How To Grow Your Blog Faster 100% guaranteed

10 Reasons Why Your Blog Isnโ€™t Growing (and How to Fix It)

It takes time and commitment to produce blog content regularly. But if your dream blog isnโ€™t growing in such a dreamy way, you may be understandably frustrated. You may also be scratching your head and wondering why youโ€™re not growing your audience, making money, or getting raves from blog visitors.

If Google Analytics is constantly reminding you how few page views your blog is getting every time you check key blogging-related stats, take comfort in knowing there are ways you can remedy this situation. This advice also applies if you have an existing blog thatโ€™s stalling growth-wise.

Below, youโ€™ll find a list of 10 reasons why your blog may not be growing. Additionally, youโ€™ll discover some suggestions for what to do to fix each of the issues mentioned.

1. Youโ€™re Not Truly Passionate about the Focus of Your Blog

If youโ€™re not fully devoted to the topic of focus of your blog, how can you expect anyone else to be? Even if youโ€™ve only shifted from your preferred topic to one thatโ€™s related but more popular, expect a lack of passion (or interest) to be evident to readers.

The Fix

Having the right mindset is what ultimately makes blog content work. Keeping this in mind, hereโ€™s what you can do to fix this issue: choose a topic youโ€™re devoted to.

Granted, what you prefer to post about may not be THE most popular topic for your industry or niche. However, youโ€™ll see some degree of steady growth if readers can tell youโ€™re personally invested and fully interested in what youโ€™re blogging about.

Email

2. You donโ€™t have an email list

You may be experiencing insufficient blog growth if you donโ€™t yet have an email list. Blogging is only going to be effective if you are actively building relationships with your readers. An email list is one of the most effective ways to accomplish this goal.

The Fix

A simple way to get started with an email list is to ask blog readers to subscribe. These subscriptions will give you the basic information necessary to start an email list.

Subscribers will get notifications when you post something new. You can also segment your list based on what posts subscribers are commenting on and sharing to further target individual interests and encourage engagement with your blog.

3. Inconsistent Quality with Blog Content

Even the best bloggers have moments where they may be crunched for time and tempted to crank out a fairly mundane post or nothing more than a re-do of a previous post. Unfortunately, itโ€™s not enough to quickly ramble through a 200-300 word post and call it a day, even if you have a valid reason for doing so.

The Fix

Before you post something new, reduce the risk of disappointing your readers with a lack of sufficient quality by asking yourself the following questions:

  • Is this post on par with the other ones in terms of how itโ€™s written and presented?
  • Have I delivered on the implied promise suggested by my blogโ€™s purpose or premise?
  • Would I find this post interesting and engaging if I came across it?

On a related note, the optimal content length for blog posts in 2021 is, according to data compiled by HubSpot, between 2,100 and 2,400 words. Even so, the total length of your posts doesnโ€™t matter as much as the quality.

Shorter posts can still work well for times when youโ€™re a bit pressed for time as long as the quality is still kept in mind. Plus, thereโ€™s no point in stretching out a really good 500-word post into a mediocre 1000-word one just for the sake of upping your word count.

4. No Clear Sense of Order or Organization

Your blog may not be growing if it reminds visitors of their messy childhood bedroom. If itโ€™s difficult to find new posts or check out old ones without digging through a bunch of clutter, readers may quickly bail on your blog.

Clicktale reports blogs have an average bounce rate of 70 to 90 percent โ€“ although bounce rates donโ€™t significantly impact a blogโ€™s ranking for SEO purposes. However, itโ€™s still a metric to keep an eye on to determine how visitors are interacting with your blogโ€™s content. If youโ€™re noticing an excessively high bounce rate and your blog has no clear organization, this may be why itโ€™s not growing.

The Fix

Create a sense of order and organization for your blog by:

  • Putting your posts into broad categories
  • Creating sub-categories within each of your main categories
  • Using tags to direct visitors to related blog content
  • Putting your newer content front-and-center
  • Archiving your older posts in a way that allows this content to be easily accessed
  • Using internal links to take readers to related archived posts
  • Periodically sorting through your posts to remove ones no longer relevant or ones youโ€™ve already re-written or updated

5. Lack of Variety with Your Posts

Variety is more than just the spice of life, itโ€™s also what makes a blog inviting for visitors. If youโ€™re sticking with a similar style for all your posts, this may be why your blogโ€™s growth has been stunted.

The Fix

There are many different options for how blog content can be presented. Mix things up style-wise with your blog by considering any of the following possibilities with blog-related content:

  • Lists
  • Tutorials/how-toโ€™s
  • Resource or link list posts based on curated content
  • Checklists
  • Personal stories or in-depth posts
  • Reviews
  • Interviews

Give your blog posts even more variety in a way that encourages growth by mixing up text with relevant images and, when appropriate, a complimentary video. Infographics can also add some flavor to your blog posts by presenting your main points in a visually appealing and easily digestible way.

6. Being Too Active on Other Platforms

If your blog is just one of many things on a very busy digital to-do list, this may be the reason for lackluster results with your blogging efforts. Working too hard to maintain a digital presence could leave you taking shortcuts, like recycling content from other sources for your blog posts.

Being too busy with various platforms may also have you posting inconsistently and doing other things that could impact your blogโ€™s performance.

The Fix

Narrow down your digital to-do list focusing on a handful of platforms you can manage. Another option is to delegate some of your blogging obligations.

If the problem is trying to juggle multiple blogs, consider folding your under-performing blogs or consolidating content into one blog thatโ€™s easier to manage.

7. No Definition for Your Brandโ€™s Style or Identity

Blogging is often more effective when thereโ€™s a clear identity behind it. In other words, someone coming to your blog should be able to easily tell theyโ€™ve come across your blog content.

The reason why this tends to work well is because of the natural inclination of blog visitors to stick with whatโ€™s familiar. If your blog has no defined style or identity, readers may be hesitant to commit or keep coming back. Youโ€™ll also be building trust by presenting your blog in a way that makes it easy to identify and clearly linked to your brandโ€™s core values.

The Fix

There are many ways to define your blogโ€™s identity and style for your intended audience. With blog content, set up guidelines for anyone posting or guest posting. Doing so keeps the tone and general appearance of your blog and its content consistent.

With the appearance of your blog, define your brandโ€™s style and identify by:

  • Using 3-4 go-to colors
  • Limiting fonts and font sizes to maintain consistency
  • Creating a logo or stylized title that makes your blog more identifiable

8. No Clear Goals for Your Blog

Whatโ€™s your ultimate vision for your blog? What kind of growth do you expect for your blog? If you havenโ€™t yet given much thought to these types of questions this may be why your blog isnโ€™t growing.

The goals you have for blogging will determine how everything else works with your blog, from how you engage with visitors and readers to how much time and effort you put into it. A blog thatโ€™s only a side hobby, for instance, is going to very different than the one you intend to use as your primary source of income โ€“ or an extension of your business.

The Fix

First off, stay focused on why you started your blog in the first place. Youโ€™re not going to inspire engagement and earn loyalty from readers if your blog drifts off course or appears to have no clear rhyme or reason.

Next, make it easier to set reasonable goals for your blog by:

  • Defining the overall goal of your blog
  • Setting short-term goals you feel reasonably confident you can achieve
  • Having longer-term goals that will serve as a guide for where your blog will eventually go with its content

9. Not Marketing Your Blog

So, youโ€™ve put a lot of time and effort into blogging and, letโ€™s say, youโ€™ve covered all the blogging bases already covered here. Way to go! But, wait, why are you still getting very little payoff for all your hard work and diligence?!?

If this applies to your situation, the problem may be a failure to market your blog. After all, itโ€™s estimated there are 600 million blogs in the world today. So, not surprisingly, itโ€™s easy to get lost in a sea of blog content if youโ€™re not making an effort to reach out to your target audience.

The Fix

Your blog isnโ€™t going to grow if you expect your awesome content to be discovered. The fix here is to put together a marketing plan for your blog and its content.

The good thing about marketing a blog is the many possibilities with this process. A perfect place to start is with your social media pages and any existing email lists you may have.

Blog-related marketing efforts can also involve:

  • Complementing each post with visuals
  • Using on-page and off-page SEO strategies to make your blog searchable
  • Writing compelling, brief, and descriptive titles for your posts
  • Repurposing your blog-based content on your website and social pages to direct visitors back to your more in-depth blog content
  • Making the effort to encourage quality and relevant links that point back to your blog from trusted sources
  • Creating a UTM link to attract marketing campaigns
  • Answering questions on Quora
  • Using heat maps

Marketing your blog can also involve reaching out to online influencers in your niche. Additionally, it can be beneficial to become a guest blogger yourself on popular blogs specific to your niche.

One other possibility with blog-related marketing is to place your blog directly on your website or to make it accessible from your site. People tend to like convenience, so if your blog is easy to find and get to, you may be rewarded with steady growth.

10. Blog Content Isnโ€™t a Good Fit for Your Target Audience

Be willing to take an honest look at your blog content if youโ€™re not seeing the desired or expected results with your topics. Even if you firmly believe youโ€™re producing amazing content, there may be some issues youโ€™re not aware of yet.

One possibility is that your content is not in line with what your intended audience expects based on factors such as:

  • Your blogโ€™s title
  • The nature of the content
  • The way your blogโ€™s topic is covered

The Fix

If a disconnect with your target audience is an issue, fine-tune your blog content so itโ€™s better tailored to your audience. A/B testing your posts is one way to do this. What youโ€™ll be doing with A/B testing is comparing two similar posts and seeing which one gets the best results

Another potential fix is to adjust your blog so it targets an audience likely to be more appreciative of how youโ€™re approaching the topic. Yes, this will likely mean redefining your demographics and other audience data points, but it could be that is what is necessary to give you the growth you want to see.

Final Thoughts

Many issues can affect your blog or make blogging seem more like a chore than something you truly enjoy. Once you narrow down the issues likely stalling growth, however, you can take steps to get the results you want.

If, for instance, a lack of fresh, consistent content is the main issue, welcoming guest blog posts is one way to resolve this problem. Once you make some adjustments, whatever they end up being, have patience. It will take some time to see a shift in engagement patterns.

Lastly, stay on top of your blogging stats. This way you can make appropriate adjustments to your content and how itโ€™s presented once you get a better feel for how your blog content is performing.

The ‘Delta variant’

The Covid19 variant B.1.617.2, was first detected in India. It is known as the โ€˜Delta variantโ€™ which transmits faster and is more infectious than the Alpha variant (B.1.617.1 strain) which was first spotted in Kent- UK. The WHO (World Health Organization) categorized it as a Variant of Concern (VOC).

According to the WHO, the strain is found in 62 countries. It is becoming the dominant variant in several countries. The second wave in India, which caused the devastation is because of this variant.

Why B.1.617.2 is a VOC?

  • This variant has 12 mutations in its spike protein compared to the initial strain that broke out in Wuhan.
  • More ACE2 enzymes appears to be assisting the entry of coronaviruses around the mutations L452R and T478K that characterized the variant.
  • The vaccines are only 33% effective against symptomatic disease from B.1.617.2 variant 3 weeks after the 1st dose but were 50% effective against B.1.1.7.

Delta variant’s resistance to the vaccine is high. The effectiveness of vaccine for this variant after the second dose is higher, but it is low for delta while comparing to the Alpha. Most of the cases reporting are people who arenโ€™t vaccinated, 2 doses of the vaccine could possibly prevent from getting infected. In case of infection despite having vaccinated, it would reduce the level of infection caused by the virus.

Importance of mental health

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make healthy choices. Mental health is important at every stage of life, from childhood and adolescence through adulthood.

ย  ย  ย  Physical discomfort or illness causes the mind to be upset and this is but natural as physical pain is reflected in the thoughts produced in the mind. On your physical state depending on your mental state? This is one way of explaining the nature of mental health; this is one way of explaining the intimate mind-body relationship. It is pretty difficult to conquer illness through mental strength, for; the body-mind relationship is as intimate as the mind has a place in the body. The mutual influence of the body and the mind is a natural phenomenon. It should be understood that while the human body is substantive and perceivable by the senses the mind is just a concept, a stream of consciousness.

Mental health is sometimes unrelated to physical ailments. The health of the mind may rarely be a separate subject of study unrelated to the physique as psychoactive thoughts influence the mind when psychoanalysis comes in handy. Delusions, exaggerations, weird imagination, day-dreams, nightmares etc. aggravate the illness of the mind, and psychodrama, a form of psychotherapy in which patients act out events from the past, may be ideal in restoring a patient with mental illness to normalcy.

Some of the youth of our day spoil their mental health by getting addicted to drugs and liquor. Under the influence of the drugs and liquor they lose their normalcy. They should realise that they should avoid bad habits. They should know that courage is their strength. Youngsters should develop a tendency to face life with an optimistic outlook and should never be neurotic. They should develop sound mental health by training themselves to be calm, collected, resolute and self-confident. As you grow your self-confidence and resoluteness should grow with you and you should be a force to reckon with.

There is no general agreement on what constitutes sound mental health. In fact, it is easier to certify someone as mentally unhealthy as healthy. If someone needs psychiatric help to overcome his problems he is said to be mentally unhealthy.

Sound mental health is generally the result of happiness. Happiness arises out of our achievements. We attempt to do something difficult. If we achieve success in doing it we are happy and consequently we are in sound mental health. Sound mental health is caused by our success in our profession, by happiness in the family atmosphere, by keeping our relationship with outsiders sound and healthy.

The mental health of the students will be sound if they do well in their examinations and feel happy. The mental health of the students will be sound if they have good relationship with their teachers. The mental health of the students will be sound if their parents show them much love and encourage them, if they have good relationship with their brothers, sisters and friends.

positive body image

We are bombarded everyday with images of perfection: perfect lives, perfect bodies, perfect children, all held up for inspection via social media. these images are hard to live up to, so perhaps it is no wonder that charities warn that mental health problems are rising, especially among young people. Ut is, however, possible to take steps to protect yourself against the onslaught of perfection. One powerful weapon to develop is a positive body image, an acceptance of your body and both its good and bad points. This helps you to become confident and comfortable in your own skin.

WHAT IS BODY IMAGE?

Body image is how you see yourself physically, both when you think about yourself, and when you look in a mirror. Body image can be affected by stereotypes and beliefs, including those of the people around you as well as your own. Having a positive body image does not mean that you think everything about your body is perfect. After all ,nobody is perfect, no even supermodels. Instead, positive body image means accepting your body for what it is, celebrating your natural shape and size, and how your body performs. People with positive body image understand that personal appearance has very little to do with ability or character . They are confident and comfortable with themselves, and do not waste time worrying about their body.

DEVELOPING A POSITIVE BODY IMAGE –

Developing a positive body image ,or, helping someone else to do so, requires three key skills or characteristics:

  1. GOOD SELF ESTEEM-Those with low self esteem may also have a more negative image of their bodies, because they have a generally low opinion of themselves and their abilities. Both are also linked to self confidence. Improving your self esteem requires building up your view of yourself. It means taking control of your inner dialogue, and ensuring that it becomes more positive. Instead of focusing on what might go wrong, it is important to focus on what is already good.
  2. A POSITIVE ATTITUDE -The second element, a positive attitude, is closely linked to self esteem. Positive thinking is the idea that you can change your life by thinking more positively. We should try to avoid perfectionism as nobody is perfect and trying to be perfect in any sphere is only going to lead to problems in the long term. Avoid making comparisons and try to simply celebrate others’ successes as well as your own. Not rushing to judge is likely to make you kinder and pleasanter to be around.
  3. EMOTIONAL AWARENESS AND SELF CONTROL, SOMETIMES CALLED EMOTIONAL STABILITY-Finally, to manage your views about your body, you need to be aware and in control of your emotions. There will be times when you see or hear things that will upset you, and affect your view of your body. At these times, you need to be able to understand what you are feeling, and why, to help you manage and master those feelings, and avoid them affecting your body image on a permanent basis.

THE BOTTOM LINE

A poor or negative body image can be starting point for serious mental illnesses, including eating disorders such as anorexia, as well as anxiety and depression. Building and maintaining a positive body image is therefore important. Learning to accept yourself and your body or even just to give yourself a break now and then is one of the most important skills for the mind.

WORLD: TOWARDS CLIMATE CHANGE.

“IT SHALL BE THE DUTY OF EVERY CITIZEN OF INDIA TO PROTECT AND IMPROVE THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT INCLUDING FORESTS, LAKES, WILDLIFE, RESOURCES, AND RIVERS TO HAVE COMPASSION FOR LIVING CREATURES”. – ARTICLE 51-A, DIRECTIVE PRINCIPLES OF STATE POLICY. An Environment is everything that is around us, including both Living and non- Living things such as SOIL, WATER, ANIMALS, and PLANTS which adapt themselves to their surroundings. The Environment plays an important role in the existence of life on the planet EARTH! It is nature’s gift that helps in nourishing life on the planet EARTH. Environment plays an important role in HEALTHY LIVING and EXISTENCE OF LIFE in on EARTH. But, “ARE WE REALLY LIVING HEALTHY”? “ARE OUR ENVIRONMENT BEING ENOUGH PROTECTED FOR NOURISHING LIFE ON EARTH”? Well, We all know the answer of it! The way we all are living our lives so selfishly, only focusing on our personal needs, by utilising all natural resources it won’t be wrong to make a statement that we have failed to be a RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN! “RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PROTECTION OF OUR ENVIRONMENT”. “RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PROTECTION OF OUR MOTHER NATURE”. Here, the question that arises is that what has happened around the world that has affected our ENVIRONMENT so badly? What has caused the AIR to be IMPURE? What is making SEA LEVEL rise more and more, leading to severe FLOODS, CYCLONES, across the whole world? INDEED, IT IS CLIMATE CHANGE. Today, CLIMATE CHANGE is an accepted fact unlike a decade ago, where scientists and governments were arguing about its existence! In simple terms,. It refers to the RISE IN AVERAGE SURFACE TEMPERATURES ON EARTH. CLIMATE CHANGE is a LONG-TERM SHIFT in WEATHER CONDITIONS identified by changes in TEMPERATURE, PRECIPITATION, WINDS and OTHER INDICATORS. IS CLIMATE CHANGE REAL? There is a broad based agreement within the scientific community that CLIMATE CHANGE IS REAL. An overwhelming scientific consensus maintains that CLIMATE CHANGE is due primarily to the human use of FOSSIL FUELS, which releases CARBON-DIOXIDE and other GREENHOUSE GASES into the air. The GASES trap heat within the ATMOSPHERE, which can have a range of effects on ECOSYSTEMS, including RISING SEA LEVELS, SEVERE WEATHER EVENTS AND DROUGHT THAT Render landscapes! The UNITED STATES ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY, THE NATIONAL AERONAUTICS AND SPACE ADMINISTRATION concur that CLIMATE CHANGE is indeed occuring and is almost certainly due to human activities. As, concentrations of Green House Gases have increased, the EARTH has warmed. Today’s INDUSTRIALISED COUNTRIES including, NEW ZEALAND have built their economies on BURNING FOSSIL FUELS to provide ELECTRICITY, TRANSPORT and to develop industries. Developing countries are now beginning to do the same!

Humans, Thus are increasingly influencing the CLIMATE and Earth’s temperature by burning FOSSIL FUELS, DEFORESTATION, USAGE OF FERTILIZERS and LIVESTOCK FARMING. Sixteen of the SEVENTEENTH WARMEST YEARS, on record have been in 21st century. Wikipedia says that though there have been previous periodics of climate change, since the Mid 20th century, humans have had an unprecedented impact on Earth’s CLIMATE CHANGE and caused change on Global change. The INTERGOVERNMENTAL PANEL ON CLIMATE CHANGE (IPCC), which includes more than 1300 scientists from the UNITED STATES, and other countries, forecasts a temperature rise of 2.5 to 10 degrees Fahrenheit over the next century. Global Climate change is projected to continue to change over this century and beyond. The magnitude of CLIMATE CHANGE beyond the next few decades depends primarily on the amount of heat trapping gases emitted globally and how sensitive the Earth’s climate is. HURRICANES WILL BECOME STRONGER, leading to CYCLONES like, TAUKTAE( the most recent one) another one, named AMPHAN and many more. ARCTIC LIKELY TO BECOME ICE- FREE, and many more.

Hence, Climate change is one of the most critical GLOBAL CHALLENGES of our times. Recent events have emphatically demonstrated our growing vulnerability to CLIMATE CHANGE. Climate change impacts will range from affecting agriculture further endangering FOOD SECURITY- to SEA LEVEL RISE, SPECIES EXTINCTIONS, and spread of VECTOR BORNE DISEASES AND DISEASES LIKE CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) which has led to severe disruptions of our lifestyle. Hence, the issue is of immense importance for every global citizen. This is why IT REQUIRES GLOBAL INITIATIVES AGAINST IT.

THE WORLD IS ACTING NOW! MITIGATING CLIMATE CHANGE is about reducing the release of greenhouse gas emissions that are warming the planet. There have been many GLOBAL INITIATIVES to prevent CLIMATE CHANGE started by various sectors. THE UNITED NATIONS ENVIRONMENT PROGRAMME (UNEP) stimulates worldwide awareness of the Environment and enhances political attention and action through WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY, commemorated each year on 5TH JUNE. UNEP is asking countries and governments to focus on their GREENHOUSE GAS EMISSIONS and how to Reduce them. It tries to raise voice AGAINST CLIMATE CHANGE. WORLD HEALTH ORGANISATION (WHO) is also initiating a campaign against CLIMATE CHANGE. Since 1998, ASEAN also has taken many initiatives and actions on the ground to address land and forest fires and haze pollution. To Conclude, it is now clear that initiatives to prevent CLIMATE CHANGE are started, but most importantly these initiatives must be continuous and sustainable. And every citizen will need to understand the importance of taking action on their own and contribute to prevent CLIMATE CHANGE. As LEONARDO DI CAPRIO well said: “The Argument is Over. Anyone that doesn’t believe that CLIMATE CHANGE is happening doesn’t believe in SCIENCE”.

Traditional Vs Modern medicine

Traditional versus Modern

India has a rich lexicon of traditional medicinal practices. The recent tussle between the traditional systems and modern medicine has started the debate about which is better. After the government legalized the use of some surgical methods in the traditional system, the spark became a fire and the fight between the two intensified. In December 2020 postgraduates of Ayurveda were allowed to practice specific medical surgeries through a government notification. Indian Medical Association (IMA) criticized this move and protested against it.
India is a country with strong cultural beliefs and trust in traditional ways and means. Hence people cannot be coerced to completely reject these systems. A better model would be the one where both complement each other. Take China for example. In China, both traditional along with modern medicines were used during the COVID-19 pandemic and they reported a decrease in mortality rates.
In India, six traditional systems namely Ayurveda, Unani, Homeopathy, Sowa Rigpa, Naturopathy and Siddha are recognised by the government. A dedicated ministry of AYUSH was established to formalize these traditional systems. They can be used to complement modern Allopathy because India is a densely populated country with a shortage of medical experts. Synergies between the two systems and collaborative work can help ease the burden on the present healthcare infrastructure.
Hence instead of viewing each other as arch-nemesis, they should try to work in tandem for the goal of a better public health care system. Also, there is a large population in rural India and even among the urban intelligentsia who put their faith in traditional medicines for various non-lethal medical conditions. The traditional system can help reduce the burden faced by the modern system of medicine. COVID -19 overwhelmed the hospitals and less serious illnesses were sidelined. This created discomfort for many patients. In such a situation a well organized traditional system was able to provide relief to many. Together they can reinvigorate the health care system for the benefit of the public at large.
Although only six systems of traditional medicines are recognized by the ministry there are several other systems that are lesser-known because they are practiced amongst remote communities or tribal communities. A lot of research is required to compile that knowledge. India needs to get intellectual property rights for its rich heritage. Traditional knowledge digital library (TKDL) is an initiative by the government of India to collect these hidden cultural treasures.
Lastly, the choice remains with the public. They can decide where to get treated. The role of government should be to formalize the traditional system. More solid evidence of their efficacy and therapeutic effect should be collected. This will not only win the trust of the people but also the doctors practicing modern medicine.
Also, it is important to recognize the contribution of the doctors during the pandemic. Public figures should refrain from passing sensitive comments because the country is going through a tumultuous time. Solidarity and appreciation for the compromises made by the doctors should be instilled. The differences should be kept on the back burner. Instead, emphasis on the fight against the common enemy, the Wuhan virus, should be the pivot of all discussions.

For example if you want to reach a client in social media handles first try to read their work genuinely. Don’t reach out to them without reading their work and give false statements about their work. It will create a bad impression.

Try to appreciate their work if it was really good and gradually let them know that you want to gain some experience from them. Because they have lots of experience they might consider you and help you in your content writing career.

peer pressure isn’t all bad

We all share the need to connect with others,no matter the age. We want a sense of belonging at home and within the community. Being accepted by peers is an important part of adolescence. Teens yearn to fit in and to be seen in a favorable light. As a result, peers often have a strong influence on teens behaviors, choices and actions. Too often, we assume peer influence is harmful. We tend to associate peer pressure with one forceful teen pushing another into doing something negative. But there are plenty of positive ways peer influence their teen counterparts.

There are five major positive types of peer pressure :

  1. INSPIRING POSITIVE CHOICES- There are plenty of ways young people influence others to make good choices. For example, if a group of friends takes part in a volunteer project, it may inspire others to join in on something they may have otherwise not gotten involved. In a girl’s case, she works harder to get good grades because her peer is committed to doing well in school. They have a strong work ethic, and now so does she.
  2. PICKING UP HEALTHY HABITS – Fitting in fells good. It can even help in contribute to overall health. Friends who make healthy choices for themselves may encourage your teen to do the same. Whether it’s joining the school track club, choosing a healthy option instead of junk food, or making it easier to say no in a situation where drugs or alcohol are present, peers often act as positive role models. Other times, they may use peer pressure to inspire your teen to give up established bad habits and begin new healthier ones.
  3. SHARING NEW EXPERIENCES – Trying new things can be hard. It takes courage and confidence. For young people, trying something new along with friends can be inspirational. Sharing new experiences with others can make them feel more confident. Whether it’s trying out a new roller coaster, presenting a school report in front of the class, or going on a first double date, there’s strength in numbers. They may build even stronger bonds through sharing first time experiences.
  4. OFFERING MORAL SUPPORT – Adolescence can be challenging as young people try to answer huge questions, like, “Who am I?” and “Do I fit in?” Good friends support each other. They try out ideas with one another before going outside their trusted circles. Or, they may learn to solve conflict together. The goal is for them to struggle through hardships and celebrate successes, together. And as they support one another through ups and downs, they build their own internal strength and resilience the power of their connections to others.
  5. SOCIAL MEDIA AS A POSITIVE FORCE – When used appropriately, social media has its own benefits. Its a space for young people to quickly run ideas pat each other and gain support from one another. It can be particularly critical for teens who are isolated in their own communities, but can find peers with similar interests or struggles online. And because social media allows interactions beyond schools, homes or local communities, the idealistic youth voice can be amplified and elevated to address social problems. In other words, it’s a space for teens to further connect and make their voices heard.

Parents shouldn’t try to pick teen’s friends. Instead, they should monitor the teens as a part of a balanced parenting style. They should encourage positive friendships and connections by exposing them to a wide variety of healthy activities .By giving teens support and love while setting safe boundaries and modeling and discussing good character, we guide them to make their own , positive choices. As they learn to navigate peer culture, they’ll need to strike a balance between being themselves and fitting in. They are free to do so when parents love them for who they are and provide safe boundaries for them to explore within. the positive result? Teens who learn to think for themselves and make the most out of their connections to others as they travel the road to adulthood.

LEGISLATIVE AND JUDICIAL ATTEMPTS TO BURY THE BASIC STRUCTURE DOCTRINE

Introduction:

The doctrine of basic structure is not defined in the constitution of India. The term has evolved as a result of various judicial decisions by the years. The Basic Structure Doctrine of Constitution of India states that the parliament can neither destroy nor alter the basic structure of the Indian constitution. The doctrine is applicable only to the constitutional amendments.

The basic features of the Constitution are:

  1. Supremacy of the constitution.
  2. Republican and democratic form of government.
  3. Secular character of the constitution.
  4. Federal character of the constitution.
  5. Separation of power.
  6. Unity and Sovereignty of India.
  7. Individual freedom.

The Bills regarding amendment of Constitution can only be passed by the Parliament itself. But the power is absolute and limited to some aspect. The Supremeย Court of India holds the power to declare any law which it considers inconsistent with the Constitution invalid. In other words if any bill is passed by the Parliament which does not follows the ideals of the Constitution will be held invalid and void by the Supreme court. This doctrine has been laid by the Supreme Court to ensure and preserve the will of the Constitution and the ideology behind it. Hence, the Parliament cannot destroy or alter the basic structure of the Constitution.ย

Evolution of the Basic Structure Doctrine:

The term Basic structure Doctrine has evolved through various decisions of the Supreme Court on the powers of parliament and judiciary. There was a dilemma between Article 13 and Article 368, the question raised was which of the Article had an overriding effect on the other.

Shankari Prasad vs. Union of India[1] (1951)

In this case, the First amendment was challenged on the ground that it is in violation to the Part-III of the constitution. Therefore, it was suggested that it should be considered invalid and void. The Supreme Court held that the Article 368 of the Constitution states, โ€˜the Parliament has the power to amend any part of the constitution including fundamental rights.โ€™

In Sajjan Singh Vs State of Rajasthan[2] case in 1965 the Court gave the same ruling.

Golak Nath vs State of Punjab[3]

In this case in 1967, the Supreme Court held that the Parliament is not empowered to amend Part III of the constitution as the fundamental rights are immutable. The Supreme Court overruled its earlier decision.  According to the Supreme Court ruling, Article 368 lays down the procedure to amend the constitution, that does not give absolute powers to the parliament and to amend any part of the constitution.

The 24th Constitution Amendment Act

In 1971, the Parliament passed the 24th Constitution amendment act. The act gave absolute power to the parliament, in order to make any changes in the constitution and also the fundamental rights. It also made it obligatory for the President to give his assent on all the Constitution Amendment bills sent to him. This move was executed evidently in the favor of Smt. Indira Gandhi and her government.

Kesavananda Bharti vs. State of Kerala[4]

In this case, the Supreme Court upheld the validity of the 24th Constitution Amendment Act and reviewed its decision in the Golaknath case. The Supreme Court held that the Parliament has power to amend any provision of the constitution but the basic structure of the constitution is to be maintained as it is. But the Apex Court has not provided any clear definition for the term basic structure. It held that the “basic structure of the Constitution could not be abrogated even by a constitutional amendment”.

Attempts to bury the Basic Structure Doctrine:ย ย  Many politicians, experts and ministers were against the basic structure defined by the earlier cases. This led to challenges against the verdict of the court. In 1975, the Supreme Court reaffirmed the concept of Basic Structure Doctrine. This happened when the victory of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in the elections was upheld by the Allahabad High Court on the grounds of electoral malpractice. Justice Krishna Iyer granted a stay allowing Indira Gandhi to work as the Prime Minister on the condition that she would not draw salary and speak or vote until the case was decided. But, while the court was hearing the case, the parliament passed the Thirty- ninth amendment o the constitution. This amendment removed the authority of the Supreme Court to handle cases with regard to elections of President, Prime Minister and the speaker of Lok Sabha.ย  Instead a body will be constituted for resolving such disputes. The aim of the bill was evidently to benefit Smt. Indira Gandhi. Some amendments were also made to the Representation of Peoples Acts of 1951 and 1974 and placed in theย Ninth Scheduleย along with

the Election Laws Amendment Act, 1975. The mala fide intention of the government to save the face of Indira Gandhi in case the Court passed a verdict against them was proved by the hurry in which the Thirty-ninth amendment was passed. The bill was introduced on 7th of August, passed by the Lok Sabha the same day, and Rajya Sabha the next day, the President passed it giving his assent 2 days later and it was gazetted on 10th August. The counsel for the opposing party challenging Indira Gandhi argued that the amendment violated the basic structure of Constitution and hence should be held unconstitutional.  It affected the power of judicial review and the basic features including conducting of free and fair elections. They also argued that the Parliament is not empowered to decide if the election were valid or not stating the incompetency to use its constituent power to hold an election that was declared void by the High court. The court upheld the amended laws, striking down the law which restricted the power of judiciary to adjudicate the situation. The judges grudgingly accepted the Parliaments power to pass overriding laws.

Within three days of the decision of the election case, C.J. Ray convened to review the Keshavanandan Bharti case verdict with regard to a number of land ceiling petitions. The opposing partyโ€™s counsel argued that it was an unnecessary move. The bench dissolved soon after it and people doubted the governmentโ€™s indirect involvement in the issue. The National emergency was declared in 1975. Soon after the Congress party constituted a committee with Sardar Swaran Singh its chairman to review the question of amending the Constitution. Through the 42nd amendment several changes were incorporated which also included that any amendments by the Parliament in the past or in future in the constitution cannot be questioned by the court.

Minerva Mills and the Waman Rao cases[5]

In this case the owners of Minerva mills challenged the 42nd amendment in the Supreme Court. Mr. N.A. Palkhivala from the side of petitioners decided not to challenge the government’s action instead he framed the challenge to Parliament’s power to amend the Constitution. He argued that the section 55 of the amendment provided unlimited power to the Parliament. He added that Article 31 C violated the Preamble and the basic structure doctrine, hence should be declared unconstitutional. It also took away the power of judicial review.

The majority judgment (4:1) held the amendment to Article 31C unconstitutional.โ€™ It destroyed the harmony and balance between fundamental rights and directive principles which is an essential or basic feature of the Constitution.โ€™ In another case relating to a similar dispute involving agricultural property the apex court, held that all constitutional amendments made after the date of the Kesavananda Bharati are subject to judicial review as the same procedure as prior to the 42nd amendment.

DEFINE NEXT WHO YOU CAN BE CHOICE IS YOURS ?

Things we learned from Covid-19

We came to know real friends and relatives. In this lockdown, only a few people cared about us. Before that, in our life, we trusted everyone and helped them with good intentions. But when a problem was raised for us they left us in midway. Thanks to the virus which helped us to identify real ones and fake ones. If they betrayed us it doesn’t mean that we should not help them in the future.

Many relationships broke in this lockdown due to long-distance and lack of motivation to call the other person and the main reason is laziness. Due to this, the other person could have thought that you are no longer interested in them and the second thoughts will arise in their minds which will create a rift in your relationship. They will keep on pestering you to know the actual reason and you will say to them that there is nothing to worry about. Here you will come to know how much space your partner is giving you to breathe. If they keep on dominating you please leave that relationship immediately for your goodness and also for your partner.

You came to know the troubles faced by healthcare professionals. They are the real gods in these tough times. They too have families to take care of but they served the patients with utmost care and good health care facilities. We should thank them for their good services in these tough times. There is a series in Dice Media channel called Operation MBBS. It has 2 seasons. The first season will talk about the normal medical college-related things. But in the second season, they captured all the issues and difficulties faced by people, healthcare professionals, and doctors. Everybody should watch that series to get a clear view of the difficulties in our life.

Many people lost their jobs. Even people working in IT companies also lost their jobs. Because there is no work left for people to do. Due to this, they got kicked out of their jobs. That is the time when we came to know the real value of jobs and skills required for us to land in good jobs.

Nowadays skills are more important and we have to be skilled enough to land in a good company. So many students started to learn online courses to improve their knowledge and kill their time. Also, many online platforms provided free courses for students to learn. All we have to do is explore them and start learning them to keep ourselves updated.

Due to the lack of money people started to do freelancing. So heavy competition started to creep up in freelancing fields. Only people with good portfolios got selected. And another thing that arose in this lockdown is so many people started their youtube channels. They started posting so many videos and competition began to creep up. People are tired of watching them and only good productive videos got more views than random videos.

We came to know about the importance of families and our family dinner. This lockdown gave us lots of time to connect with our family members and we spent our quality time with them by chit-chatting, playing, cooking, and laughing. These things could have happened once in a year but this lockdown made it lasted for more than 2 months. It is our family which will support us and will come with us throughout our lifetime. Others in our life are temporary and we should prioritize our time according to our needs.

10 symptoms that you are going through stress

1. Mood Swings

2. Frequent or easily crying

3. Lack of focus and concentration

4. Emotionally sensitive

5. Anxious about worst-case scenarios

6. Quick lose of temper or irritability

7. Having issues in decision making

8. Irregular sleep or digestive issues

9. Memory/ recall problems

10. No motivation to do anything

These are the symptoms and you have to take care of them by giving attention to them. The first thing is by reading self-help books. Self-books are the best start to cure your stress. It will be hard to start at first but if you go through them for 21 days then it will become a habit for you and as well as your daily routine. Especially in this lockdown, everyone is facing stress because of confided in our homes. We can also install some apps from playstore to destress our stress.

If you can draw well please draw at least one picture a day to defeat your stress demon. after seeing the outcome of our result our heart will feel light. In these covid times, try to step out of your room and go to your terrace to get some good air. Because staying in our rooms increases the chances of negative vibration.

The next thing many people noticed is staying in a toxic relationship. If you are staying in a toxic relationship try to leave that immediately. It is the biggest stress of your life. This toxic relationship might also turn into verbal and physical abuse in later days. The faster you leave the better your future will be.

Try to stay motivated. I know this is the toughest thing to do. But nothing is impossible if we do some regular practices. Try to do at least one good thing in your day. It can be teaching some underprivileged children by joining some NGO. There are lots of NGOs that want people to volunteer to help those young minds. It will be a good deed for your life.

One of the best things to ease our stress is by doing some breathing exercises. Doing breathing exercises will help you to maintain a healthy heart. Sometimes you might feel it is not good to share your problems with others because they will judge you after hearing your story then try to write them in an online journal. This is the best practice followed by many people and it has helped them a lot. Even I wrote my feelings in an online journal. There are lots of apps available in playstore. Install the one which contains password protection.

Watch some funny series. If you have a Prime subscription then use it to watch series and you can also read books for free if you have a Prime subscription. Kindle provides a Prime Reading feature for Prime subscribers and you can read famous books for free without spending a single penny. When things come for free we should make the best use of them.

We should not underestimate ourselves. We can write things that we are grateful for. Or the achievements we made till now in our life. Try to write a bucket list and set goals for yourself to achieve them. This will help you to prioritize things in your life.

A New National Education policy 2020 โ€“ 2021 to provide an overarching vision and comprehensive framework for both school and higher education across the country. The new NEP, approved by the Cabinet, has not been presented in Parliament. It is the first to be formulated by a Bharatiya Janata Party government and the first in the 21st century. It is only a policy, not a law; implementation of its proposals depends on further regulations by both States and the Centre as education is a concurrent subject.

The National Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Mission which is to be implemented by 2025 will be launched by the end of this year, said Mr. Khare. The National Council of Educational Research and Training will introduce the curricular framework for the new school structure, including early childhood care, by the next academic year. The Ministry feels that an increase in government funding of education to will be sufficient to cover the financial implications of the NEP. However, such an increase in funding has been proposed but not achieved for the last half-century, point out experts. The proposal to make the mother tongue the medium of instruction till Class 5, which has stirred up the fiercest debates, is dependent on State governments, according to the Education Minister, who would not even confirm that the policy will be implemented by centrally run schools.

In the New National Education policy in Benefits of 2020- 2021 announced by the Ministry of Human Resource Development sets for itself the goal of transforming the system to meet the needs of 21st Century India. In a federal system, any educational reform can be implemented only with support from the States, and the Centre has the giant task of building a consensus on the many ambitious plans. The policy, inter alia, aims to eliminate problems of pedagogy, structural inequities, access asymmetries and rampant commercialisation. The NEP 2020 is the first omnibus policy after the one issued in 1986, and it has to contend with multiple crises in the system. It is no secret that primary schools record shockingly poor literacy and numeracy outcomes, dropout levels in middle and secondary schools are significant, and the higher education system has generally failed to meet the aspirations for multi-disciplinary programmers. In structural terms, the NEPโ€™s measures to introduce early childhood education from age school board examinations twice a year to help improve performance, move away from rote learning, raise mathematical skills for everyone, shift to a four year undergraduate college degree system, and create a Higher Education Commission of India represent major changes.

There are some good elements to the NEP 2020- 2021 that will generate little friction, and need only adequate resourcing. Provision of an energy-filled breakfast, in addition to the nutritious mid-day meal, to help children achieve better learning outcomes, is one. Creation of โ€˜inclusion fundsโ€™ to help socially and educationally disadvantaged children pursue education is another. Where the policy fails to show rigour, however, is on universalisation of access, both in schools and higher education; the Right to Education needs specific measures to succeed. Moreover, fee regulations exist in some States even now, but the regulatory process is unable to rein in profiteering in the form of unaccounted donations. The idea of a National Higher Education

Regulatory Council as an apex control organisation is bound to be resented by States. Similarly, a national body for aptitude tests would have to convince the States of its merits. Among the many imperatives, the deadline to achieve universal literacy and numeracy by 2025 should be a top priority as a goal that will crucially determine progress at higher levels. In new National Education policy .

It is advisable to divide you task into small parts and then set up your goals accordingly, start with completion of the short-term goals to achieve long-term success. Write down your goals and schedule your day in such a manner that youโ€™re able to give enough time to achieve every goal and also perform other day-to-day activities.

This shall encourage you to work harder to achieve the goals. Always prepare well for the task you have to complete, even for the smallest thing.

2. AVERTISING YOURSELF: Advertise yourself and your work among your family and friends. The way you dress up, speak, walk, address, everything makes a great impact on your actions and achievements. However, it is not always necessary to dress up formally to work, dress simply and make up your mind in such a manner that you feel to work. The chose of your cloth accommodates your mood at a particular point of time. The way you speak and the ideas that your mind come up in your mind while a conversation also defines your personality. Talking with your friends or other people around you and able to respond to them wisely also provides motivation to an individual. Advertise the things that you learned whether through your educational institutions or the self-learned things, also talk about your talents and hobbies. It helps others to know you more and decide what kind of person are you.

3. BRAINSTROM YOURSELF: There are very effective ways to brainstorm yourself all at your own without any assistance from any person or group. That means you can conduct brainstorming sessions for yourself at any time of the day and as many times as you want. Through brainstorming you work by yourself and for yourself, there are few tips to use advanced brainstorming techniques:
โ€ข Use creative thinking to start off your approach from a different angle.
โ€ข Spark off new ideas by getting stimuli from brainstorming and not people.
โ€ข Challenge your current way to thinking to expand your approach.
โ€ข Ask questions to yourself and try to answer themselves of your own. In case youโ€™re able to answer, try to figure out the reason.
โ€ข Donโ€™t bound yourself with only one single idea or thought.ย

4. COMMUNICATE WITH YOURSELF AND TRY TO CONTROL YOUR EMOTIONS: No-one knows you better than you yourself do. Thus, always spend some time alone without any gadgets, communicating with yourself and doing your favorite activity or hobby. The individual should possess complete knowledge about oneself and know your weaknesses to work upon them. In case you donโ€™t have anyone around to talk to you about how you feel, try talking to yourself. You can also write down your thoughts both positive as well as negative, this helps to analyses how positive or negative ideas are staying in your mind. Later, you have to train your mind to avoid all the negative ideas or thoughts around yourself. Learn to control your emotions, getting sad at small thinks can cause overthinking and brings negative thoughts to your mind. Try to speak up the things that trouble you in spite of keep thinking about them continuously. This might be difficult but prove to be worth it when you started feeling more joyful and happy as you no more allow any negativity to bother you.

Importance of educating a girl child

In today’s competitive world educating a girl child should be our topmost priority. Girls can handle the tasks well in a calm manner and can come up with well-defined solutions. Educating a girl child will have a huge impact on society and the environment. There are lots of NGOs supporting in educating the girl child. It will help her in the future because women cannot depend on her man all the time. It will be bad for her self-respect. Having a job helps her to speak and make her own decisions in front of her family members.

In India, many girl children are getting married at a young age and working as slaves for their husband and his family. She is overworking, producing children without her consent, and working as a slave to her in-laws.  All these things happened because she is not educated enough to stand on her own and to give her points and decisions for herself.

There are lots of advantages of educating a girl child. Educated girls come up with better solutions. If they get educated they can lead a healthy lifestyle. They are now looked at with dignity, honor, and self-respect in our society.  Now many governments and non-government organizations are providing funds for educating the girl child. Educated women are so bold and they won’t afraid to speak their views in front of others.

Nowadays, there are separate internships for women. When women are applying for an internship in Internshala they can apply filters for Internships for women. It is an added advantage for women to find the right position and job. Girls play multiple roles in our life. Educating them increases the chances of helping our society.

The main view of Indian parents is once a girl child is born they should be raised and once they reach their minimum age they should be married and sent off to another house where they have to take care of that family. This view should be changed because girls should also be considered as legal heirs of the family. Nowadays many boys are disowning their parents and sending them to old-age homes. But girls are taking care of their parents even after getting married. There are many girls in our society who left their marriages to take care of their parents. If parents think girl child will be of no use in future then they are the perfect cowards to our society.

There is a famous quote that is Once a woman went for a date with men and the men rejected her because she is not gorgeous enough to date with. Later after some time, the girl rejected him for not studied well enough. See education has made her take the right decision and helped her to teach a good lesson to him.

Many people think women are just produced to cook, take care of household activities. But they too have feelings and have the right to achieve their dreams. Everybody has dreams and we should support them to achieve them, not disown them. We as young generations should change the views of society. Make women achieve their dreams and come up with flying colors.

If she is educated she can help her husband financially in the future if any need arises. If her husband dies, then she has to take care of that family. She can do this only if she is educated well enough. Otherwise all she is left with is to do some odd jobs.

SELF LOVE IS THE BEST LOVE

Many people think that the concept of self-love is overdrawn and they ignore it. A lot of studies have shown that self-love is the key to mental wellbeing
Modern society is shaped in such a way that we are sort of bound to constantly compete against each other or even ourselves.Love is the only thing that keeps us going and makes us less robotic in a world. Everyone needs love and we spend most of our energy on loving others โ€” be it friends, spouses, children or family. We cannot always expect to rely only on external sources for love and that is where the concept of self-love comes in. A person who practices self-love will never need to depend on others to be happy and it is an empowering feeling to be happy on the inside.

Self-love is not being selfish, it is just putting yourself first and not being too tough on yourself. So next time you hear that little voice in your head telling you that you are not good enough or that you cannot afford to make mistakes , just ignore it.When our loved ones make a mistake we often forgive them easily, but when we make a mistake we are often too hard on ourselves.

The first step of self-love is realising that we are only human and it is okay to make mistakes; it is okay to lose at times; it is okay to not have the best day.All we need to do is love ourselves and let the negative things pass through.Bad times will pass.

Self-love has many benefits. The first benefit is greater life satisfaction. When we love ourselves more we instantly change our perspective of the world. Self-love can give us a more positive attitude towards life. The second benefit of self-love is that it can encourage us to pick up good habits. Self-love means loving your body, soul, and mind. Therefore, people who love themselves often refrain from doing things that will have an impact. It helps us to develop good habits.

If you start loving your body and mind more than others you will be the most happiest person in the world.
Most important benefit of self-love is better mental health. People who love themselves are less likely to suffer from anxiety or depression; self-love takes us in the way where there is a positive mindset which is an essential ingredient for success in life and for mental wellbeing.Learning to love yourself also reduces stress and makes you more focused at work.Put yourself a little higher on your priority list; think highly of yourself as the world takes you at your own estimate.Consider yourself important too, love yourself as much as you love your friends and family. When your depressed or sad don’t be angry on yourself because you may like that same thing when you see that in a positive side.Happiness and self-love are interconnected; and we all deserve to be happy. Self-love is the key to happiness and a person who is happy is in a far better position to achieve success in every aspect of life.

THE WOMAN IN THE WINDOW BY A J FINN

Anna Fox, a 39 old woman has been confined in her home for 10 months. The reason is that she suffers from a severe case of anxiety and a phobia, Agoraphobia. This phobia restricts her from venturing outside her house, making her believe that if she goes out, the outside world will swallow. She has a husband, Ed and a daughter, Olivia who lives with her father. Anna and Ed are divorced, and due to her condition, they just meet either in Annaโ€™s house and communicate through phone calls. Being stuck in the house 24/7, she confines herself to unhealthy amount of alcohol and spying on her neighbors. Being a therapist herself, she offers her consultations to the patients that suffer from Agoraphobia, on Agora.com.

During many hours of such spying on her neighbors, she notices something about one of them, the Russells. They are a family of a father, mother and a son, Ethan, whom Anna notices is very well behaved and polite child. But despite being a good child, he forever seems unhappy and sad and her  heart reaches out for him.

Once, Ethan comes to her house, because he is drawn towards her and her condition. They spend some time, and due to their conversation, Anna concludes that Mr. Russell is a cruel person. After he leaves, she promises to herself to keep an extra eye on their house, since anything can happen.

After some days, Jane, Ethanโ€™s mom, comes over to Annaโ€™s house and they spend a considerable amount of time and Anna finds that they share similar interest and has a good time. But the next day, Mr. Russell, comes and asks Anna to stay away from his family and this increases the suspicion.

That night, Anna witnesses Jane being stabbed by someone and she panics. She wants to call the police and wants to go out and save her. But due to her Agoraphobia, she calls the police first, and tries to venture out and faints. When she wakes up, she is in the hospital, she is told that Jane was not stabbed and she is totally fine.

The police conclude that it was all a hallucination due to her condition and her medications, eventually making Anna believe it. They also uncover the tragic accident where her husband and daughter died, but she still believes they are alive. This makes them not trust Anna anymore. But when the police brings Mr. Russell and Jane to her house for verification, Anna vehemently refuses that this was Jane who came to her house, and to her shock, even Ethan agrees. She still has some doubts, when one night, she receives a mail of a picture of her sleeping. She is frightened because she lives alone and calls the police. Again, due to her condition, they think she was drunk and sent it to herself.

Ethan comes to her house late at night one day, and agreed that Jane wasnโ€™t his mom. The Russells are his adoptive parents. The lady that Anna met was his biological mom, Katie. She had been a drunk and thatโ€™s why Mr. Russell didnโ€™t want her in their lives. For that splitting minute, Anna feels sorry for the family. So she advices him to talk to his parents to go to the police and clear the air.

When she goes to sleep, she feels someone is watching her, and to her horror, finds Ethan with a totally different demeanor. He horribly admits that it was he who killed Katie and that he has psychopathic behavior. Mr. Russell knew about it, and helped him bury the body in their backyard. All the while, Ethan had been following Annaโ€™s every movements and now he wants to kill her.

After a long and hot pursuit to the terrace, she manages to push him off the terrace and save herself. Only then she realizes, that Mr. Russell has been trying to save her all along.

The story is a very thrilling, crime novel which keeps us on tenterhooks until the last stretch.

Food and nutrition tips during self-quarantine

The main diet focus for COVID patients is to consume foods that would help rebuild muscle, immunity and energy levels.Nutrition plays a significant role for both, the COVID-19 patients and those who are on the path of recovery. During COVID-19, the body gets weakened and it continues for days even after recovering from the symptoms. Thus, it becomes essential to consume the right kind of diet for a speedy and complete recovery of the body. Whole grains like ragi, oats or amaranth are rich sources of complex carbohydrates. Chicken, fish, eggs, paneer, soya, nuts and seeds are some good sources of protein. Healthy fats like walnuts, almonds, olive oil, mustard oil are recommended during these days. To boost oneโ€™s immunity, one should take turmeric milk once a day.

What to take and what not to

Make a plan and buy/order only what you need:

No panic buying. Assess what you already have at home and plan your intake. This way you can avoid food waste and allow others to access the food they need.

Be strategic about the use of ingredients:

Prioritise the consumption of fresh products, use fresh ingredients and those that have a shorter shelf life first. If fresh products, especially fruits, vegetables and reduced-fat dairy products continue to be available, prioritise these over non-perishables.

Prepare home-cooked meals:

If you are not run down by fever or other COVID-19 issues, it is better to prepare nutritious meals for yourselves at home. Some examples of healthy recipes with accessible ingredients may also be found below. If your city or town has the option of โ€œcontact-lessโ€ home-delivery of food where no human interaction is required, thus supporting self-quarantine and isolation measures, use that. But prioritize the items from reliable businesses that you are sure to follow strict food hygiene requirements.

Limit your salt intake:

If you use canned, frozen or processed foods, remember they can contain high levels of salt. Go easy on use of salt when cooking and when at the table for meals. Use fresh or dried herbs and spices for added flavour instead. Cut back if you use excess fats. Fats, contrary to popular belief arenโ€™t all bad. Too much fat can cause multiple health issues like obesity, heart disease, fatty livers, etc. But the body needs a small number of healthy fats to ensure proper nutrition. Our heart also needs a bit of fat to run smoothly.

Stay hydrated:

Whether you need water to stay cool, or to flush out harmful chemicals of drugs or metabolic processes out of your body, drinking adequate water is important for you.

Eat fresh fruits and vegetables:

Every day, eat a mix of whole grains like wheat, maize and rice, legumes like lentils and beans, plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, with some foods from animal sources (e.g. meat, fish, eggs and milk).

Consume enough fibre:

Fibre contributes to a healthy digestive system and offers a prolonged feeling of fullness, which helps prevent overeating. Eat salads, vegetables, fruit, pulses and wholegrain foods in all meals. Eat dry fruits, eggs to enhance other nutrients-intake. Proteins will help you fight COVID better.

Avoid alcohol intake :

Alcohol is not a part of a healthy diet. Drinking alcohol does not protect against COVID-19 and can be dangerous. It also weakens the immune system, its heavy use undermines your bodyโ€™s ability to cope with infectious disease, including COVID-19.

Why CAA violates Indian Constitution

The citizenship amendment act was passed by parliament on 11 December 2019, signed by Ram Nath Kovind and it was amended by the citizens in 1995. This law provides a pathway to Indians citizens for persecuted religious minorities coming from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan who are Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jain, Parsis, and Christians and have arrived in India before December 2014. It grants no eligibility to Muslims coming from these countries whereas the Muslims are in majority there. In Indian law, this is happening for the first time that religion had been overtly used as a criterion for citizenship. The office of the United Nations high commission for human rights called this law Fundamentally Discriminatory. This citizenship bill will be used along with NRC i.e National Register of Citizens which will render Muslim citizens stateless, as they need to prove their identity and will require documents. Even the Hindus who came to India before December 2014 will have to prove their well-founded fear and the circumstances in which they came to India. Each claim requires examination on its merit based on the individual situation.

CAA + NRC

By the 2003 amendment of the citizenship act, the National Register of Citizens is a registry of all legal citizens. In Jan 2020, Assam had implemented NRC but the BJP has promised its implementation for the whole of India following the 2019 election manifesto. So the concerns of people are that it provides a shield only to non-Muslims, but they too have to prove that they came to India because of Religious Persecution. Many leaders say that the CAA – NRC package is targeted at Muslims by considering documents as insufficient and leaving out all the Non-Muslims.

PROTEST

The citizenship act had a great impact on Indian citizens and there were large protests in India. The protests were first held in Assam and the other North-Eastern States which witnessed violent demonstrations against the bill fearing that granting Indians citizenship to refugees and immigrants can cause loss to their political rights, culture, and Land Rights. The protest was also held in the top universities of India i.e Aligarh Muslim University, Jamia Millia University. The Protest at Jamia Millia University led to brutal suppression by the police, detention of hundreds of people, and the death of several protesters. The protest also caused the suspension of local internet connectivity in certain areas. The Protest was started at Shaheen Bagh but when Bilkis Dadi, an 82-year-old woman who became the Face of the Anti-CAA Protest gave strength to all the Muslim women, and then the Muslim women came out of their houses and there was a 24/7 sit-in peaceful protest. The activists against this act are Yogendra Yadav, Kanhaiya Kumar, Akhil Gogoi (Arrested), Safoora Zargar (Arrested), Umar Khalid etc. Scholars who were against the law are Ramachandra Guha, Arundhati Roy, Varun Grover, Anurag Kashyap, etc. The bill was opposed by the INC and said that it may raise communal tensions in the country. The bill was even opposed by the CM of different states such as Punjab, Kerala, Rajasthan, Puducherry. There were even protests in foreign countries such as New York, Washington, Melbourne, Paris, Berlin, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Geneva, San Francisco, Helsinki, and Barcelona against the citizenship amendment Act and the police brutality faced by the Indian protestors.

International reactions:-

There was a report of the United States Commission on Interreligious Freedom that says that in the world there is a downward trend in religious persecution. 61% of countries out of 196 countries have religious persecution. In India, there are โ…“ states that have anti-conversion laws which are enforced against religious minorities and Dalits. According to the report, India has been put in tier 2 list which means country of particular concern. In the last decade, there is a rise in religious persecution, and religious freedom is being deteriorated.

Can the State Government Refuse the law?

The citizenship lies in the union list of the seventh schedule where Parliament can make laws on it. The state government cannot make law under the citizenship act but as 7 to 8 States are opposing this act they can pass a resolution against it which can act as a political statement.

Is this Citizenship Act Fair enough?

Back then in 2014, BJP’s Manifesto included a natural home for Persecuted Hindu refugees but if the manifesto is in contradiction with the constitution then there is no value for such a manifesto. Citizenship shouldn’t be given based on religion because it shows that there is some sort of inequality in the country. Such laws can raise communal riots between two groups of society. As we can see that due to the citizenship amendment Act there were protests which led to Delhi Riots. Using religion as a criterion for citizenship was “inconsistent with the basic structure of the constitution”. The historian Neeti Nair also commented that the Citizenship amendment act and the national register of citizens is a step towards being a “Hindu Rashtra”.

IS INDIA STILL UP IN THE RACE OF VACCINATIONS?

The race of vaccinations is what has been keeping every country right now in their toes. The race has many heroes such as US with its Johnson and Johnson, Moderna and Astrazeneca and many other countries too. India though, is an unsung hero when it comes to this race. There have been recent developments in the vaccine status in our country. As the roll out of the 18+ category has been initiated the country is moving in an immense speed to get its citizens vaccinated. The two readily available vaccines right now in the Indian market are the Covishield and Covaxin. There is also the recent availability of the Sputnik V vaccine which is not an Indian vaccination but a Russian native vaccination.

Questions have arised as to which of the two are better but there is no legitimate proof as to which is better. Both have shown almost the same efficacy and affects on the human population. Covaxin is an inactivated vaccine which actually contains the dead coronavirus. When the vaccination is injected inside an individuals body, an immune response is triggered which initiates the body to fight against the virus but while the body does so the individual does not show any major symptoms. The efficacy of the vaccine is about 81% which was found in the phase 3 trials. Covishield, the vaccine produced by SII with coordination with Astrazeneca, this vaccine is based on the working of a viral vector which is planted into the body. Its made from a weakened version of an Adenovirus found in Chimpanzees. The efficacy rate of this vaccine is about 70% and is given in a much larger gap than that of Covaxin. Sputnik V is also based on a similar mechanism as Covishield, the adenovirus mechanism. This vaccination shows an efficacy rate of 92% though.

Are Indian vaccines safe? They are extremely safe and have a very good immunogenic response among all the age groups which have been administered with it. There have been immense research and more production day by day in indian facilities for new vaccinations. The only problem lying with the population of India is the ever lasting mentality that these vaccinations are not safe. Due to the large population size and ratio in India vaccinations are going to take sometime to reach the ends of the country and due to many misconceptions people tend to fall for myths about the vaccinations. India has fallen behind in only this one area due to the negligence of its people when the vaccines were first administered and released due to which there was a huge delay in the roll out of the vaccines.

It is our responsibility as citizens to create more awareness among people who still believe to have a taboo against vaccines and individuals spreading fake news. Only we can help ourselves and our country to move ahead and beat the virus!!

CHILD LABOUR

Childhood is the best and happiest time of everyone’s life, when they learn the fundamentals of life from their parents, loved ones, and environment.

Child labour is any service performed by children during their childhood in any sector. This is due to a lack of resources for survival, the parents’ irresponsibility, or the owner’s lack of resources to boost their earnings on low-risk investments.ย Childhood is the birthright of everyone, which he should live under the love and care of his parents, but this illegal act of child labour forces a child to live life like a grown-up.

Child labour interferes with the proper growth and development of children in all aspects, mentally, physically, socially and intellectually.ย Child labour keeps a child away from all the benefits of childhood, the happiest and memorable period of all life is spent working. This interferes with the ability to attend regular school which makes them socially dangerous and harmful citizens of the country. Child labour has become one of the biggest social issues in India that need to be resolved frequently.

Child labour is very common in many developing countries due to the high level of poverty and the existence of schooling opportunities for children.ย The main causes of child labour worldwide are poverty, parents, society, low wages, unemployment, poor living standards and understanding, social injustice, lack of schools, backwardness, ineffective laws which are directly affecting the development of the country.

Child labour is contaminating the lives of many precious children every day. It is a high level of illegal act for which one should be punished but this is happening side by side due to ineffective rules and regulations.

Children are the power of any nation, Protecting children from child labour is the responsibility of every citizen living in the country.

Children create a prosperous future for any developing country, therefore, they are the major responsibility of all adult citizens and should not be used in negative ways.

They should get a fair chance to grow and develop within the happy atmosphere of family and school.

5g case judgement

On Monday 31st may actress Juhi Chawla filed a suit in the Delhi high court against the implementation of 5G wireless networks in the country. She has raised concerns over issues related to the impact of radiation on citizens, animals, flora and fauna. Justice C Hari Shankar who was hearing this matter transferred the suit to another bench for hearing on June 2.

what Juhi Chawla has to say in her lawsuit?

Former actress and also an environmentalist filed a lawsuit stating that,

“She is not against the implementation of technology advancements” but added that the concerned departments should certify that 5g technology is safe for humans and also animals and birds. Her major concern here is first government should clear all doubts regarding the safety concerns related to 5g technology then they should proceed in implementing the technology.

status of 5g in India

5g promises to revolutionise mobile broadband and is a big generation leap over the existing 4g technology. This new technology will capable of not just guaranteeing fast internet connections but also help power IoT networks to run connected cars and homes smarter.

But 5g haven’t yet been rolled out in India tough Bharti airtel, reliance jio and vodofone idea have been given trial spectrum to test 5g technology in India. It is expected that 5g will be implemented by the end of 2021 in India.

fears around 5g radiation

The claim is that the more powerful 5g waves will emit more radiation and can cause harm to society.

Also, 5g will require more towers for better connectivity, and since it will power more than just the smartphones it will increase human exposure to such radiations. This is an extension of the idea that cellular towers that emit low-level RF-EMF fafiation are damaging our bodies. Radiation from towers, mobile phones, wifi routers is typically non-ionising radiation like radio waves, microwaves and optical radiation.

WHO’s International Agency for research on cancer has classified RF fields as possibly carcinogenic to human. But it also adds that more research is needed on this subject. They also pointed out various studies, including one conducted by the US National Toxicology Program(NTP), which proved increased cancer growth in rats after prolonged exposure to radiofrequency radiation.

Given the growing concerns, WHO is conducting a health risk assessment from exposure to radio frequencies, covering the entire radiofrequency range, including 5g. This study will be published by 2022.

Do towers negatively impact the environment?

A study done in 2017 published in the journal of entomology and zoology studies have shown that bee colonies have collapsed due to exposure to mobile phone towers and colonies near mobile phone towers were worst affected by electromagnetic radiation.

however, another study published in Science of the total environment in 2019 said more evidence was needed to establish whether such radiations poses risk to bees. It also stated other studies which have made these claims relied on unscientific methods.

Court’s judgement

The court has imposed a Rs 20 lakh fine on Juhi Chawla and called it a publicity stunt. Basic procedures were not followed by her. Under section 80 CPC it is mandatory to serve a notice before the institution of a suit against the government or against a public officer, which was not followed by her. She didn’t comply with section 91, according to which she needed to take permission from the advocate general.

The court also stated that the paragraphs in her petition were also not verified. Court also said they have abused and misused the process of law.

‘Gently falls the bakula’ by Sudha Murty

Gently falls the bakula is written by Sudha Murty.

The story starts with the two main characters Shrikant & Shrimati who are neighbours in a trivial village Hubli. They both are shown as cut throat competitors in schools and later their story turned into a teenage romance. Though, they were neighbours there was a history of rivalry between Shrimati and Shrikant โ€˜s families. But their love kept blooming like the bakula flowers on the bakula tree which stand tall between Shrikant and Shrimati โ€˜s bedroom.

After their schooling, Shrimati decided to study History and Literature at a local college, Shrikant whereas got selected at IIT Bombay and their love story turned into a series of love letters which they wrote to each other.

Despite of the rivalry which existed between Shrikant and Shrimati โ€˜s family, they both got married. Shrikant got a job in Bombay and Shrimati got an offer to study History in America by Professor Collins. Shrikant accepted his job offer at Bombay whereas Shrimati had to decline the offer to study abroad so that she could move to Bombay with Shrikant. This really highlights patriarchy and how it is sustaining through ages. Shrimati sacrificed her passion for history only because she was married to Shrikant.

Shrikant, who has now entered the corporate world was so self-loathed in his progress such that he was now taking Shrimati for granted. Shrimati, was also being ill-treated by Gangakka (Shrikantโ€™s mother) and was feeling dreadful and lonely in the crowded city of Bombay. Shrikant was always exhausted by his corporate job and had no time to keep his marriage alive.

Shrimati had never imagined her subtle, beautiful and modest life in Hubli would change into loneliness and dark days in Bombay. Moreover, Shrikantโ€™s affection for Shrimati would deteriorate with days passing by, fights and arguments started taking place between them.

Shrimati was tired of her dreadful life in Bombay and decided to look after her first love, History because her second love Shrikant was diminishing. She contacted Professor Collins who had proposed her to study History in Asian university in America. Eventually, Professor Collins proposed the same offer for her but this time Shrimati had made up her mind to follow her dreams, follow who she is and follow what she wants to be.

The story classically ends, Shrimati leaving India and Shrikant not able to change anything about it.

The Bakula flower which was signified as the love between Shrimati and Shrikant had fallen gently as the title says โ€˜Gently falls the bakulaโ€™.

The novel, is a tale of a marriage getting failed due to lack of time, communication and self-pride. Shrimati chose herself at the end signifies how important it is to follow our dreams. Though, the story ends at a sad note, the end of the novel totally gives justice to the title.

In Telangana, former Health Minister E. Rajendra has resigned to the primary membership of the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS). The former minister said, he does not care for positions and many times, he resigned earlier on a call of Chief Minister Chandrasekhar Rao. He expressed pain on his removal from the Cabinet without knowing what had happened.

IS INDIA PREPARED FOR THE THIRD WAVE ?

Immunity, developed after the first wave, is not widespread. The number of people who remained unaffected because of cautionary steps taken in the first step may have been large. Immunity can also fade. Someone infected earlier can get reinfected but we know that the protection is still very high after eight months.

ย In 2019, when the virus emerged, it was a generalist. It could infect many mammals and was not a tightly human-adaptive virus. The lineage continued for a long period. In the second phase, which started in October 2020, the virus became fitter. “It was a key that could fit many locks,” the expert said adding that with the increase in the transmission, the key became more refined.

Safe Girls

Itโ€™s always better to view a situation in its totality. Many times when we look at a situation, we tend to view only a part of it because we are already biased in our approach. Safety of girls and women in India is a grave issue. To tackle the problem, a multi-thronged tactics is required. Skewed sex-ratio, โ€˜commodificationโ€™ of the female body through media and other popular means, patriarchal mind-set, lax justice system etc are some of the reasons why there is apparently an increase in incidents of assault on girls and women.

First and foremost, exemplary punishment would be the best method of sending the correct message throughout the society. Potential criminals will be deterred once they see that justice is done and it is done within a time framework.

Secondly, skewed sex ratio is bound to bring crimes into picture. India needs to be educated that girls should be allowed to live. Killing girls in the womb must be stopped. Again, exemplary punishment to the offenders will go a long way in improving the situation.

Advertisements, films, television serials need to portray women as human beings and not just as sex-agents. Women and girls, like all other human beings, exist for many things apart from satisfying and fulfilling needs of the body.ย  Presently, female element is being used for โ€˜pepperingโ€™ the show, the advertisement or the film. It settles the female with the concept ofย โ€˜masalaโ€™ย in our minds. These along with patriarchal brining up give a kind of licence to the criminalโ€™s mind to venture into the territory of violence

ARE E-BOOKS STILL TRENDING ?

Do you prefer reading an e-book or a physical version? It might be a surprise, but for most people, old school print on paper still wins.

Publishers of books in all formats made almost $26 billion in revenue last year in the U.S., with print making up $22.6 billion and e-books taking $2.04 billion, according to the Association of American Publishersโ€™ annual report 2019. Those figures include trade and educational books, as well as fiction.

While digital media has disrupted other industries such as news publishing and the music business, people still love to own physical books, according to Meryl Halls, managing director of the Booksellersโ€™ Association in the U.K.

โ€œI think the e-book bubble has burst somewhat, sales are flattening off, I think the physical object is very appealing. Publishers are producing incredibly gorgeous books, so the cover designs are often gorgeous, theyโ€™re beautiful objects,โ€ she told CNBC.

People love to display what theyโ€™ve read, she added. โ€œThe book lover loves to have a record of what theyโ€™ve read, and itโ€™s about signaling to the rest of the world. Itโ€™s about decorating your home, itโ€™s about collecting, I guess, because people are completists arenโ€™t they, they want to have that to indicate about themselves.โ€

Genres that do well in print include nature, cookery and childrenโ€™s books, while people prefer to read crime, romantic novels and thrillers via e-reader, according to Nielsen Book International.

Itโ€™s more than a decade since Amazon launched the Kindle, and for Halls, there is also a hunger for information and a desire to escape the screen. โ€œItโ€™s partly the political landscape, people are looking for escape, but they are also looking for information. So, they are coming to print for a whole, quite a complex mess of reasons and I think โ€ฆ itโ€™s harder to have an emotional relationship with what youโ€™re reading if itโ€™s on an e-reader.โ€

Even animals are better than humans

I think every pet owner, or a self-proclaimed animal lover will agree to the fact that we don’t need an excuse to have the love that we feel for our animal friends, they are SIMPLY the best in all of our lives.

The Animals Will Save Your Life. All of these beautiful things, and animals can see things that people don’t notice … many times, the animals, and entire families are on board, warn them that something isn’t right, or if it is an intruder, in a diabetic coma on a house on fire, a gas leak, or even cancer.

Our pets are, and this is an amazing way to never stop, and with the support of the us, and make us laugh when we need it the most. I know for sure is that she’s just been awesome, and don’t do it on purpose…but for his eccentric antics, we will always make us laugh even when we don’t feel like it!
Pets are not. They don’t betray the faith or stab you in the back.

They are not searching for the perfect fairy tale, a novel, they are mentally unstable, and when they find out that it was all an illusion.

The animals are not hungry for material things.

They have only two genders, and don’t kid yourself that there is more to them.

They don’t know anything about, jealousy, or a one.

They do not have a religion at all. They are not willing to kill or be killed in front of an imaginary character, that no one can see.

They don’t have to fight.

They will not have to commit horrific acts of violence. When a pack of wolves, the traces of a deer, to the point of exhaustion and tears in pieces alive, but it seems cruel, but they do so only in order to survive. It’s not like it 4 times in a 4-year-old white South African girl, with a table and raped her while her parents are all dead on the ground. There must be a better to tear a rabbit into pieces to feed to the chickens, it is not the same as the 20 and the men who took part in the cutting off of the head of a Norwegian girl who, after he has raped her, and then posted a video of her with her parents.

They live in harmony with their surroundings. And, except in the cases where they have been put on the wrong locations, or other actions by the people, without causing any damage.

Except when there is an imbalance in nature that may be caused as a result of human intervention, not to reproduce it in such great numbers that they will destroy their own environment. They will be in proportion to the risk to the continuation of life as we know it today.

They don’t know anything about the past or the future, and they will do their best to live in the moment, and they don’t make yourself sick with worry over the events of which they may not be able to change it.

They’re not looking for the answers to drugs , gambling, or other unhealthy addictions.

Except when they are closed, or are in non-natural conditions, they are not repulsively fat.

Each and every class, from the octopus, to the horse, is a very attractive age. They will give up their life for their descendants, as well as each individual species will make all reasonable efforts to ensure that their child has a healthy maturity. No one uses it or sells it , the joke , ridicule, or the like to starve on their own.

Many of them are beautiful. Irbis, horses, cheetahs, gazelles, hummingbirds, to start with. There is no doubt that the homo sapiens species may also have been a beautiful animal, but it is only in the prime of his life, and fitness. You just have to look around the mall to find out the truth about it.

I fully understand that the human race is one of nature’s extreme experiments, which do not work. The study shows that the danger of extinction is the fate of every kind. We can be our own death, to nature, to work, and I don’t think that’s the planet earth and the creatures that we have shared with the loss of his tears.

“IMPACT OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION ON HEALTH”

“IMPACT OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION ON HEALTH”

Environmental pollution is increasing day-by-day around the whole globe and people have to live in a toxic world in this 21st century. Environmental pollution is alarming for the whole world as it has the worst impact on health and it is the big reason for the spike in diseases like cancer, diabetes, heart disease and lung disease among the public. The harmful impact of environmental pollution on health will be discussed here.A report of the World Health Organization (WHO) says that 92% of the worldโ€™s population lives in polluted areas. Environmental pollution is directly effecting the children of such areas and they are at high risk. According to a report of UNICEF, around 600,000 children are dying annually due to diseases caused by air pollution that is the most common type of environmental pollution.Environmental pollution is causing various types of diseases and defects in the human body. Moreover, the most common pollutants in the environment like sulfur dioxide (SO2), ozone (O3), carbon di and monoxide (CO2 & CO), heavy metals, nitrogen oxides (NOx), etc. are causing various diseases like respiratory disorders, heart stroke, mental disorders, etc..When a human takes a breath in the air, the person inhales various chemicals that have a direct impact on health. Further, it increases the risk of asthma and respiratory diseases as respiration is the main function of the body to live. Also, evidence of scientific research shows that Ozone in the air affects the functioning of the lungs in the human body. Therefore, due to the negative effects on the lungs, people suffer from respiratory inflammation.People living in the polluted area are the victim of cancer mostly. As most of the regions are polluted with industrial smoke, coal smoke, fire smoke, and vehicle smoke. Additionally, cancer is also caused by indoor items and office materials. These indoor items are paints, carpets, Split AC, air freshness, stabilizers, and sterilizers. Not only this, but the existence of the organic compounds in the environment is also causing cancer.Environmental pollution is directly affecting the heart. Therefore, the ratio of heart stroke and diseases are increasing. People of the polluted areas are at high risk of high blood pressure and damaged blood vessel functioning. Also, some pollutants like Ozone affects lung nerves that causes an irregular heart rate.More than the above, environmental pollution is also causing wheezing and coughing in people. Also, environmental pollution harms the immune systems of the body. Therefore, the human body will not able to do the daily activities of life with proper health. The impact of environmental pollution on health is not limited as air pollution is the main source that causes insulin resistance and which leads to the occurrence of diabetes in the human body. Many people are also associated with autoimmune diseases due to environmental pollution. Also, chemicals like CO, NO2, O3 in the air are also causing mood disorders. Even, it causes the arising of the symptoms of the migraine and headache. “SOCIAL MEDIA EFFECTS ON THE YOUTH”

“SOCIAL MEDIA EFFECTS ON THE YOUTH”

Social media is extensively used by youth approximately around the clock in 2020 and the social media effects are damaging their physical and mental health. These days, people have become slaves by the hands of social media. Their days and nights are incomplete without the usage of Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Snapchat, and many other social media platforms. 80 percent of youth use social media throughout the day and night. Even a large number of adults have started using WhatsApp, Youtube, and Facebook. But this addiction also has harmful consequences that people seem to have traded off for the pleasure they get from social media use. Social media effects like stress, depression, weight problems, and poor mental health are the core problems that can not be simply ignored. The irony behind social media platforms is that those applications were developed to lessen the distance among your loved ones but instead, these platforms are adding more distances. People, especially young people have started using social media and have forgotten physical meetings and interactions altogether. They keep on using their computer devices and keep on updating their life stories with social media friends by ignoring the blood relationships sitting right in front of them.More than 75 percent of teenagers less than 20 years old, the millenniums, are highly indulged in using social media platforms that they have become fully addicted to. Their life is reduced to taking and uploading updates every minute as stories on different platforms. They are in a run to grasp as much attention as they can and keep getting more and more likes and comments. It gives them satisfaction. Moreover, social media users are always in search of events to get tagged in. Then comes the fear of getting block by someone.Everybody is in a rush to outpace each other to become an influencer. Youtubing is now a verb, YouTuber a profession and uploading vlogs of daily life has taken the place of a job now. Social media is drastically changing every day. After Facebook, all the teenagers headed for Snapchat, and Instagram and now everyone is rushing to the platform of TikTok. People are tying to show their acting skills, they are doing makeup tutorials, they are doing brand advertisement and you name it. They feel stressed if they do not get likes and sharings. They feel stressed if someone else gets more views than them.Social media platforms were made to make costumers aware to seek information and to communicate with people far from them and to do business. But instead too much clinging onto phones is leading to many mental and health problems. A well-read psychiatrist always recommends spending time with nature and with your loved ones. Nature is the utmost source to shed stress, tension, anxiety or depression. But what people do these days? They visit natural places with their loved ones and take tons of pictures, record videos with their loved ones and upload them to social media platforms. They keep on checking their likes and comments on those pictures or videos to satisfy their soul. But ultimately, they destroy their mental peace.

The importance of history

We from our childhood are given a name, we as we study along and get educated, we collect certificates, participate in competitions, compete for rank, give speeches , excel in sports and exams, and so on, all this time we are creating an unique identity. Every step of our life we are contributing to make our own unique identity, trying to be something different, trying to mark our mark, trying to create a legacy, each and everyone’s different in its own way. From the laziest to the most energetic, form the dorkiest to the smartest, from the strongest to the most disciplined, from a Romeo to any geek, from a child to a teen to a young grown up to a middle aged person to a old man, that is what everyone strives for subconsciously.ย

What is history ?

History is what we came from and is often why we think and act in a certain way.We will frame our very lives in the paths travelled by our relatives and their actions. As the saying goes, โ€œ to understand what is, one must understand what wasโ€.

What history has is the goal of tracing narratives of past events, and analyzing the patterns that emerge as a way to provide perspective on our past.

History is wonderful and should be studied and therefore understood.

It can be studied at different levels and is just full of great adventures.

– food – countries – trains – religion – art – medicine – architecture – fashion.

Why is history important?

The same reason that personal memory matters. If you didn’t know what you had done in the past, he would have no meaningful identity as a person. History is to civilization what memory is to individuals.

Aa there is a saying which goes as :

History repeats itself. Who knows, what we learn right now about the past may come back to help us in the future!

In all cases, understanding History is integral to a good understanding of the condition of being human. That allows people to build, and, as may well be necessary, also to change, upon a secure foundation. Neither of these options can be undertaken well without understanding the context and starting points. All living people live in the here-and-now but it took a long unfolding history to get everything to NOW. And that history is located in time-space, which holds this cosmos together, and which frames both the past and the present.

Well, the truth of the matter is that history does repeat itself and it’s best to be prepared for it by knowing the outcomes of previous instances and being able to make educated decisions based off of these that will help to a greater degree in the long run.

It helps us solve whatever problems the future holds. So keep knowing about the history or the past before stepping to anything

Perspective towards the history

There are many different perspectives that explain Historyโ€™s existence.

History is older than any other form of โ€˜social studyโ€™ and existed way before there were academic institutions or an academic discipline associated to it. So, it seems it has been a social and cultural demand of various cultures (but not all of them), to understand their own selves in time. The narratives of origin gave a special meaning to particular groups and cultures. Something akin to mythological narratives, but with a claim to represent โ€˜what really happenedโ€™, based on testimonies and observations and making sense of where we came from. So, we come to a perspective very widespread in ancient times, that of History as a โ€˜master of lifeโ€™, a repository of experiences and deeds of great (and lesser) men, which could be used by those who read it (statesmen, generals, etc.) in order to learn from the mistakes and great achievements, morals and virtues of generations past. The past as a guide to future action.

Another perspective came with the need, analogous to the new modern sciences, of understanding the world in an objective scientific perspective. Because of the historical context in which that process happened i.e coinciding with the birth and consolidation of the modern nation-state, it was closely linked with the political, philosophical and ideological need to construct national identities, referred to historical narratives of national origins. The understanding of the past as scientific knowledge, not necessarily for any practical purpose. Later, History came to be seen, through another political and epistemological perspective, as a tool to understand the present, by means of understanding and explaining how political, social, economic and cultural processes evolved, from different past configurations. The study of the past as a method to understand the present.

Should history matter to us

Even if there is no true objectivity to one’s history, even if there is no real common interpretation of history, but the truth is we need to protect it for our relative objectivity and subjectivity both. At Least for this day in age of 21st century, ask not what is reality, ask how to protect our reality because once our reality is distorted either by lie or truth, identity is lost.

History makes future for us at the end of the day, what one did yesterday decides what happens today. What we do today, when today becomes yesterday, our those actions make the future. History is our child. We are creating history as we are living through the present. It is our legacy, it is our tomorrow’s myth and legend, history is us from once.

World Environment Day

We celebrate World Environment Day every year on 5th June to bring positive changes and enhance healthy ecosystems. The earth is what we all have in common. So, every year we celebrate this day to help nature in healing itself. Nature is our first mother. It gives us so much including food we eat, water we drink, the air we breathe and much more and in return we are harming our nature and eventually we are harming our livelihood. Nature doesnโ€™t need human but human will always need nature to sustain. If we possess healthy ecosystem then only, we can fight climate change and discontinue the ruining of biodiversity.

World Environment Day is celebrated globally to inspire people to change their lifestyle and take action to build a greener future. World Environment Day is worldwide initiative taken by United Nations (UN) to spread awareness. UN established Environment Day in 1972. World environment Day is celebrated by various host countries. It was first observed in 1974 in United States of America and the theme was โ€œOnly One Earthโ€.

United Nation has declared this decade as โ€œEcosystem Restorationโ€ decade. Ecosystem Restoration is a process of reversing the degradation of ecosystems, such as landscapes, oceans and lakes to regain their ecological functionality. Also, to increase the productivity and capacity of ecosystems to meet the societyโ€™s need.

Till 2030, the refurbishment of 350 million hectares of degraded terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems could generate US$9 trillion in ecosystem services. Restoration could also remove 13 to 26 gigatons of greenhouse gases from the atmosphere. All kinds of ecosystems can be restored, including forests, farmlands, cities, wetlands and oceans. Restoration initiatives can be launched by almost anyone, from governments and development agencies to businesses, societies and individuals. That is because the causes of degradation are many and varied, and can have an impact at different levels.

Every year World Environment Day is celebrated at various countries but officially it is hosted by one different country in which official celebrations takes place. The host for World Environment Day this year is Pakistan. Pakistan will highlight the importance of โ€œEcosystem Restorationโ€ this year. The theme for this year is โ€Reimagine. Recreate. Restoreโ€. The Government of Pakistan plans to develop and restore the countryโ€™s forests through a โ€˜10 Billion Tree Tsunamiโ€˜ campaign spread over five years. The campaign includes restoring mangroves and forests, as well as planting trees in urban settings, including schools, colleges, public parks and green belts.

Through the 10 Billion Tree Tsunami, Pakistan is contributing to theย Bonn Challenge, a global effort linked to the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. Under the challenge, countries are pledging to bring 350 million hectares of the worldโ€™s deforested and degraded land into restoration by 2030.

Hereโ€™s what you can do to contribute:

  • Plant more trees.
  • Segregate your waste into wet waste and dry waste
  • Follow the 5Rโ€™s โ€“ Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Renew, Recycle
  • Travel by Public Transport
  • Spread Awareness about Environment
  • Conserve water. Implement Rain water Harvesting
  • Avoid using plastic
  • Save Electricity
  • Use art as a way to spread the message.

Things to do in a lockdown

One should not waste their time in this lockdown. We have to learn new things to keep ourselves updated. Because when we sit for a long period of time without learning any new things our brain will automatically forget things and will become even lazier.

1. Learn a new skill. There are lots of online platforms to learn new skills. Some are available for free and some are paid. If you don’t like to spend your money and at the same time want to learn something creative you can choose YouTube to learn new skills. If you want to learn a new course for free you can learn it from Udemy, Coursera, and Great Learning. But, for Coursera only some guided projects are free. If you want to learn other courses for free you can apply for the financial aid program.

2. Read lots of books. Trust me the best way to kill lockdown is by reading books. There are lots of books for beginners to read. If you are a beginner and want to read books you can check on the internet to find the books for beginners and lots of search results will pop out. Pick out the one you like by reading the reviews. You don’t need to buy books from the bookshop. You can read it from your phone using the Amazon Kindle app. The best thing about the Kindle app is lots of options to explore. And the price is so less compared to the paperback. Hardcovers are so cheap and you can but with one click by making the payment.

3. Learn new crafts and decorate your house. How many of you know that we can make some amazing crafts using Pista shells? Yes, Pista shells are used to make a wide variety of crafts. You can easily choose from Youtube. Start by making simple projects and decorate your house with your creativity.

4. Help your parents if you are a teenager. Because teenagers often spend their time on social media rather than learning something useful. If you help your parents you can interact with them and you will be able to spend more time with them. It is a great stress buster from this busy life.

5. If you are a student and want to do something creative and want to gain experience and knowledge you can do internships. Internships are so important for college students. Because nowadays companies are expecting freshers to have some experience. There are various sites to apply for internships. One of the good platforms to apply for an internship is Internshal. It is a completely free website where thousands of os companies post internships each day and you can find internships according to your niche and interest.

6. Play games as a family. Family games are so cool and it is a good thing to interact with your family members and you can learn good things from elders. They will share their life experiences. If you have any difficulties you can share them with them and they will give you a good solution based on their experience.

7. Have a family dinner daily. Having a family dinner is pure bliss. It is a complete pack of joy. Ask your children to help you in setting up the table and after eating ask them to wash the dishes. Make them engaged in some kind of work so that they will learn the values of eating dinner with you and it is the best place for them to open up things in front of you.

8. Do some exercises. It can be walking on your terrace or doing some yoga. Because staying indoors will lead to an increase in weight. Also, doing exercises is good for our mental health.

Indulging ourselves in these kinds of activities will help us to maintain a healthy relationship without getting bored.

Importance of Training and Internship

An Internship is one that enables you to gain some hands-on experience and you will be paid for your work. Sometimes it can be an unpaid internship. But the goodness in unpaid internships is you can get work experience and sometimes the company might provide you a Letter of  Recommendation based on your work. It would be really helpful for your future interviews. Nowadays, companies are expecting freshers to have some job experience. Doing an internship is a plus to your career.

The internship is an opportunity to learn more about yourself, It is a good place to explore your skills, strengths, and weaknesses. You will be able to learn from the workplace. Their ways of problem-solving, generating leads, and approaching people are the top skills and you will get a good overview from them. We have to work as a shadow of our team leader so that we can get all the inputs from that person which we can use in our future work. Only when we work on an internship we will be able to figure out what we like, what we don’t like, the places and areas we need to improve all these things can be learned.

On-the-job training is also an important part of your career. It is the main area to explore the facts and our duties towards the work. One main part of securing an internship in a good company is to have a good experience which should be added to your Resume. Our Resume should be captivating enough so that we can be shortlisted in the company and the company can call for our second round. There are also companies that ask for our Portfolio. For example, if we apply for a Content Writing internship the first thing the company will look for you is some experience or your work samples. We can make a portfolio of our projects or can create a new blog and posting engaging content in various niches. It will increase your chances of getting selected.

Be it paid or unpaid, doing an internship is an important thing in everyone’s life. After the successful completion of our internship, the employer will give feedback about your work and the places that are needed to be improved. Getting feedback from an experienced person is an added advantage and it is the best thing to improve your insight and skills.

We can use online platforms to apply for internships. The best platform to happy for an internship is Internshala where one can find a wide variety of internships on their interests. If you are not applying for work from home and instead of applying for an in-office internship you will be able to learn more about the travel experience. The hilarious thing about in-office internships is Office Politics. Office politics include gossips, the behavior of the people, and their attitude. One good thing about internships is you can make some new friends and can learn many things from them. Internships also help you to find your new interests. Interests need not be your usual ones. When you do internships you can explore your interests in other niches as well.

One of the things you need to keep in your mind while applying for internships is a good resume. The exact reason behind why you are applying for an internship at their company. Online courses done by you should also be added as it will catch their mind but please mention if you really did those courses. If they find out during the interview it will create a bad impression on you and will decrease your chances of getting selected. And your time of availability. These things will increase your chances of getting hired at their company.

Top Five must read Ray Bradbury books.

To open the pages of a Ray Bradbury novel is to enter an imagination that has travelled far beyond the bounds of our rocky globe, into the most fascinating and perplexing realms of human life.

Bradbury had a productive career as one of America’s most successful novelists, short storey writers, playwrights, and screenwriters, best known for his works Fahrenheit 451 and The Martian Chronicles. Bradbury, in a strange blend of the futuristic, the spooky, the bizarre, and the nostalgic, could be considered a genre unto himself. Bradbury was a Renaissance writer if there ever was one.

It’s hard to think this isn’t a scenario from one of Bradbury’s books because his writing career began in such a magical way. When he met Mr Electrico at a carnival when he was twelve years old, he was taken around a tent of misfits that would later stalk the pages of his most morbid books. Mr Electrico touched Ray with an electrified sword later that day and whispered to him, “Live forever.”

And Bradbury took Mr. Electro’s vow to heart, writing every day for more than seventy years, establishing a literary legacy that will live on in perpetuity, employing his prodigious storytelling abilities to craft tales that have enthralled millions of readers and inspired a slew of imitators.

He said that he was neither a science fiction, fantasy, or magical realism author, but rather a word magician who was written by his books.

It’s impossible to choose a Top Five list from Bradbury’s seemingly endless works, therefore this will be a list of my favourites and recommended must-reads.

A Ray Bradbury Top Five must-read list must include the following, in no particular order.

1. The Illustrated Man (1951)

The Illustrated Man โ€” a former carnival worker whose crawling tattoos spun stories of dread and delight โ€” weaves together a series of short stories in this dark and wonderful novel.

Several stories are connected to The Martian Chronicles, and many of them resemble Bradbury’s early futuristic work, such as “The Veldt,” a cautionary storey set in a children’s nursery that conjures up the contents of the imagination. When the children’s parents consider shutting off the nursery, they discover that virtual reality has become all too real, and “Kaleidoscope,” in which an accident rips open a starship and spews its space-suited crew into space, where they meet a variety of ends. This narrative is so amazing that I read it at least twice a year to see how a master works.

Exploring this live canvas with Bradbury as your guide becomes a riveting investigation of the human condition, putting The Illustrated Man among the best Ray Bradbury books.

2. Fahrenheit 451 (1953)

Guy Montag, a fireman in a dystopian society where books are forbidden and most people spend their days in front of television screens, doesn’t put out fires; he causes them. Montag is assigned by the authorities to burn forbidden publications that promote free and complex thought, and he works diligently to complete his task. That is, until he meets Clarisse, a lone late-night pedestrian who reawakens Montag’s awareness of his surroundings. Montag begins to have doubts about his technology-dependent civilization and attempts to save the secret realm of printed knowledge that still exists.

Bradbury was inspired to create this grim essay on a post-literature future by the Red Scare of the 1940s, which saw America seized by anti-communist hysteria. While Fahrenheit 451 may be a parable about McCarthyism and Stalinism, Bradbury’s warnings about the pitfalls of political correctness and technological advancements appear to be becoming increasingly prescient.

This short novel, based on his short tale “The Fireman,” is perhaps most recognised for the Francois Truffaut film starring Oscar Werner and Julie Christie. And if that’s the case, people are missing out on a classic science fiction storey with a chilling Orwellian theme. Read the book and watch the movie. Fahrenheit 451 serves as a admonitory tale.

3.  The Martian Chronicles (1950)

The heat from the rocket burns blazes through an Ohio winter in January 1999, as pioneers depart Earth for Mars. In this superb epic about the colonisation of a new frontier in space, waves of settlement missions land on Mars until the planet’s cities are nearly destroyed. Things take a turn when humankind is on the verge of extinction on Earth, and the survivors seek refuge on the planet they once exploited, now a barren wasteland.

Mars and the ethereal Martians are fanciful imagination in Bradbury’s hands. Despite the fact that he eschewed the hard scientific truths of regulated science fiction writers and preferred old technology to modern โ€” bicycles over cars, typewriters over computers – he possessed a remarkable foresight into the future. Bradbury utilises the unusual light of an alien world to question humanity’s constant avarice in The Martian Chronicles, which might be interpreted as a mirror of postwar life in the Midwest. He reminds us that technical growth is only worthwhile if it improves our lives.

Rather than sticking to science fiction conventions, each chapter is an experiment in style and atmosphere. It does, however, take place on Mars, but it is the Mars of Edgar Rice Burrows and Barsoom, not the world we know from various landers and orbital photographic surveys. In Bradbury’s universe, Martians exist, and when Earthlings come, all hell breaks loose, albeit in a calm, retrospective, and masterfully portrayed manner

The text alone in The Martian Chronicles is worth reading; from “The Off Season”: “The wind threw the sand ship keening across the empty sea floor, past upturned pillars, past derelict marble and brass docks, past dead white chess cities, past purple slopes, into the distant…”

4. The October Country (1955)

Despite his fame as the author of the book-burning apocalyptic classic Fahrenheit 451, Bradbury was first and foremost a short-story writer. Dark Carnival, a collection of weird and melancholy stories published in 1947, was his first book. He trimmed, altered, and expanded to this collection eight years later to create The October Country, his ultimate tome of the macabre and bizarre.

Such classics as The Small Assassin, Skeleton, and The Wind, among its lovely bits of autumnal sweets, upend the familiar, creating a world where the mundane is exotic and terrifying. Bradbury’s horror stories aren’t surprising or exciting. It’s the terror of realising that something inside you is out to get you, whether it’s an unborn child or a pile of bones. It’s the terror of living in a world where the winds are conspiring to bring you down. But, though Bradbury avoids gore and the stock creatures of spooky literature, I defy you not to feel a shiver running down your spine as you read The October Country on a dark and stormy night.

5. The Golden Apples of the Sun(1953)

Bradbury abandoned frame narratives for his fourth โ€˜fix-up’ of short stories and simply juxtaposed tales from a variety of genres. The result is a stunning fusion of his familiar, wistful fantasy, such as “The April Witch,” a haunting tale about a teenage dream-traveler yearning to fall in love, and visionary science fiction, such as the title storey, a terrifying yet beautiful description of a spaceship’s flight into the Sun’s atmosphere.

A seemingly uninteresting storey is tucked within amidst these treats. The film “The Pedestrian” is about a man who enjoys getting out of the house and going for a walk. In a nod to Fahrenheit 451, this society is one in which individuals are cooped up in their homes, engrossed in television โ€” and going for a walk results in arrest. Bradbury warns that technology progress can steal people of their humanity and enforce adherence to the current quo by depicting neighbourhoods as graveyards and people as mindless insects.

A fascinating account of a spaceship’s journey into the Sun’s atmosphere in order to sample some of its composition. Scientifically improbable, but a masterwork of heat, terror, and beauty in Bradbury’s hands. It’s also the title storey in a wonderful anthology of 22 pieces, including “The Fog Horn” and “A Sound of Thunder,” which are both classics.

Happy reading guys.

SAFFRON-THE MOST EXPENSIVE SPICE IN THE WORLD

Saffron as everyone knows, is an amazing spice used in various cuisines just for its certain flavour, fragrance or natural food colouring. But have you ever wondered why is it so costly? It is a luxury to just buy a few quantities of saffron because just a few strands are quite costly and not all are able to afford to buy it. During various periods, saffron was considered equivalent to commodities like gold. Iran is the major producer of this spice manufacturing about 90% of world saffron. Countries like India, Italy, Spain, United Arab Emirates and China etc. are also producers contributing about 10% of total saffron produced in the world. I’ve mostly seen saffron being used in sweets giving it a beautiful golden colour which leaves us mouth watering. It is also being used in very little quantities. Is it due to its cost or does it have an impact on health when used in large quantities?

The reason behind is exorbitant price is due the difficult growing process. Saffron is a spice derived from the flower of Crocus sativus. The stigmas of the flowers ( called threads ) are dried and are used to make saffron. But this step is not quite easy. Farmers must harvest the delicate threads by hand. Thus this needs a lot of labour work and is hence quite expensive. Also another factor contributing to its cost is the huge land area needed to cultivate the flowers and it takes 75,000 flowers just to make a pound of saffron. Under specific conditions, like well-drained and rich soil, it blossoms just a week in an year. One side being used in cooking, on the other side, it also has some medicinal properties. Saffron is filled with antioxidants.

USES OR BENEFITS

Saffron has many uses such as

  • Providing antioxidants such as crocin, picrocrocin and safranal which helps to guard a person’s health.
  • Saffron is a good medicine to boost the mood of a person who is especially in depression. Saffron extract along with antidepressants have shown good results in improving the symptoms of depression patients.
  • Saffron is also used to treat Alzheimer disease. Taking a specific saffron extract for 22 weeks can improve the symptoms of the disease.
  • Saffron is also used to treat anxiety. However saffron is not useful to treat say, anxiety and depression at the same time.
  • There is also some evidence that it helps promote weight loss.
  • Also heals complexities

RISKS OR SIDE EFFECTS OF SAFFRON

Anything that is taken in more quantities than what is prescribed can lead to ruin. Saffron also contains some risks. High doses of about 5 grams or more can cause poisoning. Doses of about12-20 grams can cause death. Allergic reactions can occur in some individuals when consumed.

FAKE SAFFRONS

Since it is well known that saffron is very expensive, some people indulge in frauds by selling fake saffron because it is easy to make huge money. Corn husk is one of the items that is used to make fake threads. The original and fake look exactly same so how can we ensure we buy the original one? One way is to buy it from a trustworthy or known seller. The other way is to test its purity. Add some saffron threads into water and wait for sometime. The original threads will colour the water and still look the same. If it fake, the threads would either look faded or totally lose its colour.

ARTICLE ON Editorial NEWS:

INTRODUCTION:

An editorial, leading article (US) or leader (UK), is an article written by the senior editorial people or publisher of a newspaper, magazine, or any other written document, often unsigned.A good editorial should express an opinion without being opinionated. It should teach without being pedagogic. โ€ฆ The last, and probably most important, a good editorial should be brief. An article about a good editorial should also, if possible, be brief.

CONTENT:

An editorial is an article written by or under the direction of the editor of a newspaper or magazine, or a statement broadcast on radio or television. Editorials give opinions on important social, political, economic, or legal issues of the day and intend to persuade readers to agree to a particular point of view.In short: Editorial content is content that is not explicitly aimed at selling something. It can still be a powerful tool for generating brand awareness and sales, however. What Is Editorial Style? Editorial style is commonly confused with writing style. morocco Spain migrant crisis

King Muhammad of Morocco weaponises migration | The Economist

Recently Spain accused morocco of “blackmail” over the Ceuta migrant surge and issues between Morocco and Spain is increasing as every day passes and could result in a diplomatic crisis between both countries. This issue caught headlines when 8000 people started migrating towards Ceuta.

where is Ceuta?

Melilla | Facts, Points of Interest, & Map | Britannica

Ceuta is a coastal city in North Africa that belongs to Spain which also shares a border with morocco. Ceuta has become a flashpoint for migrants from Morocco seeking to enter Europe. Last year around 2200 seek shelter in Ceuta. Ceuta has a population of 85000 and is connected to mainland Spain through ferry services.

How it all started?

Brahim Ghali

When Morocco captured a huge land of western Sahara after a war in 1975 that made its neighbours mainly Algeria, Libya angry and they showed protest against morocco over this invasion. Since then there has been a conflict, neighbouring countries raised a libration group in western Sahara aimed to make Sahara independent from morocco and because of this morocco government is facing difficulty in administering Western Sahara.

The main reason for recent friction between both countries is Western Sahara. What happened is that the leader of the Polisario Front ( liberation group in western Sahara), Brahim Ghali was admitted to a hospital in Spain for his treatment of covid, which made morocco very angry because Brahim Ghali is the reason behind instability in western Sahara and also the one who is leading a libration group in Sahara.

Morocco expressed its anger by threatening Spain of consequences if Spain let Brahim Ghali get treatment in a hospital in Spain. For which Spain replied that “we support you on western Sahara issue but we cannot deny treatment to Brahim Ghali”. When Spain didn’t listen to the government of morocco then morocco decided to open its borders and allow the migrants who want to leave morocco, to seek refuge in Europe. The main strategy of morocco was to let a huge number of people enter Spain through Ceuta and create a refugee crisis in Spain.

It can be said that one man Brahim Ghali, unknowingly, has created a refugee crisis between morocco and spain.

Stance of Spain

Spain has accused morocco of wanting to create a refugee crisis in their country and also blamed them for wanting to collapse the economy of Spain. Spain is not ready to take such a huge number of migrants into their country but has offered some of the migrant’s shelters. European Union has also expressed its concern regarding this crisis and also said it’s not possible to absorb such a huge amount of migrants in this time of the pandemic. Spain has also threatened morocco with military action if they continued to send migrants in huge numbers.

condition of migrants

EXPLAINER: Spain's migrant crisis in North Africa- The New Indian Express

Now because of the tension between the two countries, poor migrants who only want a place to live are being used as pawns for blaming each other by the two countries neither of them is willing to take them in. These migrants do not have a place to sleep and food to eat. This situation is the worst example of the condition of refugees of the whole world.

This whole crisis can end if both the countries show a little humanity for the migrants and handle this situation maturely.

NATURE IS THE BEST TEACHER

“NATURE IS THE BEST TEACHER” it gives us everything but we humans forget to take care of it and we destroy it. Nature gives us fresh air which is important to everyone in our life. But we pollute it by means of transport, industrialization etc… We should try our best to avoid it and keep our surrounding clean and hygiene so that we can save our life as well as nature. We should start the change within ourselves so that others will follow it.

When we preserve our nature it will keep us safe and healthy. No harm or disease will spread when we take care of it . When we take care of our nature it will take care of us Due to pollution many gets affected due to harmful disease.
Air pollution,Water pollution affects nature and our world. We should avoid that so that we can live a life where there is no harm to our life and our world. We should use vehicles only when they are in use so that we can reduce pollution and we can breath good air instead of polluted air. We should plant saplings everywhere and make our mother earth fresh. “COLORS ARE THE SMILE OF NATURE”
In these days we should take care of ourselves because of the covid virus. Many died because of insufficient oxygen in their body and our country is out of oxygen cylinders. We should do what maintains our oxygen level and we get oxygen from trees so we should plant trees and save our life’s in future. We should wash our hands and wear masks whenever we go out. So that we can escape from the corona virus. We should stay safe and stay healthy.
โ€œgreenโ€ environmentโ€”one with trees and leaves. Most of the studies say that kids who play outside are smarter, happier, more attentive, and less anxious than kids who spend more time indoors.
It builds confidence-There are infinite ways to interact with outdoor environments, from the backyard to the park or lake, and letting your child choose how he treats nature means he has the power to control his own actions.
It promotes creativity and imagination- This unstructured style of play also allows kids to interact meaningfully with their surroundings. They can think more freely, design their own activities, and approach the world in inventive ways.
It teaches responsibility-Living things die if mistreated or not taken care of properly, and entrusting a child to take care of the living parts of their environment means theyโ€™ll learn what happens when they forget to water a plant, or pull a flower out by its roots.
It makes them think- Louv says that nature creates a unique sense of wonder for kids that no other environment can provide. The phenomena that occur naturally in backyards and parks everyday make kids ask questions about the earth and the life that it supports.
It reduces stress and their mind will be free.According to the Attention Restoration Theory, urban environments require whatโ€™s called directed attention, which forces us to ignore distractions and exhausts our brains. In natural environments, we practice an effortless type of attention known as soft fascination that creates feelings of pleasure, not fatigue.
