a great initiative to give them the equal position in our society. It also creates awareness about the delicacy of treating them with ill-behavior towards these communities.

Love can be between of any two people with different color, gender, age or with same gender , color or age. It is all about accepting ourself with a good motive and move forward with a kind heart.

EFFECTS OF GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming is expected to have far-reaching, long-lasting and, in many cases, devastating consequences for planet Earth.

Global warming, the gradual heating of Earth’s surface, oceans and atmosphere, is caused by human activity, primarily the burning of fossil fuels that pump carbon dioxide (CO2), methane and other green house into the atmosphere.

Despite political controversy about climate change, a major report released Sept. 27, 2013, by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) stated that scientist are more than concern of the link between human activities and global warming. More than 197 countries agree that global warming is real and has been caused by human action.

Already, global warming is having a measurable effect on the planet.

“We can observe this happening in real time in many places. Ice is melting in both polar ice caps and mountain glaciers. Lakes around the world, including Lake Superior, are warming rapidly — in some cases faster than the surrounding environment. Animals are changing migration patterns and plants are changing the dates of activity,” such as trees budding their leaves earlier in the spring and dropping them later in the fall, Josef Werne, a professor of geology and environmental science at the University of Pittsburgh, told Live Science.

Here is an in-depth look at the changes wrought by global warming.

Increase in average temperatures and temperature extremes

One of the most immediate and obvious effects of global warming is the increase in temperatures around the world. The average global temperature has increased by about 1.4 degrees Fahrenheit (0.8 degrees Celsius) over the past 100 years, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).

Since record keeping began in 1895, the hottest year on record worldwide was 2016, according to NOA AND NASA. That year Earth’s surface temperature was 1.78 degrees F (0.99 degrees C) warmer than the average across the entire 20th century. Before 2016, 2015 was the warmest year on record, globally. And before 2015? Yep, 2014. In fact, 16 of the 17 warmest years on record have happened since 2001, according to NASA.

“SMALLPOX; CAUSES, SYMPTOMS, AND PREVENTION”

“SMALLPOX; CAUSES, SYMPTOMS, AND PREVENTION”

Smallpox was an infectious disease caused by the two variants of the virus, namely Variola major and Variola minor. It was capable of spreading from one person to another. Smallpox was proven fatal for about every third person in ten patients.

The people who survived this disease have remained with permanent scars on their bodies. It had no known origin, but it spread over all the globe through trade and travel.

This disease had several stages as it tends to increase. Every stage showed its own salient features. The first stage included the time period of no visible symptoms. In this stage, the virus resided the body without causing any harm. This stage was known as the Incubation period. This usually lasted seven to nineteen days.

Once the virus started invading the body, initial symptoms started to appear which included high fever, body aches, and occasional nausea, sometimes vomiting. This phase was partially considered contagious.

The early rash phase started as the rashes started to appear as red spots on the tongue and mouth. These spots tend to spread the virus into the whole body through mouth accompanied by fever. After these spots break and burst into the mouth, these spots start appearing on the whole body.

Gradually the spots started filling with an opaque fluid forming a dent in the center. The skin sores were changed into bumps. This stage was considered highly contagious. As the days passed, the sores changed into the pustules which were solid and firm to touch and appeared like pus under the skin.

The pustules then transformed into the scabs that then fallen off in the next stage, leaving a mark behind on the skin. Till here, the disease was observed as contagious. In the last stage of being non-contagious, all the scabs left the body.

The infection is spread through direct and indirect contact with sick people. It was also capable of advancing through the airborne medium. The survey shows that the disease escalated through the infected fluid of an infected person. Direct contact through physical means, the droplets from their nose and mouth as a result of sneezing or coughing.

The scabs or pustules which were filled with fluids contained a variola virus that contaminated not only the patient’s body but also the objects held by the infected person. When a healthy person touched the contaminated belongings of the ill person, the chances of being infected increased. Scientists researched that smallpox tended to be spread through the air medium only.

The only prevention to avoid the disease was to get vaccinated, but when the smallpox outbreak occurred, there was no vaccine to get cured that resulted in an extensive death toll rate. The naturally occurring case was reported back in 1977. After which no other case has been turned up till now.

” THE FIGHT BEGINS AGAINST INFECTIOUS DISEASES”

”  Infectious diseases introduced with Europeans, like smallpox and measles, spread from one Indian tribe to another, far in advance of Europeans themselves, and killed an estimated 95% of the New World’s Indian population”

“TIPS FOR IMPROVING YOUR MENTAL HEALTH WHILE WORKING FROM HOME”

“TIPS FOR IMPROVING YOUR MENTAL HEALTH WHILE WORKING FROM HOME”

In the era of COVID-19 pandemic, businesses are struggling to open and more people continue working from home.

While many lost their jobs, modern technology through advancements created many new. Technology brings ease in our daily life as we can collaborate with team members and can share business documents safely and securely.

However, the combination of quarantine and constantly staying online has some negative impacts on mental health.

Before the pandemic, 81 percent of the remote workers expressed that they feel exhaustion, mental suffocation under longer working hours and 19 percent online workers revealed they feel loneliness.

Pandemic just brought more anxiety, fear of having an infection and social isolation in the community.

In order to fight against loneliness, anxiety, exhaustion and keeping the mental health in check during working from home, one must bring a balance in their lives and here is how;

1 – SEPARATE YOUR WORKSPACE:

In normal life when you leave the office you basically distance yourself from work. But in the pandemic, if you are having a meeting on the couch or opening your email in the living room and sticky notes floating as you sit in the lounge will always give you a feel that you are in the office and it will not be possible to distance yourself from work.

In this situation, experts advise to build a separate workspace in your house and do all of your work-related activities in that particular area.

No matter how much you decorate your working table to make it less depressing if it’s right in front of you every time you feel depressed.

To improve your mental health it’s very necessary to withdraw from the workspace at the end of the day.

2 – HAVE DEDICATED COMMUNICATION TIME SLOTS:

Emails, messages, and notification are the ones that can easily deviate your focus from work. These tiny distractions are a barrier to being productive. In order to avoid being distracted, you need to schedule a time slot in which you are going to reply to all the messages, notifications and can check emails.

Choose the time slot which is least productive. There are some people who like to work in the morning and then there are those who are productive in the nighttime. So if you are a morning person choose a slot that does not disturb your efficiency.

3 – CREATE A ROUTINE:

There is a lack of routine structure for the remote workers in the coronavirus pandemic as they need to take care of their kids, spouse, parents, and daily routine household activities.

To balance family life, you need to create a routine and follow it strictly. Make a timetable of your daily tasks and improve your mental health and deal with both the house and work-related activities accordingly.

4 – MARK YOUR BOUNDARIES:

Whether you are a freelancer dealing with challenging clients or employed as an office worker following your supervisor, it is necessary to express your limit.

The pressure of being available 24/7, responding to customers even after the office hours or handling one more task at the end of the day you feel pressure and anxiety. In order to make secure your mental health, you need to first safeguard your personal time.

All you have to do is express your concern to your supervisor regarding your availability of office hours and clarify what qualifies as an emergency. By doing that it will spark a light of positivity.

Finding an equilibrium while work from home is a difficult task but by making effort you will succeed eventually.

Hockey vs. Cricket

Hockey is the national sport of our country India . Still people love to watch Cricket  far more than cricket . Hence the cricketers are paid 10 times more than even the highest paid  hockey players . Even the highest paid sports are cricketers . So Cricket should be declared the National Sport of our country India . The importance that the game Hockey deserves is not given to it . So we should not only watch Cricket but also watch Hockey and other sports . That is all we can do on our part . We can not do more than this .
