INDIA BORDERS ARE AT ANXIETY

In India there are many beautiful places and there are many different people, languages, culture etc… Near India there are China and Pakistan who are willing to capture some main part of the India but they cannot capture. India is giving tough fight for both the countries even though they are becoming stronger and stronger. In the before time also Pakistan is waiting eagerly to capture Jammu and Kashmir in India but the military in India is giving a tough fight to them. In Pakistan there are some terrorist who attacked the small villages near the Jammu and Kashmir and some peoples died and some have injured. Pakistan is attacking always in the borders of India and Pakistan. There was big attack it is called as Pulwama attack on 14thfeburary 2019 morning 5:30 am 40 soldiers were died at a time plus one bomber this had happened at Lethapora (near Awantipora) in the Pulwama district of the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir. The whole country was in tears that day it was a terrific death because while they were sleeping in car and some places surrounded by them they kept the bomb. India knew it is made by Pakistan government took actions even though it not coming to an end. So the Indian government took action that there working under the ground as a tunnel to safeguard the people from the bomb blast they are planning to construct 14,460 but where the Pakistan is attacking much there they are constructing extra 4,000 tunnels in that 7,923 were constructed in that some tunnels only one person can hide and in other many people can hide under the tunnels during attack. In Ladakh border china has kept their soldiers ready to attack India they have made tents and staying. As Ladakh is near Himalayas it is a cooling place so many soldiers of their country could not bear the cold so many have fallen so they are changing soldiers as a routine process. Before itself they were keeping their force to attack so India to kept the soldiers as much as china kept the forces the afterwards both the chief commander talked not to make war. There was no satisfaction in both the side so it continued to ten times and both were agreed to return from the place, but china didn’t so India blocked 10 apps from the play store to India and they stopped import and export from their country. China is asking help from other countries and it is making all the neighbouring countries like Pakistan and Srilanka to attack all around problem was there for India but it was all solved china is again going to start the attack. India military and chief all are seeing the movements of the china and they are also getting ready. Even though India has done so much to china they are not getting back why if china fights, we should also fight there is any rule can we change as the father of our nation did being quite. We can fight in words not in action and bomb blast because of that many people are died so we can do by this method to win the battle. War and all things many people are died and many have lost their lives so let’s not be fight and be friendly with others.

Water Sources Management

Major treats:

  • A weed is a plant considered undesirable in a particular situation, “a     plant in the wrong place”. Examples commonly are plants unwanted in human-controlled settings, such as farm fieldsgardenslawns, and parksTaxonomically, the term “weed” has no botanical significance,

In this recent years this river is overcrowded by the growth of weeds which cannot be destroyed easily .This weeds also served as a home to the mosquitoes which in turn invited the diseases in our home.

Types of lake weeds

They are rooted in the bottom, but stems, foliage and flowers extend above the water surface like Cattail (Typha spp.), Besharam (Ipomea carnea), Common reed (Phragmites communis), American lotus (Nelumbo lutea), Water lily (Nymphaea odorata), Pickerel weed (Pontederia cordata), Arrowhead (Sagittaria spp.), Purple

Negative effects of weeds in water systems:

The plants cause tremendous loss of water from water bodies like lakes and dams through evapotranspiration. Aquatic weeds have been found to severely reduce the flow capacity of drainage and irrigation canals thereby reducing the availability of water to the farmer’s field.

A few examples of broadleaf weeds are clover, dandelion, and purslane. Some examples of grassy type weeds are nutsedge, pampas grass, and bermuda grass. Weeds can be further divided into annuals, biennials, and perennials.

 Sustainable methods:

Chemicals:

Herbicide spray or granules that are applied to the water or area following specific instructions.

Effective at targeting specific weeds

Less labor intensive

DREDGING:

A machine that displaces (and depending on the type, can remove) sediment layers.

Moves the sediment thereby removing seeds, roots, and plants

Removes a mucky bottom

Can increase water depth

Deweeding Organization:

To save the river from being polluted and being harmed there are methods that can be followed

The de-weeding drive undertaken by the public works department (PWD) recently at the Uyyakondan canal in the city to prevent mosquito menace, has escalated the maintenance cost by 12% than last year, with officials attributing it to the rapid growth of water hyacinth and waste water being let into the canal.

To overcome such a situation the young volunteers can come front and organize a team to help to save the river from being lost off.

  • Garbage disposal:

River of garbage:

Trash can travel throughout the world’s rivers and oceans, accumulating on beaches and within gyres. … It is transported by rivers to the ocean, where it moves with the currents, and is often eaten by birds and fish, concentrating toxic chemicals in their tissues, and filling their stomachs, causing them to starve.

And also this river is now polluted by throwing garbage into it. This once again paves way for diseases and also affects the organisms that lives in it and fed with it.

The effects of illegal dumping:

A common method of illegal dumping is throwing garbage directly into a river or stream, this causes oceanic pollution and leads to the death of marine life. Waste that is dumped illegally often contains dangerous and toxic substances, which soak in all the oceanic oxygen.

Plastic can have a damaging impact on underwater life. Large pieces can trap animals but smaller pieces can be in advertently eaten. “Once digested, plastic can release toxic chemicals which are then passed through the food chain. These toxic chemicals, in high doses, could harm the health of wildlife.”

Sewage treatment:

NOWADAYS this river is flowing along with the garbage in it which makes it more badly and useless for this the people in my locality can come up in collecting funds and help in promoting and restoring it. And also they can associate a team to clean up the river in order to save our resource.

WHO IS RESPONSIBLE?

If no government agency has the responsibility or resources to clean up the banks of a stream or its littered streambed, then it is the responsibility of nongovernmental organizations and private citizens to do so. There are many opportunities for private citizens to participate in river and stream cleanups. For example, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency sponsors an “Adopt-a-Watershed” program. Many states have “green team” or “stream team” opportunities, such as Vermont’s Green-Up Day and Northern California’s Riverwat.

Volunteers who participate in stream cleanups often report a rewarding experience. In addition to providing an aesthetic and environmental benefit, cleanups reconnect citizens and the community to the waterways that have been a vital part of the nation’s history and culture.

Research has shown than people are more likely to behave in ways that preserve our waterways if they are clean in the first place. If a stream bank or shoreline already has litter, people are more likely to continue littering. Individuals can take the initiative by cleaning up streamside trash and by disposing of trash properly.

Success measured by Money or Mental Strength?

Is Success measured by money or mental strength?

Success can be said as the outcome of our efforts in simple terms. If a person is Successful he will be at a stage where he cannot replace such feeling. Many persons used to surf to become successful rather finding his/her   own way to become successful and now let me say it in brief.

  • To become successful first choose your passion or the field in which you wanted to be successful.
  • Then think of the ways to achieve it.
  • Now prioritize your works.
  • Time Management is one of the keys to become Successful.
  • Set your goal.
  • Work hard until you achieve it.
  • Overcome your fears, Obstacles and everything that stops you.
  • And Now the most important thing NEVER EVER GIVE UP

Success measured by Money:

What is money for?

Money is the basic commodity that helps you to run a life. So each and everyone should remember that money is only to satisfy your needs not your feelings.Everytime when you are successful you will experience a sort of feeling that money cannot repay it. So if a person is Successful with his/her money he will not get the happiness of Success.

How hard is Success?

Success is tough no matter how you slice it. With so many people vying and competing in what many label as a zero-sum game, achieving any semblance of grand-scale success has become monumentally difficult. And it will only get harder as the years wear on.

why isn’t it easy?

Success is knowing what to do and actually doing it. Failure is knowing what to do and not doing it. Most of us actually know what to do but for some reason, fear perhaps or whatever, we just don’t do it

What makes achieving success difficult?
Answer: Achieving academic success is difficult for me because of a lack of self-discipline. I need to change my study habits to overcome my lack of self-discipline. Achieving academic success needs organization, time management, prioritization, concentration, and motivatio

  Success by Mental Strength:

If a person desires to be successful and goes to any extent for it he is a person of strong mental strength. It’s because only such person with mental strength will work for it and only such person explores its pleasure .Thus Money cannot replace your feelings and only Success is measured by mental strength.

To be a person of strong mental strength a person should be him/her self and must be concerned about his mind and soul because these keep you strong. Also yoga’s, Meditation can be done to improve it.

Unlike others we must be unique in finding a way for our success. Most of the successful people say that Time Management is very important to become successful. It’s because when you manage your time you can improve yourself rather running behind the clock. The teenagers must also be energetic and active instead of being lazy. To become successful to must work and go for any positive extent to achieve it.

“Success depends less on strength of Body than upon Mind and Character”

The Epic Of Gilgamesh

Abridgement:

Literary history-Character Analysis-Two versions of this epic- Similarities between this epic and the bible-Symbols-Moral Themes-Contribution-Conclusion

Literary history:

The Epic of Gilgamesh ( is an epic poem from ancient Mesopotamia, regarded as the earliest surviving notable literature and the second oldest religious text, after the Pyramid Texts. The literary history of Gilgamesh begins with five Sumerian poems about Bilgamesh (Sumerian for “Gilgamesh”), king of Uruk, The first surviving version of this combined epic, is known as the “Old Babylonian” version dates to the 18th century BCE and is titled after its incipit, The later Standard Babylonian version compiled

Character Analysis:

The Major characters in this epic are…

  • Gilgamesh
  • Enkidu
  • Humbaba
  • shamath
  • Ishtar

GILGAMESH

King of Uruk, the strongest of men, Two-thirds god and one-third mortal, and the perfect example of all human virtues. He is A brave warrior, fair judge, ambitious builder

ENKIDU

Companion and friend of Gilgamesh. Hairy-bodied and muscular, Enkidu was raised by animals. Enkidu looks much like Gilgamesh and is almost his physical equal. He aspires to be Gilgamesh’s rival but instead becomes his soul mate. he gods punish Gilgamesh and Enkidu by giving Enkidu a slow, painful, inglorious death for killing the demon Humbaba and the Bull of Heaven.

HUMBABA

The fearsome demon who guards the Cedar Forest forbidden to mortals. He is the prime example of awesome natural power and danger. His mouth is fire, he roars like a flood, and he breathes death, much like an erupting volcano

ISHTAR

The goddess of love and fertility, as well as the goddess of war. Ishtar is frequently called the Queen of Heaven. Though she can be unpredictable at times, she is a nurturing mother figure, and other times she is spiteful and cruel. She is the patroness of Uruk, where she has a temple.

SHAMHAT

Shamhat   is a temple prostitute. By sleeping with Enkidu, she begins the process of bringing him into civilization.

UTNAPISHTIM,

Utnapishtim, also called the Distant One, is the only man to attain immortality. It was a gift from the gods in exchange for his obedience during the Great Flood. Although he’s old and wise, Utnapishtim is also demanding and impatient of Gilgamesh’s quest.

Two versions

From the diverse sources found, two main versions of the epic have been partially reconstructed: the Standard Babylonian version, or He who saw the deep, and the Old Babylonian version, or Surpassing all other kings.

Standard Babylonian version

The Standard Babylonian version has different opening words, or incipit, from the older version. The older version begins with the words “Surpassing all other kings”, while the Standard Babylonian version has “He who saw the deep” (“deep” referring to the mysteries of the information brought back by Gilgamesh from his meeting with Utnapishtim) about Ea, the fountain of wisdom. Gilgamesh was given knowledge of how to worship the gods, why death was ordained for human beings, what makes a good king, and how to live a good life. The story of Utnapishtim, the hero of the flood myth, can also be found in the Babylonian epic

Old Babylonian versions

This version of the epic, called in some fragments surpassing all other kings, is composed of tablets and fragments from diverse origins and states of conservation. It remains incomplete in its majority, with several tablets missing and big lacunae in those found. They are named after their current location or the place where they were found.

Similarities between this epic and the bible:

In this Epic, the gods create Enkidu, who runs wild with the animals in the open country, as a companion for Gilgamesh.  There are particularly interesting similarities between the Garden of Eden story in Genesis and the story of Enkidu’s movement from nature to culture and civilization. In both stories, a woman is responsible for the transition of a man who had once eaten and drunk with the animals to a state of estrangement from nature. Once Enkidu is rejected by the animal world, the woman Shamhat gives him clothing and teaches him to drink beer and eat bread—all technological developments that separate humans from animals.

Symbols:

Gilgamesh is rich in religious symbolism. Religious rituals in Mesopotamia involved sacrifices, festivals, sex, dream interpretation, and shamanic magic, all of which appear in the story. Enkidu’s hirsuteness symbolizes the natural, uncivilized state.

Moral themes:

The Epic of Gilgamesh has several moral themes, but the main theme is that love is a motivating force. Other moral themes in this epic are the inevitability of death and the danger of dealing with the gods. The love within the friendship of Enkidu and Gilgamesh inspires both of them to be better men in different ways

Fear, not grief, is the reason why Gilgamesh seeks immortality. Enkidu’s death thrusts Gilgamesh into the depths of despair but more importantly it forces him to acknowledge his own mortality.

Contribution:

Through his struggle to find meaning in life, Gilgamesh defied death and, in doing so, becomes the first epic hero in world literature. The grief of Gilgamesh, and the questions his friend’s death evoke, resonate with every human being who has wrestled with the meaning of life in the face of death

“What you seek you shall never find. For when the Gods made man, they kept immortality to themselves”. A penny for your thoughts….

Time management

Time management helps youbpertoizee your tasks as that you ensure you have enough time available to complete every project .the quality of your work increase when your not rushing to complete ahead of a fast approaching deadline one of the biggest advantage of time management is that it allow us to more efficient by being in control of how we spent our time .we can focus better on important tasks and better focus leads to better efficiency .effective time management allow student to complete more or less time and they are not wasting tine on distraction such as social media

Time is gold .once waste it cannot be back .use our time in useful way .

GLOBAL WARMING

Global warming refers to the gradual rise in the overall temperature of the atmosphere of the Earth. There are various activities taking place which have been increasing the temperature gradually. Global warming is melting our ice glaciers rapidly. This is extremely harmful to the earth as well as humans.

Global warming has become a grave problem which needs undivided attention. It is not happening because of a single cause but several causes. These causes are both natural as well as manmade. The natural causes include the release of greenhouses gases which are not able to escape from earth, causing the temperature to increase.

After that, the excessive use of automobiles and fossil fuels results in increased levels of carbon dioxide. In addition, activities like mining and cattle rearing are very harmful to the environment . One of the most common issues that are taking place rapidly is Deforestation

The average temperature is constantly rising by 1.5 degrees Celsius for the last few years .Glaciers have been melting, many countries have started water shortage, flooding, erosion and all this is because of global warming

The warning bells are tolling to awaken us from the deep slumber of complacency we have slipped into. Humans can fight against nature and it is high time we acknowledged that. With all our scientific progress and technological inventions, fighting off the negative effects of global warming is implausible. We have to remember that we do not inherit the earth from our ancestors but borrow it from our future generation and the responsibility lies on our shoulders to bequeath them a healthy planet for life to exist.

Child Marriage

Marriage is the most blessed part of our life. It connects not just two people but also two families. The blissful marriage considered to be one of the most successful events for Indians. Many parts of the country have forgot the real value of marriage. They have manipulated it their way and do their sins by ruining two immature person’s life who doesn’t even know the meaning of Marriage. Child marriage is a crime according to Indian Government. The minimum age decided by the Government for a boy is 21 years and for a girl is 18 years. Even the government is try to do amendment in this law by increasing the minimum age of girl child to be 21 years.
In some parts of the country, It becomes a tradition to do early marriage even before they become an adult. Marriage is not just a word, It is a responsibility which can be fulfilled by two individuals if they know their duties and aware with the benefits and consequences comes with it. Several cases daily used to be reported by the police mostly in rural areas. If a girl is born in their houses, they treat her like a burden and wants to get rid of her as soon as possible. Main reason of child marriage is illiteracy and narrow minded thinking. India is a developing country, It will take many years for India to reach the position where the child marriage and tradition of dowry get fully demolished.
Marriage is a part of our life not an ultimate goal which needs to be fulfilled at any cost. If our children gets proper facilities and an environment to become what they want then there is not limit to reach new heights. Child marriage have been discarded by major section of our society by implementing strict laws and spread awareness about the impacts of heavy responsibilities in early age . It will take more efforts and strict laws to fully discard it and adapt the new laws. In the mean time, Government has introduced several campaigns like “Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao” and many more which have actually helped parents to think about the future of their children rather than about marriage.
To be independent and stand strong in the competitive world everybody needs to prepare themselves for upcoming challenges and tackling all the problems with grace and pride. Education here plays quite an important role which will help us spreading awareness and putting light on backward tradition which have been followed by our society since very long time. Now , The time has come to move forward and look for brighter future despite looking in backward direction and regretting all the decision we have taken. Child marriage is a crime and Every human being who encourages it should get punished.

Justice tempered with mercy or law.

Justice should be tempered with both mercy and justice, because the offender may have a harsher punishment for small mistakes. But this can be overcome by mercy. For some mistakes like harassing and abusing women should be punished through law. Because all should respect women and give them. They are also human beings, so for such crime justice should be tempered with law. But for most crimes we can give justice through mercy.

We all know Kiran Bedi the Honourable Lieutenant governor of Puducherry and also a retired IPS officer advised the criminals and take care of them. She showed mercy to stop crimes. While justice be done, the punishment has to softened by kindness. When justice is tempered with mercy it can make good public policy. Any justice is untouched by spark of humanity or mercy is savage as justice is not tempered with mercy. Some people know that they are going to do mistake which is against the law. For such people justice should be tempered with law. For example: many people started bribing, they know it is a against the law but they do it because of greediness. This should be overcome by law. So, at last both mercy and law should be there for justice.

Power of Money

Every human being have their basic needs i.e., Food, Shelter and clothes are considered to be top needs among others. Money plays an important role in fulfilling all our needs and wants. The motivation people get to work daily hard is to earn more and more money. Their dedication and passion for their work comes more naturally when they get paid right amount of money for their money. Money plays an important role for us to survive in this planet. Life of an individual is to born, survive, holds responsibility and fullfill their duties, retirement and ultimately death. Materialistic items have started giving us more pleasure and entitlement.
Money can actually buy every item that you want be it comfortable bed, luxurious car, air conditioner, house or anything. The superiority of money has reached to next level where everyone runs after money. If a person is rich, they don’t need to stand in a queue to get their work done. Every one starts respecting you if you have money. Just like our earth, Life is also circled in between money and power. The world is fighting very hard to survive in these tough times to overcome from the pandemic situation, Most of the people are losing their humanity and selling oxygen cylinders or necessary medical equipments at very high cost. It is the time to stand united and work towards helping each other and fighting the virus, not to earn money by putting our country’s people in danger. The result of our sins are very heavy which no individual can handle it alone.
The people who are most affected are middle class and poor people who are not even able to afford proper food for their families. In this critical situation, Every person who have money and can help others should come forward and perform their duties as a citizen of India. It is true that Money can buy everything but It can’t give you back a life of your loved ones from the heaven.
Situations like COVID-19 have realized us the value of life, money and time. Being a good person who can help the community in any way possible is enough. Money is important but don’t make it everything for that you have to lose your identity, integrity and respect.

Female emancipation a necessity or a curse of the society.

Female emancipation is a necessity thing. Because when women are emancipation everybody in the society will respect women. In olden days women are not much respected but nowadays some people are respecting women for their knowledge and talent. female emancipation is not so improved, nowadays also we can see how women are abused dominated by male.

Even though women are educated they are not much respected. This is because heir right is not fulfilled. In every occupation woman are working there, this is due to female emancipation. Many people worked hard for the equality of woman, the famous known persons are Bharathiyar and Periyar. They struggled for the equality of women. In every home all females are educated and they are working in every fields. This is due to female emancipation.

Success measured by money or mental strength

Success is measured by mental strength, because life may contain many struggles. To handle it we must have mental strength. A person who are having mental strength will definitely succeed in life, mental strength means controlling our emotions and thoughts and work with them to choose actions. It looks difficult to control our emotions and thoughts but without struggle we could not succeed in life. It keeps motivated in goals.

When we are mentally strong we could control our negative thoughts which are against our goal and work on it to achieve their goal. But when they are in a half- way to achieve their goal, their negative thoughts will stop them to achieve. Mental strength will help us to overcome negativity. It helps us to be a courageous person. Many achievers succeed their goal is due to mental strength. A real talented person will succeed only through mental strength. Stephen Hawking is the best example, like even though he is a paralysed person he didn’t stop his journey for his disease. He had overcome from that negativity and became one of the scientists in the world. He succeeded in his life due to mental strength to succeed in their life.

“IMPACT OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION ON HEALTH”

“IMPACT OF ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION ON HEALTH”

Environmental pollution is increasing day-by-day around the whole globe and people have to live in a toxic world in this 21st century. Environmental pollution is alarming for the whole world as it has the worst impact on health and it is the big reason for the spike in diseases like cancer, diabetes, heart disease and lung disease among the public. The harmful impact of environmental pollution on health will be discussed here. A report of the World Health Organization (WHO) says that 92% of the world’s population lives in polluted areas. Environmental pollution is directly effecting the children of such areas and they are at high risk. According to a report of UNICEF, around 600,000 children are dying annually due to diseases caused by air pollution that is the most common type of environmental pollution.Environmental pollution is causing various types of diseases and defects in the human body. Moreover, the most common pollutants in the environment like sulfur dioxide (SO2), ozone (O3), carbon di and monoxide (CO2 & CO), heavy metals, nitrogen oxides (NOx), etc. are causing various diseases like respiratory disorders, heart stroke, mental disorders, etc…When a human takes a breath in the air, the person inhales various chemicals that have a direct impact on health. Further, it increases the risk of asthma and respiratory diseases as respiration is the main function of the body to live. Also, evidence of scientific research shows that Ozone in the air affects the functioning of the lungs in the human body. Therefore, due to the negative effects on the lungs, people suffer from respiratory inflammation.People living in the polluted area are the victim of cancer mostly. As most of the regions are polluted with industrial smoke, coal smoke, fire smoke, and vehicle smoke. Additionally, cancer is also caused by indoor items and office materials. These indoor items are paints, carpets, Split AC, air freshness, stabilizers, and sterilizers. Not only this, but the existence of the organic compounds in the environment is also causing cancer.Environmental pollution is directly affecting the heart. Therefore, the ratio of heart stroke and diseases are increasing. People of the polluted areas are at high risk of high blood pressure and damaged blood vessel functioning. Also, some pollutants like Ozone affects lung nerves that causes an irregular heart rate.More than the above, environmental pollution is also causing wheezing and coughing in people. Also, environmental pollution harms the immune systems of the body. Therefore, the human body will not able to do the daily activities of life with proper health. The impact of environmental pollution on health is not limited as air pollution is the main source that causes insulin resistance and which leads to the occurrence of diabetes in the human body. Many people are also associated with autoimmune diseases due to environmental pollution. Also, chemicals like CO, NO2, O3 in the air are also causing mood disorders. Even, it causes the arising of the symptoms of the migraine and headache. Skin disorder, reproductive issues, thyroid disorder, obesity, and premature aging are also observed due to environmental pollution.

Climate crisis and the pandemic surrounding it

People have a perception that 2020 has brought them in the midst if a pandemic and it to be solely blamed for all the ruckus in their lives. What can I say, we all are humans ultimately, we are designed to blame other things in this universe for our own wrong doings. What most people don’t realize right now that isn’t supposedly just a limited pandemic which can be cured with the help of a vaccine, it is, in fact, a full fledged climate and health crisis. THESE ARE THE REPERCUSSIONS OF OUR OWN DOINGS !!

It comes as no surprise that India is ranked fourth among the list of countries most affected by climate change and it emits almost 7% of global emissions in the world. As a result, our daily temperatures keep on rising and glaciers keep on melting.

This crisis is being mainly caused by the society’s on-going cut throat competition regarding the limited resources of this planet, and of course, the merciless exploitation of our nature. We are over using our fossil fuels and the government keeps on cutting down trees to showcase the development being brought about by them. In India, all the issues over any crisis, soon goes on to become the puppets of politics.

  1. Population control- According to statistics, India is projected to overtake China in terms of population within forty years. The population of a country is directly linked to the amount of resources required to survive in it. The monopoly behind resources will continue to prevail till we don’t take adequate steps to control the population and curb the climatic crisis. For the same, many population bills were raised in the Indian parliament to they continue to be stuck in the roaring politics.
  2. Pollution control- This is one of the most obvious ones. Our government took many steps for this but they continue to fail because of the lack of dedication regarding them in the citizens and the government of India. Also, pollution can automatically be controlled by population control.
  3. Reuse, Recycle, Reward- The government can introduce certain awards and rewards to encourage people to go green. We all agree that one who misuses our resources shall be punished, but along with it, one who saves it shall also be appreciated. The government can voluntarily, also provide extended support to the producers and small scale shops who take an extra step for ensuring environment safety.
  4. Volunteer at NGO and in real life- Speak up for the right! You can also extend your support towards the cause by working in NGOs. You can also join protests regarding that.
  5. Environment friendly methods- This is where the talk about awareness and action comes in. On the internet, we can find tons of daily life ways on preserving the environment but what about the people who don’t have an access to the social media? Adequate laws and awareness programmes should be released.

I would like to end this with a powerful quote by MARSHALL MCLUHAN-

“There are no passengers on this spaceship earth. We are all crew.”

We already have the solutions to the problems. All we need to do is to wake up and change!

world food safety day

On 20 December 2018 the United Nation General Assembly adopted resolution 73/250 proclaiming a World Food Safety Day. Starting in 2019, every 7 June will be a time to celebrate the benefits of safe food. Food safety is the absence or safe, acceptable levels of hazards in food that may harm the health of consumers. Food borne hazards can be microbiological, chemical or physical in nature and are often invisible to the plain eye: bacteria, viruses or pesticide residues are some examples. Food safety has a critical role in assuring that food stays safe at every stage of the food chain from production to harvest, processing, storage, distribution, all the way to preparation and consumption.

with an estimated 600 million cases of food borne illness annually, unsafe food is a threat to human and health and economies, disproportionally affecting vulnerable and marginalized people, especially woman and children, population affected by conflict, and migrants. An estimate three million people around the world in developing and developed countries die every year from food and water borne diseases. Food is the starting point for our energy, our health and our well-being. We often take granted that it is safe, but in an increasingly complex and interconnected world where food values chains growing longer, standards and regulations are that much more important in keeping us safe.

KEY FACTS:

  • Access to sufficient amounts of safe and nutritious food is the key of sustaining life and promoting good health.
  • Unsafe food containing harmful bacteria, viruses, parasites, or chemical substances, causes more than 200 diseases ranging from diarrhea to cancer.
  • An estimate of 600 million almost 1 out of 10 people in the world fall ill after eating contaminated food and 420000 die every year, resulting in the loss of 33 million healthy lives.
  • Children under 5 years of age carry 40% of the food borne disease burden, with 125000 deaths every year.
  • Diarrhoeal diseases are the most common illness resulting from the consumption of contaminated food, causing 550 million people to fall ill and 230000 deaths every year.
  • Food safety, nutrition and food security are inextricably linked. Unsafe food creates a vicious cycle of diseases and malnutrition, particularly affecting infants, young, elderly and the sick.
  • Food borne diseases impede socio-economic development by straining health care system, and harming natural economies, tourism and trade.
  • Food supply chains now cross multiple national borders. Good collaborations between governments, producers and consumers helps ensure food safety.

2020 THEME :

In 2020, thee second observance of World Food Safety Day, we all have a chance to recognized the people who help keep our food safe. 2020 was about promoting awareness and urging action by highlighting what everyone can do to ensure safe food. whether you grow, process, transport, store, sell, prepare or consume food, you have a role to play in keeping it safe.

With the five steps below you can see how everyone is involved in food systems and has a part to play in keeping food safe:

  1. Ensure it’s safe – Governments must ensure safe and nutritious food for all.
  2. Grow it safe – Agriculture and food producers need to adopt good practices.
  3. Keep it safe – Business operations must make sure food is safe.
  4. Eat it safe – All consumers have the right to safe, healthy and nutritious food.
  5. Team up for safety – Food safety is a shared responsibility.

Importance of Mental Health

Mental health refers to your emotional and psychological well-being. Having good mental means you are leading a good lifestyle. It helps us to realize the individual’s strengths and weaknesses. Mental health should be taken care of us in almost every part of our life. If you think your mental health is affected then visit a psychologist. Visiting a psychologist doesn’t mean you are insane. Just checking things in your early stage will help you more and you can lead a peaceful life.

The main cause of mental health is Depression. There are many reasons for depression. In India, people think that sharing their depression problem with others will lead to a big risk. They fear getting judged by people. So, they never open up to others. It will gradually take a toll on your mental health and will become a big disorder in your life.

Some people get panic attacks when they read some terrific news or students may get panic attacks before their exams. This can be cured at early stages. But, consulting a psychologist is more important. If you are a working professional and your office provides a separate psychiatrist to treat your problems. Feel free to knock on their cabin. They will treat you like “Don’t judge a book by its cover”. They will listen to your problems patiently and will never jump to conclusions.

If you are a student and your school/ college has a counseling room. Approach them if you are getting depressed. They will share some life stories with you. It will motivate you to overcome the struggles or problems being faced by you.

Especially in these covid times, everybody’s mental health is getting affected because of lockdown and quarantine themselves in their homes. In those cases not listening to unwanted news itself will reduce all your stress and depression. Doing breathing exercises are good for mental health and to have a calm peace of mind. Doing breathing exercises once in the morning and evening will reduce your stress level and you will get a good amount of energy to kickstart your day.

We should raise awareness about mental health and let people know about its impacts. So that we can save many lives. Always trust your instincts. You can take advice from others but having a piece of good advice from your heart will be a good cure for your mental health.

Don’t be ashamed or disheartened to share your depression or anxiety problems with others. Share your problems with the person only if you trust them. It is good to share your problems with strangers too. If you get a chance and the stranger is willing to hear from you give a chance and open up.

This mental health and depression if not treated for a long time can cause heart problems. If you feel sudden palpitations without even walking or running. Then kindly consult a doctor. There may be many reasons. But the common reasons are anxiety and depression. So treat them soon with a good specialist.

workout plan for beginners

The most confusing part after we start a great fitness journey is finding the right workout plan.We can ask for our new gym trainer or explore online. But the fact is no one knows more about your body than yourselves.Sticking to the right workout plan can create a great impact on your overall wellness and lifestyle. But as a beginner ,we all fail to do it right in the start. Here I have comprised a few workouts and a workout tips that can help you to start your fitness adventure.

1.Understand your body:

The first and foremost thing about starting your fitness goals is not straight away jump into workouts, instead research about your body how it reacts to certain workouts and to other. Not all sort of workouts will help you achieve you ideal body.We all have our weakness and strengths. So understanding your body is the first step to a long lasting goals.

2.Start small:

Start by having small workout circuits instead of spending hours in gym or workouts. Why not spend a lot of time if you are beginner .Point one, your body is not capable of accepting a sudden body change. So if you start small ,say for one week for five days with rest days in-between and you only do for 20 minute circuits.Your body will adapt to this gradual change and accept whatever it is.But say you workout for 1 hour circuit for five days.Your body couldn’t accept this amount of movements.Instead we force to accept it.So no matter what ,start small.

3.How your workout plan should look like:

It should comprise of three parts(that’s how i like and you might be too).

The three part can be categorised into

1.Cardio/strength(High impact)

2.Pilates/Yoga(Low impact)

3.Rest days(Very important!)

Dividing and adjusting these three factors in your workouts will not only help you make changes according to your body cues but also you will have a sustained routine for very long time.We need a lifestyle change and not for this moment alone. For example, you can have three cardio/strength days with two low impact days may be in the middle of high impact or after followed by rest days.

It is most vital to understand your body cues.If your body is so restless in a particular. Please rest.Don’t go for the results.Result oriented goals,it will never reap you any good.Hope this blog had helped you understand how to start your fitness goals.Stay fit and motivating.

IMPACT OF SOCIAL MEDIA

Social media is a powerful revolution that has changed our lives all round,it has changed the way that we socialise, conduct our businesses, engage in political affairs, build professions and set job recruitments. With the use of platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram, how people socialise has been greatly revolutionised. It has made it easy to connect to our family members, friends and relatives on a real-time basis. With social media, people can share pictures and videos and communicate with their close ones. This has strengthened relationships and it is bringing families together in a way that was not possible in the past.Families, friends, relatives and businesses have the opportunity to share skills and improve on different proficiencies. Additionally, people get to make and meet new friends. The impact of social media on our society has attracted a massive number of users with an estimate of 3.5 billion users worldwide.

Businesses have greatly been impacted by social media — from marketing to interacting with customers on a timely basis. A business that has embraced the use of social has a definite edge over its competitors. The online platforms are a less expensive way for businesses to advertise their offerings on a real-time basis and to attract more customers. It has made it easy for businesses to reach out to a wider customer base and improve customer loyalty through different programmes.Social media has impacted job recruitments significantly. The majority of companies make their hiring decisions based on one’s social portfolio. Recruiters also use online networks to post job vacancies through which they get their ideal candidates. Many professions and skills have been built and learned through social media. There is a massive increase in online learning where one can easily learn a skill and build a strong profession around it. The existence of social media has led to an increase in the number of people undertaking distance learning, as well as academic offerings such as writing services.

The negative impacts of social media:
There are some negative impacts caused by social media. Despite it being a platform through which we socialise, run our business and understand political affairs, here are some negative results .Through sharing personal information, one’s privacy is at risk of impersonations, theft and stalking — among other vices. Nowadays, companies use social media to gauge job seekers. Posting anything abusive or embarrassing could make you lose that job opportunities, because ‘the internet never forgets’.
Online social platforms are addictive and this has drastically reduced productivity at workplaces. This impacts negatively on companies as they incur losses.
Cyberbullying is another worrying impact of social media. Results of cyberbullying have seen victims falling into depression and, in more radical cases, has cost them their lives.
Since information travels faster online, a piece of false information could quickly reach a big number of people and cause great panic among the recipients. In some instances, it has made some people especially the introverts to rely too much on the virtual world as opposed to the real world.

Be optimistic, Always Believe in yourself.

Optimism is one of the quality which is found rarely in humans. It is a strong quality with which one can achieve their goal, overcome any obstacles coming in their life, change their thinking from negative to positive.

Focus on solution is more necessary than on problems. Everyone seek for problems, about how will they manage?, what if it doesn’t happen? etc. They do not believe in them self, neglect their powers with what they can achieve and what they will become.

There are many influencers, motivational speakers, that influence and motivate with their speaking, lead us to change our mentality to work on and think about.

Optimism is also a leader, who once adapt this strength can lead their life well. It brings the change in our lifestyle, thoughts, ideas, develops good body language and maintain a good personality. It develops confidence you start working by believing in yourself.

There are two results that brings both good and bad energy around, first is when you achieve what you want and the second is failure. Accept both the situations, first outcome will boost your confidence, and by failing you learn. Both experiences are good, you learn in either way.

Do not surround yourself with the negative energy, create optimistic energy cycle in life, if fails never loose hope instead try again. Optimism has the power that it will never let you down always makes you step up.

This quality can be generated in yourself by you. You do not need to depend on others. The result you got is your responsibility, not of others, so its your decision whether to develop optimism to change the life create good energy cycle around or to drain the life.

Its good to believe in yourself. Keep believing and progress in life.

US delineated on UFOs – Residence of aliens is disclosed !

A Pentagon representative declined to remark on reports about the insight report. She said the Pentagon’s UAP group is “viably working with the Office of the Director of National Intelligence on the report, and DNI will give the disclosures to Congress.” But White House Press Secretary, Jen Psak added, “I will say that we bring reports of invasions into our airspace by any airplane, recognized or unidentified, truly and examine every one.” Two Agencies have analyzed reports of planes or different articles in the sky flying at befuddling speeds.

Whatever those are, they’re in reality out there. US insight is after them, yet its forthcoming report will not convey any full truth about UFOs. The tempting possibility of top government intel at long last saying something, following quite a while of paranoid fears, TV shows, motion pictures and winking jokes by presidents will rather yield a more ordinary truth that is not liable to change numerous personalities on any side of the issue. Agents have discovered no proof the sightings are connected to outsiders, yet can’t deny a connection all things considered. Two authorities advised on the report because Congress in the not so distant future say the US government can’t give an authoritative clarification of elevated marvels spotted by military pilots.

The report moreover doesn’t impede that what pilots have seen may be new advancements made by various countries. One of the specialists said there is no sign the unexplained wonders are from secret US programs. The authorities were not approved to talk about the data openly and talked in a state of obscurity. The report was 1st dispensed by ‘The New York Times’. The report analyzes different unexplained sightings from ongoing years that sometimes have been caught on record of pilots shouting about objects flying before them.

Congress in December required the Director of National Intelligence to sum up and report on the US government’s information on unidentified airborne wonders, or UAPs, better referred to general society as unidentified flying articles or UFOs. The effort has consolidated a Defense Department UAP group set up a year prior. The normal public arrival of an unclassified variant of the report this month will add up to a status report, not the last word, as per one authority.

The US government treats unidentified airborne wonders appropriately given the potential public safety hazard of a foe flying novel innovation over an army installation or another delicate site. This likewise is seen by the US military as a security and well being issue, given that as a rule the pilots who announced seeing unexplained aeronautical marvels were directing battle preparing flights. The report’s absence of firm ends will probably disillusion individuals expecting the report, given numerous Americans’ long-standing interest with UFOs and the possibility of outsiders having arrived at humanity.

pride month

To outsiders, Pride Month might seem like a month of glittering parties and parades, but it’s so much more than that. The catalyst for Pride is actually a riot. These days, however, the LGBT community around the world uses it as a time to get together and celebrate how far we’ve come. It’s a time to recommit to the work that must still be done to achieve equality. It’s a time to reflect on the progress we’ve made as a community and celebrate those who made this progress possible. Since the uprising, LGBT folks and allies have fought hard to give the community the right to marry, to start families, to fight discrimination, hate speech, and hate crimes, and to simply allow queer folks to exist. During this month, we acknowledge the progress we’ve made sometimes loudly and always proudly while also being realistic about how far society still has to go. It’s time to amplify the voices that urgently need our support, especially rural, Black and Brown, and transgender communities.

All around the world, Pride Month is celebrated in June. It can be a little confusing for those new to Pride because not all major queer events actually happen in June. Some like the multi-day lesbian centric music festival usually takes place in April, Women Fest is also held in September. In general, though, the major parties, parades, and other festivals generally takes place in the month of June or somewhat close to it.

the Pride Month was started through The Stonewall Uprising took place on June 28, 1969, in New York City. At this time, police would frequently raid gay bars and harass the queer community, as there were still many laws on books banning homosexuality. Greenwich Village’s Stonewall Inn was among the most popular gay bars, and while it had been raided before, on that particular day in June, the queer community fought back and protested hard for several days. After that, things were never the same again and this was a very good thing. The first official Pride parade began the following year on the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, with Christopher Street Liberation Day. Some folks celebrate Pride Month by attending picnics with queer friends while other spend time in the community via ZOOM events, and still, others simply donate to their favorite LGBT community.

In India leading online sexual and reproductive health information platform, love Matters India is celebrating Pride for an entire week from June 10 to June 16 with their campaign #AgarTumSaathHo : Celebrating Support, Acceptance and Allyship”. With this campaign, the platform will display stories of support and acceptance that people have received or extended towards members of the community. Their mission is to extend knowledge of the LGBT community and also encourage acceptance of the community in the society to create a harmonious bond between those who are not a part of the LGBT community. During this campaign, they will also host a letter writing workshop, where one can write letters of support to any person with whom they wish to communicate.

does india need to vaccinate kids before covid-19 third wave

These concerns come at a time when several Indian states have reported a shortage of vaccines for the 18-44 age group. A section of the medical community in Bengaluru as in other parts of the country are asking for safe and efficient vaccines for children to be made available ahead of the third wave of the Covid-19 pandemic. This,as they are expecting children to be the most vulnerable section of the population in the third wave. It should be noted that schools, especially for junior classes, have largely remained closed since the onset of the pandemic in March 2020. Currently in India, ZyCoV-D and Covaxin is under trial for children above the age of 12. In certain nations like the US, Canada and Singapore, vaccines like Pfizer have already been approved for the use for children above the age 12. Dr. Mayuri Yeole, associate consultant of Paediatrics said vaccination is important not only for immunity but overall well being of children too. “Vaccination will not only help boost their immunity, but also make attending schools and outing stress-free. It will help them live their childhood, and not be confined within four walls.” Like the flu vaccine, it seems essential to have a Covid-19 vaccine for children too while it may not prevent children from contracting the novel coronavirus, it will help reduce the morbidity and mortality which we are anticipating with the third wave. Some experts are of the belief that the government should currently focus on vaccinating the 18 and above population at first in wake of large scale vaccine shortage, as they see children as less likely to have severe diseases.

While consolidated pan India data on children’s mortality due to Covid-19 is not available, according to Karnataka government data, 105 persons of the age group 1-19 years have died due to Covid-19. In Mumbai, the number of deaths between 1-19 years of age group was 52. Usually, the children who pass away have had chronic illness and were already vulnerable. across the globe, the rate of death and even hospitalisation among children is significantly lower. It was found that the infections in children were slightly higher but statically insignificant compared to adults. Serosurvey detects presence of antibodies and not virus which means that children were exposed to the virus at the similar degree but they were highly asymptomatic.

Instead of prioritising children’s vaccination over the population of 18, the government shoul focus on pressing areas of malnutrition, immunisation against basic diseases in children. We cannot compare ourselves with the West where many places even have surplus vaccines while our children are dying due to lack of access to basic nutrition. We are creating unnecessary panic when we have vaccinated only 3% of the population fully. we should focus on frontline workers, the over 60 age group, and then the people with comorbidities should be prioritised. There is no urgency to vaccinate children as they are less prone to severe disease. One reason is that their immune system is under development. And they are given vaccines like MMR, chicken pox and H1N1 and others. So, unlike older people, their immunity systems are much more active. If we don’t vaccinate the parents first, there will be difficulty in managing the children. So, if we can protect the parents, to a large extent, we can naturally prevent infection among children.

Fines In India

Recently the Delhi collected Rs 11 crore fine for violation of of traffic rules . Sometimes these challans are justified but sometimes these are imposed wrongly on people . I would like to narrate my experience on fines . I along with my friend was going on a bicycle for some personal reasons as the lockdown has finally came to an end in Uttar Pradesh . So we were wearing masks and also my friend who was driving the bicycle was wearing a helmet . I accept my mistake that I who was sitting on the back was not wearing any helmet . So we both were caught by a policeman and a hefty fine of Rs 2000 was imposed on both of us . It was ok because it was my mistake and an e-challan was delivered at his home . What happened next was when we were finally leaving ,at another red light one more police officer stopped us and put a fine on us once again and the same thing happened the third and the the last time . So in short in one day three freaking fines were imposed on both of us . Is this a joke or something ? I tried to explain the officers that I had already paid the fine on the previous red light but damn did not cared about the burden borne by my friend in the form of three fines each of Rs 2000 . So I am not complaining about the fines but my sole motive of writing about the story is that their should be a body governing such functions of the police officers or they would take illegitimate benefit of the power that they have .

swami vivekananda’s teachings and philosophies

Swami Vivekananda was a hindu monk from india. He played a significant role in the growing indian nationalism of 19th and 20th century, reinterpreting and harmonising certain aspects of Hinduism. His philosophy was instrumental in introducing Vedanta and yoga to the west, and is credited with raising awareness, bringing Hinduism to the status of a major world religion during the late 19th century.

According to Vivekananda a country’s future depends on its people, stating that “man making is my mission.” It’s totally correct and obvious if people doesn’t want there country to be wealthiest, educated, and developed their present as well as future will also not be good or happy.

Swami Vivekanand believed in “unity of all religions”. He thinks that all religions are equally important and valueable, but in today’s world debates, fights even wars are common over religions. Religion is the most sensitive issue and although every religion encourages the idea of peace and tolerance, almost no one remains in peace or tolerates anything when it comes to their religion. History is full of relegious wars and some of them have continued for years and killed many.

He also said that “whatever you think, you will be. If you thinks yourselves weak, weak you will be; if you think yourselves strong, strong you will be”. It’s true as it reminds us that we are the incharge of our lives. When you allow negative thoughts about yourself and your life to build up, you start to project these thoughts out into the world.

Vivekananda thaught us that “If you have faith in all the three hundred and thirty million of your mythological gods, and still have no faith in yourselves, there is no salvation for you”. Have faith in yourselves, and stand up on that faith and be strong; that is what we need. There are thousands of example which proves that you can do anything in life if you have faith in yourself and your ability to handle whatever situations are presented to you. You are blessed with freedom from doubt in yourself.

He emphasized that success was an outcome of focused thoughts and actions; in his lectures on Raja yoga he said, “Take up one idea. Make that one idea your life – think of it, dream of it, live on that idea. Let the brain, muscles, nerves, every part of your body, be full of that idea, and just leave every other idea alone. This is the way to success, that is the way great spiritual gaints are produced”.

His teachings mainly focused on human development. He wanted “to set in motion a machinery which will bring noblest ideas to the doorstep of even the poorest and the meanest”.

Vivekananda linked morality with control of the mind, seeing truth, purity and unselfishness as traits which strengthened it. He advised his followers to be holy, unselfish and to have faith. He supported brahmacharya, believing source of his physical and mental stamina and eloquence.

There are many more teaching and philosophy of swami vivekananda. Even the great and successfull businessman Jamsetji TATA follows the preachings of swami vivekananda, he also establish the Indian Institute of Science, one of the best known research universities inspired by Vivekanand.

Difference between Civil law and Criminal law.

All you need to know about Criminal Law: An Insight

What is Criminal Law?

Criminal law relates to the offences that negatively affect society as a whole, rather than just one person. Criminal laws are put in place by Parliament to prevent breaches of conduct which they deem as harmful towards the whole of society. If a person breaches criminal law, then they will face criminal prosecution by the state. Criminal proceedings are brought by the Crown Prosecution Service and will be heard in Magistrates’ Court or the Crown Court. If you are then convicted, you may receive a prison sentence or a community order. The standard of proof for criminal law cases is “beyond a reasonable doubt” or “certain so you can be sure.” These both mean the same thing.

Examples of criminal offences include:

Murder, Manslaughter, Fraud, Assault, Sexual Offences, Burglary, etc.

What is Civil Law?

Civil law is more concerned with cases between individual people where one person commits an offence which is harmful towards another person, their rights or their property. Civil law also settles disputes between individuals and organisations. If you are convicted of a civil offence, you are not likely to be sent to prison, but most often will become liable for compensation. The standard of proof for civil law cases is “the balance of probabilities.” However, certain civil offences such as disciplinary proceedings for solicitor misconduct can use the higher standard of “beyond reasonable doubt.”

Examples of civil offences include:

Personal injury, Breaches of contract, Employment tribunals, Negligence, etc.

There are three men and three women are the main cast- Chandler, Ross, Joey, Monica, Rachel and Phoebe.Central Perk, a cafe and popular meeting spot for the group. I thank my sister who asked me to watch this series. I love this series very much and their friendship and funny moments are awesome. On May 13, 2021, a teaser trailer was released officially announcing Friends: The Reunion also known as “The One Where They Get Back Together”. The reunion special was released on HBO Max on May 27, 2021. When I watched the reunion I was mixed with emotions. I missed them soo much. The series finale closes several long-running storylines. Ross Geller (David Schwimmer) confesses his love for Rachel Green (Jennifer Aniston), and they decide to resume their relationship; and Monica Geller (Courteney Cox) and Chandler Bing (Matthew Perry) adopt twins and move to the suburbs. Many unexpected twists and turns happens and atlast it was a happy ending. I thoroughly enjoyed the series from the start to the end. In the reunion the main cast revisit the sets of the original show (such as the Friends apartments, the Central Perk coffee shop, and the Friends water fountain), meet with guests who appeared on the show as well as celebrity guests, do table reads and re-enactments of older Friends episodes, and share behind-the-scenes footage. Everyone was happy and they shared their experience.

How to beat Procrastination?

First of all we should know what is procrastination?

When you google up about this the definition that will pop up on your phone is “The action of delaying or postponing something”. The main reason why everybody do procrastination is not prioritizing the correct amount of work or the tasks to be done on that day. When you prioritise your work always start by writing low-priority tasks.

The main reason why we should list the low-priority tasks are we will get the energy to start of our work. If you list high-priority tasks and the moment you see them you will definitely jump into skipping them.

If you find a task that is very long and you are not interested in doing it don’t do that if it has a long time to complete. Because when you do something without any interest or upon force the work will not look good. And you will keep on cursing the work till the time you finish it. But, make sure you add them in your task or to-do-list after some days. So that you will get some motivation or you will get some energy to do that work.

Suppose if you are starting a high-priority task grab a cup of coffee in the middle of your work to get freshed or do something you like. But, don’t go through social media for a long time because in the end you will spend all your time on it and the day will easily get over. Instead you can take short naps. Taking short naps are really useful because your brain gets refreshed. And the ideas you need for the task will easily pop up.

Also you can do a self test, and you will be able to analyze that you are procrastinating. You can easily identify it if you are doing some work on the last minute and submitting it just before on time. These things are the perfect examples that you are procrastinating. Procrastinating is the only easy art that everyone can learn within a short span of time. This will become a major drawback in your career if you don’t give a damn about it for a long time.

You can adopt some strategies. Give yourself a reward if you complete some tasks on time. For example if you are asked to submit a project within two days and you are submitting 5 hours ahead of the time give yourself a chocolate or something that you like. This will boost up your mood. Only we can make our lives successful. People will not guide you all the time. They can’t come like your shadow. So, we have the capacity to beat the procrastiantion.

Have this imagination in your mind. How I can spend my time if I complete the task on time? You will be able to spend more time for yourself. You can easily watch Netflix, binge watch shows, have a walk in terrace, and read a book. These things will be amazing only if you have completed the task. If you do them without completing them then it will interrupt your happiness often. But, you can take some short breaks and do them but only as a short break not a long-term break.

Emotions Is it really need to be kept hidden …

Emotions are the only thing which keeps human heart sane. It is the only one thing that makes a connection among human, emotions are the handful of deal that need to be preserved and protected and the feeling that has this amazing capacity but if kept hidden that was this because insecurity and immaturity but we should let go of everything and feel free to display it. according to situation we need to act and mask our feeling or emotions so it has to be preserved well.

Racism-An exceptional agony

It is exceptional and good to see people coming forward and talking about race and color. But it is equivalently important to learn about their history as it is fighting for their rights. The unfortunate incident that happened to George Floyd was a turning point in history. A man named George Floyd was murdered by a policeman, begging for his life. The policeman strangled him to death just because his skin color was too dark. The USA was a country of slaves. It is no lie that black people were packed in ships and bought there to do slavery. This fact holds a significant place as many of us are deprived of the fact that how black people were treated in late history. I know it is frustrating to know that at some point people were exploited to death just because of their skin color. Consequently, many people started to realise that this was sinful and unjust. That’s when leaders like Abraham Lincoln came forward and talked about fundamental human rights. For a long-drawn time, they fought laboriously, protesting and covered with bloodshed just for their rights. Finally, slavery was abolished; it was ruled out for good. However, once it was abolished black people remained to be the lowest rung of the society. Why? once slavery was abolished people found out a less tedious task to exploit black people- segregation. There was a mental imbalance in the mind of people. They failed to comprehend that people who were a second ago your toilers are, in a flash, equal to you. All this imbalance led to segregation. Black people were given separate drinking wells, separate movie theaters, schools, and whatnot. Every public resource was segregated as people were so disgusted by the fact that black people could now walk and run almost white people. Again the history repeated itself; black people fought for their rights; shed blood and tears to abolish segregation. At last, segregation was abolished. Yet, the hatred amongst the hearts of the people did not cease. Out of anger, black people were dragged out of their houses and were hanged. Yes, literally; it is so complex to believe this. The hatred led to another civil rights movement. The famous incident where Rosa Parks, refused to give her seat to a white man and spoke for her right was a part of this movement. At last, at least a fraction of them apprehended the pain of black people. Racism is very much alive, but the good thing is that a large majority of people now talk about black people’s rights. Moreover, it is good that we celebrate their culture but is very relevant to study their deep-rooted history; their unforgotten agony. We owe them so much, and we perhaps will fail to repay it, yet we can try our best. This article does not mean to spread enmity; the primary goal was to enlighten you upon their grievous history and what they have undergone. If you are out there willing to support and uplift them, here are some black authors who would mesmerize you with their writings- Deesha Philyaw, Yaa Gyasi, Jasmine Mans.

Signs that you are addicted to your phone

If you can’t go to sleep without checking your phone then you are addicted to it. If you constantly keep on checking your phone it will become a habit. Bad habits won’t take time to grow. It will develop very fast. You can’t sleep without checking and everytime a message you immediately grab your phone. It will affect your brain cells. And you will follow it day by day before going to bed.

First thing you do when you wake up is checking your phone. When you wake up your mine will be calm without any hustles from this world. The moment you check your phone and some terrific message pops up your brain cells will be petrified. and you will think that message for all day long. Sometimes, it will lead to panic attacks. Even if you want to check time you can do it by seeing the wall clock or use a watch. But, don’t use your phone to check timings.

If you are always anxious and can’t think in a calm manner then you should definitely stop using your phone frequently. These can be treated at early stages but if you keep on practising this then it will become like an addiction. Addiction is like a slow poison. It will kill that person gradually.

Some people frequently use their phone for checking social media messages. You can check them but for getting good updates. In these covid times all we are getting are bad messages and the moment we read them we become terrified. This happened because of us. We are the prime reason for making ourselves and putting in such a vulnerable state.

For example, if you are attending a family get together and you are gelled with your phone and not speaking with others then it is a major sign of your constant using of phone. Everybody will think you as a phone maniac. And it will create a bad impression. We know we have to live for ourselves and not for others and should not care about the society. But that doesn’t mean that we should never care and keep on doing things we do. Sometimes, it will create a big impact.

You are always distracted. This means whenever a person speak you can’t pay attention and are always sticking to your phone. This is not a good thing. This means you are missing out of your friends group.

This is not a serious issue. Because, nowadays all our works are related to phone. We can easily find how much time we are spending each day on our phone and also the number of minutes or hours spent on each app by installing any of the available apps from playstore. This will help you to find the amount you spent and sometimes it can send you a pop up message. There are also apps available which will kick you out automatically when you exceed the time limit set by you. Sometimes, taking strict actions only will control us.

So start saving your time by installing any app on your phone to monitor your time and use your time wisely rather than spending hours on social media.

Drinks-beverages

A drink (or beverage) is a liquid intended for human consumption. In addition to their basic function of satisfying thirst, drinks play important roles in human culture. Common types of drinks include plain drinking water, milk, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, juice and soft drinks. In addition, alcoholic drinks such as wine, beer, and liquor, which contain the drug ethanol, have been part of human culture for more than 8,000 years.

Tea is the world’s second-most-consumed drink
Non-alcoholic drinks often signify drinks that would normally contain alcohol, such as beer and wine, but are made with a sufficiently low concentration of alcohol by volume. The category includes drinks that have undergone an alcohol removal process such as non-alcoholic beers and de-alcoholized wines.

Is fast and junk food unhealthy?

People use the term junk food to describe a food that has few of the nutrients your body needs, and a lot of fat, sugar and salt, which your body can easily get too much of. Potato chips, candy, and soft drinks are often considered junk food. If you like these snack foods, the trick is to eat them in small portions so that you still get the nutrients you need each day.It is high in calories and extremely low in nutrients. It is a major cause of serious problems like obesity and malnourishment due to the lack of essential nutrients in the diet. The school students are the worst victims of malnutrition. The reason behind it is not poverty but their growing fondness for junk and fried food.
Most students prefer pizzas and burgers over fruits and green vegetables. Such items have always been a more tempting option to the home cooked meal of rice, chapatis and vegetables. The opening of fast food corners has made it convenient to grab a burger than to carry a tiffin. But there is a huge price to be paid for this convenience. As we eat junk food, the brain neurons pump out more and more dopamine, giving us a feeling of pleasure. When released, dopamine fits into a receptors in the brain, much like a key fits into a lock, and when the fit is right the pleasure is sensed.A variety of fast food like pizza, burger, presweetened cereals, chips, noodles, processed foods are easily available in the market. People find it desirable and convenient to eat such food items as they please their taste buds more than regular food. These types of food haven’t got any nutrition, rather they are high in cholesterol, sugar, sodium and low in fibre, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. These foods are hazardous for health. They give rise to blood pressure, resulting in hypertension and cardiac disorders. Sometimes they develop chronic degenerative disorders also. They simply feed hunger along with our immediate craving. They do not form our body in the form of usable lasting energy or building materials provided by nutritious food like fruits, vegetables, chapattis, pulses, etc. This food only looks and tastes good, other than that, it has no positive points.
The amount of calorie your body requires to stay fit is not fulfilled by this food. For instance, foods like French fries, burgers, candy, and cookies, all have high amounts of sugar and fats. Therefore, this can result in long-term illnesses like diabetes and high blood pressure. This may also result in kidney failure.Everyone should realise the importance of healthy and nutritious food and should say ‘no’ to fast food. Parents must ensure that their children eat healthy and home-made food. Children should also break the shackles of unhealthy food and follow a diet-chart suggested by their parents.School authorities should also take immediate steps to replace fast food items with health promoting items such as milk, eggs, bread sandwich, fruit chaat etc. Students should be taught that health is wealth. If they remain healthy, only then they can concentrate on studies. Junk food will bring nothing but ill health, obesity and unhappy life.

POVERTY

Two-thirds of people in India live in poverty. This makes the Indian subcontinent one of the poorest countries in the world. Women and children are the weakest members of Indian society and they suffer most.India is the second most in population country after China with about 1.2 billion people and is the seventh largest country in the world. More than 800 million people in India are considered poor. Most of them live in the countryside. The lack of employment which provides a livable wage in rural areas is driving many Indians into rapidly growing metropolitan areas such as Bombay, Delhi, Bangalore or Calcutta. They don’t have any food to eat, water to drink and even no electricity. The poor hygiene conditions are the cause of diseases such as cholera, typhus and dysentery, in which especially children suffer and die.

Poverty in India impacts children, families and individuals in a variety of different ways through:High infant mortality,Malnutrition,Child labour,Lack of education,Child marriage.India is one of the world’s top countries when it comes to malnutrition: More than 200 million people don’t have sufficient access to food, including 61 million children. 7.8 million infants were found to have a birth weight of less than 2.5 kilograms.Although child labour for children under the age of 14 in India is prohibited by law, according to official figures, 12.5 million children between the ages of 5 and 14 are working. Aid agencies assume that in reality, there are many more estimating that 65 million children between 6 and 14 years do not go to school. Instead, in order to secure survival, it is believed that Indian children contribute to the livelihood of their families; they work in the field, in factories, in quarries, in private households and in prostitution. Many children are not educated and they go to work because of their poverty. Many children beg in road side and they get something to eat from the money. Now in this situation, due to corona many middle class family lost their job and many poor people are not able to find food for their hunger. People should treat them well and help them with what they can give. They can provide them with food and water in this pandemic situation. All should come forward to help them. If we can’t help them they will suffer badly. Our government has also taken measures for providing them food so we can also donate some money to them or we can also buy some food and give to poor people near your house. They will be so happy. We should come forward and take steps and make them happy. When we do this our country’s poverty will reduce and we should stop child labour and those who can help them with their studies should come forward. We can’t expect everything should be done by the government if we can we should do it. When we do some good things many will see us and they will also do. We should keep poverty away but not a poor!

South korea Tourism

South Korea, an East Asian nation on the southern half of the Korean Peninsula, shares one of the world’s most heavily militarized borders with North Korea. It’s equally known for its green, hilly countryside dotted with cherry trees and centuries-old Buddhist temples, plus its coastal fishing villages, sub-tropical islands and high-tech cities such as Seoul, the capital.South Korea is a very safe country to visit. It is famous for being the land of kimchi, K-pop, K-dramas, tech giant Samsung, automotive manufacturer Hyundai, soju, Korean fried chicken, Korean barbecue, the 12-step skincare routine, and of course, Gangnam Style. But there’s so much more to this East Asian tiger than the trends it has given birth to.Its crime rates are much lower than in the US and on par with most European countries, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. This mostly means that, for tourists and anyone else, it is perfectly safe to walk around at night, even in the larger cities. Violent crime is also rare.Since the turn of the 21st century, South Korea has emerged as a major exporter of popular culture and tourism, aspects which have become a significant part of its burgeoning economy.K-dramas have attracted attention for their fashion, style and culture all over the world.South Korea offers everything a traveler could want in a destination. It has a long and fascinating history, a wonderful culture, amazing food, friendly people, and an excellent tourism infrastructure (including a new high-speed rail system). It’s also a country of contrasts, with tourist attractions ranging from ancient mountaintop Buddhist temples like Bulguksa to the ultra-modern skyscrapers of Seoul like the Lotte World Tower. All Koreans speak the Korean language, which is often classified as one of the Altaic languages, has affinities to Japanese, and contains many Chinese loanwords. The South Korean won or Korean Republic won is the official currency of South Korea. A single won is divided into 100 jeon, the monetary subunit. The jeon is no longer used for everyday transactions, and appears only in foreign exchange rates. The won is issued by the Bank of Korea, based in the capital city of Seoul.
It also has one of the most unique attractions in the world that can be visited, a no-mans land, part of a military border between two countries technically still at war (the DMZ). Racism against ‘Northeast Indian People’

Northeast India is the eastern most part of India which comprises of 8 states Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, and Sikkim. These places showered with the beauty of ‘Mother Nature’.

India is well known for its Diversity. People, culture, tradition, art etc., in one region are not the same as the other region in the country, this diversity and difference is what makes India unique. But are people in India embracing these changes?

Racism in own Country:

People travelling from their hometown to any new region will be usually prone to or come across some sort of racism. But, people from Northeast region of India who move to other parts of the country are more affected by racism and discrimination. The Covid 19 situation has made it worse. They face a lot discrimination for their appearance, people from other parts of India call them as Chinese or with other nationality name or nick names. It won’t take much time for them to back call back the racist person as a Pakistani or with other nationality name? when that person is actually Indian. Just because people appear different from the majority doesn’t give anyone the right to mock them. No one has the right to change someone’s National Identity for satisfying their racist mind.

Lack of awareness:

People from other parts of India know very less or have no knowledge about the Northeast India. It is such a nature blessed region with kind hearted people which everyone must be aware of. Not knowing about a region present in one’s own country is not a proud thing. People in India must be educated about all the Indian regions so that they can know more about their country and embrace every difference they come across rather than discriminating and hating others for being different.

In a diverse country like India people don’t have any typical #Indian look. The feeling of belongingness should not be taken away from the fellow countrymen. Prejudices and stereotypes shouldn’t be made based on one’s appearance. People’s appearances differ in each region of our country and despite all the differences being united, accepting and respecting people and their culture for what they are is National Integration. Why all Indians are not called as just ‘Indian’ but are specified as North Indian, South Indian or Northeast Indian?   All the soldiers in the border belong to different region, culture, tradition etc., they protect the country to ensure the safety of all Indians and not a particular region or race alone. The feeling of Oneness despite any sort of difference will only make the country prosper.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT: “STILL A LONG WAY TO GO”?

“YOU CAN TELL THE CONDITION OF A NATION BY LOOKING AT THE STATUS OF ITS WOMEN”. . – JAWAHAR LAL NEHRU According to the provisions of the CONSTITUTION OF INDIA, it is a legal point to grant EQUALITY to WOMEN in all spheres of society just like male! THE DEPARTMENT OF WOMEN AND AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT functions well in this field for the PROPER DEVELOPMENT of the WOMEN AND CHILD in India. Women are given a top place in INDIA, from the ancient time, however they were not given EMPOWERMENT to participate in all areas. They were restricted to some areas only. BUT, the question here is,. “WHAT IS WOMEN EMPOWERMENT”? “WHAT IT’S LIKE TO EMPOWERING WOMEN”? Well, In simple terms,. WOMEN EMPOWERMENT IS “THE EMPOWERMENT OF WOMEN”. It is made up of two words: WOMEN AND EMPOWERMENT. EMPOWERMENT means to give power or authority to someone. Hence, It refers to making women POWERFUL to make them CAPABLE OF DECIDING FOR THEMSELVES, by breaking all personal limitations of society and family. IT MEANS “INCREASING THE POWER OF WOMEN”. Women have capabilities to make a world of difference in the great march of civilization. But, Today, “ARE WOMEN REALLY EMPOWERED”? “CAN THEY TAKE THEIR OWN DECISIONS”? “ARE THEY REALLY FREE”?

Well, The Answer is not “ALL OF THEM”. The Status of Women in India has been subject to many changes over the span of recorded Indian history. HISTORY says that WOMEN were ILL-TREATED. Their position in society deteriorated early in India’s ancient period, especially in INDO-ARYAN speaking regions, and their subordination continued to be refined well into India’s early modern period. Women have always been the most vulnerable and oft-explioted segments of the society in any age, any time, any place, and any society. They have been since ages VICTIMS of HUMILIATION, EXPLOITATION AND VIOLENCE. The SATI PRATHA in the ancient times to the GIRL CHILD ABOLITION in the present scenario, women continue facing such violence. But, It’s not like, that now People and Governments are oblivious about Their situation and condition.

There have been many provisions and schemes taken up by various Governments in their respective countries. In INDIA, GOVERNMENT has come up with many schemes such as, “BETI BACHAO, BETI PADHAO” YOJANA, MAHILA SHAKTI KENDRA, WORKING WOMEN HOSTELS, and many schemes in favour of them.

ARTICLE 15(3) mentions the welfare of women and children can be stated as,” Nothing in this article shall prevent the state from making any special provision for women and children”.

MINISTRY FOR WOMEN AND CHILD DEVELOPMENT has collaborated with FACEBOOK on NOVEMBER 19, 2019, to enhance digital literacy and online safety for women in India. The GOVERNMENT OF INDIA has taken the safety and empowerment of women into serious consideration. The growing injustice towards WOMEN had to be minimised and these schemes and their implementation are the solutions to this problem. Several Women have served in various senior official positions in the INDIAN GOVERNMENT, including that of THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA( MRS. PRATIBHA PATIL), THE PRIME MINISTER ( INDIRA GANDHI),CHIEF MINITERS(SUCHETA KRIPLANI), MEMBERS IN PARLIAMENT and THE SPEAKER OF LOK SABHA. This shows that GOVERNMENTS are becoming more and more active in amelioration of women’s condition in our society. However,. Many Women in India continue to face significant difficulties from many sectors. In some societies, WOMEN are still discriminated on the basis of GENDER. They are not given the same freedom as Men. Girls of many societies (especially in RURAL AREAS OF INDIA) are still not allowed to take a decision regarding their lives. What can a Government do with their schemes? If there are not many girls to adapt it. Discrimination against women is still deeply rooted within our Society. Women are still paid less, compared to men. Women are still strict by their culture and family. She cannot go out at nights, with or without a Guy! She cannot has a say in decision making. Even Today, in COMBODIA, WOMEN are determined or recognized by their husbands and Fathers. IS THIS THE EMPOWERMENT? WE OFTEN TALK ABOUT? IS THIS THE FREEDOM WE WANT TO ACHIEVE? No!!!! EMPOWERING WOMEN IS TO GIVE HER THE RIGHT! THE RIGHT TO PARTICIPATE EQUALLY IN SOCIETY, EDUCATION, IN DECISION MAKING. Women should be allowed HIGHER EDUCATION as men. Women should be allowed to decide whether she wants marriage of not!!! But Can we expect this in INDIA??

As THE UNION MINISTER HARDEEP SINGH PURI has rightly said, ” WOMEN EMPOWERMENT HAS COME A LONG WAY, BUT WE HAVEN’T ARRIVED YET”.

China’s Role In Coronavirus Outbreak

Scientists probing the origins of the coronavirus are wrapping up a lengthy investigation in China and have found “important clues” about a Wuhan seafood market’s role in the outbreak.

Peter Daszak, a New York-based zoologist assisting the World Health Organization-sponsored mission, said he anticipates the main findings will be released before his planned Feb. 10 departure. Speaking from the central city of Wuhan, where Covid-19 mushroomed in December 2019, Daszak said the 14-member group worked with experts in China and visited key hot spots and research centers to uncover “some real clues about what happened.”

Investigators want to know how the SARS-Cov-2 virus — whose closest known relative came from bats 1,000 miles away — spread explosively in Wuhan before causing the worst contagion in more than a century. Daszak said the investigation heralds a turning point in pandemic mitigation.

“It’s the beginning of hopefully a really deep understanding of what happened so we can stop the next one,” he said over Zoom late Friday. “That’s what this is all about — trying to understand why these things emerge so we don’t continually have global economic crashes and horrific mortality while we wait for vaccines. It’s just not a tenable future.”

Worldwide, Covid-19 has caused more than 105.7 million infections and 2.3 million deaths. The WHO was asked in May to help “identify the zoonotic source of the virus and the route of introduction to the human population, including the possible role of intermediate hosts.”

Lab Theory

The lack of a clear pathway from bats to humans has stoked speculation — refuted by Daszak and many other scientists — that the virus might have escaped from the Wuhan Institute of Virology, a maximum bio-containment laboratory studying bat-borne corona viruses.Scientists visited the lab and asked Shi Zhengli, who has collected and analyzed these viruses for more than a decade, about the research and the earliest known coronavirus cases

Scientists probing the origins of the coronavirus are wrapping up a lengthy investigation in China and have found “important clues” about a Wuhan seafood market’s role in the outbreaks.

Important Clues’

Subsequent research found earlier cases among people not linked to the market, undermining that theory. Investigators looked further and found “important clues” about the market’s role, Daszak said, declining to elaborate.

“Right now, we’re trying to tease everything together,” he said. “We’ve looked at these three strands separately. Now we’re going to bring it together and see what everything tells us.”

While the food market was shuttered and cleaned almost immediately after cases were recognized, “it’s still pretty intact,” Daszak said. “People left in a hurry and they left equipment, they left utensils, they left evidence of what was going on, and that’s what we looked at.”

Scientists in China who took environmental samples inside the market identified sites where traces of SARS-CoV-2 were detected, he said. Investigators also benefited from greater understanding of Covid-19.

We know now what we didn’t know then — that for every sick case, there were others that were asymptomatic or difficult to distinguish from a cold or cough,” Daszak said. “And so it’s not unexpected that there would have been other cases other than ones that got into hospital. But how many others, when did this start? That’s the sort of thing we’re still working on.”

Viruses are passed along “convoluted rivers of emergence” and tracing that journey is complicated and will take “a really long time,” Daszak said. “What I have seen already tells me that there are some real clues about what happened, and I hope that we’ll be able to make a solid explanation of that by the end of this trip.”

A memoir of school days

Life was simple and easy, when I was of 3 years and walked into school everyday. It was a time of fun and pain. The new environment away from my mother and father which made me uncomfortable but eventually made me feel happy. Soon time flew and I started growing mentally and physically. Few years later I was allowed to wrap my own books and pack my food, it gave me a sense of supremacy and pride to go to school. Sitting and having everyone’s lunch except mine and buying the delicious chocolates from the canteen will always hold a close place to me. As I grew, the pressure of exams also did. School was soon more of a headache than fun now. Every 2 months I would have to get up in the morning just to open the same book I had been reading for the past 20 days. Time flew and I saw myself in the class of a 12th grader. What? It’s my last year? I looked back at all the times I spent at the same campus having the same food, playing in the same ground. I could not bare the thought of leaving and graduating. Soon, I had my graduation day and it was going to be my last day as a part of the institution. It made me really nostalgic looking around at the group of people I had grown up with and now I will never mostly even see them again in my life.

I was glad to have experienced everything as right after the pandemic had struck and life had suddenly become so monotonous. Sitting at home doing nothing, I realized that school was the one which kept my hands busy and now I feel restless due to the absence of my friends and the environment. The place will always hold a very dear place in my heart and to all the people who were not able to go there for their final years due to the pandemic, Just cherish everything you had before, Trust me, It’s all worth it!

Amul vs PETA: What is the fight about?

PETA or People for Ethical Treatment of Animals has asked Amul, India’s largest co-operative milk producing industry to start producing vegan milk instead of animal milk, citing that Amul should change with time as plant-based milk is in high demand by the vegans (People who do not consume animal or animal products are known as vegans)

Amul published a myth buster against ‘plant-based milk’ and saying that plant-based milk should not be termed as milk because they do not fulfill the criterion to be termed as milk. Adding to it they said, that plant-based milk does not have any of the nutrients which are available in the milk of cows and buffaloes.

Even, FSSAI or Food Safety and Standard Authority India has set a regulation in 2017, preventing the use of the word milk in non-dairy or plant based products.

The milk industry is now around a controversial debate that techniques like artificial insemination, selective breeding and unnecessary lactating hormones are used upon the cows to get milk. Also, PETA stated how the dairy industry is the precursor for the beef industry.

Amul in return replied that their co-operative industry runs because farmers are the one who are providing milk to them and if they convert and start plant-based beverages then livelihoods of millions of farmers will end.

The fight between Amul and PETA, resulted in Amul writing a letter to the Prime Minister regarding banning of PETA in India.

Another fact to be noted is Indians are still reluctant to adopt veganism. The plant-based products are not really in demand in the Indian markets as they are in countries like United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand etc. Comparing animal milk and plant-based milk, Plant based beverages are double the price of the regular animal milk. Hence, most of the consumers choose animal milk over plant based milk because of the cheaper rate. Indian markets are not yet ready to change and adopt veganism as of right now.

We cannot take sides or decide who is right and who is wrong PETA or Amul.

But we do know as a matter of fact that, many companies have started selling plant-based beverages in Indian market example, Sofit, Epigamia, Urban Platter and GoodMylk but it would take some awareness and time to make Indians adopt veganism completely.

The government has said that a committee would be formed which would decide on the criteria on which the students would be awarded the marks.

The decision was taken in view of the still high number of cases due to the second wave of the pandemic as well as the chances of a third wave. The Chief Minister, M. K Stalin announced that the “Class 12 Board Examination for this year is cancelled.”

Tamil Nadu chief minister M K Stalin

on Saturday night announced cancellation of Class XII state board exams in view of the Covid-19 second wave in the state. The state government held discussions with parents, teachers, educationists, health experts and political parties in the past three days on conducting the exams. Though there were mixed opinion on conducting the board exams, all of them wanted to ensure the safety of the children. Covid-19 second wave is still raging in the state and health experts also predicted a third wave. However, the state government cannot vaccinate Class XII students as they are aged below 18 years,” chief minister said in a statement.

He said the state government was still firm on its policy of conducting Class XII admissions based on Class XII exam marks. “However, doctors say postponing the exam further will affect the students psychologically. Based on the medical advice and other recommendations, the state government is cancelling Class XII state board exams,” he said.

The state government has formed a committee headed by school education secretary Kakarla Usha to decide the modalities to award marks for admissions into higher educational institutions. Based on the committee’s report, the marks would be awarded and admissions would be based on these marks, Stalin said.

He said while the state government has cancelled the board exams in view of pandemic, it may not be feasible to conduct all India level entrance exams like NEET. “I have written a letter to the PM to cancel all entrance exams. Though the exams are cancelled in view of students’ health, we will ensure that admissions to higher educational institutions are not affected,” chief minister said them.

How to be a good listener?

Listening is a skill and everybody should have good knowledge of that. If you are attending a conference or a meeting, your listening skills will only make you outstanding in your team. Only when you listen you can interpret their ideas or you can revert back to that person. This is like an art and it can’t be mastered in a day. Lots of practice will make you a good listener.

Some people think listening can be easy and they can easily do it but when they attend a lecture or something they will get to know how bad they are at listening. We have to make a mindset that listening to them will increase our knowledge. Then only our brain will train itself to listen to the speech. When you simply think this lecture will be boring and it is of no use to you then the brain will automatically register this and you will find the lecture to be even more boring.

Ask more questions to the speaker if you really don’t know the topic they are speaking about. Only when you ask questions your doubt will be solved and you can register the content they are speaking. Don’t simply jump to a conclusion to the speaker’s words. Analyse and identify the key concepts and ideas of their speech. In this way, you are making mental notes in your mind.

You can also do introspection. Recording something of yours and listen to it and find whether you are able to get a clear image and grasp of it or not. In this way, you can find the fault. Because after you listen you might have to give your opinion. So, your speaking skills also will play a major role. Don’ ask questions desperately. Wait for the speaker to complete his/ her speech and get back to them. If you desperately ask without letting them finish their speech a bad impression will fall on you.

A good tip is to make an eye-contact with the speaker. This is the most important steps in listening. When you make an eye-contact they will get to know that you are actively participating there. In most countries, this step is considered a better one in listening.

You can relax for some time. But at the same time be attentive and listen to the person in front of you. Relaxing doesn’t mean that you can skip the part that the speaker is speaking. Instead don’t sit too erect. If you do this your muscles will become tight. So relax and listen to them.

Asking questions and interrupting is different. Don’t interrupt the speaker and give or impose your ideas on the speech they are giving. It is considered a bad habit in listening. If you find something really interesting and want to talk about it wait for them and let them finish the speech.

After listening you can give feedback to the speaker. Here you can tell the things you felt in their speech and the sentences or statements you liked. Give a genuine reply. Don’t just speak for the sake of giving feedbacks.

Why people love to work from home?

Work from home has become so popular in these covid times. Everybody is preferring to work from home as it is so comfortable and you can take care of your family as well. You can work at your flexible time. There is no office stress and travel expenses. You can better work-life balance. If you are a parent you can monitor your kids easily from the comfort of your home.

When you are supposed to travel for work to so many places it will cause stress due to pollution and the people you face. Now your job is like a freelancer. But your job is assured and you don’t have to do hunting and searching for clients. See the amount you saved by working from home. Many people travel to their workplaces either by using public transport or their own vehicles.

If you are travelling using public transport the cost will be less. But compared to that amount spent for the entire month the cost is high. And you will be not sure when the public transport will come and their timings. And you can’t adjust to it all the time.

If you are travelling by your own vehicle then you have to spend the money on fuel and nowadays fuel prices have become so high. and also pollution has become a major problem. And lots of vehicles have emerged nowadays which resulted in traffic. This leads to stress and due to traffic you will get late for your work. Getting late to the office will put your job at stake. And you have to face the angry wrath of your boss or manager.

But when you work from home you can join the meetings on time without any delay. The meeting time will be scheduled beforehand and all you have to do is make yourself prepared for the meeting on time. In this way your job is safe and the meeting will go smoothly without any interruptions. But, make sure you have a proper internet connection during the meeting. Because you can’t make any excuses for this. Having poor internet won’t look good during your meeting.

You love your home. Working in an environment that you love will give you a positive vibration and will give you the much-needed energy to finish your work. Some people hate office gossips so work from home is pure bliss for them. They can enjoy their work from a home facility more than going to the office and speaking with people without any interest. Not only introverts are like this. But, some extroverts may also hate this.

This will lead you to a happier and healthier lifestyle and you can spend your leisure time from the comfort of your home. Travelling to the office during climate changes will create havoc on your health. But if you work from home your health will be taken care of and at the same time, you can be at more peace.

This will help you to do physical exercises. Earlier when you go to the office on a daily basis you would have missed your exercise routine due to travel and other things. But, work from home will help you to schedule your lifestyle and you can execute it in a better-optimized way.

WHETHER WORK FROM MY HOME IS A BEST WAY

In India and all over the world the corona virus is spreading fast without any end. In India the government has told that all people must stay in house and do their work. The corona virus is most dangerous it is killing people many people are affected by it. Working in an office is a risk thing because there will be many people working if it comes to a person it may spread to others. So the government has instructed the officers to stay the workers from their house and work. The workers are affected by these things much because their working hours has no limit. They are given work after completing their work they only they are allowed to sleep. The officers of the company gave them leave in Sunday’s but they are not allowed to be free, if they get sick or if their family members they are not allowed to take leave any day without completing the work. Company officers are trying to make their losses into strength of their company which is happening during this pandemic situation. The corona virus has made their business into a loss they are trying to maintain the normal thing which was happening before corona time. The economy is going down it is now in minus it has to be in the good form. The lockdown and corona virus made this happen because if there is no lockdown and if we every people went to work this Economy will not be in loss. Economy is about each and everybody who works it is equal for their farmers, if they go to field only we get food and other things are exported through that also we are getting money. Economy is down because all over the world there is corona virus no one is trying to export or import because India is first. Vaccines and medicines we sent to other countries we didn’t keep anything for ourselves so we suffered. Many people because of work from home some are in other country, state and district itself. Some are happy because of work from home now government told that some can work in office with 50% of people. So the company is very slow because they couldn’t coordinate all the people in the office and work from home at a time. Companies are in a difficult situation that how to bring the company. Working from home so all our at home while meeting how a family can be quite a family means there will be some noises and sounds, but the companies are expecting that there must be no noise it is possible in office. They are having network issues and some are having laptops by seeing it closely and working for hours they are affected by eye sight. Many workers in the company are being stressed nowadays no one is in bench means without working. Due to this corona pandemic many have lost their jobs and those who are doing daily work and salary don’t know what to do for food and shelter. This corona virus has changed each one’s life a lot we have to break the chain and come out of this pandemic situation.

“ONLY WHEN WE THINK THAT WE CAN SUCCED WE WILL ACT SO LET’S THINK AND ACT”

India’s most dreaded yet dearest word

SEDITION

Sedition is a word that appears every day on news. The recent turn of events that made sedition the headlines was that the Supreme Court quashed the case of sedition filed against a journalist in Himachal Pradesh. He was accused of making remarks against the Prime Minister and the government’s handling of the migrant crisis that followed COVID- 19 lock down during the first wave last year in a video.
A sedition case was filed against him under section 124A of the IPC. The section penalises sedition as punishable with either imprisonment ranging from three years to a lifetime, a fine, or both. The Supreme Court once again as a saviour of constitutional rights quashed the case rendering his remarks as genuine criticism of the government. The Supreme Court reiterated the principles of the landmark case Kedarnath Singh versus union of India 1962. In landmark judgment the Supreme Court upheld the constitutional validity of sedition law while restricting its scope for misuse.

A walk through the history of sedition

Sedition law was enacted in India during the colonial era. It was the brainchild of England who believed that only good opinions of the government should survive. Macauley is credited with drafting the sedition law for the first time in 1837. In 1870 section 124A was introduced in Indian Penal Code. Many freedom fighters were booked under sedation. The first person was Bal Gangadhar Tilak, who was accused of writing seditious articles in his newspaper, Kesari. His judgement in Bombay High Court was passed by Arthur Strachey for the ‘seditious libel’.
The law survived in post-independence India. In the constituent assembly an attempt was made by K.M. Munshi, a strong supporter of free speech, to repeal the word sedition from the list of exceptions for rights to free speech under article 19 of the constitution. It was a successful endeavour however sedition remained functional under the Indian Penal Code.
From time to time the Supreme Court took charge to interpret the law vis-à-vis Brij Bhushan vs the state of Delhi (1950), Romesh Thappar vs the state of Madras (1950), Kedarnath Singh vs state of Bihar (1962) and Balwant Singh vs State of Punjab (1995). The landmark 1962 judgement upheld the constitutionality of sedition but limited its application. It defined that the thin line between ‘very strong speech’ and ‘vigorous words’ strongly critical of the government.
Presently, Section 124A of IPC states-

‘Whoever, by words, either spoken or written, or by science, or by visible representation, or otherwise, brains or attempts to bring into hatred or contempt, or excites or attempts to excite this affection towards the government established by law in India shall be punished with imprisonment for life, to which fine may be added, or with imprisonment which may extend to three years, to which fine may be added, or with fine’

What next?
Sedition cannot be repealed within a fortnight. It has a long history and will have a future as well. The best the government can do is the refrain from misusing it, the Supreme Court will remain the saviour of the people of India and us, the citizens should try to use freedom of speech in the best interest of the nation.

ODISHA- 1999 and afterwards

ODISHA- 1999 and afterwards

About nine hours away from Bhubaneswar, Bhawanipatna city is situated which is the district headquarter of Kalahandi which is one of the thirty districts present in Odisha. Long ago Bhawanipatna used to be the capital of the Kalahandi kingdom and the Kalahandi palace can still be seen there. Kalahandi had been ruled by the Naga dynasty for decades but it’s known not for the Nagas but for its poverty.

Phanas Punji of Amlapali village in Kalahandi sold her two-year-old sister-in-law for Rs. 40 to save her two starving children. To which Kapil Narayan Tiwari, a former MLA, said “Here, children are sold cheaper than channas, and the government, instead of rescuing the poor from hunger, is pressurizing them to deny the sale stories.”

This incident in the year 1985 shook the nation and soon Kalahandi caught up the lime-light. Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi visited Kalahandi with his wife Sonia Gandhi and made a remarkable statement that of every rupee spent by the government ,only 15 paise reached the intended beneficiary. These VIP visits highlighted the issues and suffering of Kalahandi but the ground reality remained somewhat unaffected. In a statement dated five months after the visit of Rajiv Gandhi Phanas Punji said “I am poorer after Rajiv Gandhi’s visit. Officials came once and gave me a sari (worth Rs.7) and 8 kg of grains, which was an insult to my poverty. The sari is still lying unused though I couldn’t keep the grains: my children were so hungry.”

But after almost twenty years when the media found Phanas Punji again, she was no longer a picture of penury and hunger. She was wearing decent clothes along with jewelry. And this improvement can also be verified with RBI data: in the year 1999, Odisha was the poorest state in India but in the year 2012 it jumped 5 positions ahead.

Odisha faced ignorance from it’s rulers in history especially in British era and even after independence which were considered to be the reason of it’s poverty. Not only poor governance but many-a-times extreme weather conditions ranging from cyclones to droughts were also considered to be reason. The famine of 1866 killed more than one million people. But many researchers believe that extreme weather conditions couldn’t be treated as the sole reason of poverty, poor governance and policies are equally responsible for the same. For example in a report of the 1866 famine stated that increased exports, hoarding and inadequate relief also contributed as immediate causes of people’s sufferings.

Till date seven Prime Ministers of independent India have visited Kalahandi to promise better policies. In-fact it is believed that Indira Gandhi got the inspiration of the slogan ‘Garibi hatao’ when she visited Kalahandi.

It should also be kept in mind that situations vary from place to place within Odisha as well. Odisha can broadly be divided into three parts i.e., North Odisha, South Odisha and Coastal Odisha. North Odisha is the area of mines whereas Coastal Odisha is full of cities and tourist attractions and South Odisha is a hilly area where most of the tribal communities reside.

Studies have shown that Coastal Odisha has almost half the poverty rate compared to other regions.

But situations began to improve in the twenty-first century. Economists showed in their studies that the average growth rate of Odisha rose to 8 per cent which immensely helped in the eradication of poverty.

The credit goes to the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, who has been the CM of the state of nineteen years now. Over the past two decades ‘The man who couldn’t care’ has transformed his image to a man who’s known for his simple lifestyle and generosity. But he didn’t just change his image but also changed the future of Odisha.

The main reason of economic development in Odisha was the rapid growth and improvement in it’s tertiary sector. Within the first decade of twenty-first century the share of tertiary sector in Odisha’s economy increased from 39 per cent to 49.8 per cent. And this wasn’t exclusive to Odisha. The tertiary sector of India was helping in rapid economic growth all over the nation and Odisha used the same for it’s economy.

At the same time, not only economic but Odisha also had social development. For example the first decade of this century saw a major dip in the infant mortality rate in Odisha.

The credit for these socio-economic development goes to three social initiatives of the state government i.e., 1. Mission Shakti and similar other programs where the women are provided with skills and facilities so that they can become more independent. Not only this but the CM also made women more politically independent by giving 33 per cent reservations in state assembly elections and 50 per cent reservations in the panchayat elections. 2. Disaster management model of Odisha which has been appreciated by the United Nations as well. The system developed after the super cyclone of 1999 worked it’s best when another such severe cyclone Phailin struck the state in the year 2013, and since then the state is the best cyclone ready state in the country. 3. The public distribution centers in Odisha avail the poor section with grains and Ahaar centers distribute cooked meal for the needy all at minimal costs which has brought down starvation due to poverty in the state.

With the implementation of many such policies CM Naveen Patnaik showed that development is possible even in extreme weather conditions. But it should also be noted that within the years inequality also rose in the state as major developments were limited to Coastal Odisha only. This could be possible because the growth in the tertiary sector of the state was mostly in the coastal regions. Another reason being mining which has also increased inequality. Studies have shown that the areas where mines are present are poorer than other areas. The reason behind this could be the fact that the major benefits obtained by mining go into the pockets of a chosen few.

The prevailing problems may indicate that people and organizations may demand betterment but the state has least politically active population contrary to the neighboring state of West Bengal where political activism within the masses remains at it’s peak mostly. A local journalist Kedar believes that Odisha has been a feudal place for centuries and thus the popular mentality of the people is that their leaders should think and do for them while they are not interested in governance etc. And this feudal system is still existent behind the veil where all major authorities like media etc., are controlled by a few families who entertain all the power.

Even after years of development, poverty is still the major problem of Odisha.’ Phanas Punji bristles at any stranger bearing even the faintest resemblance of a journalist or cameraman who might approach her. “Go away. You guys take my pictures and sell them for a price while I continue to wallow in poverty.” she says.’ reported the Indian Express on 6th September 2016.

Now the people of Odisha have started to take baby steps towards being active for the betterment of the state.

How To Deal a Bad Boss or a Bad Manager

We may always like to sit tight in an armchair dreaming up Utopias. Utopias are a generally ideal world where you get bosses who understand your needs and requirements. She appreciates you for your excellence and motivates you on your failure. She possesses the qualities of an excellent leader and is an invaluable asset for you.

Well, reality may be far from your fantasy. Here, you may have bosses who are cold, dominating and assertive. She may be someone who takes your credits and someone who cannot even spell the word a-p-p-r-e-c-i-a-t-i-o-n.

Whatever the case may be, you have to cope up with them. You cannot expect everyone to be kind and sensitive to your needs. Just go with the flow until you reach a new shore.

Best Ways To Deal With a Bad Boss

Communication

Your boss may not know that they are cold. Communicate with them and express your hankering. However, you may not always get a positive response. Sometimes, you may be targeted post haec. Therefore, always be on the safe side and try to communicate indirectly but efficiently.

Diagonal Communication May Work

You may find no use after communicating to your immediate head. In such cases, address your concerns to the managers or HR heads. Tell them what you feel about your boss and seek their advice.

Observe

Sometimes, your boss may not care about the duration of your break. Instead, they might be behaving coldly to preserve their ego or pride. Just to assert his position, he may be acting cold. If this is the case, you can act accordingly. So, observation is the key!

Personal is Personal And Professional is Professional

Do not let the coldness of your boss affect your professional work, duties and obligations in any way. Even if it is destroying your patience, stay on good terms with other leaders of your company. Being dull and taking breaks will only add insult to injury.

I am One Step Ahead Of You

If you feel that your boss is excavating problems to pull you in, stay a step ahead of her. Even before she assigns you something, try to understand your responsibilities and take up the work. Be mentally prepared and, it is always desirable to have a quality draft in hand.

Good Fences Make Good Neighbours

Even if your boss fails to respect boundaries, make sure that you are not like her. You know how it feels when someone acts as if there are no boundaries. Invest it in your life and practice.

Learn From The Past

While applying for another company, do thorough research to avoid falling into a bad boss labyrinth a second time. Establish relations with the starters of your target company and learn the workspace culture and employee-employer relations. Take care so that you do not appear creepy!

Coronavirus positive for lions

Asiatic Lion seeks the comfort of a shade in its enclosure at the Nehru Zoological Park as the temperatures are rising with the onset of summer in Hyderabad on Saturday.

Eight Asiatic lions at Hyderabad’s Nehru Zoological Park have tested positive for the deadly Coronavirus, perhaps the first known case of the human infecting the feline and making them sick in India.

Highly placed sources at the zoo told The Hindu that the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) informed the forest authorities over the phone that the RT-PCR tests of these big cats were positive. However, CCMB samples were collected from the animals concerned but it will take a few days to confirm.

The CCMB will carry out detailed investigation of the samples for genome sequencing to find out if the strain came from human beings or not.

The scientist cautioned the officials to take precautions and start the medication at the earliest. The zoo authorities are likely to conduct a CT Scan of the lions to know the impact of the infection on their lungs.

The Zoo Director and Curator Dr. Siddhanand Kukrety and VVL Subhadra Devi respectively did not respond to the repeated calls by this correspondent to deny or confirm the news officially.

However, another source on the 380-acre campus, which house more than 1,500 inmates, said that results from the CCMB will be submitted to Ms. Subhadra Devi in an hour or two, and to alert them the scientists have orally told the higher-up about the results.

“Yes, the lions were tested after displaying mild symptoms. As of now they are active and are doing well,” the officer said, adding that four male and four female big cats were housed in the 40-acre Safari area.

He said that on April 24, caretakers noticed that these big cats developed symptoms like dry cough, nasal discharge, and loss of appetite and soon alerted the veterinary team. Soon, the vets took oropharyngeal swab samples of the feline and sent them to CCMB, where the scientists are likely to do genome sequencing to find out if the strain came from human beings.

Currently, NZP, one of the biggest zoos in Asia, is closed for visitors as a precautionary measure. More than two dozen staffers at the zoo were tested positive for the virus.

Effective Time Management Techniques You Must Use

For you, being a member of this fast-moving world, there will be nothing like the time that wreaks mayhem in your brain. You might feel like twenty-four hours is not sufficient to work with efficiency and accuracy. You might feel highly stressed and exasperated, mostly worried about tomorrow and next week.

Having a night full of sweet dreams would be exotic to you. Also, forgetting things will be a common phenomenon in your life. Notwithstanding these stumbling blocks, an effective time management strategy is what you want. That is, you’ve to work smarter, not harder.

7 Ways to Improve Your Time Management Skills

Best Time Management Techniques That You Must Use As a Recruiter

Keep a Handy To-do List

Whenever you get recruiting assignments, just note down everything one by one in a diary or on your device. There are only two golden rules- firstly, note everything in the same place and secondly, keep your device/notebook handy. You will have to refer to it anytime from anywhere.

How To Write A To Do List That You'll Actually Stick To

Prioritising Need Over The Best

After creating a shabby to-do list having every single work mixed and jumbled up like an exasperating farrago, you now have to analyse and prioritise them. Your to-do list will be jumbled up like a maze. Keep four standards to analyse your to-do work, like:

  • P1: Top priority
  • P2: Secondary priority
  • P3: Can be put-off, tertiary priority
  • P4: Can be eliminated
Company Diversity a Big Priority for First Twilio CIO

The Time to Repair The Roof is When The Sun is Shining

After you prioritize your chores, plan how to execute them the next day. Always ensure that there is not more than five work in the P1 category. Every night, prioritise your work and make it ready-to-do for the next day. Likewise, every weekend, analyse the work that you’ve completed this week and what you’re planning to do the next week if any.

Intention Without Action is Useless

Make sure you do your work according to your plans and priorities. The top priority ones shall be done as soon as possible and it shall be the first work you do the next day. After completing the P1 activities, proceed to do the P2. If you have any time left to do the P3, then complete it one by one according to the internal order of precedence. Finally, you can eliminate the P4 activities.

Work-life balance in a pandemic: a public health issue we cannot ignore

Final Thoughts

It’s difficult to plan and is more difficult to implement. However, if you do your work in a fix amidst confusions and uncertainties, the result will be catastrophic. More and more sleepless nights with more and more forgetting episodes will juggle your life.

MENTAL HEALTH

Mental illnesses should not be thought of any differently from physical illnesses. In fact, I believe the two are inseparable. Because the whole body is connected and interwoven, the two cannot be separated. The brain is an organ just like everything else in the body and can be hurt like everything else. When the brain is ill, it is not isolated in just the brain, but instead affects the whole body and the overall wellness.

The stigma surrounding mental illness keeps people from getting the help they need to get better and causes them to hide their pain.

Mental health is important. It impacts how we feel, think, and behave each day. Our mental health also contributes to our decision making, problem solving, how we deal with stress, and how we can relate to others in our lives. That’s why, we have to always care about our own mental health.

Current research clearly identifies the importance of mental health to learning, as well as to students‘ social and emotional development. Students who experience positive mental health are resilient and better able to learn, achieve success, and build healthy relationships.

An emotionally fit person will always feel vibrant and truly alive and will easily manage emotionally difficult situations.

Mental illness does not mean that you’re going crazy, and one should not be ashamed of it. Our society needs to change its perception of mental illness or disorder. Mental illness is the instability of one’s health, which includes changes in emotion, abnormal thinking and behaviour

Receiving help is the most important thing anyone can do for themselves. But unfortunately, the stigma keeps people from getting help.  Mental illness should not be something to be ashamed about or thought of differently. When mental illness is treated equally to other illnesses, more people will have the courage to get help and better their lives.

We need to understand that being both physically and emotionally fit is the key to success in all aspects of life. Children should be educated about the importance of mental health, which would help them in breaking the stereotypes around mental health which today’s society has created.

A Year Into the Pandemic

Remember 2020? When the whole world was threatened by a terrible virus outbreak and nation-wide lockdown had to be imposed in many countries. When the healthcare infrastructure was crumbling under the load of increasing critical patients and the only way out of this was to stay at home, wear a mask and practice social distancing?

Well, these aren’t distant memories, because 2021 has brought another wave of Covid-19, this time much more severe and deadly. The symptoms have drastically changed owing to a mutated strain, and detection of the virus has become a lot more harder. The statistics and numbers look so vague to us, until this virus reaches our doorstep and infects someone we know.

Schools and colleges have been shut down, and studying has taken a new form through virtual platforms. Some are getting the chance to spend time with their family. Some are witnessing losses in business. Some are looking for a way out of poverty, since the pandemic destroyed their only source of livelihood. Some are suffering from this deadly virus and some are losing their dear and loved ones. This pandemic taught something new to every person and brought out different emotions from everyone.

Did we ever imagine that something as microscopic as a virus could lead to so many losses in the world? That a ‘normal viral infection’ could bring humanity down to its knees, and make us realize that this is a fight for survival. That we aren’t alone on this planet, we just inhabit this planet like many others.

This lockdown allowed nature to flourish. Animals reclaimed what was theirs and the sky could finally shed its true light, free from all the smoke and chemicals. Humans were silent and earth was blooming with colors again. Birds were surprised, yet happy, for how a bustling city had been turned into a silent place.

We have been thinking that this pandemic is a new enemy that mankind has to fight against, but the real enemy, right from the start has just been us. The wars that we have started, the violence that has been ravaging across different parts of the world and is now prevalent in almost every city.

We trust the government, the people-in-charge to help make things better. To help get things back to normal. Well, I want normal too. I want that normal where people live in peace and harmony, and help the world grow. I want that normal where we co-exist with nature and give back to the planet. I want that normal where soldiers and don’t die at the border every day.

How can can the world go back to ‘normal’ and still possess pain and cruelty?

It’s disturbing that bloodshed and barbarism has become so common. We know everything happening around the world, but now choose to view these incidents politically. Accusingly. Blindly.

It’s been a year into this pandemic, but it’s been decades since we managed to bring about any changes. With such little progress and so many mistakes, it feels like time flew away and now it’s too late for us to catch it.

Covid-19

Coronaviruses (CoV) are a large family of viruses that cause illness ranging from the common cold to more severe diseases such as Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS-CoV) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-CoV). A novel coronavirus (nCoV) is a new strain that has not been previously identified in humans.” This means that, in general, the human population has no acquired immunity to the new coronavirus and while most people who contract the virus will experience no or mild symptoms, some people will develop severe or even life-threatening symptoms.

The coronavirus —  labeled as COVID-19 by WHO — was first identified in the city of Wuhan in the Hubei province of China in December. Since it first emerged in China, COVID-19 has spread around the world and has now been identified in at least 157 countries. Researchers suspect the virus originated in an animal population – likely bats – and was transferred to humans via a secondary source. Symptoms include respiratory issues, fever, cough, shortness of breath and breathing difficulties. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure, and can even be fatal.

How can you prevent the spread of coronavirus and avoid infection? WHO recommends washing your hands regularly; covering your mouth and nose when coughing and sneezing; and cooking meat and eggs thoroughly. Most officials are recommending that people with symptoms stay home and self-isolate to avoid spreading the virus to others. In many countries, governments and medical communities have advised all people – with or without symptoms – to stay home and avoid large gatherings to prevent the spread of the disease, and some countries are temporarily shutting down schools and universities, as well as other facilities and restricting travel.

These measures are part of a widespread effort to slow and reduce the spread of the virus so that healthcare systems can provide thorough treatment and allow researchers, medical professionals, and government officials time to develop treatments and implement public health protocols. To best “flatten the curve” — a graphical representation of reducing the exponential spread of the virus — officials are urging people to stay at home.
