Struggles of being the ‘Weird One’

If there was a ratio analysis between a normal mundane and the ‘Weird one’, what would it be? Some would say it is half of the other or some would find being weird as abnormal, so naturally the count for the abnormal or the ‘weird one’ would be more. Because everyone in this world is weird in their way. Being weird is not being abnormal. It is being the most random version of yourself. To you, it would be something you do in your everyday life, whether it is biting the end of a pencil or singing and using your hairbrush as a mic. It is the perspective of the other that makes you weird. The other person would look at your pencil and would probably not use it thinking ‘what a weird person would do something like this, or someone would walk in your room while you are singing with your hairbrush and judge you by calling you a ‘weirdo’. That’s when you realize I am the weird one.

The struggles of being the weird one is nothing but a simple complexity of your own doing. Being weird is the new normal. It is good to be a different person; a unique idea that makes you stand out in the crowd. But that’s when the word ‘weird’ gets you thinking. Not being weird is a task that you hold every day. It is difficult for the weird one to not get judged. People judge and criticize those but do not think that they too have the struggles of being the weird one.

Everyone has their own battle that they have to face, their own obstacles they have to overcome. In such times being weird is the only sane way out. Whether it is using your signature dance moves which only you can do or if it is reading the spoiler of the book before reading it entirely. That is the hit you get by considering weirdness. Sometimes or for some people most of the time being the weird one is a compliment. It is what makes them different from other human beings or even aliens for that matter. The most interesting fact about being weird is that it is original. It comes from within a human, it is not made up to live up to anybody’s expectations. It is yours and yours to keep. Every individual has their weird abilities and they have full copyright to let them be theirs.

So to all the weird ones out there, be whatever you want to be. Be the weird neighbor who listens to old classical music. Be the one who moonwalks but not in reverse. Be the one who wears unmatched outfits to their office. Be the weird one because the struggles of being a weirdo are not much as they seem. They are just mere distractions to not being yourself. The struggles of being the weird one are not just struggles, they are trophies of being the best version of yourself.

WHERE IS YOUR WILL TO BE WEIRD?

Entrepreneurship

We often hear that so and so is an entrepreneur who has started his or her own business. It is also the case that when we hear the term entrepreneur, we tend to associate it with a person who has or is starting their own ventures or in other words, striking it on their own. This is indeed the case as the formal definition of Entrepreneurship is that it is the process of starting a business or an organization for profit or for social needs. We have used the phrase for profit or for social needs to delineate and separate the commercial entrepreneurship from social and charitable entrepreneurship. After defining entrepreneurship, it is now time to define who an entrepreneur is and what he or she does.

An entrepreneur is someone who develops a business model, acquires the necessary physical and human capital to start a new venture, and operationalizes it and is responsible for its success or failure. Note the emphasis of the phrase responsible for success or failure as the entrepreneur is distinct from the professional manager in the sense that the former either invests his or her own resources or raises capital from external sources and thus takes the blame for the failure as well as reaps the rewards in case of success whereas the latter or the professional manager does the job and the work assigned to him or her for a monetary consideration. In other words, the entrepreneur is the risk taker and an innovator in addition to being a creator of new enterprises whereas the professional manager is simply the executor.

Attributes of Entrepreneurs

Moving to the skills and capabilities that an entrepreneur needs to have, first and foremost, he or she has to be an innovator who has a game changing idea or a potentially new concept that can succeed in the crowded marketplace. Note that investors usually tend to invest in ideas and concepts which they feel would generate adequate returns for their capital and investments and hence, the entrepreneur needs to have a truly innovative idea for a new venture.

Leadership Qualities
Apart from this, the entrepreneur needs to have excellent organizational and people management skills as he or she has to build the organization or the venture from scratch and has to bond with his or her employees as well as vibe well with the other stakeholders to ensure success of the venture.

Further, the entrepreneur needs to be a leader who can inspire his or her employees as well as be a visionary and a person with a sense of mission as it is important that the entrepreneur motivates and drives the venture. This means that leadership, values, team building skills, and managerial abilities are the key skills and attributes that an entrepreneur needs to have.

Creative Destruction and Entrepreneurship

We often hear the term creative destruction being spoken about when talking about how some companies fade away whereas others succeed as well as maintain their leadership position in the marketplace. Creative destruction refers to the replacement of inferior products and companies by more efficient, innovative, and creative ones wherein the capitalist market based ecosystem ensures that only the best and brightest survive whereas others are blown away by the gales of creative destruction. In other words, entrepreneurs with game changing ideas and the skills and attributes that are needed to succeed ensure that their products, brands, and ventures take market share away from existing companies that are either not creating values or are simply inefficient and stuck in a time warp wherein they are unable to see the writing on the wall. Therefore, this process of destroying the old and the inefficient through newer and creative ideas is referred to as creative destruction which is often what the entrepreneur does when he or she launches a new venture.

Some Famous Entrepreneurs

Given this basic introduction to entrepreneurship, we can now turn to some famous examples of entrepreneurs who have succeeded despite heavy odds because they had game changing ideas and more importantly, they also had the necessary traits and skills that would make them legendary. For instance, both the founder of Microsoft, Bill Gates, and the late Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, were college dropouts though their eventual success meant that they had not only truly innovative ideas, but they were also ready to strike it out for the longer term and hang on when the going got tough. Even the founder of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg, as well as Google’s Larry Paige and Sergey Brian can be considered as truly revolutionary entrepreneurs. What all these legends have in common is that they had the vision and the sense of mission that they were going to change the world and with hard work, perseverance, and a nurturing ecosystem, they were able to self actualizes themselves.

Hyperthyroidism Awareness

It is important to remember that hyperthyroidism can occur at any age. While most may present with a rather typical constellation of symptoms, many may present with exacerbation of pre-existing conditions which may make the diagnosis initially elusive. Worsening anxiety, insomnia, fatigue, panic attacks, palpitations, hypertension or diarrhea may not initially signal that the thyroid is involved. Clinicians must have a low threshold to check thyroid function early to rule out a component of hyperthyroidism.

Once a suppressed thyrotropin (TSH) has been detected, further investigation with serum triiodothyronine (T3) and free thyroxine (free T4) can help delineate overt from subclinical disease. A thorough history of past thyroid disease, as well as current medications and supplements, can help detect any pre-existing diagnoses or exogenous sources of thyroid hormone or over supplementation with iodine. More commonly, hyperthyroidism is due to either Graves diseasetoxic multinodular goiter or toxic adenoma. Distinction between these can usually be made with the assistance of a thyroid uptake scan, TSH receptor antibody measurement, and thyroid ultrasound. An additional physical exam finding of exophthalmos can further support the diagnosis of Graves’ disease. Understanding the etiology can help guide patient expectations. A small percentage of patients with Graves’ Disease may undergo spontaneous remission after 1 to 2 years, which may prompt patients to wait before considering a definitive treatment option.

With confirmation of the diagnosis of hyperthyroidism, focus is on hormonal control with an antithyroid medication (ATM, most commonly Methimazole in the United States). This may be augmented with beta-blockade, steroids, cholestyramine or SSKI for those who are difficult to control.

Many patients may need further consideration for definitive management with either radioactive iodine ablation (RAI) or thyroidectomy. Your local resources may also influence these options, but it is critical to understand that all three treatments (ATM, RAI and thyroidectomy) are possible options. Certain patient factors and priorities may alter the preferred definitive treatment. Smaller gland size, easy to control hormones, and lack of eye symptoms are factors that may favor continued ATM management. A large goiter with compressive symptoms, difficult to control hormones requiring high dose medications/ multiple modalities, pregnancy, severe eye disease, multiple nodules within the thyroid with or without thyroid cancer, or desire for rapid and reliable hormone control may favor thyroidectomy. RAI is a good option for patients with a smaller gland size, and a desire to pursue definitive management but avoid surgery.

There are also relative contraindications for treatment options. ATMs may have serious side effects, like agranulocytosis or liver failure, which prevent further use, or may cause skin eruptions making long term use intolerable. Additionally, high dose requirements or fluctuating doses may make long term use of ATMs not reliable. Women who are pregnant, wanting to become pregnant in the next 6 months to 1 year, breast feeding or have small children in the home will want to avoid RAI. Patients with severe eye involvement, have a large goiter with compressive symptoms, or are smokers should also avoid RAI. Thyroidectomy will be a poor option for patients with multiple previous neck operations on or around the thyroid due to internal scarring, or who are high risk for general anesthesia. Additionally, if they have a history of previous gastric bypass surgery, they are higher risk for major complications from hypocalcemia/hypoparathyroidism after thyroidectomy.

To help the patient navigate these decisions, it is important to allow them the opportunity to discuss each treatment option with respective physician experts – medical management with endocrinology, RAI with endocrinology and potentially nuclear medicine as well, and thyroidectomy with the thyroid surgeon.

In summary, patients with hyperthyroidism require medical control, as well as a clear understanding of the etiology of their hyperthyroidism. Patients with Graves disease, toxic multinodular goiter and toxic adenoma have more than one treatment option, and it is important for patients to be educated and engaged in treatment decisions.

Self care is not selfish thing

Often times, when we do something for ourselves, it is considered selfish. Growing up it is common to be taught to take care of other people and put others first. However, when it comes to our mental and emotional health, these types of actions of neglecting yourself to put others first can have huge consequences.

Self-care can be confusing and it can make you feel like you are putting too much attention on yourself. But remember, self-care never has and never will be selfish, especially when it comes to mental health.

In order to take care of other people, you must take care of yourself first.

Why Self-Care is Important

Self-Care is one of the most important things that a person can do for themselves. It is not only vital for your physical health, but also your emotional and mental health as well.

There are many misconceptions around self-care and what exactly it entails. However, self-care is really not that complicated. At the most basic level,

self-care is just doing good things for yourself. This could be anything from working out, to taking an hour every night to journal, anything that makes you feel good.

Self-care requires you to know and understand yourself. You are forced to listen to your body and mind, understand what resources are running low and what you have to do to replenish them.

There are many benefits that come with performing self-care. Some of them include increased productivity, improved resistance to illnesses & better physical health are just a few. These benefits are just the beginning.  Some of the other, more personal benefits are, enhanced self-esteem, increased self-knowledge, and most importantly, you have more to give to other people.

When you are mindful about reguarily carving out time for yourself and making sure that your physical, emotional, and mental needs are being met, you will feel better in all aspects of your life.

This makes it easier for you to work with and help others in their time of need. Just like when you are on an airplane, you have to take care of yourself before you can help anyone else.

Stigma Around Self-Care

Self-care can be hard, not only because of the stigma that surrounds it, but because it can be extremely difficult to admit that you need help or to take care of yourself when you are struggling with your own mental health.

Growing up, it is extremely common to hear that you should put others before yourself. Kids are taught that being too vain or thinking about yourself is selfish. When you take time to take care of yourself, friends and family may start to get frustrated or say that you need to spend more time thinking about others and spending time with them.

Read also: We need support, not stigma. How do we end the stigma around mental illness and start talking about it?

However, the worst stigma, is self-stigma. The voice in your head that tells you to stop focusing on yourself, saying that you don’t deserve the time or attention that you are giving yourself.

You start to think about all of the things that you are neglecting and the people who deserve your attention more. However, this self-stigma, and any outside stigma, is far from true.

By taking care of yourself you are making sure that you will be able to help and encourage others.

How you can Take Care of Yourself

Self-care can be difficult because of the stigma that comes with it. However, understanding how, and being able to take care of yourself is one of the strongest things that you can do.

It is also important to distinguish between the things that actually make you feel good and things that you think make you feel good, but often have the reverse effect, like drugs & alcohol, over-eating, and taking risks.

There are many different types of self-care; the most well-known is physical self-care. When people say that they are trying to take care of themselves this is often what they mean.

Physical self-care can be helpful not only for your physical health but also to help you let off steam. This doesn’t have to be going to the gym, it can also mean dancing around the house to your favorite song, doing yoga, or going outside and going for a walk. This could also be taking a nap when you need some extra rest or giving yourself a break when you are down or unwell.

However, while physical health is important and this type of self-care can make a huge difference, it can also be harmful to your mental health if you focus on your physical self too much and too often. Working out and getting the ‘perfect’ body isn’t what self-care is all about.

It is vital to remember the other parts of yourself that need to be taken care of, make sure that you aren’t focusing on the outer-self to avoid taking care of your inner-self.

Sensory self-care helps to calm the mind. This will help you to live in the moment, focus better, and let go of the past and forget your anxieties.

This type of self-care is all about sight, smell, touch, and sound. This could be considered sitting outside at the beach, enjoying the feeling of the water on your skin from a shower or a bath, or listening to calming music. Anything that helps you feel calm and relaxed.

Good and Bad effects of competition in Life

Winner Winner Confidence booster!

Get set go!! What do you make of that? If you think its competition, you are absolutely right! In Today’s fast moving life, this phrase makes sense most of the time in every field. Yes, competition, the act of trying tobwin or gain something by defeating others, is the policy we bear in mind in completing any task how much ever minute it may be.

One of the main advantages of competition is, it provides purpose and firmness to the mind. It gives us an impetus to pursue our goal, despite the difficulties that comes along the way. Here, ego also plays a major part as losing means one is inferior to the other. This might help in increasing confidence level. If its a challenge, why not gain the pleasure by surmounting it?

Even for a trifle task, one thinks that he must be the first one to finish it, thereby forcing each one to give their level best into it, yielding a better result altogether. This trait can be observed in children too. They try to compete in any task given to them and feel very good about themselves once they finish it. This simple instance shows the infuence of competition.

Now-a-days, children are very witty, which increases the level of competition. With numerous opportunities and resources come greater competition. This can be observed in various competitive exams. The cut off marks are such that, by a point difference people lose. This induces more stress in people which might be positive or negative, depending on each individual and circumtances.

Competition provides the opportunity to select the best among the bests. It is the best way to analyze ourselves and keep a track of where we stand among our peers. It also gives us chance to improve ourselves and achieve better when the next opportunity knocks our doors.

The monthly or annual exams students face is a trailor to the future competitions we might encounter. Many children as well as adults bear the opinion that exams are unnecessary and irrelevant. On the contrary, without a definite reason, it is highly unlikely that people learn what is to be learnt.

The importance of competition is such that we must always engage in improving ourselves to be on par with the bustling world. Only when we compare and compete with people, our areas of strength and weakness is revealed to us. This is help in finding direction to move forward in life.

Coming to the disadvantages, it depends on one’s mentality and view point. If one is pessimistic, the idea of competition might be discouraging to him. Whereas, if he is optimistic and ready to take on challenges, it might actually help in pushing oneself to improvise on all levels. The reality stands that competition is everywhere. One can either moan about or make the best out of it.

In conclusion, one musy always try to have healty competition in mind. Especially in this competitive world, competition is a must and the one conpeting with full determination will be the winner of the competition called life.

Be optimistic, Always Believe in yourself.

Optimism is one of the quality which is found rarely in humans. It is a strong quality with which one can achieve their goal, overcome any obstacles coming in their life, change their thinking from negative to positive.

Focus on solution is more necessary than on problems. Everyone seek for problems, about how will they manage?, what if it doesn’t happen? etc. They do not believe in them self, neglect their powers with what they can achieve and what they will become.

There are many influencers, motivational speakers, that influence and motivate with their speaking, lead us to change our mentality to work on and think about.

Optimism is also a leader, who once adapt this strength can lead their life well. It brings the change in our lifestyle, thoughts, ideas, develops good body language and maintain a good personality. It develops confidence you start working by believing in yourself.

There are two results that brings both good and bad energy around, first is when you achieve what you want and the second is failure. Accept both the situations, first outcome will boost your confidence, and by failing you learn. Both experiences are good, you learn in either way.

Do not surround yourself with the negative energy, create optimistic energy cycle in life, if fails never loose hope instead try again. Optimism has the power that it will never let you down always makes you step up.

This quality can be generated in yourself by you. You do not need to depend on others. The result you got is your responsibility, not of others, so its your decision whether to develop optimism to change the life create good energy cycle around or to drain the life.

Its good to believe in yourself. Keep believing and progress in life.

swami vivekananda’s teachings and philosophies

Swami Vivekananda was a hindu monk from india. He played a significant role in the growing indian nationalism of 19th and 20th century, reinterpreting and harmonising certain aspects of Hinduism. His philosophy was instrumental in introducing Vedanta and yoga to the west, and is credited with raising awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century.

According to Vivekananda a country’s future depends on its people, stating that “man making is my mission.” It’s totally correct and obvious if people doesn’t want there country to be wealthiest, educated, and developed their present as well as future will also not be good or happy.

Swami Vivekanand believed in “unity of all religions”. He thinks that all religions are equally important and valueable, but in today’s world debates, fights even wars are common over religions. Religion is the most sensitive issue and although every religion encourages the idea of peace and tolerance, almost no one remains in peace or tolerates anything when it comes to their religion. History is full of relegious wars and some of them have continued for years and killed many.

He also said that “whatever you think, you will be. If you thinks yourselves weak, weak you will be; if you think yourselves strong, strong you will be”. It’s true as it reminds us that we are the incharge of our lives. When you allow negative thoughts about yourself and your life to build up, you start to project these thoughts out into the world.

Vivekananda thaught us that “If you have faith in all the three hundred and thirty million of your mythological gods, and still have no faith in yourselves, there is no salvation for you”. Have faith in yourselves, and stand up on that faith and be strong; that is what we need. There are thousands of example which proves that you can do anything in life if you have faith in yourself and your ability to handle whatever situations are presented to you. You are blessed with freedom from doubt in yourself.

He emphasized that success was an outcome of focused thoughts and actions; in his lectures on Raja yoga he said, “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, that is the way great spiritual gaints are produced”.

His teachings mainly focused on human development. He wanted “to set in motion a machinery which will bring noblest ideas to the doorstep of even the poorest and the meanest”.

Vivekananda linked morality with control of the mind, seeing truth, purity and unselfishness as traits which strengthened it. He advised his followers to be holy, unselfish and to have faith. He supported brahmacharya, believing source of his physical and mental stamina and eloquence.

There are many more teaching and philosophy of swami vivekananda. Even the great and successfull businessman Jamsetji TATA follows the preachings of swami vivekananda, he also establish the Indian Institute of Science, one of the best known research universities inspired by Vivekanand.

“The Importance Of Old One”

Everyone want new phone, car, clothes etc.. but don’t you have any memories with old one? Were you not attached to that one? Is it easy for you to move on?

I know you are thinking that it’s not a big deal to buy new phone, car, clothes etc.. but the thing is that we are applying this in our life as well.

When we get bored of someone, we try to replace them. Right??
I know the answer is yes. Think about the situation of those who truly loves you but you don’t even pay attention to them. Is it right to ignore the one who love us? Absolutely Not.
We cannot understand the heartbreak, when we do this to someone but can definitely understand this when someone does this to us.
We cannot realize the importance of that person when they are with us but once she/he is gone, that time we realize the importance of that person.

Making new relations is not bad, but to replace older one is pretty wrong. The one who is with us since childhood and suddenly becomes unknown because we try to replace them and yes, they lost their faith in us.

So the older relations are very important for us. Keep it as much as you can.

“Depression”

Depression is a kind of a mental health disorder characterized by persistently depressed mood or loss of interest in activities.
Possible causes include a combination of biological, psychological and social sources of distress. Increasingly, research suggests that these factors may cause changes in brain function, including altered activity of certain neural circuits in the brain

What is Depression?
According to American Psychiatric Association, Depression (major depressive disorder) is a common and serious medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and how you act. Fortunately, it is also treatable. Depression causes feelings of sadness and/or a loss of interest in activities you once enjoyed. It can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems and can decrease your ability to function at work and at home.

Depression symptoms can vary from mild to severe and can include:

• Feeling sad or having a depressed mood

• Loss of interest or pleasure in activities once enjoyed

• Changes in appetite — weight loss or gain unrelated to dieting

• Trouble sleeping or sleeping too much

• Loss of energy or increased fatigue

• Increase in purposeless physical activity (e.g., inability to sit still, pacing, handwringing) or slowed movements or speech (these actions must be severe enough to be observable by others)

• Feeling worthless or guilty

• Difficulty thinking, concentrating or making decisions

• Thoughts of death or suicide

How to overcome from depression?

• Find small ways to be of service to others.

• Find workable goals that give you a sense of accomplishment.

• Pleasant Events: Schedule pleasant activities or events.

• Engagement: Stay in the present.

• Exercise: And, eat right too.

• Relationships: Focus on people who lift you up.

• Sleep Regularly: Try to keep a regular sleep schedule.

“Expectations – Leads to heartbreak

In this world, we should never ever expect something from others because if they will not be able to fulfill, then it literally hurts like hell. I’m talking about this topic because it’s really really important for us to know, don’t be dependent on anyone either they are important or not.

What is expectations?
Let me answer to this question, expectation is something that we want others to do, what we think of. Sometimes expectations looks like dominance that you are dominating & forcing someone to do what you want. So the simple thing is – “Don’t expect anything from anyone”.

Why we expect from others?
Okay, so the answer can be because we are so close to them that’s why we have expectations from them. But the thing is that, to expect someone is not wrong but over expectations and to be sad or upset when they are not gonna live on our expectations is pretty wrong.

Is expectations right or wrong?
See, I feel expectations from others is really not wrong because what I think is , it connects people much better than before, sometimes we feel happy while fulfilling the expectation of that person. But  it really hurts when we have a lot expectations from others and they don’t even give a damm.
So according to me, we should never ever expect something from anyone, just expect from you. You are enough for yourself.

What is Plasma?

Plasma is the clear, straw-colored liquid portion of blood that remains after red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets and other cellular components are removed. It is the single largest component of human blood, comprising about 55 percent, and contains water, salts, enzymes, antibodies and other proteins.

• Composed of 90% water, plasma is a transporting medium for cells and a variety of substances vital to the human body.

• Plasma carries out a variety of functions in the body, including clotting blood, fighting diseases and other critical functions.

• Source plasma is plasma that is collected from healthy, voluntary donors through a process called plasmapheresis and is used exclusively for further manufacturing into final therapies (fractionation). Source plasma donors may be compensated for their time and effort.

• Recovered plasma is collected through whole blood donation in which plasma is separated from its cellular components. Recovered plasma may be used for fractionation.

Importance of Donation

• The plasma protein therapeutics industry supports volunteerism donation in all of its forms. Source plasma donation and blood donation are critically important activities that contribute to saving lives.

• Source plasma and recovered plasma are used to produce therapies that treat people with rare, chronic diseases and disorders such as primary immunodeficiency, hemophilia and a genetic lung disease, as well as in the treatment of trauma, burns and shock.

• Plasma donation requires a commitment both in the amount of time for each donation and frequency of donation.

• Typically it takes between one and three hours to donate source plasma, and plasma can be donated twice within a seven day period.

“Few things left unsaid”

“Few things left unsaid

Simple because I knew that

You will understand and that would have ruined many beautiful stories”

– Sabina Yesmin

Sometimes someone leave us without any prior information and that time we get to know their importance in our life. It happens when we take things for granted because yes, we assume that person will never leave us but when they leave, we suddenly realize their importance. Isn’t it so selfish to take people for granted?

I’m not only talking about myself but also emoting your feelings too. It happens to me too that few things left unsaid, those people who plays a significant role in our life leave us for no reason even after not taking them for granted. You can better understand the situation when these things happen. Some people who are not able to overcome from it, will automatically get depressed and live their life with their memories because they are unable to accept the truth.

I can understand the situation when a person ignore you in Present days who have already said that you were important for them in past. It really hurts to see hatered feeling on their face who used to care us a lot.
But we should overcome from it and it’s not much hard, just try to focus on your self-respect that’s all.

“FEW THINGS LEFT UNSAID FOR PARTICULAR REASON”

Love Doesn’t Need Any Special Day

It’s Mother’s day right? Have you wished your mother? Is it just for one day or everyday?

I simply don’t believe on these days because for me my mother deserves this love and respect each single day. It’s not like, that I never shouted at her. Yes I have done it but I too made her understand that it was just a reaction what I did.
I don’t like to put status of her and wish – ‘Happy Mother’s Day, I really love you’ etc. There is a simple reason of it, my mother doesn’t use smart phone and I feel those who puts status almost 50% of their mother’s doesn’t even know about it because same reason smart phone and I feel those who put status almost 50% of their mother’s doesn’t even know about it because same reason smart phone. They just try to show off for sure because love doesn’t need any special day.

Toxicity – A Spoiler

Sometimes for no reason we started feeling irritated and do a bad conversation with a person in front of us. It is simply called toxicity when we feel very toxic in a relation, it can be friendship or anything else. You know what, toxic things can convert our smiles into upset face.

When we feel toxicity?

We feel when we are not happy in our life, we are not happy in our life, we are not happy from what we are getting and when someone gives negative vibes.

Here is a simple solution to overcome from toxicity is that try to make yourself happy, spread happiness, be with them who gives you positive vibes, have a conversation with yourself at least once in a day, stay away from those who gives you negative vibes.

Difference between an imaginary and a practical world

Almost everybody suggests us to be practical. Do you ever think why they do so ? and why to be practical?
Let me answer of this one because whenever we talk about the things which is not in real but we are assuming it, for ex. – ‘I wish I would be an IAS officer’, so the person who listen will definitely interrupt and say – ‘oh common, be practical’. In simple, we are assuming which is not real but still we are assuming which is called imaginary world.
The answer of the second one is that, because we shouldn’t only imagine things but also work hard to make it real. If you keep imagining things without implementation then trust me you are wasting your energy. So that’s why we need to be practical.

“If you can dream it,
You can do it.
Don’t just dream about it,
Work hard to make it happen too.”

A practical world is so different from imaginery one. No doubt, practical people imagine things but they try to make it real too and if it will be impossible then they do back step. So dreaming and imagining is good but to be in your world and ignore the real one is not good.

Why Do Men Always Dominate Women

It’s a rule of our so – called society that a man always dominate a woman. As we know that we are living in a patriarchal society where a woman always need to do what her husband/father ask her to do. If we talk about ancient time so there were Purdah system, Sati system, Child marriage, which always tried to question the existence of a woman.
When I was a child, I used to observe the inequality in our society and then used to think that – ‘ I wish, I could be a boy’.
The situation of a woman even get worse after her marriage because some man treats his wife like a thing.
But being a girl we should never allow anyone to force us because offcourse we are not a thing. We should be proud to be a girl because it’s so hard to be a girl. Nobody can’t bear that much pain what we do everyday, Nobody can work very hard for one’s identity what we are doing. So proud to be a girl.

Yes, I proud to be a girl,
A girl who suffered a lot,
A girl with full attitude,
A girl who is judged by thr society,
After wearing shorts & skirts
Have to face their bloody staring attitude.

Yes, I proud to be a girl,
Whose role is very important for everyone,
Yeah, we have to face inequality,
But trust me you are nothing without a woman  in the society 🙂

Unexpected Bond – Friendship

Friendship is the most unexpected thing I have ever seen in my life. I’m assuming that this thing happens not only to me but also to everyone out here, whenever we want to do friendship with someone eagerly so that person always overpower us or the friendship will not last long. Even I know the reason behind it is that when we request someone to do friendship then the person automatically gets the power to dominate us.
I believe that we should never request anyone to talk to us or to do friendship because it should be mutual right?
Mutual in the sense, friendship is a kind of a feeling that comes from bonding, you can never be friends if you haven’t any bond earlier.
It happens to everyone including me as well. Friendship is so unexpected, you will not even get to know that she/he is your best friend. If you have a very strong bond with someone that this bond will not fade even after not talking for one or two weeks, then trust me he/she is your best friend.
An important thing is that, we should never classify a friend into two groups which is good or bad friend because it’s so childish. We should never say friend to everyone out here because there are different words too – schoolmate , classmate etc. You know if we are using this word “Friend” so easily, it means we are decreasing the value of this word.
Now a days, people do friendship for their own need that’s a most disgusting thing. Don’t do friendship with those you are not connected with, do with those you are connected with.

Didi Lost Nandigram But Won West Bengal

The Trinamool Congress (TMC) which scored a landslide victory in the elections were successful in consolidating the Muslim votes and that had a direct impact on the results of the election.
Of the 63 Muslim dominated assembly constituenties elections were held in 61 constituenties and the Trinamool Congress won 58 of them leaving two for the BJP and one for the Sanjukata Morcha. However, elections were held in 61 of these total 63 seats because elections in two districts – Samserganj and Jangipur – were deffered because of the death of candidates.
As per the data from Election Commission TMC is on its course to win over 210 seats in a 249 member assembly, while BJP is likely to win 77 seats. In the hotly contested Nandigram seat, BJP’s Suvendu Adhikari defeated his former party chief Mamata Banerjee in Nandigram. However, Mamata has moved the Election Commission requesting recounting of votes in the constituency.
When the results has been declared, Mamata Banerjee tweeted – ” I appeal to everyone to maintain peace and not indulge in any violence, we know BJP and central forces have tortured us a lot but we have to maintain peace. At present, we have to fight Covid-19″.
Incumbent West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will take oath for the third time on 5th May said senior Trinamool Congress leader Partha Chatterjee.

Marks – The Determiner Of One’s Ability

Life used to be very easy when we were a child because we used to do three important things only – Eat, Play and Sleep. From school to college days, each and everyone suggest us to score high in exams but they forget to tell us that first we need to understand and marks shouldn’t be priority.
I know that we are in the 21st century and there are a lot competition among young generation, but do we need to study just for marks so that we can compete with them?
Absolutely not, we should study to understand that particular thing and try ti connect it with the contemporary situation.
We are losing our young generation just for not getting high scores and a lot of pressure on their small shoulders by their parents.
The NCRB data shows that 10,159 students died by suicide in 2018. Every hour one student commits suicide in India, with about 28 such suicides reported every day.
Can’t we make our parents understand that everyone has their own quality and a field of interest? Can’t we make them understand that everybody is not born to be an engineer or a doctor? Can’t we confess them that no, I’m not for this? Can’t we be friendly to them, so that we can share our stress our with them?
I’m not saying that it’s only the mistake of our parents. Not at all, nobody is responsible here, it’s just a matter of radical view and ideology. One should try to make their parents understand that they have their own quality and seriously telling you that “Marks – Really doesn’t describe your ability” because you cannot keep your report card all the time with you. Your behavior, Your Maturity and Your Atticates says a lot about you

Am I a Puppet? – An emotion of a girl who is being raped

Am I a Puppet? Is not only an emotion but also a truth that each and every female keep asking themselves each single day. We could play outside when we were a child but once we grown up, we have to face a lot of domination from others. There are a lot of cruel people outside who can make our life like a hell. Crime against women have been steadily rising over the years. According to the latest NCRB report, 2019 saw over 4 lakhs reported cases of crime committed against women. NCRB reported 32,033 rape cases which translates to a shocking 88 rape cases a day – and this is just 10% of all crime against.

Emotion of a girl

I am the sky, I am the earth
I am the moon and I am the sun
Who are you to judge me all,
Dammed I am the girl who endure the rape.

Why do I shut my mouth,
Why do I be silent.
I am not wrong he is the rapist,
Why don’t you guys try to understand.

I have seen the dark room,
I have felt the bad touch.
A devil comes towards me,
And always sells my self respect.

Don’t you dare to stop me
Because I will not.
Where were your so-called voice
When I was being raped.

I have seen my bloody body,
I have seen my torn clothes.
The nailmark of the rapist,
Still hurts me everywhere.

The mark of red on shoulders,
The stitches on my chest.
How can someone be so cruel?
Am I a puppet?

Tell me, am I a puppet for you all?
Or a doll  with whom you wanna play,
Use and throw me away. ? Dude, I am in pain,
But i am not weak.
I know there are so many stitches,
But still I can fight.
But still I can fight.

Dude, I am in pain,
But i am not weak.
I know there are so many stitches,
But still I can fight.
But still I can fight.

Founder Of Dreams – Labours Of India

In 2020, there were around 501 million workers in India, the second largest after China. Out of which, agriculture industry consist of 41.19%, industry sector consist of 26.18% and service sector consist of 32.33% and of total labour force. Labours – the founder of dreams, yes they are because off course they are doing a lot for us. From school buildings to metro, they have done everything. The vegetables what we eat daily, it’s because of the farmers who do farming. The farmers who works all the day, only get a little money for their own work, in simple we can say that they earn their bread and butter after struggling a lot.
Just think about the doctors who wear PPE kit whole day just for our treatment. The national registry of Indian Medical Association (IMA) shows that 747 doctors have died of Covid-19. Dr. Jayesh Lele, secretary general of IMA, told The Indian Express that according to their registry, the highest number of such deaths were from Tamil Nadu (89) and West Bengal (80).
Now let’s think about the policemen who works all the day for our safety. As per Indian Police Foundation Data, 1,50,226 Covid cases have been reported among personnel of state police forces and CAPF so far. Apart from policemen and doctors, there are a large amount of social workers who lost  their lives due to Covid-19. More than 87,000 healthcare workers have been infected with Covid-19, with just six states – Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Delhi, West Bengal and Gujarat till Aug 29, 2020.

“The people who are the founder of our dreams are losing their lives rapidly”. Be there for them, help them and respect them.

Selfless Care – A Invisible Bond

What is Selfless Care? A care without any condition. We are living in the 21st century and here it is too difficult to be with someone without any reason, condition and motive.

There are three types of people:-
• The one who are self – centered
• The one who be with you for any motive
• last but not the least, the one who loves you selflessly.

In this world, it is more easier to find the above two types of people but it’s very difficult to find selfless people. In this era where money matters the most, just imagine when someone gives you their own meal and sleep with empty stomach- yes, only our parents can do this.
We meet different types of people during different phases of life and gather a lot of experience with each passing days. Sometimes some people hurt us but on the other hand we form bond with some people. Apart from parents, friendship is the only unconditional relation that can never ditch us no matter what condition. Now let’s talk about those people who taught us a lesson and made us stronger day by day.
• Just think about that friend who left you when he/she is done with you.
• Remember the day when a person hurted you so badly, so that you are unable to trust anybody.
• On the other hand, think of the day when your mom slapped you and made you smile after  5 mins.

One day you will be thankful to all of them who made you realize your worth, your ability, your capacity and on the same day, you will hug the people who stand by you all the time.

Your Life Your Responsibility – ( A Corona Age )

According to JHU CSSE COVID-19 Data, there 3,86,555 cases on 29th April 2021, which is simply very high in quantity. It’s our responsibility to be careful for ourselves and for our family members because if we die, neither it’s gonna affect to this world nor to political leaders.

                  “Corona-Corona Everywhere
                  Please Stay At Home,
                  Watch TV, Eat Healthy
                  Do What You Love.”

Here are some precautions that one should take:-
• Clean your hands often. Use soap and water, or alcohol-based hand rub.
• Maintain safe distance.
• Stay home if you feel and unwell.
• Wear a mask.

Just keep smiling even if you’re corona positive, don’t be panic or lose your willing power. ‘Nothing is impossible’ that’s what we learn since childhood so don’t be sad, we will defeat it. You can do what you love to do at your home and I think it is a high time when you can focus on yourself and your future too. We are getting a lot of time, just try to make it productive from spreading happiness to help needy people. I got goosebumps whenever I take my country’s name – India because we have a large amount of people who believe in helping others for instance- doctors, police, army, staff, nurses, workers. These people are working day to night only for our lives so it is over responsibility to be safe and secure. Thousands of people are dying everyday and lakhs of people are infected by it. Let’s prove this world that we are citizen of India and can defeat this virus as well.

                        Stay home, Stay safe
                        Get Vaccinated”

Take It Day By Day

We Generate Fears While We Sit. We Overcome Them By Action.

Dr. Henry Link

We are asked all our lives, by our peers, our teachers, loved ones and visitors, ‘How old are you?’ in schools, functions, gatherings and on the streets. We mumble our answer in a monotonous tone until we pass school or college. After this, we feel as if we are on our own. We start to dread this question. Why?

Because the question takes quite a different turn as we grow up. Often joining hands with another following question ‘Well, what have you done in your life until now?’

Leaves us speechless sometimes, doesn’t it?

How We Compare And Why We Compare

We see our peers doing extraordinary things in their lives. Going around the world, taking various responsibilities, beginning their careers, and making the most out of their time. We judge our accomplishments with their’s and underestimate ourselves.

The Only Limit To Our Realization Of Tomorrow Will Be Our Doubts Of Today.

Franklin D. Roosevelt

The dream of early success is so over-glorified, in the media, in society and well, on our dreams itself. The vision of getting a well-paid job in our 20s and settling down in a middle-class luxury life is a common desire. But is this what life is all about?

What about the skills we have acquired throughout our lives? Our experiences? Our creations? Most of all, What good have we done for society?

What is Life All About?

Life is not just about mere existence. The capitalist world makes us aspire for a luxurious life but speaks nothing on the moral deeds we should do and how learning is a constant process in life, not merely something we finish in schools and institutions.

Learning has no age limit. We are never too old to learn something new and do our part. Several icons of the modern world whom we admire have paid their share of creations well after their thirties and more.

What You Lack In Talent Can Be Made Up With Desire, Hustle And Giving 110% All The Time.

Don Zimmer

For instance, comedian Steve Carell; who is known blockbuster hit such as “The Big Short” staring as Micheal Scott in The Office, didn’t land his hit role as Michael Scott until 42 years of age.

Other famous cases of late successes are Ricky Gervais(creator of The Office); Arianna Huffington (Founder of HuffPost) and even J.K. Rowling, author of the beloved Harry Potter books, started writing the first book of the world-famous franchise well into her thirties. All of their life events towards success continue to inspire us in addition to their inventions staying immortal.

This doesn’t mean we should hold our lives in pause mode and hope for the best, that life will figure itself out as we age. A person must have a moral aim in their life. We must aspire to create, innovate and inspire ourselves at every point since the start. It depends on the quality, not quantity.

Swami Vivekananda did great things in his short lifetime. One doesn’t have to be him to attain noble things; One should take the great monk’s values and aspire to do charitable deeds in their lives for the society and themselves.

Swami Vivekananda

Swami Vivekananda’s popular quote often serves as a great inspiration when we feel at our lowest:-

Arise, awake and do not stop until the goal is reached.

Swami Vivekananda

A person doesn’t simply become great in a day at something. It takes a deal of consistent effort to be exemplary at something. After all, practice makes perfect. We must fail at times to learn from mistakes and rise strong. Failures are the pillars of success. Famous talk show host Oprah was fired from her job as an anchor, but she took failure as an experience. Now she is one of the most popular figures in today’s world and the cherry on top, a billionaire.

Everybody has a calling. And your real job in life is to figure out as soon as possible what that is, who you were meant to be, and to begin to honor that in the best way possible for yourself.

Oprah Winfrey

Our aspirations in life might not come easy, be done in a short while, and might often make us discouraged and have us abhor life itself. Don’t care about what others are doing in their lives, go at your pace. During these moments in time, we must remember, ‘where there is a will, there is a way’. If there’s a true passion for the right cause, a rational purpose, then no one can stop you from achieving your ambition. Remember as you age, you are not getting ‘old’, you are getting better.

I’m different

I have heard people talking about me being different from other children, since my childhood. My neighbor Aunties, my class teacher discussing with other teachers she is too shy, cannot mix-up well with her classmates, always lost in her own world. That time I was in 3rd standard. And I used to wonder why? What makes me different from other children, why my elders find me different or something abnormal in me… but my classmates never made me feel any different, I had 4-5 good friends and 1 best friend with them I was fully comfortable. From class 1st to 8th, I was in same school and well settled, there was no issue because my classmates have seen me from 7 years and they accepted me as I am, at that time nobody could point out me to be different. Everything was going well and I forgot what people said about me earlier, that time I didn’t feel I’m different from others and I was always excited to go to school.

Then I got promoted to 9th class and my father Got transfer to another City. It took me 2-3 months to adjust there it was hard for me as that was a big change after so many years but I still managed because there also I got a good batch they were very friendly helpful. But after a year, I was in 10th my Father again got transfer and this time it really made a dent in my self confidence. Ya, I am an introvert and I take time to get comfortable with others and I need time to make friends, but others should also try to make me feel comfortable, friendship does not go one way. as I was new in the class that too 10th class lot of pressure of studies, the teachers were also so rude and they didn’t help me to cop up with studies as I have came in the middle of the session nobody helped me. rather my maths teacher started saying I’m abnormal, then I failed in maths half-yearly exam for the first time I had failed in any subject, I got depressed and teachers said I won’t pass 10th, they suggested my parents for drop out that year. I suffered a lot of health problems due to maladjustment, but somehow I managed to score 76% in 10th board exams. Class 10th was the worst year of my school life. I did my 12th also from that school and those 3 years were like prison for me, I had no friends there some students used to bully me because I don’t talk much, but that’s their point of view, I’m talkative around right people:-)

Now I’m in 2nd year in college, I have many friends but not any best friend but that’s okay…I have learned to walk alone. I need to overcome my shyness but being an introvert is my nature..I can’t change it and there is no harm in being a bit different:-)

Learn to Say No

We all have that kind of behaviour where we put others first than ourselves. Our priority changes with people who are more important to us. But don’t you think keeping oneself to backseat every time will not help in a long run process. We have to prioritise thing for our own self too. Sometimes the most empowering decision is also the most painful decision.

Pleasing people attitude is be rooted in us since childhood. We might have been raised to be a good girl or boy, praised for being “mummy’s little helper”, or we might not have been given enough attention, and so sought it by pleasing others, even at the expense of ourselves.

Sometimes we just get so used to it that we are not answerable to our own-self what we want? Let us thing why we can’t say a simple word ‘no’ is it so hard to express it is a word with only two alphabets easy and too simple to understand but then to we just can’t speak it as we have a fear of rejection, we have a feeling that they will be disappointed by us, angry, hurt their feeling, unkind to them or rude.

We have been to many coffee dates with a person which we are not that interested in but, we just said yes as we can’t say no keeping our time, money, feelings on stake.

Learning how to cure the ‘people pleasing’ urge is a day to day process. But it is important to do it, to put boundaries and set limits, so you don’t end up living in other’s terms, but in yours.

How to set boundaries step by step

  • Realize the importance of boundaries

The first step of this journey is to realize how having no-boundaries affects our daily life and personality. Pleasing people all the time, putting them before our health and our life is the main reason of our exhaustion, stress and lack of self-esteem.

  • Be prepared

You will meet people who will try to break your boundaries but you have to mentally, physically prepared for such situation. You will have to be strong and confident on your values.

  • No guilt or fear

We mostly forget that the first person’s feeling we have to take care for is our own self and that the fear of losing others will make us lose ourselves.

  • No justification

Justifying their negative attitude towards you, will keep you ‘under their spill’. Try to be rational about this. If a friend keeps putting you down, keep blaming you for their own failures, is he/she really a friend? We should draw the line between being a good friend, and letting toxic people run your life.

  • Change your behaviour

You cannot change others, but you can change your behaviour towards them to step on all your values, they continue to do so. But when you take charge and stop them from doing it, there’s not much choices for them.

  • Make your statement and a request

After you have come to the conclusion, make sure to calmly talk to the person that made you feel uncomfortable. Take this step when you are calm enough to be rational, not when you are filled with anger and pain.

  • State the consequences

If the other person is unable to meet your request the next step is to take care of your-self. You now let the other person know how you are going to deal with the situation. It’s important to plan how you are going to behave before you make your boundary request. That’s means that if they don’t accept your terms, you have thought of some consequences on their relationship with you.

  • Mean it

If there is no persistence then the boundary doesn’t even exist. Remind yourself of the importance of your physical, mental and emotional health and how putting these boundaries is helping you protect them.

Conclusion

Choosing yourself doesn’t always feel good yet you must learn to find the wisdom that lies within the ache. The ache is where you meet your power.
