MOTHER’S LOVE

There is nothing that can come close to the love that a mother feels for her children. Women are inherently good mothers. Till birth women carry their young and then continue their love & affection throughout their childhood and even into adulthood. Every Mother always makes sure that their children are safe and happy throughout their childhood. It is the love for their child that a mother feels that drives these feelings. No one can describe in words the feeling that a mother has towards her children. In fact, most people do not understand unless they become a mother themselves. Love always encourages us in any falls which come in life. She is the only person who has no demands except our best future.
A Mother always wants best for her child and never compromise on anything related to her child. Parents protect their child from any difficult situation and provide him all comfort that they can afford. Mothers love is not only about pampering her child but also about letting her child know the moral and cultural values.A good upbringing makes the better future of a person and a mother does an excellent job to give the best future for her child. She converts a house into a home; she works as a superwoman because to keep managing household works and to fulfill all family members’ requirement on time is no easy task at all.
If we talk about working ladies than we can’t even imagine how she would manage all things together. I am proud of my mother who has nurtured me along with doing a job and also managing home properly. After birth, a child finds his mom as the first friend who plays with him along with extra care and nourishment. She interacts with her child as a friend and keeps watching all her child’s activities.A mother never feels tired while playing with her child and always fulfills all his demands without thinking of her. A mother is like an angel for her child. When a child born; it is the mother who easily understands the feelings or requirements of her child. She spends every second around her child for fulfilling his all needs. Since childhood, our mother keeps telling us what is wrong and what is right in a manner to build us as a good human being and also encourage us to do good things in life.
She loves and cares us without any personal greed. The fragrance of a mother can easily be recognized by her newborn child. Since birth, a child is being observed by his mother. For providing a child all comforts she does all needful. All mothers are pure by heart and want all the best things in their child’s life whether it is any toy, clothing, education and the values. Motherhood is the best part of life a lady can have. It is a full-time job without any salary but it worth’s a lot for a child. Mother’s love is something that can feel, mothers love is like a blessing by God, mothers love is everything. People who escape from the love of their mothers are really very unfortunate.

MOTHER TERESA

Mother Teresa became nun at the early age to serve the mankind in sorrow and suffering, helpless and downtrodden people, the orphans, homeless and hungry. She was born on 26th August, 1910. At 18 she left home and joined the charity of Loreto, an Irish community of nuns with missionary in India.Mother Teresa was the founder of the Order of the Missionaries of Charity, a Roman Catholic congregation of women dedicated to helping the poor. They are responsible for homes and hospices for those with tuberculosis, leprosy and HIV/AIDS as well as running soup kitchens, counseling programs for families, orphanages and schools. Those working for her missionaries must accept the vows of poverty, chastity, obedience and to give to those who are poor. Nun and missionary Mother Teresa, known in the Catholic church as Saint Teresa of Calcutta, devoted her life to caring for the sick and poor. Born in Macedonia to parents of Albanian-descent and having taught in India for 17 years, Mother Teresa experienced her “call within a call” in 1946. Her order established a hospice; centers for the blind, aged and disabled; and a leper colony. In 1979, Mother Teresa received the Nobel Peace Prize for her humanitarian work. She died in September 1997 and was beatified in October 2003.
There are many humanitarian in the history of the world. Out of the blue, Mother Teresa stood in that crowd of people. She is a lady of great caliber who spends her whole life serving the poor and needy people. Although she was not an Indian still she came to India to help its people. Above all, in this essay on Mother Teresa, we are going to discuss the various aspects of her life.Mother Teresa was not his actual name but after becoming a nun she received this name from the church after the name of St. Teresa. By birth, she was a Christian and a great believer of God. And due to this reason, she chooses to become a Nun.
She was an angel of hope for the people but death spares no one. And this gem died serving people in Kolkata (Calcutta). Also, on her death the whole nation shred tears in her memory. With her death the poor, needy, homeless, and weak again become orphans. Many memorials were made in her honor by the Indian people. Apart from that, foreign countries also make several memorials to give tribute to her.It was a difficult task for her to manage and teach poor children. But, she manages those hardships delicately. In the beginning, of her journey, she uses to teach poor kids using a stick by writing on the ground. But after years of struggle, she finally manages to arrange the necessary things for teaching with the help of volunteers and some teachers.
She was a well know woman due to her charity works and her missions that she did around the world. I chose this person because I think that she is a great person and I admire Mother Teresa because she helped poor people and she did so many works with the homeless people.

Everybody wants a superhero in their life. But the real and first superhero in the lives of a child is their father.
For every person, the father is the symbol of strength that binds the entire family together. A father works day and night tirelessly to support the whole family economically and morally. He is the most important member of the family whose love for his children is just like oxygen for the survival of the lives. There’s nothing that big that he could not do for his family and there’s no such sacrifice that he will not do. Every little thing he does makes him great!!
Whenever we are stuck in a problem, the first person we remember is our father. Father is a pivotal element of the society and stands as a pillar for the family, on whom we can rely. He makes sure that none of the members feels dejected for lack of anything. Fathers take up all the responsibilities, be it the education of his children or every other monetary needs. He works every day in the quest of bettering everything and thus bettering the condition of the family. FATHER OF ENGLISH LITERATURE- CHAUCER

Geoffrey Chaucer was born in London in 1340. He was an English author, poet, philosopher, courtier, and diplomat. He is also referred to as the father of English Literature.was the first to write what became generally well-known and recognized poems and stories in the language of the common people of his time – medieval English.

Geoffrey Chaucer was born in the reign of Edward III, lived through that of Richard II, and died the year after Henry IV ascended the throne. His father and grandfather were both London vintners and several previous generations had been merchants in Ipswich. His family name is derived from the French chasseur, meaning “shoemaker”. We know practically nothing about his childhood, but it is evident from the wide and varied scholarship with characteristics his writings that he must have enjoyed the advantages of a liberal education. At seventeen he received a court appointment as a page to the wife of the Duke of Clarence, Edward III’s son. In 1359 he was with the English army in France, where he was taken prisoner, but was soon ransomed for 16 pounds. Sometime after this, he married and became valet of the king’s chamber.
Chaucer’s literary career into three periods, which are called his French, his Italian, and his English period, respectively. His genius was nourished, to begin with, on the French poetry and romance which formed the favourite reading of the court and cultivated society during the time of his youth. Naturally, he followed the fashion and his early work was done on French models. Thus, besides translating proportions at least of the popular Roman de la Rose, he wrote among other quite imitative things, an allegory on the death of Blanche, John of Gaunt’s wife which he called The Bake of Duchesse (1369) and which is wholly in the manner of the reigning French school. Chaucer is the disciple of the great Italian masters, for The House Of Fame clearly owes much to Dante, while Troylus and Cryseyde by far his longest single poem, is based upon and in part translated from, Boccaccio’s Filostatrato. To the close of this period, the unfinished Legende of Good Women may also be referred. Finally, he ceases to be Italian as he had ceased to be French and becomes English. The Canterbury Tales in which we have Chaucer’s most famous and characteristic work.
The Canterbury Tales is a collection of 24 stories that runs to over 17,000 lines written in Middle English by Geoffrey Chaucer between 1387 and 1400.The tales mostly written in verse, although some are in prose are presented as part of a story-telling contest by a group of pilgrims as they travel together from London to Canterbury to visit the shrine of Saint Thomas Becket at Canterbury Cathedral. The prize for this contest is a free meal at the Tabard Inn at Southwark on their return. All this is explained in the prologue after which Chaucer proceeds to introduce his fellow Pilgrims. He lived to complete a small portion only, for the work as we have it is merely a fragment of 24 tales.

SELF-CONFIDENCE

Self-confidence is a combination of a state of mind and a strong feeling of self-belief which is commonly used when one needs self-assurance especially in one’s personal judgment, power, ability. It is that voice which comes from your inside and gives you a boost to do something which fears you.Not everyone is born with an inbuilt sense of self-confidence. Sometimes it can be hard to develop confidence, either because personal experiences have caused you to lose confidence or because you suffer from low self-esteem.Self-confidence, then, is similar to self-efficacy in that it tends to focus on the individual’s future performance; however, it seems to be based on prior performance, and so in a sense, it also focuses on the past.

A confident person:
does what they believe is right, even if it’s unpopular
is willing to take risks
admits their mistakes and learns from them
is able to accept a compliment
is optimistic.
There are a number of things you can do to build your confidence. Some of them are just small changes to your frame of mind; others you’ll have to work on for a bit longer to make them familiar habits.
Look at what you’ve already achieved:
It’s easy to lose confidence if you believe you haven’t achieved anything. Make a list of all the things you’re proud of in your life, whether it’s getting a good mark on an exam or learning to surf. Keep the list close by and add to it whenever you do something you’re proud of. When you’re low in confidence, pull out the list and use it to remind yourself of all the awesome stuff you’ve done.
Think of things you’re good at:
Everyone has strengths and talents. Recognising what you’re good at, and trying to build on those things, will help you to build confidence in your own abilities
Set some goals:
Set some goals and set out the steps you need to take to achieve them. They don’t have to be big goals; they can even be things like baking a cake or planning a night out with friends. Just aim for some small achievements that you can tick off a list to help you gain confidence in your ability to get stuff done.
Talk yourself up:
You’re never going to feel confident if you have negative commentary running through your mind telling you that you’re no good. Think about your self-talk and how that might be affecting your self-confidence. Treat yourself like you would your best friend and cheer yourself on.
Get a hobby:
Try to find something that you’re really passionate about. It could be photography, sport, knitting or anything else! When you’ve worked out your passion, commit yourself to giving it a go. Chances are, if you’re interested or passionate about a certain activity, you’re more likely to be motivated and you’ll build skills more quickly.
Be honest with yourself about what you know and what you still need to learn
Practice doing the things you are unsure about
Embrace new opportunities to prove you can do difficult things

CHARITY

Charity is an act of kindness where a person who has more than enough of what he or she needs contributes a part of his or her surplus income for the fulfilment of the needs of those who are less capable.

Charity is possible in various forms. The broader meaning of charity is donating money to an organization; governmental and non- governmental for the fulfilment of the purpose for which it has been established. There are thousands and thousands of charitable organizations all around the globe; you just need to find out who deserves your help the most. There are charitable organizations for the handicapped and the disabled, for the poor, for educating the illiterate, for uplifting the status of woman in the society and many more. It is good if one can contribute by paying cash but if an individual is interested, he or she can join such charitable organizations as volunteers thus helping conducting the internal affairs of the organization.Charity begins at home.” This is an old saying with a deep hidden meaning inside. This means that it is not enough to contribute good and money to the charitable organizations alone. If your own grandmother is lying on the bed and you do not serve her and instead are interested in helping a charitable organization, you surely do not understand the true meaning of charity.
Charity is not showing off. It means that you should help the people in need from the bottom of your heart. If your servant is in serious need of money or any other material goods, help him first; because there are many people who will come forward and help a charitable organization but the only source of income for your servant is you. Your servant cannot think of any source of income other than you because that individual works for you 24*7. Charity is definitely not your cup of tea if you are only interested in showing- off. Helping others is the biggest charity.Offering your seat to an elder person or a kid in a metro or bus is charity, carrying the shopping bag all by yourself instead of bothering your mother is charity, giving a good pay to your servants and people working under you, just a little more than they are capable of is charity.
Charity as a matter of fact is a very wide phenomenon that cannot be described in words. It is said that if you give someone something, you get ten times in return. But this saying is incomplete; the truth is that if you give someone something with a pure heart, expecting nothing in return, you will surely get more than ten times in return.A charity free from any selfish motives is charity in true sense of the term. You will find many people who are supporting charitable causes but very few among them give charity in true sense of the term. Such people are also good because even if they are supporting a charitable institution for securing name and fame, at least their money is used for a good cause. And the reality is all’s well that ends well.

HONESTY

Honesty implies being truthful. Honesty means to develop a practice of speaking truth throughout life. A person who practices Honesty in his/her life, possess strong moral character. An Honest person shows good behavior, always follows rules and regulations, maintain discipline, speak the truth, and is punctual. An honest person is trustworthy as he always tends to speak the truth.

Every one of us must have heard the phrase “Honesty is the Best Policy”. It is indeed a wise phrase. Probably, every child learns this teaching from their parents.A major component for developing moral character is Honesty. Honesty helps in developing good attributes like kindness, discipline, truthfulness, moral integrity and more. Lying, cheating, lack of trust, steal, greed and other immoral attributes have no part in Honesty. Honest people are sincere, trustworthy and loyal, throughout their life. Honesty is valuable and it is the habit of utmost importance. Honesty certainly helps people in knowing who you really are.
Honesty removes fear from the heart. It makes a person courageous and confident. It certainly takes a huge amount of courage to speak the truth. Speaking truth is a sign of bravery. The one who lies is a coward. Speaking falsehood is a sign of low self-confidence.Honesty certainly reflects the maturity of a person. An individual is probably mature if he regularly speaks the truth. Honesty strengthens and improves relationships between people. It certainly helps in bringing people together. Honesty is the peace of mind. Honesty certainly makes an individual feel free.Have faith in people. Almost everyone lies because of a lack of faith in others. Honesty plays an important role in everyone’s life and it is a character which is visible with open eyes like an open book. Having considered as an Honest person, by society is one of the best compliment one can dream of in his/her entire life. It is the real character a person earns in life by being sincere and dedicated towards it. Lack of honesty in society is doom. It is due to the lack of proper interpersonal relationship between parents-children and students-teachers. Honesty is a practice which is built slowly and patiently, firstly at home and then school. Hence home and school are the best places for a child to develop Honesty since his/her growing times.
Honesty is always admirable in the family, civil society, friends and across the globe. A person with honesty is respected by all.Honesty can also be developed practically which requires proper guidance, encouragement, patience, and dedication.Dishonest people may easily get trust and respect from other people. However, they lose that forever whenever they get caught. An honest person moves freely in society and spread his/her fragrance in all directions. Being honest is never mean to bear the bad habits of others or bear ill-treated activities. Everyone has rights to reveal and take action against what is going wrong with him.Honesty is an essential requirement in modern time. It is one of the best habits which encourages an individual and make capable enough to solve and handle any difficult situation in his/her life.

HOW TO OVERCOME LAZINESS

It is the desire to be idle, to do nothing, resist effort, procrastinate and postpone doing things. It is a state of passivity and of letting things stay as they are.

Make your goals manageable:
Setting unrealistic goals and taking on too much can lead to burnout. Job burnout can cause exhaustion, loss of interest and motivation, and a longing to escape.Avoid overloading by setting smaller, attainable goals that will get you where you want to be without overwhelming you along the way.
Use positive instead of negative self-talk:
Negative self-talk can derail your efforts to get things done in every aspect of your life. Telling yourself that you’re a lazy person is a form of negative self-talk.You can stop your negative internal voice by practicing positive self-talk. Instead of saying, “There’s no way I can get this done,” say, “I’ll give it my all to make it happen.”
Create a plan of action:
Planning how you will get something done can make it easier to get there. Be realistic about how much time, effort, and other factors are needed to meet your goal and create an action plan. Having a plan will provide direction and confidence that can help even if you hit a hurdle along the way.
Use your strengths:
Take a moment to think about what your strengths are when setting goals or gearing up to tackle a task. Try to apply them to different aspects of a task to help you get things done. Research has shown that focusing on strengths increases productivity, positive feelings, and engagement in work.
Ask for help:
Many people believe that asking for help is a sign of weakness.Asking for help improves your chances of success and helps you connect with others who can encourage and motivate you.
Avoid distraction:
We all have our favorite distractions we turn to when we’re just not feeling like doing a task — whether it’s scrolling through social media or playing with a pet.Find ways to make your distractions less accessible. This can mean finding a quiet place to work, like the library or an empty room, or using an app to block sites that you scroll mindlessly when you should be on task.
Break down a task into smaller tasks:
We often avoid tasks because we find them too big, too overwhelming, too tiring, or taking too much of our time. Breaking a task into several smaller tasks can solve this problem.
Rest, sleep and exercise:
In some cases, laziness is due to being tired and lacking energy. If this is true in your case, you need to give yourself the rest and sleep you need, and you also need to give your body enough exercise and fresh air.Rest, sleep and exercise give your body the strength and refreshment it needs.
The importance of motivation:
In some cases, the reason for laziness is due to lack of motivation. You can strengthen your motivation through affirmations, visualization and thinking about the importance of performing your task or chore or achieving your goal.
Doing one thing at a time:
Focus on doing one thing at a time. If you feel you have a lot to do, you will probably feel overwhelmed and let laziness overcome you, instead of you overcoming laziness.

PROBLEM OF DOWRY SYSTEM

Dowry system is followed in India since a very long time. Our ancestors started this system for valid reasons but now it is leading to issues and problems in society. Dowry system started even before the British period. In those days, society does not use to consider dowry as a “Money” or “Fee” you have to pay to be brides parents. The idea behind the dowry system was, to make sure the bride will be financially stable after getting married. The intentions were very clear. Brides parents used to give money, land, assets to the bride as a “Gift” to make sure their daughter will be happy and independent after marriage.

But when British rule came into the picture, they restricted women to own any property. Women were not allowed to buy any property, land or assets. Hence, men started owning all the “Gifts” given to the bride by her parents. This rule changed pure dowry system into a evil! Now parents of the bride were looking at their bride as a source of income. Parents started hating their daughters and wanted only sons. They started demanding money as a dowry. Women were suppressed since they did not have equal rights as men. Grooms parents follow this rule to their advantage.
The new dowry system is creating problems in society. Poor parents do not get any groom who will marry their daughter without taking dowry. They have to take “Marriage Loans” to get their daughter married.Dowry is becoming a nightmare for Women. The cases of infanticide are increasing. Poor parents do not have any other option. They cannot afford to have a girl child, and hence they are intentionally killing infant girl. More than 8000 women are killed because of Dowry! It is very clear that Dowry is creating violence. Groom’s parents are misusing this pure tradition. And they are not aware that they are misusing it, because they are not educated about the traditional dowry system. Everyone is just following the new dowry system blindly.
Dowry is complete injustice with women and does not give women equal status in society. Because of dowry men will always be superior to women. This is creating a mess and negative environment in society.Under the Dowry Prohibition Act, taking or giving dowry is a crime and illegal. If you see someone taking or giving dowry then you can lodge a complaint against them.
Dowry system is good unless and until it is considered as a gift given to the bride by her parents. If the groom’s parents are demanding money to get married as a “Dowry” then that is completely wrong and illegal. The dowry system is a deep-rooted problem and has affected young women mentally, emotionally, and physically. The demand for money or any assets makes the young woman a liability to her parents.
Dowry system can be stopped by the following reasons:
Educate your daughters.
Encourage them to have their own career.
Teach them to be independent and responsible.
Treat them (your daughter) equally without any discrimination.
Do not encourage the practice of giving or taking dowry.

SAVE WATER

Water is the single most important resource on the planet that we live on, and that is why it is essential that we conserve it. Water is the basic necessity for all living beings, and it is incredibly important to conserve it. It is not only important for living and breathing things, but also for many inanimate objects that humans create. Water constitutes more than 70 percent of the Earth’s surface, and yet we do not have enough water for our needs. It is essential to conserve and save water for ourselves and the entire planet Earth. There is water in the oceans, rivers, seas, ponds, lakes. If the water on our planet ever runs out, it would be very bad for humans, plants as well as animals. All living beings are dependent on water – plants need water to grow, animals and humans need to drink water to survive, aquatic animals live in water, so they will die if there is none. Thus, if the water on the planet gets over, there will be no future for any of us.This is the reason why we need to save water. We can save water in many ways, including by taking shorter showers or using a bucket to have a bath instead of a shower, making sure to close the tap properly after using it.
It is important to save water because all living beings need water to survive, including animals, plants, and humans, and without water, there will be no future.few things you can do in your daily life to save water, such as:
Always finish the water in your glass
Don’t leave the tap running while washing your hands, brushing your teeth, etc.
Make sure that the tap is not dripping after you finish using it
Take shorter showers, or use buckets to have a bath instead

Save water theme with earth and faucet illustration

Turn off the taps:Don’t let your water consumption run out of control. Save 6 litres of water a minute by turning off your tap while you brush your teeth.
Catch rainwater:Installing water butts saves up to 5,000 litres of water a year . And your plants will thank you for rainwater rather than treated tap water. You can also cut water use by 33% by watering plants manually instead of using automatic sprinklers.
As our population rapidly increases; water scarcity only grows into a more serious problem for farming communities and people in cities. And with global warming and climate change, water scarcity further evolves into a bigger problem. Today, water security is very much at risk and it is fundamental to manage it in harmony with local ecosystems and communities
.Rainwater harvesting (RWH) is the collection and storage of rain, rather than allowing it to run off. Rainwater is collected from a roof-like surface and redirected to a tank, cistern, deep pit like well, aquifer, or a reservoir with percolation, so that it seeps down and restores the ground water. The importance of rainwater harvesting lies in the fact that it can be stored for future use. Just as it can be used directly so also the stored water can be utilized to revitalize the ground level water and improve its quality. This also helps to raise the level of ground water which then can be easily accessible.

POLLUTION

Pollution is the process in which undesirable toxic contaminants contaminate our environment like air, water, soil, etc. It is creating sudden changes in the ecosystem, which is directly on indirectly leaving adverse effects on the lives of human beings, animals, and plants. It creates an imbalance in the natural system. Many things which are making our lives easy are harmful to the environment.Every living being on Earth depends on air and water. When these two things get polluted, all the lives on Earth come at a risk. It is the pollution that is indirectly affecting the change in the weather. This global issue needs immediate action. Otherwise, it will be challenging to lead a healthy lifestyle.

Types of Pollution:
Air Pollution: It is sometimes visible like we can see polluted air left by the vehicles on the road because of its different colour. In most cases, it is not visible. Polluted air mainly affects the eyes and lungs of human beings as well as animals. It can even kill a living creature within a few minutes. We know about many incidents where harmful gas leakage has killed people. Even natural disasters can make the air toxic. Vehicles and factories produce harmful gases that, in reaction to sunlight, creates thick fog. It can destroy water life, forests, etc.
Water Pollution: Drinking polluted water can cause serious health issues. A lot of people die worldwide by consuming contaminated water. It can also indirectly affect humans and animals. Like if we eat a fish from a polluted river or sea, we also absorb the potential pollutants. Natural gas and oil can also contribute to the pollution of water. Liquid wastes from factories also pollute the water. Solid wastes disturb the drainage system. Sewages, agricultural waste, acid rain are essential causes of water pollution.
Soil Pollution: Solid wastes from factories and households pollute the land. Harmful chemicals mix in the soil through the pesticides used in agriculture. Pollutants from landfills mix in the ground and pollute it. When we eat plants that have grown in the polluted land, we indirectly consume contaminants harmful to our health.
Noise Pollution: When the sound becomes intolerant and reason of disturbance, it is noise pollution. The sounds of vehicles, mike, loud music, or machinery cause noise pollution. It causes serious health issues like migraine, depression, hypertension, aggressive behavior, etc. to humans. It also directly affects the health of animals. It sometimes becomes the reason for their death.
Due to this many people and animals are losing their lives or experiencing severe health issues due to the increased level of pollution. Both natural and human activities cause pollution. Though we can’t control natural activities, we can control our actions that cause pollution.
We can reduce pollution by- Reduce the number of trips you take in your car.
Reduce or eliminate fireplace and wood stove use.
Avoid burning leaves, trash, and other materials.
Avoid using gas-powered lawn and garden equipment.
Using public transports.
Turn off the lights when not in use.
Recycle and Reuse.
No to plastic bags.
Reduction of forest fires and smoking.
Use of fans instead of Air Conditioner.
Use filters for chimneys.
Avoid usage of crackers.

GLOBAL WARMING

Global Warming is defined as the rise in temperature of the earth’s atmosphere due to the excess release of greenhouse gas in the environment. These greenhouse gases generally include gases like Carbon dioxide, Carbon monoxide. The human population is growing we are capturing more land by cutting trees. As the number of trees decreases they inhale less Carbon dioxide. The main reasons of global warming are industrialization, globalisation, deforestation and excessive use fuels which leads to Carbon Emissions.Global warming occurs when carbon dioxide (CO2) and other air pollutants collect in the atmosphere and absorb sunlight and solar radiation that have bounced off the earth’s surface. Normally this radiation would escape into space, but these pollutants, which can last for years to centuries in the atmosphere, trap the heat and cause the planet to get hotter.
Disappearing glaciers, early snowmelt, and severe droughts will cause more dramatic water shortages and continue to increase the risk of wildfires in the American West.
Forests, farms, and cities will face troublesome new pests, heat waves, heavy downpours, and increased flooding. All of these can damage or destroy agriculture and fisheries.
Allergies, asthma, and infectious disease outbreaks will become more common due to increased growth of pollen-producing ragweed, higher levels of air pollution, and the spread of conditions favorable to pathogens and mosquitoes. There are several causes of global warming, which have a negative effect on humans, plants and animals. These causes may be natural or might be the outcome of human activities. In order to curb the issues, it is very important to understand the negative impacts of global warming.

Man-made Causes of Global Warming:
Deforestation:
Plants are the main source of oxygen. They take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen thereby maintaining environmental balance. Forests are being depleted for many domestic and commercial purposes. This has led to an environmental imbalance, thereby giving rise to global warming.
Use of Vehicles:
The use of vehicles, even for a very short distance results in various gaseous emissions. Vehicles burn fossil fuels which emit a large amount of carbon dioxide and other toxins into the atmosphere resulting in a temperature increase.
Chlorofluorocarbon:
With the excessive use of air conditioners and refrigerators, humans have been adding CFCs into the environment which affects the atmospheric ozone layer. The ozone layer protects the earth surface from the harmful ultraviolet rays emitted by the sun. The CFCs has led to ozone layer depletion making way for the ultraviolet rays, thereby increasing the temperature of the earth.

Natural Causes of Global Warming:
Volcanoes:
Volcanoes are one of the largest natural contributors to global warming. The ash and smoke emitted during volcanic eruptions goes out into the atmosphere and affects the climate.
Water Vapour:
Water vapour is a kind of greenhouse gas. Due to the increase in the earth’s temperature more water gets evaporated from the water bodies and stays in the atmosphere adding to global warming.

How Can We Stop Global Warming?
Recycle more. The aim is to cut down the amount of carbon dioxide released in the environment.
Drive less.
Plant trees.
Switch to renewable energy.
Use energy-efficient devices. Use less hot water.
Turn off electronic devices.
Spread awareness.

MENTAL HEALTH

Mental health is a state of well-being in which an individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community.Mental health refers to cognitive, behavioral, and emotional well-being. It is all about how people think, feel, and behave. People sometimes use the term “mental health” to mean the absence of a mental disorder.
Mental health can affect daily living, relationships, and physical health.Conditions such as stress, depression, and anxiety can all affect mental health and disrupt a person’s routine.Although the term mental health is in common use, many conditions that doctors recognize as psychological disorders have physical roots.
The WHO stress that mental health is “more than just the absence of mental disorders or disabilities.” Peak mental health is about not only avoiding active conditions but also looking after ongoing wellness and happiness.Social and financial circumstances, biological factors, and lifestyle choices can all shape a person’s mental health.
A large proportion of people with a mental health disorder have more than one condition at a time.It is important to note that good mental health depends on a delicate balance of factors and that several elements of life and the world at large can work together to contribute to disorders.A mental illness is a mental health condition that gets in the way of thinking, relating to others, and day-to-day function.
Mental and physical health are equally important components of overall health. Mental illness, especially depression, increases the risk for many types of physical health problems, particularly long-lasting conditions like stroke, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.

IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA

Social media is a powerful revolution that has changed our lives all round,it has changed the way that we socialise, conduct our businesses, engage in political affairs, build professions and set job recruitments. With the use of platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, how people socialise has been greatly revolutionised. It has made it easy to connect to our family members, friends and relatives on a real-time basis. With social media, people can share pictures and videos and communicate with their close ones. This has strengthened relationships and it is bringing families together in a way that was not possible in the past.Families, friends, relatives and businesses have the opportunity to share skills and improve on different proficiencies. Additionally, people get to make and meet new friends. The impact of social media on our society has attracted a massive number of users with an estimate of 3.5 billion users worldwide.

Businesses have greatly been impacted by social media — from marketing to interacting with customers on a timely basis. A business that has embraced the use of social has a definite edge over its competitors. The online platforms are a less expensive way for businesses to advertise their offerings on a real-time basis and to attract more customers. It has made it easy for businesses to reach out to a wider customer base and improve customer loyalty through different programmes.Social media has impacted job recruitments significantly. The majority of companies make their hiring decisions based on one’s social portfolio. Recruiters also use online networks to post job vacancies through which they get their ideal candidates. Many professions and skills have been built and learned through social media. There is a massive increase in online learning where one can easily learn a skill and build a strong profession around it. The existence of social media has led to an increase in the number of people undertaking distance learning, as well as academic offerings such as writing services.

The negative impacts of social media:
There are some negative impacts caused by social media. Despite it being a platform through which we socialise, run our business and understand political affairs, here are some negative results .Through sharing personal information, one’s privacy is at risk of impersonations, theft and stalking — among other vices. Nowadays, companies use social media to gauge job seekers. Posting anything abusive or embarrassing could make you lose that job opportunities, because ‘the internet never forgets’.
Online social platforms are addictive and this has drastically reduced productivity at workplaces. This impacts negatively on companies as they incur losses.
Cyberbullying is another worrying impact of social media. Results of cyberbullying have seen victims falling into depression and, in more radical cases, has cost them their lives.
Since information travels faster online, a piece of false information could quickly reach a big number of people and cause great panic among the recipients. In some instances, it has made some people especially the introverts to rely too much on the virtual world as opposed to the real world.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S

F.R.I.E.N.D.S is the popular sitcom tv show. Many people enjoyed and loved the series. 236 episodes from September 1994 to May 2004. The show was telecasted worldwide. Many loved the show even I loved the series. It won six Emmy Awards, including outstanding comedy series. Friends was created by David Crane and Marta Kauffman and is about a group of six young adults who are either roommates or neighbours in New York City’s Greenwich Village. There are three men and three women are the main cast- Chandler, Ross, Joey, Monica, Rachel and Phoebe.Central Perk, a cafe and popular meeting spot for the group. Monica Geller (played by Courteney Cox) is a chef who often changes jobs and boyfriends in her search for the perfect match. Her brother, Ross (David Schwimmer), is a paleontologist and divorcé (three times over by the end of the series) with a child. He has a long-standing crush on Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston), a fashion-minded woman who grew up in a wealthy family but works (for a time) as a barista at Central Perk.Phoebe Buffay (Lisa Kudrow) is a ditsy masseuse and would-be musician with a quirky outlook on life. Joey Tribbiani (Matt LeBlanc) is a mostly struggling actor and buffoon who often confides in Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry), a well-off statistics and data analyst who has terrible luck with women and in time develops an eye for Monica. Phoebe is known for her smelly cat song. The finale of Friends was watched by more than 52 million people. The Friends theme song, “I’ll Be There for You,” is the most famous song.

This year 2021 after 17years the cast returned to the reunion. My personal favorite character is Chandler because I love his sarcastic character and his dance. My favorite episode will be “The one with the proposal”where Chandler proposes Monica. When I see friends series I feel I’m one among them and I can relate myself somewhat to Phoebe’s character. I thank my sister who asked me to watch this series. I love this series very much and their friendship and funny moments are awesome. On May 13, 2021, a teaser trailer was released officially announcing Friends: The Reunion also known as “The One Where They Get Back Together”. The reunion special was released on HBO Max on May 27, 2021. When I watched the reunion I was mixed with emotions. I missed them soo much. The series finale closes several long-running storylines. Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) confesses his love for Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston), and they decide to resume their relationship; and Monica Geller (Courteney Cox) and Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry) adopt twins and move to the suburbs. Many unexpected twists and turns happens and atlast it was a happy ending. I thoroughly enjoyed the series from the start to the end. In the reunion the main cast revisit the sets of the original show (such as the Friends apartments, the Central Perk coffee shop, and the Friends water fountain), meet with guests who appeared on the show as well as celebrity guests, do table reads and re-enactments of older Friends episodes, and share behind-the-scenes footage. Everyone was happy and they shared their experience.

POVERTY

Two-thirds of people in India live in poverty. This makes the Indian subcontinent one of the poorest countries in the world. Women and children are the weakest members of Indian society and they suffer most.India is the second most in population country after China with about 1.2 billion people and is the seventh largest country in the world. More than 800 million people in India are considered poor. Most of them live in the countryside. The lack of employment which provides a livable wage in rural areas is driving many Indians into rapidly growing metropolitan areas such as Bombay, Delhi, Bangalore or Calcutta. They don’t have any food to eat, water to drink and even no electricity. The poor hygiene conditions are the cause of diseases such as cholera, typhus and dysentery, in which especially children suffer and die.

Poverty in India impacts children, families and individuals in a variety of different ways through:High infant mortality,Malnutrition,Child labour,Lack of education,Child marriage.India is one of the world’s top countries when it comes to malnutrition: More than 200 million people don’t have sufficient access to food, including 61 million children. 7.8 million infants were found to have a birth weight of less than 2.5 kilograms.Although child labour for children under the age of 14 in India is prohibited by law, according to official figures, 12.5 million children between the ages of 5 and 14 are working. Aid agencies assume that in reality, there are many more estimating that 65 million children between 6 and 14 years do not go to school. Instead, in order to secure survival, it is believed that Indian children contribute to the livelihood of their families; they work in the field, in factories, in quarries, in private households and in prostitution. Many children are not educated and they go to work because of their poverty. Many children beg in road side and they get something to eat from the money. Now in this situation, due to corona many middle class family lost their job and many poor people are not able to find food for their hunger. People should treat them well and help them with what they can give. They can provide them with food and water in this pandemic situation. All should come forward to help them. If we can’t help them they will suffer badly. Our government has also taken measures for providing them food so we can also donate some money to them or we can also buy some food and give to poor people near your house. They will be so happy. We should come forward and take steps and make them happy. When we do this our country’s poverty will reduce and we should stop child labour and those who can help them with their studies should come forward. We can’t expect everything should be done by the government if we can we should do it. When we do some good things many will see us and they will also do. We should keep poverty away but not a poor!

TIME MANAGEMENT

Time is the most valuable and precious thing in everyone’s life.People are so busy in their lives that they are not getting time for themselves. One should manage time limit so that he/she can do their works perfectly and on time. Time management is nothing but to split time for our activities so that we can know how much time we need to complete one particular work. We should not postpone things unnecessarily. We should complete the work in time so that we can do the other works correctly. In our daily life, we have got only twenty-four hours in a day. Therefore we cannot do everything in one day. This creates limitations in our everyday work. In order to manage work, social life and sleep, division of time is important. It will be easy when you write your tasks in a note so that you will not forget anything. When you decide the time you should give enough time for the completion of the work. You should have enough time to sleep and spend some time with your family and friends so that you will feel relaxed. Many people will always run after their work and forget about themselves, family and friends. For students those who are studying should also manage their time. They should not spend their entire time in playing and writing homework. They should manage time for writing homework, playing and studying. While writing exams many don’t get enough time to write because they don’t manage their time. Manage time and write so that we can complete our work on time.

Time does not stop for anyone, every minute is precious. We should use it wisely we don’t get the time we wasted in the past.A person should eliminate unnecessary activities from their daily schedule. Make a time table on paper. In which you should write your daily activities. This will create discipline in your life. Moreover, you should complete the task daily. Students can avoid their stress and get time only if they can manage their time.Time Management plays a very important role not only in organizations but also in our personal lives.Time Management includes:Effective Planning,Setting goals and objectives,Setting deadlines,Delegation of responsibilities,Prioritizing activities as per their importance,Spending the right time on the right activity.
