Record Breakers boys

There was a period when, Korean dramas, music, or culture were unfamiliar to the world. They were unknown and were not celebrated like western culture. But time changed and today the “effect of Hallyu wave” could be seen far and wide. People belonging to diverse linguistic backgrounds, ethnicity, and beliefs are acknowledging and shouldering K-pop dramas, music and etc. with a friendly sentiment.

It’s quite good to express the popularity of BTS has reached the door of billboard, and the K-pop band is conquering over the world. They were revealed in 2013 and have subsequently zoomed to universal screen idol. Starting with the ‘School’ trilogy, the group has shaped the melody revolving around countless subjects. On 18th September 2017 their album “Luv Yourself” broke all existing records and mounted to the top of the US charts, placing topmost boy bands like Jonas Brothers and one-direction behind. They were also disapproved many times but not once they lose confidence and remain stick to their ambitions.

How they become so famous? If you have seen their live video, you will clearly get the picture. BTS is identified for its exceptional fashioning, as well as its imaginative and unbelievably dazzling songs.  They basically produce the melodies which motivate people to think, they embrace the themes that other groups have never directed on like harassment, selectivity, and psychological well-being. I am a great admirer of their presentations, it’s an innovative fine art which we seldom see these days. They are mind-boggling in serving the message. Countless articles have uncovered, to buff up BTS rehearse for long hours every day. Not to overlook, Social media has also lent a hand in making them connected with their supporters genuinely and pull fans together on the same road. We all understand, there existed a huge figure of followers after the achievement of megastars and it is likewise boon for BTS. They consider they are winning only because of “ARMY”- a name given to their admirers. ARMY love for BTS is nonpareil, it is tough to believe they bred 300 million votes for the group to succeed Billboard Award!

“I have come to love myself for who I am, for who I was and for who I hope to become”, is the well-known message conveyed by the leader of the Group Mr. Namjoon (Rap Monster) in United Nation Assembly held in New York City, in 2018.

“I’ve made many and plenty of mistakes in my life,” he said.

“I have many faults and I have many more fears, but I’m going to embrace myself as hard as I can. And I’m starting to love myself gradually just little by little.”

BTS boys are continuing to grow. They land their fourth No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 chart with the biggest week of 2020 for any release. They have blown the mind of all. Their success has crossed all the limits and millions of people around the world have been hit by BTS syndrome.

BTS Musical Expansionism

BTS (방탄소년단) The boy band crystallize their position as an international luminary of the music world. Hailing from South Korea and triumphing over the heart of millions of fans worldwide, fitting to dissimilar traditions and dialect conveyed reaction from everyone to them. Their inimitable competence and adeptness are a mammoth for voluminous admirers. We all are cognizant, how our music business work conscientiously grounded over a theory of adoration, grief, and miseries but then again, a freshly premeditated model of storytelling by K-POP star BTS, centered around communal thinking like rich vs poor, self-love or psychological fitness, etc.  dish up a neoteric genre of music on the platter.

Speaking with no holds barred, becoming the world’s biggest boy-band is a tough row to hoe for a commoner, it’s not as easy as a pie. Only a decade back, none ever prophesied that the English-speaking citizenries will endlessly appreciate the music of diverse lingo. It was furthermore implausible that the world once idolizing – “one direction” or “Jonas brothers” will step on the road to the Korean tongue miraculously.

After 2013, of their first promotion, it’s an underestimation to still call BTS a boy band. They are all-pervading. Whatever formed BTS exceptional and one-off, from the aforementioned greatest boy bands amongst the humankind, is also what award BTS to spread to a prodigious variety of fanatics than their forerunners. Coming to their admirers, they announced themselves an “ARMY”. The ARMY enthusiasts are genuinely and enormously a universal flock, with millions of devotees enrolled from corner to corner in Asia, the Middle East, and Africa. Remarkably, the World Tour charmed a massive figure of middle-aged fans in millions. At the BTS concert, it is not surprising at all for the last few years to come across a three age-band of ARMY being present.

Not long ago, an Indian BTS Fan crafted and uploaded the attention-grabbing frolic moves of BTS by altering their videos to a Bollywood song- chunnari chunnari. The video uploaded on YouTube was channel acknowledged by many and received numerous optimistic remarks and likes from supporters globally. The song voiced by Abhijeet Bhattacharya and Anuradha Sriram again reaped the publicity in newfangled glory underneath BTS charisma.

This 7-member boy band coming from South Korean culture has numerous times exceeded chronicle sales of their music in the western culture of United States of America. Astoundingly, they become the foremost Korean band to made it to the U.S. Billboard Charts more than a few times. They also achieved the U.S. Billboard Music Awards three times placing many singers in arrears and is addressed as the 2018-19 most powerful and valuable Korean celebrities by Forbes.

Is HE back?

Last night, I was watching this Korean Drama and I denied to pause till I completed the whole 16 episodes. I appreciated the storyline, it’s remarkable which I seldom encounter in Korean movies or drama. Covering the parallel universe is an icing on the cake and the joyful windup proffer contentment to the watchers. The show is marvelous and the excitement rousing in the pit of my stomach, of finding what will happen in the next episode is unbelievable.
Excellent acting of all the characters binds you emotionally with them. They are WOW! Centered on a monarchy theme, starring Lee Min Ho and Kim Ho Eun as the main character, the drama was released in April 2020 and continued till June 2020. Netflix also counted it in the list of “Hit Netflix Drama” heedless of all the condemnation the show met on domestic land (South Korea). Anyhow, the k-drama gained popularity in other parts of Asian countries comprising India.
Talking about my favorite dialogues from the show are numerous but I adored – “You are my Unbreakable Sword”.

Lugging with Goodluck of the BTS Band logo, Samsung presented S20 + BTS edition smartphone in July 2020. Embraced in beautiful features and coated in purple, Samsung touched the heart of millions of BTS fans (ARMY). “I purple you” was the colloquial speech for the first time introduced by V (Kim Taehyung) to his followers. Since then purple became the traditional color of BTS. It is simply appealing to many.
After the launch of this new edition, it turns into the most retweeted and extremely loved post of Samsung on Twitter in the entire history. This is not new; it forever crops up when there is BTS. On every single social media, ARMY started posting the news and it became viral in an hour, so there is no surprise in bowing to the statistic that a massive figure of Fans reserved the edition on first hand.

Viral story of MENTOS + COKE

How Mentos and Coke go viral? It was in 2006 when a youtube video was uploaded by two students. One was Fritz Grobe and another was Stephen V. both were science students. In 2006, they experimented with Mentos and coke. There were no private companies or no brand management was involved, they were simply experimenting and they uploaded it on their YouTube channel. The experiment involved, taking some Mentos and dropping it into 101 Diet Coke bottles, resulting in mini-explosion from which they created a great Ad.

The video, at last, got viral and it resulted in winning the Webby award for the best viral video and it was also nominated for Emmy Award.

Brand Leadership

Unilever the largest company in the world has its stock prices always mounted high, they are also globally recognized for their innovative power and brand building. In 1947, Unilever entered the Malaysian Market. They were already famous for their effective and efficient manufacturing capacity. What was the reason behind Unilever’s growth in Foreign land? In every article, I found Unilever focuses on Portfolio analysis and they did a thorough study of the depth and breadth of their brand. Conducting intensive research in and out, studying the target audience, keeping themselves updated with the pace of transformation, focus on brand portfolio and PESTLE analysis is what made Unilever a mate of every household in Malaysia.
We all know, Malaysia is a Muslim country. Meeting the local cultural need of the target audience is not an easy task for companies. But Unilever successfully crossed all the barriers and introduced a new brand- Wall’s Ice-cream. The product was Halal certified fulfilling the demand of locals. In a short span, the success of the brand was counted remarkable.

The wisdom of crowdsourcing

Nestle’s Maggi is one of the most loved food brands in India. Maggi has to turn into the beloved and utmost enjoyed food of all ages. Perceiving the enthusiasm, Nestle in 2011 presented the “Guess the Taste” scheme. They requested supporters to estimate the taste of new, unidentified taste of veggie noodles and name the noodles for the company in India. Theses mystery-flavored noodles are being vended across India in package striking with a unique question mark. In the process, Nestle received more than 45000 consumers entries with their recommended names for the taste. “Guess the taste” scheme follows other fruitful endeavors by Nestle’s Maggi brand to identify and advance its long and prosperous relationship with consumers in India.
This example summaries the usage of crowdsourcing for market concepts and resolutions, comprising a name for a freshly improved taste. When industries crowdsource, they request the community for opinions, knowledge, and views to aid them to produce improved products and services. By crowdsourcing, businesses can tap into a vast group of people’s knowledge and expertise, guaranteeing a variety of concepts, advanced creation, and cost-cutting, from the time when they don’t require to hire new, in-house employees. Companies who crowdsource generally decode gigantic missions into individual errands, which permits them to assign hundreds of thousands of people small jobs that they can work on by themselves. In publicizing, companies use crowdsourcing to create marketing materials such as a logo, jingle, or ad. Furthermore, crowdsourced marketing campaigns frequently include the customers submitting and voting on materials.
When the UK labor party developed its first Advertisement for the general election campaign in April 2010, they used the talents of their supporters to design the advertisement. The party’s advertising agency, Saatchi invited supporters to respond to an online brief to design their first election billboard poster and received around 1000 responses.

What is Public Relation?

According to Frank Jeffkins- Public Relation Is a planned, deliberate, and sustained effort, to build and promote mutual understanding between an organization and its public to bridge the communication gap.

The basic purpose of Public Relation is more or less the same in every sector. It is an art and science of developing reciprocal understanding and goodwill. Effective public relations can win people to a certain cause or a program. It can also motivate people to buy a certain product or service. It can encourage investment from the public. Therefore, the need for public relations is obvious.

There is a success if some ground rules are followed. Therefore, some essential for good Public Relations are-

  1. PR man should have a thorough knowledge of an organization
  2. Well versed in PR techniques
  3. Alert to the public mood and new trends
  4. Creative and knowledgeable
  5. Broad public relations experience is extremely necessary for success.

Public Relations includes a host of things- press relations, advertising, publication, audio-visual and outdoor media, community relations, organization of conferences and seminars, hospitability and entertainment, financial relations, relations with the government, internal communications, etc. More important than all these activities is the projection of the image of the organization in different media-press, radio, and TV.

It is both art and science, has the beauty of art and technique of science. The substance of public relations is to develop understanding among different constituents that deal with the organization. The PR dealings should stress on accuracy, integrity, performance and providing of newsy, timely information, and other material. In any case, the PR man should avoid begging or trying to get pressure publicity through news columns and newscasts by using pressure publicity through news columns and newscasts by using advertising as a weapon. The PR man has to keep all these aspects in mind.

The story of “Burkini”

Going global is the biggest challenge for brands. Various countries across the globe are at various stages of development. The needs and wants of people across the countries might be the same but the brand preferences vary a lot. The factors which every brand manager must look into before moving in the global market are- economic, political, social, and cultural. In business terms, you need to work on PESTLE analysis.
The brand story of Burkini –

In the year 2003, Ahada Zanetti founder of AHIDA Private limited and designer of the Burkini Brand introduced the first product of swimwear for Islamic women. She was inspired by watching her niece facing difficulty in playing netball in a traditional Hizaab. She went on a search to find anything which matched the demands for comfort and flexibility with the requirement of modesty. After doing a thorough research and focusing on the Islamic code of conduct, she designed and produced the first sample of AHIDA BURKINI- Swimwear and sportswear brand. It was accepted by the Islamic community and was given official permission for production.
The dress became so successful among the young Islamic Girls, that immediately it gains a huge demand. Earlier, women wear uncomfortable wearing a short dress and were also not allowed to fulfill their dreams of becoming a sportswoman.
Understanding culture is most important for brand success. The culture of a country influences the consumption patterns of the people there. This can vary also within the country, which is especially true for a huge country like India with rich cultural diversity. Brands need to adapt or come out with completely consumer-friendly products.

Tattooing tradition among BAIGAS

The Baigas tribes are counted among Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups. They primarily belong from Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Odisha, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttar Pradesh. Customarily, the Baiga people lived a semi-nomadic life and followed slash and burn cultivation. Nowadays, they are principally reliant on forest produce for their living. The tribe practice shifting cultivation. They also believe to never plow the earth because it would be akin to scratching the breast of their mother earth. “Mother Earth would have become weakened if they ask their mother to produce food from the same patch of earth time and time again”. They also saw themselves as people of the forest, who could only live on the produce of the forest. It was below the dignity for them to become a laborer.

Baiga is one of the tribes for whom tattooing is an essential part of their existence. This tribe inhabits the dense hilly forests in the eastern part of the Satpuras, in Shahdol, Bilaspur, Rajandgaon, Mandla and Balaghat districts. The Baigas are of Dravidian stock and are one of eight prime tribes of Madhya Pradesh. It is believed that this tribe is an offshoot of the Bhuiya tribe of Chhota Nagpur. A distinguishing feature of the Baiga tribe is that their women are famous for crafting tattoos of countless varieties on practically all portions of their bodies. The women who work as tattooing artistes belong to Qjha. They are tremendously experienced about the diverse kinds of tattoos fancied by several tribes. Their mother customarily passes on this wisdom to them. Tattooing among the family begins with the approach of winter and resumes until summer.

The obsession for Internet games

Internet games are good for fun but they can highly be addictive

I was talking to a mother of two children, Rina and she said – she always keeps monitoring how much time her children spent on videogames. Many times, she has to urge them to stop playing. The lockdown period has also increased the hours they spent playing online games.

This is not new. There are countless parents like Rina, who keep checking their children and impelling them to plug up. It is a huge challenge for them. Many reports say the upsurge in Internet gaming disorder (IGD) among children in the lockdown period. It states the endless usage of on-line and off-line video games by youngsters. With the emergence of high-tech devices like computers, tablets, and smartphones, playing online or offline games has developed into a widespread pastime, exclusively amongst adolescents. Folks frequently play video games for leisure, distraction, enthusiasm, challenge seeking, depression, and runoff from actuality to be per their unfulfilled desires or impulses.

Even though a selection of reviews has confirmed profitable outcomes of playing video games on the emotional state of players. It helps in getting mental ability stronger, increases problem-solving attitude but it also has numerous harmful effects on both physical and mental strength. It has been put forward that extreme video gaming could be dangerous. It is connected with insomnia, lack of concentration, poor academic performance, anxiety, depressive symptoms, deterioration of interpersonal relationships, family conflicts, youth violence or crimes, lower self-esteem, and no self-satisfaction.

The possibility of gaming addiction was expressively greater among boys, those with poor educational accomplishment, and those who favored multiplayer online games. Gaming obsession was pointedly connected with the average time spent gaming per week, frequency of spending money on gaming, the period of spending money on gaming, perceived family disharmony, and having more close friends. These outcomes propose that successful learning and precautionary curriculums or approaches are required.

PlayerUnknowns Battleground

We can’t negate the reality of PUBG being a sensation or a phenomenon in the history of games. Based on the Data analysis firm Sensor Tower, the report says in May 2020 that PUBG became the highest revenue grossing mobile game worldwide. This new graphic is a monetary advantage for the company’s progress but what about the “player’s grown addiction”. After its release in 2017, irrefutably it became the supreme (king) of all popular games in the world. Today we are in 2020, two years are gone still the goosebumps which it creates in the gaming market is astonishing. The game isn’t confirming any premonitions of dropping its player base in the coming year, and PUBG obsession is mounting high.

There are numerous cases that come across our minds when we think of the addiction carried by PUBG. Recently, in news, there was a 15-year-old boy who stole $700 from his father’s account for unlocking the “loot boxes”. This is not new, there is much news flooded with suicide, thieve and etc. World Health Organization (WHO) had many times reflected their views over these accidents. They have correspondingly established undeniable conditions as cautionary signals for custodians and parents.

Impaired control- When the player has become so obsessed that he/she is unable to control his/her cravings of playing. Unable to limit their gameplay.

Loss of interest- Player showing disinterest in doing other things and his/her mind is always getting diverted. It generates a lack of concentration in other activities.

Continuing to play despite negative impact- Gaming is instigating noteworthy destruction to their school results, employment activities, or any relationships.

What do you think of banning and restriction? Do you think restricting players after 6 hours of usage will put a stoppage to their obsession? Seeing the rising cases, Company took a necessary step and made a move to safeguard players. The game has begun to apparently lock the players who play the game for too long. The modification, primarily noticed by a few users on Twitter discloses that the game now displays a ‘health reminder’ that locks users out of the game after a certain hour played on the app. The move is good but it’s not still applied to every user.

Another news of suicide during Lockdown came in which a wife hanged herself to death because her husband continued to play PUBG regularly for ten hours and started neglecting her and their daughter. She also blamed him for turning aggressive and violent entirely. Many scholars believe PUBG has the ability to produce “Problematic Mental Disorder” in the users. “It’s a user in a shrinking battlefield”.

Is Branding a recent phenomenon?

Let’s get to our journey by knowing – what is brand? The notion behind brand and branding? What purpose does it accomplish?

Branding is the utmost central task for marketers and corporations, as it’s vital for continued existence. Corporates term brand as a “lens through which the consumer assesses their products and an image of a firm”. Brand associations epitomize the attribute of goods and services in the cognizance of customers. Numerous analyses confirm that brands are not anew created model. It’s historic.

If truth be told, branding has survived for ages and can be sketched to the time of Harrapan civilization. We all know language was developed for two things during that days- First, for religious communication and second, for business trade and practices (Barter system). In the trade and practices, people use to keep record by sketching symbols or signs or any icons. Many historians named it “an early brand”. They are also called “Proto-Brand”.

In 2000 BC, Indus valley civilization was rising. They used seals and it was used as brand to differentiate the culture. The seals were used in trading by merchants. The seals were attached with goods before dispatching. The Greek market revolution round the 6th century BCE, has led an entrepreneurial culture. There the pottery industries give a visual of artistic designs and branding, which potters used in arts. It gives an image of value and power of Greece culture. What is brand? Brand is a name, sign, symbols, picture, etc. which helps in identifying the goods and services provided by different sellers. Any product become a brand when some dimensions are added to it to differentiate the product in some way from other similar products. The dimensions can be rational, functional, tangible, emotional, symbolic or, intangible. Anything can become a brand – A service (Life Insurance Corporation), A product (Samsung, Dell, Apple), A store (Big Bazaar, Shoppers stop). Brand has an attribute which help in maintaining- high quality level, associated feelings, is worth the price it commands, evoke the feeling of confidence and pride amongst the users.

“The story of 2-min”

The story of two minutes is based on Maggi. It was for the first time launched by Nestle India in the year 1982.  Nestle is a well know brand hailing from Switzerland. This brand was so successful in India that in lesser days the hot bowl of Maggie replaced many Indian popular snacks. The category of the consumer who made this brand popular belongs to 12-30 age group. They used the famous tagline- Fast to cook, Good to eat Maggi 2 minutes noodles became an important part of groceries list. The masala flavor made its way into the heart of the consumers, and Maggi turned successful in establishing their territory.

The first time it was launched, the company focused on two important criteria- to promote the concept of noodles in India and establish the brand by educating the consumer. They took necessary steps like- distributing free samples in small towns and schools, many campaigns were run at the forefront. With time everybody started craving for this hot bowl and is still a good substitute for budgetary constraints.

In its successful career, Maggi like other brands also faced many competitions for survival. There was also a time in 1999 when the countdown of Maggi’s failure started. When the substitutes like Top Ramen entered the Indian Market, people started having a second choice. To face this issue, Maggie played with many flavors but ultimately realized the importance of Original flavor. So, to heal the wound they again took a U-turn and re-introduced the same original flavors.

The Maggi dispute is still existent in the cognizance of consumers, and it left a momentous impression. In May 2015, food safety regulators from Barabanki, a district of Uttar Pradesh, India testified that trials of Maggi 2 Minute Noodles had surprisingly high levels of monosodium glutamate (MSG), as well as up to 17 times the permissible limit of lead. In all this, they lost more than 80% of market shares. Maggi never considered the time will come when they will be questioned at distance end to end in Mass media widespread. Maggi was banned in India and people was left empty-handed.

After one-two years, Maggi still never left hope and again stood on its feet to rule. But in all of this, many competitors entered the market and it was difficult for Maggie to grow. Consumers connect with the brand emotionally; it is very difficult to make them away from each other. Maggi was not just an integral part of Indian Households but also the necessity of satisfaction. They successfully break many barriers and again entered the Indian market with power. It is still loved by many and is holding the same place in our hearts.

Live your dream or leave your dream- The placement trap

We provide 100% placements- liar

Top companies come for recruitment- liar

Provide Average salary of ten lac- liar

Today, we are going to talk about the tricks which most of the private educational institutions fool around with their “#precious students”. Discuss this with any final year students and they will unpretentiously disclose how they are ensnared in the pawn of placement drives. Throughout the admission process, educational institutes falsified the information, they also photo-shopped the uncut procedure and funded in figures- to exert pull-on students or parents to take admission to their university. Unluckily, afterward, they get caught red-handed but the entire dealings live on consistently every year.

“You are communicated with a voice dripping honesty and flooded with sincerity that- placements are sure-fire, we provide hundred percent placements in the bag but not that everyone is not placed.”

“Placement ratio is poorer than they professed”.

Neeraj Kumar (Fake name) doing MBA, was shoved to undertake the offer letter of the company delivering 2 lac per annul for the reason that regardless of what university sworn “none of the big bulky guys” visited him. He was not the only one, they are in thousands who don’t even get an opportunity to serve.

We are the one who pays you

If we deny, you will fall

Surviving will make you roll and roll

So, keep yourself guided and do not lie

Otherwise, if we take steps, you will cry.

Close your eyes and think about what you have done.

You have played with millions of life-line

Always speak the truth and don’t be in denial.

Universities are made for Career growth

These scams are not new-fanged, they are running for decades. Whose fault is this? Is it us, who do not take the necessary steps against these money suckers? Or, it is none fault? Think.

Who is a consumer? A consumer is permanently termed as an end-user individual, who consumes any product matching to their choice and utilize any services based on their liking. They are identified as an end-user for the reason that he or she is the last stop and does not normally trade the items which they have bought to others. On the other hand, a customer/consumer is not obligatory to be the purchaser, for example, in a household when a mother go to the mall and bring cornflakes for herself and her family, all members of the family is consuming the cornflakes brought by her”. Any individual, who purchases a product or any services, might not be inevitably a user or a consumer.

The question of buyer’s buying behavior is converged on person and the elements or dynamics that influence their choices to expend their capitals on consuming products. The notions and philosophies of purchaser’s behavior are strained upon various branch of learning such as psychology, sociology concepts, anthropology, and economic principles too. Coming to the question attached with Women, retail is the region for women and shopping is an act habitually seen as corresponding to female protagonist. Female go on shopping to buy both necessary and discretionary products, most of them prefer shopping as a stress reliever and they also think it is a best place to socialize. Many researchers believed female to be the most prospective consumers in the world as they deal with more or less 80 percent of the domestic overheads. It is also noted that the concept of traditional woman’s role has endured changes in arrears to the transformation in shopping fore-showed by the growth and expansion of the department store. Women are portrayed as proficient shoppers and the occurrence of their customary roles are meticulously com-modified or redefined in requisites of commodities. Women behave contrarily from men because of biological, neurological, and behavioral dissimilarities between the two. These disparities in turn make an impression on their buying behavior. On the other side, men make themselves aware with abundant knowledge of a product or service through internet, advertising, journals etc. Female endeavor to get advantage from others’ expertise by asking people around them. Women are more link with their hunches and emotional state and have the propensity to live better bonded with their family, groups, networks and even brands. Female set their judgements and precedence not only corresponding to their desires but also bestowing to persons in her personal circumnavigate. Henceforward, it is influential to position a product, brand or a departmental store in a way by keeping few things in mind- how they will help her and other people present in her life. Practically in every single society, women have crucial care-giving household responsibilities for both teenagers and the ageing people and every so often, everyone else in-between. In this crucial care-giving position, women discover themselves buying on behalf of every person part of their lives. What does it mean? If you are involved in a consumer business, it signifies that women are compound markets link up in one. What a beguiling pretext to study the imprint of gender in the sales and marketing process. Every time we supply great service to woman, their comes a multiplier impact on your business since women characterizes a broad range of other prospective customers, and will probably inform people about the significant service you proffer. By and large, men stereo-typically do not have the character of primary shopper for their homes and so they incline to scrutinize shopping in a more different approach. A better knowledge and identifying of “Women buying behavior to online shopping” would indisputably streamline better market penetration in the women subdivision, but there is a scarcity of knowledge in this segment of research.
