Various Types of Banking

Banking isย defined as the business activity of accepting and safeguarding money owned by other individuals and entities, and then lending out this money in order to conduct economic activities such as making profit or simply covering operating expenses. There are several different types of Banking, all serving different types of needs of the
customers, given following:

Branch Banking:

  • Branch banking is engaging in banking activities such as accepting deposits or extending loans at facilities or locations away from a bank’s home office or headquarter.
  • Branch banking allows a financial institution to expand its services to an area outside of the home location, functioning as an extension of the home location. It can be a more cost-effective approach because not all the locations are required to offer the same levels of services as the home location, allowing smaller offices to provide key services while larger locations provide additional services.
  • The advantage of branch banking is that it helps in better management, more inclusion and risk diversification.
  • The disadvantage of branch banking is that it might encourage outside local influences.

Unit Banking:

  • In unit banking, all the operations are performed from a single branch.
  • It is a limited way of banking where banks operate only from a single branch or a few branches in the same area taking care of the local population of that area.
  • The size of the unit banks is small as compared to branch banking.
  • Due to the small size of the Unit Banks, decision making is very fast as the management enjoys more autonomy and discretionary powers at their disposal.
  • Due to the single unit of the Bank, the risks are not diversified.
  • A customer having an account in a specified branch must undergo all banking activities through that branch

Mixed Banking:

  • Mixed Banking is the system in which banks undertake activities of commercial and investment banking together.
  • It can also be described as the dual functioning of investment banking and commercial banking.
  • These banks give short-term and long-term loans to industrial concerns. Industries donโ€™t have to run to different places for differential financial needs. Mixed Banking thus promote rapid industrialization.
  • Mixed Banking may however pose a grave threat to liquidity of a bank and lead to bad debts.

Wholesale Banking:

  • Wholesale banking involves banking services for high net-worth clients like corporate, commercial banks, mid-size companies etc.
  • It is provided by banks to organisations like Corporate Clients, Institutional Customers (such as pension funds & government agencies), International Trade Finance Businesses, Medium Scale Companies, Mortgage Brokers, Real Estate Developers and Investors and services offered to other banks or financial institutions.

Retail Banking:

  • Retail banking means where banking transactions are held directly with customers. The Bank provides all kinds of personal banking services like savings accounts, current accounts, transactional accounts, mortgages, personal loans, debit and credit cards etc. to the customers directly.
  • Retail banking is the type of banking that is visible to general public.

Universal Banking:

  • The concept of Universal Banking was conceptualized by R.H. Khan in India.
  • Universal banking is a system of banking under which big banks undertake a variety of banking services like commercial banking, insurance, investment banking, merchant banking, mutual funds etc.
  • It involves providing all the above services to the customers under one roof by financial experts who can handle multiple financial products.
  • This makes the banking operations economical and boosts investorconfidence. However, if these kinds of banks fail, it costs huge losses as well as causes a huge dip in consumer confidence.

Virtual Banking:

  • Virtual Banking refers to a banking system wherein the Banking operations are performed online.
  • One of the biggest advantages of Virtual Banking is that Banking operations become very cost effective as banks donโ€™t need to have physical offices.
  • Low Banking operations costs are passed on to the customers by the Banks in the form of waiver of fee or offering higher rate of interests on accounts.
  • The Indian markets still have fears instilled in them with respect to virtual banking and they consider branch banking more suitable as they can visit the branch and be assured of their transactions.

Chain Banking:

  • Chain banking system refers to the type of banking wherein a group of persons come together to own and control three or more independently chartered banks.
  • Despite of common control and ownership, each of the banks can maintain their individual existence and operations.
  • The banks in the chain are assigned different functions so that there is no overlapping of interests and no loss in profits of the respective banks.

Correspondent Banking:

  • Correspondent Banking is considered the most profitable way of doing business as the Banks do not have any physical presence or any limited permissions in respect to Banking operations.
  • Correspondent banks thus act as banking agent for a home bank and provides various banking services to customers where otherwise the home bank does not operate.
  • It helps Banksโ€™ customers perform banking operations and transactions at any place with ease without the physical presence of their Bank branches there.

Understanding White Collar Crime.

Necessity is always the main reason behind commission of a crime. But it is not so in every case.

What is White Collar Crime?

When a person of high status and respectability commits crime to fulfill his personal or economic gains is known as White Collar Crime. Such crimes takes place not because of need but greed.

Nature of White Collar Crimes and Criminals

As compared to other crimes for financial gains like robberies, theft, burglaries etc., white collar crimes causes great amount of financial loss. Such crimes can can destroy a company, families by taking away their life savings or cost investors a thick sum of money. White Collar Crimes have been taking place in a large scale for the last few years and are often seen to be committed in famous organizations.

White Collar Crimes are difficult to detect in the initial times because the criminals belonging to the reputable groups of the society does the evil activities quite tactfully with proper planning and execution. Although such crimes does not apply violence or physical force yet it deceives people and shatter their life long hardwork in one go.

A very famous example of White Collar Crime that could be cited is that of the fraud case of Nirav Modi. The Nirav Modi scam created a wave of chaos in the country when the Punjab National Bank (PNB), one of the largest public sector lenders found itself amidst Rs 11,400 crore transaction fraud in Feb 2018. Having received complaints against Nirav Modi by PNB, the CBI started investigating the case. Meanwhile, Modi left the country avoiding arrest.

White Collar Crimes in certain professions

Medical professional : A great amount of white collar crimes can be seen in the medical professional which includes issuance of fake medical certificates, selling of unlicenced drugs, intended prolonged treatments to increase bills, sex determination of unborn child in the womb and such other similar activities.

Engineering profession : In the Engineering profession as well, maintenance of false records of work – charged labours, construction of roads, bridges etc with below standard materials, unethical dealings with contractor and suppliers can be seen.

Legal profession : In the legal profession, violating the expected standards of the legal profession to earn monetary gains, framing false evidences to punish the innocent etc is very common.

Educational institutions : Submission of fake details about an institution to enjoy financial aids from the government, asking for huge sum of money as donation comes under the category of white collar crimes.

The intensity or effect of white collar crimes are not felt immediately or maybe directly to an extent, yet it greatly hamper the economy of the country in the long run.

How to combat White Collar Crimes?

Controlling White Collar Crime is no less than a challenge for the authorities because the criminals belong to the most powerful groups of the society.

Public awareness should be created on a large scale about these crimes through media platforms and other audio-visual aids.

Strict regulatory rules, improvement of criminal law, unbiased and impartial prosecution of the accused should be done along with drastic punishment for such criminals should be made compulsory.

If White Collar Crimes keeps on taking place in the society, very soon the society would faces its worst consequences. We, as responsible citizens of the country should always be alert and raise our voice if we come across any cases of such crimes in our surroundings.

Biofuel and its Types: An Overview

Biofuel is a renewable fuel, which can be used as an alternative to fossil fuels. They are produced from biomass- plant or algae material or animal waste. These sources of biofuel are also known as feedstock. A few examples of feedstock used to produce biofuels are: Vegetable/ Edible Oils (like Canola oil, Safflower oil), Non-Edible Oils (like Almond oil, Salmon oil), Animal fat (Lard, Tallow) and other sources such as Algae, Fungi and Bacteria.

There are four categories in which Biofuels are classified. They are: First Generation, Second Generation, Third Generation and Fourth Generation.

  • First Generation Biofuels: They are made from starch, sugar or animal fats using conventional methods such as fermentation, distillation and transesterification. Hence, they are also called conventional biofuels.
  • Second Generation Biofuels: They are made from woody biomasses as well as agricultural residues and wastes like corn stalk and bagasse.
  • Third Generation Biofuels: They are made from oil extracted from algae.
  • Fourth Generation Biofuels: They are made from electro fuels and solar fuels. Electro fuels are obtained by storing electricity produced from renewable sources in the chemical bonds of liquid or gaseous fuels. Solar fuels are obtained from common materials (example: Carbon dioxide) by the action of solar energy.

There are four common types of Biofuel. They are Bioethanol, Biodiesel, Biogas and Biobutanol

Bioethanol

It is a type of biofuel used as an alternative automobile fuel source. It is produced from feedstocks like sugarcane, algae, corn or various other biomass. The feedstocks are treated with enzymes and undergo the process of fermentation. Bioethanol, along with carbon dioxide, is a by-product released during the whole process. It is majorly used as an alternative fuel to gasoline in internal combustion vehicles.

Advantages of Bioethanol:

  • Ethanol undergoes complete combustion and hence bioethanol burns more clearly in air than petroleum fuels
  • It is a renewable energy resource
  • Any fuel spills are more easily biodegradable

Disadvantages of Bioethanol:

  • Typical automobile engines may need to be modified to use biofuel
  • The production process is slightly expensive
  • Some amount of carbon dioxide gets released along with bioethanol in the production process

Biodiesel

Biodiesel is obtained from natural sources such as triglyceride containing vegetable oils and animal fats. It is produced by transesterification. It is used in vehicles, aircrafts, railways, as a heating oil and for cleaning oil spills. The structure of biodiesel is similar to that of petroleum diesel fuel. Apart from that, in engines, it operates similarly to petroleum diesel fuel. Thus, it can be used easily in engines requiring little modifications to the engines.

Advantages of Biodiesel:

  • It helps to lubricate the engine which in turn decreases engine wear
  • It does not have sulfur content hence it doesnโ€™t contribute to acid rain

Disadvantages of Biodiesel:

  • Biodiesel can release nitrogen oxide which can lead to the formation of smog
  • Its cost varies according to feedstock used and market conditions

Biogas

Biogas is a renewable energy source; a natural fuel. It is produced from raw materials such asย agricultural waste,ย manure,ย municipal waste,ย plant material,ย sewage,ย green wasteย orย food waste. It is produced by the aerobic digestion of organic matter. Biogas comprises of primarilyย methane (CH4), carbon dioxide (CO2) and may have small amounts ofย hydrogen sulfide (H2S), moisture andย siloxanes.

Advantages of Biogas:

  • The slurry produced after the production of biogas can be used as manure
  • There is less emission of greenhouse gases
  • It is a renewable energy source as it is produced from waste which gets generated everyday in enormous quantities
  • It is a healthier alternative to the use of firewood for cooking in rural areas

Disadvantages of Biogas:

  • The production process is temperature dependent, as the bacteria need a temperature of around 37ยฐC for digestion. As a result, in areas with a cold climate, there is an extra requirement of heat supply
  • Biogas contains methane, a highly flammable material. If proper care is not taken while handling, it may come into contact with oxygen and violently produce carbon dioxide
  • Despite purification, biogas still contains impurities which may lead to metal corrosion
  • It is unable to be used on a large scale as there is no efficient production system

Biobutanol

Biobutanol is an alcoholic biofuel gaining traction. It is produced by the fermentation of sugar in biomass through the action of microbes. Clostridium acetobutylicum is a commonly used microorganism species. The sugars then get broken down into various alcohols, including butanol. Since it is obtained from biomass it is called Biobutanol. Its major use is as a fuel in internal combustion engines. It also shows potential as an industrial solvent.

Advantages of Biobutanol:

  • Biobutanol has a low vapor pressure, which means that it has a low volatility and a lower risk of evaporation
  • It has fewer emissions than other petroleum fuels. Compared to gasoline, it reduces carbon emissions by 85%

Disadvantages of Biobutanol:

  • The yield obtained and the speed of production are partially dependent on the microorganism used
  • The separation of butanol from the fermentation broth is slightly costly

In the age of global warming, it is necessary for governments and scientists to carry out more research into different biofuels and ways to harness them efficiently. This will not only reduce global warming to an extent, but also helps conserve fossil fuel and build towards a healthy and green future for our planet.

Fights with your Friends

Friendship has a different meaning for everybody around the world. Over the time of your life, you made friends and they are your chosen family, you cannot just walk past them. Even if you are an Introvert (like me) you always have that one friend you run to for your problems no matter how idiotic their advice is, and if you are an extrovert you have many friends but there is one friend for you people too who you run to for your idiotic advice.

Every friendship goes through their ups and downs, and somewhere or the other I think its important that friendship goes through that. Sometimes, after a fight you realise that how much important that particular friend is to you and how you don’t want to lose them.

Friends fight; it’s inevitable. You will even find yourself arguing with your best friend more than anyone else. That doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not your truest BFF. Sometimes, it’s the little arguments that are over before you even know it that end up bringing you all the more close

But why fight in the first place, might you ask? If they’re your BFF, shouldn’t you always be on cloud nine having the time of your life? Sure, but a true friendship needs to learn and grow on both ends. A great friendship requires some tough love and growing pains. Like any other relationship you care about, it goes through its rough patches in order to improve.

Here are seven reasons why you fight with your bestie more than anyone else.

1. You Can Be Brutally Honest With Each Other

The truth can hurt, but sometimes you really need to hear it. Your best friend feels comfortable enough confronting you on issues that most people would just bottle up and let them fester. Your BFF can be brutally honest, but they wouldn’t tell you something just to outwardly hurt you. They know in their heart that telling you is more important than any backlash they’ll receive from dishing out the truth. It’s just like a Band-Aid; you have to quickly rip it off, and you want your bestie to do that for you.

2. You Don’t Walk Away From Each Other

You can walk away from anyone else you argue with, but you stay with your BFF and fix it. You can’t let an argument go unresolved, or it will ruin your entire day. You may take a breather to calm down, but you never leave each other angry.

3. You Only Want What’s Best For Each Other

You will do everything in your power to help your best friend get what they want, but sometimes, you know what your friend wants isn’tย actuallyย what’s best for them. For example, maybe it’s a boyfriend who is actually horrible or a job that’s totally toxic. You will be there for them when they need you, but you can’t fake the support if you don’t think it’s what’s best for them.

4. You’re So Much Alike

You and your best friend are so much alike that at times it can be scary. It’s great that you have a lot of the same interests and personality traits, but that can be hard, too. You’re so much alike, your personalities may clash at times. If you’re both headstrong, it can make fights last a little longer because no one is willing to back down. But in the end, you always end up finding a compromise.

5. You Go To Them When You’re In A Bad Mood

You go to your bestie when you’re in a bad mood and want to vent. They’re perfect for you to let out all of your tension from a hard work day or frustrating rush hour traffic. They’re your sound board, but sometimes you’re just too far into your bad mood that you can even take it out on the people just there to listen. It happens to the best of us.

6. You Spend So Much Time Together, It’s Bound To Happen

I’m not a statistics genius, but I will say it makes sense that since your BFF is the person you spend the most time with, you’re bound to get into more fights with them. Your time spent with them, over the probability of a fight to happen, translates to these chances being higher than anyone else’s. Even though you may loathe it, you can’t argue with math.

7. Your Jealousy May Get The Best Of You At Times

Jealousy is like the evil queen in any friendship fairytale. It triesย separate you two, but you won’t let it win. You may get jealous because your BFF is spending time with another friend, or she isย using all her spare time with a new boyfriend. The jealousy will make you fight, but you’re only fighting because you want your BFF’s time all to yourself. In the end, you’ll defeat the jealousy and live happily ever after.

Money ๐Ÿ’ฐ

It is not a theory not a concept which you can learn but a story with many emotions , unfortunately without words . A life of middle class family is just like this it seems that they have everything but the truth is everyone is suffering . The faces of the members seem to be happy but inside it there dreams are suffocating like a bird without wings . In this era where everyone is suffering to make there name to be written in golden words there are some of them who are killing there dream because of money and peer pressure , since no one is there to understand there dream and support them . The middle class family always suffer as they are neither poor hence no reservation in any colleges nor rich to pay the college fees . The middle class family always live in dilemma .There family is not enough educated which can understand the dream of their child or by chance if they can understand then no financial help can be provided . And the education nowdays are becoming so costly that if anyone dream to get higher education then they have to think hundred times to do or not . ”I have to live for others not for myself that’s the middle class morality”

Education

Higher education is becoming difficult as the time passes ,it’s difficult for everyone poor people suffers from money whereas some rich people suffers from lack of interest but both of them might suffers from peer pressure , society pressure and status pressure . Our country is developing and it has maximum youngsters which lead to competition among citizens for jobs .More talent more degrees more will be the chances to be on the front row of competition . Our country has very talented youngsters but some didn’t get platform or some didn’t get support . This issue should be solved by our government our country is young and cheerful if they get proper harvesting then it is good for our country . For ex , every year almost 15 lakh students give the entrance exam neet for mbbs but only 1 lakh got selected , India needs doctor and there are plenty of student interested in it but due to lack of colleges they even didn’t got a chance . So our government should give a thought about this . As dream is for everyone and everyone has right to achieve it .

5 best documentaries to watch right now

With regards to film and TV, there are a few things you in all likelihood believe are simply commonly utilized time and again. It very well may be the acceptable young lady adores the terrible kid, or how the scoundrel appears to consistently hold a type of European articulation. In any case, the one figure of speech which appears to be way abused? The possibility that a narrative can be downright old exhausting.

Fortunately, in advanced Hollywood, that thought can without much of a stretch be crushed, on account of some great subjects. Regardless of whether you’re observing how a significant FBI examination went down or the inward activities of the beginnings of a pandemic (yupp, you read that right), instructive media isn’t only for the affected film understudy, or the parent who’s remaining up observing late-night TV. Indeed, they may highlight a VIP (or three) whose biography you didn’t knowโ€ฆuntil now.

look at some great documentaries that you can watch:

‘Framing Britney Spears’– Since the time she came up in the last part of the 1990s, Britney Spears has changed the manner in which we pay attention to popular music. In any case, one thing hinders her: a conservatorship put on her in 2008. In this narrative, follow the vocalist’s ascent to notoriety, all while understanding the legitimate misfortunes she’s gone through to get to where she is today.

‘Demi Lovato: Dancing With the Devil’– Demi Lovato is no more abnormal to being at the center of attention. However, after their 2018 excess, the pop star chose to archive their life as they chipped away at recuperation. With private meetings from loved ones, it’s an enlightening investigate what injury means forever.

‘Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal’– Netflix brings watchers into one of the most abnormal FBI outrages in the 21st century. From finding out about the man behind it, to the sentences of renowned entertainers like Lori Loughlin, prepare to bring a profound plunge into the existences of the exceptionally special individuals who misled the framework.

‘Pelรฉ’– As quite possibly the most well known soccer stars to play the game, fans could never know about the troublesome in the background minutes Pelรฉ went through to accomplish his three World Cup titles. While it finishes the Brazilian competitor his ascent to notoriety, it’s the political struggle bound through it that makes this narrative convincing. Gracious, and relax in case you’re not a soccer fanโ€”it’s as yet an extraordinary film to watch.

‘Kid 90’– During the 1990s there was a gathering of well known youngster stars all attempting to make it in Hollywood while at the same time needing to be teens. Entertainer Soleil Moon Frye caught everything on home tapes, and presently, we will see a close gander at probably the greatest stars today. What’s more, yesโ€”Mark Wahlberg and Leonardo DiCaprio are among those included.

ONLINE EDUCATION – ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES

Due to the devastating pandemic education has changed dramatically, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms. Globally, over 1.2 billion children are affected in school closures or are out of the classroom. Even before COVID-19, there was already high growth and adoption in education technology, with global tech investments reaching US$18.88 billion in 2019 and the overall market for online education projected to reach $350 Billion by 2025. Whether it is language apps, virtual tutoring, video conferencing tools, or online learning software, there has been a significant usage since COVID_19.

ADVANTAGES of ONLINE EDUCATION

  • Online class are convenient – The biggest advantage of online class is that everything is available to you. You can get announcements, access notes, review assignments, take practice quizzes, discuss questions, chat with fellow students. Other than certain due dates, you make your own schedule for completing the requirements of the class.
  • Online class offer flexibility – Online class gives flexibility to spend time with work, family, friends or any other activity you like.
  • Online class bring education right to your home – Children may take interest in online environment. Parents may look over the shoulder of an online student while they are surfing across the web. In shorts, everyone in the household gets involved in learning. Having the support of your family and friends makes you more likely to succeed.
  • Online class offer more individual attention – Many students aren’t comfortable asking questions in class for fear of feeling stupid. Many times you think of a question after class or while you are studying. Rather than trying to remember to ask it or forgetting it, you can send an e-mail to the instructor, your opportunity to learn is enhanced.
  • Online class have financial benefits – Although you may think that buying computer and paying for internet access is pretty expensive, consider what if would cost you in gas and parking each month if you were driving to campus. Consider the costs of eating out versus eating at home. Consider the costs of pet-care or any other care that you need to provide while you are away from home. These are very tangible benefits of having access to education at home.

DISADVANTAGES OF ONLINE EDUCATION

  • Online class require more time than on-campus classes – You will spend more time studying and completing assignments in the online environment than you will in an on-campus classes. The online environment is text based. To communicate with your instructor and other students, you must type messages, post responses and otherwise communicate with your fingers. Typing is slower than speaking. Each word you type it and compare the difference if you had spoken the same.
  • Online class require good time-management skills – An internet based class demands that you develop personal time-management skills. Online class require the self-discipline to set aside chunks of time to complete your studies. It means you have to make online studies priority and not let other activities interfere.
  • Online class give you more freedom, perhaps, more than you can handle – This freedom can be dangerous if you don’t learn how to handle it.
  • Online class requires you to be responsible for your own learning – Only you are responsible for your learning. You might not take responsibility for your studies and your goals.

Not Without My Daughter

To be honest, I believe the book is a must read. The book narrates an amazing story of courage, determination, and on the top mother’s love. This book is an autobiography of Betty Mahmoody and her struggles to escape from the traps of her husband. The writer of the book was BettyMahmoody herself. This book also had a sequel “Lost without my daughter” written by her husband Dr. Sayyed Bozorg Mahmoody. You might wonder what was the logic behind naming this book as “Not Without My Daughter”. But as you will go on reading the book you will understand the title in a better way.

So basically, this story is an autobiography of the writer itself. The writer and an American woman, Betty married an Iranian man named Dr. Sayyed Bozorg Mahmoody in 1977. Both of them lived in America and these two also gave birth to a baby girl and named her Mahtob. Everything was perfect and they were having a happy family until the year 1984. This year was just the beginning of a dark period in Betty’s life. In 1984, Betty along with her husband and 8 year old daughter Mahtob went on a two week vacation to Iran. Or should I say a vacation which was supposed to be for two weeks? A vacation that was supposed to be a happy holiday? Alas, it was not the scenario here.

mahtob-and-betty-mahmoody-my-name-is-mahtob
Betty Mahmoody and Mahtob Mahmoody

What is exactly there in the book that makes the vacation terrible?

During these days, it was wartime going on between America and Iran. Iran was highly unsafe to live in because nobody knew when will a bomb hit their houses or the roads they are walking on. When Betty and her family arrived at the Iran Airport, the very first thing that happened to her was that she and her daughter’s passports were taken by Moody’s (Betty’s husband) family. So the two weeks passed happily and finally time to depart from Iran arrived. Sooner Betty realized that instead of a guest she was a hostage in Iran. And then, from here the real story begins.

Betty didn’t want to spend the rest of her life in Iran. She started finding ways to escape. It was the dark period of her life. She lived in Iran for over a year where she didn’t even have the freedom to leave the house without Moody’s permission. She got a lot of opportunities to escape Iran but they didn’t let her take her daughter along with her. And hence, she always denied saying one thing i.e. “not without my daughter”. She took help from a lot of people who were actually kind to her and wanted to help her. And finally, she met the angel of her life who could get her out of the jail.

The final escape

While Mahtob (Betty’s daughter) was busy playing in the park, Betty encountered Judy. Judy was another American woman married to an Iranian man living in Iran. Judy promised Betty to help and invited her to a party where she can arrange a meeting with Rasheed. Rasheed knew a few smugglers who could help Betty’s escape and asked Betty to call after 2 weeks. After 2 weeks, Rasheed on a call with Betty and said that the smugglers are unwilling to smuggle a kid. After some time Betty got into contact with an unnamed individual who instructed her to meet Amahl. Amahl was trying to find ways to help Betty and one day he planned an escape plan.

The smugglers took Mahtob and Betty to a small village beyond Tabriz. Finally, they crossed the mountainous range of the Turkey border and finally reached Ankara. From there, they met the American embassy, got their passports, and finally, found their way back to America.

Last words

Sayyed Mahmoody said that a lot of incidents in the book were false claims and irrelevant. He also wrote a book ‘Lost without my daughter’ wherein he said that he was not a terrible father as shown in the book. But undoubtedly the determination of Betty and the courage she took are absolutely appraisable. She took some real-life risks but somehow her will and courage didn’t stop her from achieving success. I recommend everyone to read this book because everyone should appreciate the struggle of an independent woman and a mother.

Microprocessor-8085

8085 is pronounced as “eighty-eighty-five” microprocessor. It is an 8-bit microprocessor designed by Intel in 1977 using NMOS technology.

It has the following configuration โˆ’

  • 8-bit data bus
  • 16-bit address bus, which can address up to 64KB
  • A 16-bit program counter
  • A 16-bit stack pointer
  • Six 8-bit registers arranged in pairs: BC, DE, HL
  • Requires +5V supply to operate at 3.2 MHZ single phase clock

It is used in washing machines, microwave ovens, mobile phones, etc.

Architecture of 8085 microprocessor

8085 is an 8-bit, general purpose microprocessor. It consists of following functional units:-

ย

Block Diagram of 8085 Microprocessor
  1. Arithmetic and Logic Unit (ALU):
It is used to perform mathematical operations like: addition, multiplication, subtraction, division, decrement, increment, etc.

  2. Flag Register:
It is an 8-bit register that stores either 0 or 1 depending upon which value is stored in the accumulator.

  3. Accumulator:
Accumulator is used to perform I/O, arithmetic and logical operations. It is connected to ALU and internal data bus.

  4. General Purpose Registers:
There are 6 general purpose registers. These registers can hold 8-bit values. These 8-bit registers are B, C, D, E, H, L. These registers work as 16-bit registers when they work in pair like: B-C, D-E, H-L.

  5. Program Counter:
Program Counter holds the address value of the memory to the next instruction that is to be executed. It is a 16-bit register.

  6. Stack Pointer:
It works like stack. In stack, the content of register is stored that is later used in the program. It is a 16-bit special register.

  7. Temporary Register:
It is a 8-bit register that holds data values during arithmetic and logical operations.

  8. Instruction registers and decoder:
It is a 8-bit register that holds the instruction code that is being decoded. The instruction is fetched from the memory.

  9. Timing and control unit:
The timing and control unit comes under the CPU section, and it controls the flow of data from CPU to other devices. It is also used to control the operations performed by the microprocessor and the devices connected to it. There are certain timing and control signals like: Control signals, DMA Signals, RESET signals, Status Signal.

  10. Interrupt control:
Whenever a microprocessor is executing a main program and if suddenly an interrupt occurs, the microprocessor shifts the control from the main program to process the incoming request. After the request is completed, the control goes back to the main program. There are 5 interrupt signals in 8085 microprocessors: INTR, TRAP, RST 7.5, RST 6.5, RST 5.5

  11. Address bus and data bus:
Data bus is bidirectional and carries the data which is to be stored.  Address bus is unidirectional and carries location where data is to be stored.
  12. Serial Input/output control:
It controls the serial data communication by using Serial input data and Serial output data.

Working of 8085 Microprocessor

Now after having an idea about the functional units of the 8085 microprocessor, let us proceed further to understand the operation of the 8085 microprocessor.

We already know that the function of a microprocessor is to execute instructions. Also, to execute an instruction, it first needs to beย fetchedย thenย decodedย and thenย executed. And to fetch an instruction, firstly the address of the instruction must be known.

The address of the instruction is present in the program counter. This address is then placed on the 16-bit address bus and is then forwarded towards the memory. From the memory, the instruction present at that memory location is fetched through the 8-bit data bus.

Here, in the above figure, we can clearly see that we have combinedly used data bus and address bus so as to reduce the number of lines. As we know that at a particular time the processor will access either the data bus or the address bus.

Further when the instruction is fetched from the memory, then through internal buses the instruction is provided to theย instruction register. At this particular point of time fetching the instruction from the memory is over.

Now, itโ€™s time for the processor to decode the instruction. So, it is then fed to the instruction decoder.

We already have the idea that both data and instruction in the memory is stored in the form of an opcode. So, the fetched opcode is analyzed by the instruction decoder present inside the processor in order to execute the instruction.

But, a noteworthy point over here is that, after an instruction is fetched from the memory, then PC increments itself thereby providing the address location of the next instruction. As PC does not play any role in decoding and executing.

However, after execution of first instruction, the next is fetched form the memory.

Now, this is all about fetching and decoding, now what about the execution of the instruction.

In the above figure, we can see theย timing and control circuit. This circuit basically sends the control signals to the various units of the microprocessor to execute the instruction.

Suppose, the instruction is ADD A and B. This simply tells the ALU to add the data present in B register with the data present in accumulator i.e., A register. But, in 8085 the decoded instruction is simplyย ADD B. So, automatically, the ALU adds the value present in the accumulator with the data in register B.

Also, in 8085 the outcome of the operation is storedย register Aย ย which is nothing but an accumulator.

Further when an instruction ADD C is decoded by the 8085, then data at C register is added to the data present in register A and is stored at register A. Due to such cumulative action, register A is termed asย anย accumulator.

Basically, the timing and control circuit timely sends the signals to the accumulator to release its value for proceeding execution. Also, this timing and control circuit sends signals to theย register selectย that tells it to choose the particular register.

Once the data is fetched from a particular register then it is stored in the temporary register and it is used by the ALU. It is to be kept in mind that aย programmer can only access the general purpose registerย as the temporary register is used by the processor to hold the 2ndย operand of the operation.

Now, once the operation is executed, then the result is fed to the accumulator through the data bus. But a flag register is also present that holds the status of the result present at the accumulator.

As we have also discussed in the functional unit that a flag register holds a sign, carry etc. related information of the generated result.

After every instruction executionย performed by the ALU, theย status of the flag register gets changed. So, ALU produces the result and its status simultaneously after each operation.

As we have already discussed thatย W and Zย are the temporary registers but these are not accessed by the programmer as both are used by the processor to hold the temporary value stored by it.

So, this is all about the block diagram and working of 8085 microprocessor.

Applications of 8085 microprocessor

8085 finds its major applications in programmable calculators as well as in numerical control and environment monitoring systems. These are also used in switching, banking and financial systems.

Will Enterprise Application Platforms be dominated by Cloud Computing?

Cloud computing has recently gotten a lot of press, and it’s being hailed as the way of the future for enterprise applications and database administration. We rely on remote servers for database storage when using cloud-based database services, so we don’t have to worry about maintaining any on-premises infrastructure.

Thanks to the cloud’s initiatives to promote mobile access to data and applications, people can now access data and applications on the go. Cloud computing today makes it possible to keep everyone in the loop, no matter where they are or when they are doing so. It makes no difference where our employees and workforce are because of the cloud. It is still possible for everyone to remain connected.

In 2021, cloud computing, which supported the global economy, global supply chains, and distant workforces throughout the coronavirus pandemic, will remain a critical target for businesses seeking enhanced scalability, business continuity, and cost effectiveness.โ€œThe ramifications of COVID-19 will persist far into 2021, as businesses seek to establish the groundwork for more agility,โ€ said Dustin Milberg, field chief technology officer for cloud services at InterVision, a Santa Clara, Calif.-based IT service provider and AWS Premier Consulting Partner. โ€œBecause of the benefits of greater accessibility, scalability, and flexibility, cloud will be a primary focus in this goal.โ€

Future of Cloud

No one can forecast the future, but we can make educated guesses based on present trends and usage. Here are some cloud computing predictions:

Data is being generated in large quantities today, making secure storage problematic. The majority of businesses demand a secure storage location for their data.

The internet’s quality can be improved with the help of the Internet of Things. We can save data in the cloud with the use of IoT and Cloud Computing for further analysis and improved performance.

The internet of things is also a prominent technology since it combines real-time data analytics and cloud computing. Machine-to-machine communication, data, and processes are all commonplace. With the use of cloud computing, we can do it quickly.

Although the data saved in the cloud is secure, it is not completely secure. Small businesses that supply cloud services may or may not provide adequate data protection. As a result, we can better protect ourselves against cyber-attacks in the future. Cloud providers offer stronger security measures, allowing for a more balanced approach to preventing cyber-attacks.

Role of cloud computing in enterprise application

Apps that are ready for the cloud can be simply migrated to cloud platforms with little effort. However, when it comes to deployment and maintenance, these types of apps can be costly. Even while idle, cloud-ready applications demand more resources than standard applications. So, while optimizing these may be difficult at first, if we achieve our aim, we will see a higher return on investment. Cloud-optimized applications, on the other hand, are far more adaptable and cost-effective. Instead of focusing on platform-as-a-service, or PaaS, this collection of applications may take a different approach. In comparison to cloud-only apps, cloud-optimized apps are more scalable and easier to administer. As a result, many businesses are now concentrating on designing customized cloud-optimized applications.

To stay ahead of the cloud marketing pack, your corporate solutions must be compliant in order to handle the increased data volumes. There’s also hybrid cloud infrastructure, which combines public and private cloud services. This is a preferable option for individuals who do not want to entirely migrate to the cloud but still want their resources managed by the business. Virtual machines can be imported from VMWare and Microsoft Hyper-V, among other systems, to cloud platforms.

Cloud storage providers have increased their market share in both the private and public sectors in recent years. It makes perfect sense for different providers to offer a variety of options for businesses of varied sizes to pick from. As a third-party service, the providers are likely to have a variety of new cloud-based management alternatives for their clients. Other options include establishing a private cloud on existing infrastructure or using open-source technologies.

When we use cloud computing, we expect to strengthen collaboration and see improvements across the board.Team members can use a cloud-based platform to access, share, and update information, increasing efficiency. This one data point ensures that everyone is on the same page, reducing human error and ultimately boosting company quality.Cloud infrastructure enables IT and other workers to give a better customer experience, increased compliance, and, of course, improved data security.

In the end, cloud technology will be the primary platform for securing modern-day company data. Cloud-based services will also become the norm in the future for individuals to communicate more effectively. When we consider the future of cloud computing, we may expect more collaboration and progress in all areas of company thanks to cloud services.

“Wake up sid” and its relevance after almost 12 years

I just watched a movie “Wake up Sid” starring Ranbir Kapoor and Konkana Sen Sharma directed by Ayan Mukherjee and I can still say this that this movie still gives me all those feels that it gave me 12 years back as a teenager. This movie taught some life changing lessons that its still so relevant:

1.ย Itโ€™s necessary to break your shells and come out of your comfort zone

โ€œTumhe kabhi laga hai ki apna ghar ho, apna khana khud banao, apne paise khud kamao aur udao, Sab kuchh apna banaya hua ho? Independence, you know what I mean?โ€ย
Itโ€™s very necessary in life to realise the importance of independence, and make oneself capable of earning oneโ€™s own bread. Aisha emphasises the value of self reliance, and personal growth.ย

2.Being fearless is the only way in life, to make your dreams come true

โ€œTumhe nahi pata kitna darr lagta hai but you know what, sab theek ho jaega. Bombay aana mera sapna tha. Aur ab yahan hoon toh darr nahi sakti. Itna kuchh karna hai yahan ki darr ke jaye koi jagah hi nahi hogiโ€
When Aisha opened up about being scared everyday, but taking this as a challenge to pursue her dream, she gave us a major reality check about life. She inspires one to be brave and take chances.

3.Live in the moment, make memories everyday

โ€œWho cares ki kal kya hogaโ€ฆ As long as we have some fun tonight!โ€
As millennials go with the quote, โ€˜you only live onceโ€™, Sid made sure to do justice to the saying, with his carefree character. Sometimes, itโ€™s okay to escape and find happiness and pleasures under the multicoloured lights, late night drives with the best of your friends.

4.ย Embrace the little things and moments in life, while making them countable

โ€œYeh bhi toh party hainโ€ฆtum, main our doh cup chaiโ€
Making a layered cake with bread loafs, loaded with jam in ten minutes and stargazing with the city skylines inspires us to embrace the simple pleasures in life. Aisha and Sid touched our hearts in these moments.ย

5.ย Failure doesnโ€™t hold the power to define you

Main apne dad ke bagair kya hoon? Meri khud ki pehchan kya haiโ€ฆMujhe nahi pata mujhe naukri karni hai. Main janta hoon mujhe kuchh nahi aata, pata nahi mujhe kaun naukri dega. Par ab mujhe kaam karna hai basโ€
Being lost can help pave oneโ€™s road of success. Sid loved his passion so much, that he believed to take it responsibly and make it a profession. He encourages one to realise and embrace your inner calling. He inspires one to create a unique identity about oneself.ย

6.ย Grab every opportunity that is capable of reflecting your potential

โ€œTere liye, Nayi hai zameen naya aasmaan, Likh de hawaaon mein koi nayi dastaan..โ€ย
These heart warming lyrics from the song โ€˜Aaj Kal Zindagiโ€™ allowed us to have a moment with ourselves while Sid takes the internship opportunity to start working. Watching Sid from being a spoilt brat to becoming a responsible adult was surely captivating enough to motivate us.

7.ย Family is the strongest support system and should be your first love

โ€œBas aapse milna tha, I miss you momโ€ย
โ€œTumhare friendโ€™s ke tarah agar main bhi English main baat karungi, toh kya pata hum bhi friends ban jayeโ€ฆSiddy, Tumhara khaana wagera sab theek hain naa ?โ€

No matter wherever you go, whatever you follow with a good note, your parents will always support you. Your parents have unconditional love for you and would accept you no matter what. They deserve to be loved and respected equally.

8. Some friendships are capable of surviving storms as they are meant to be forever

โ€œYaar haan, mujhe hona chaiye tha yaar dilaane ke liyeโ€ฆsorryโ€
True friends will always support you and pray for you even on bad terms. Sid rekindling his friendship with Rishi eventually brought a smile on our faces, and allowed us to reflect our bonds with our friends.ย

9.Itโ€™s okay to enjoy the simple things in life, if they are comforting and make you safe

โ€œPuraani Hindi film songsโ€ฆ.at least unhe aasaani se gaa toh sakte hainโ€ฆMaine socha tha kiโ€ฆmain bhi Jazz enjoy Karne lagungi, par actually mujhe Jazz pasand hi nahi hainโ€ฆ.Itโ€™s just not meโ€

Itโ€™s not necessary to fit in to make yourself feel accepted. Things which comfort you will always find your way towards you to give yourself a unique identity about yourself. Ayesha teaches one to hold on and accept things which can make you feel home.

10.ย Separation hurts, but donโ€™t let that emotion be a burden on someone else

โ€œItni jaldi chale jaogeโ€ฆpata nahi main kyun upset hori hoonโ€ฆkyun nahi rahe sakte yaha Sidโ€ฆitna bada faisla liya aur mujhse baat bhi nahi ki, socha takk nahi ki mujhe kaisa lagegaโ€
Itโ€™s okay to acknowledge your feelings, but sometimes words cut through real deep. Ayesha was right at her point, and so was Sid. There was a lack of understanding between the two, but soon they rekindled their bond. Separation happens for the good, and needs to be embraced with ease.ย

11.ย Love isnโ€™t always perfect, but will always be pure when found in the right person

โ€œGoals paane ki khushi tabhi mehsoos hoti hai โ€ฆ Jab usse kisi ke saath share kar sakoโ€
Love that makes you grow as a person is empowering. While Ayesha learns to address her feelings, she realises that she has fallen in love with the friendship she shared with Sid. Both allowed each other to grow individually and that helped them perceive their goals and feel respected for what they truly are.

Why are we obsessed with fair skin?

Why are we obsessed with fair skin?

Our obsession for fair skin has been around for centuries. In later interpretations of the varna system, during the time of Bhrigu, skin color became a distinguishing factor of caste. Brahmins were described as white-skinned, while Shudras were known to have dark skin. Though there is no evidence of skin color based discrimination by the Mughals, they were a homogeneous group of lighter-skinned rulers. So light skin became synonymous with the superiority of the rulers, which was strengthened by other conquerors like the Portuguese and the French.

But discrimination based on skin color became prominent during British rule. So called ‘Black Indians‘ were denied entry into restaurants and educational institutions. Though this formalized discrimination is a thing of past, still fair skin continues to be perceived as the marker of one’s social status for many.

Advertisements for beauty products claim to offer “lightening, brightening and glowing skin“, as something that would have an impact on one’s job prospects, status along with one’s appearance. Fairness creams are such a necessity that each year Indians spend more on fairness creams than they spend on tea. A survey found that 70 per cent of men believe that fair skin will give them an advantage over others in securing a job, success in an interview or finding a life partner. Indian movies too reinforce this notion. Fair-skinned actors often make their skin look darker with makeup while playing a lower class character. Offscreen dark skin or ‘kaala rang‘ is often regarded as dirty, ugly or poor adding layers to the insecurity related to dark skin color. All this fuels the desire to escape from the skin color people are born with. Women had reportedly boosts in confidence level when they lightened their skin color by two shades. This adds up to the individual and cultural obsession with ‘fair‘ skin.

The fact is that no amount of fairness creams or any other cosmetic can actually lighten the original color of one’s skin. So, instead of buying into this myth and continuing to perpetuate it, let’s go beyond dropping the ‘fair‘ in a fairness cream or just boldly claiming that black is beautiful. And attack the social conditioning which tells us that colorism is a ‘natural preference‘. Let’s reject this discriminatory mindset altogether.

RELEVANCE OF BOOKS IN DIGITAL ERA.

“Books are a uniquely portable magic.” – Stephen King

Books are considered to be the most beautiful gift to mankind. Books are a wonderful source of gaining knowledge and is popularly referred to as ‘Treasure of Knowledge’. April 23 every year is celebrated as “World Book and Copyright Day” to appreciate and glorify books, authors, editors and most importantly this day glorifies reading. The culture of writing books has been prevalent since ages when men started writing on the barks of trees, leaves of the papyrus plant which later was compiled into a book. In due course of time, with the coming of printing press, men started manufacturing books in large numbers.

Books in digital era

As the world is changing rapidly, we have entered into the digital age. In this period, things have changed drastically and so is reading and writing. Nowadays to read a book, we don’t really need pages but we can read from a screen. Numerous articles on any topic can be found online. Electronic formats like Amazon Kindle, PDFs, International Digital Publishing Forums, Open e-books etc has taken the place of traditional printed books. Despite technological advancements in the field of reading, that is, reading online, traditional books have not lost its significance.

Reasons for relevance of books in digital era

1. Books provides experience : Reading a book is an experience in itself because while reading, we get connected to the author, we can feel what the author is trying to convey. Reading books takes us to an imaginary world where at the end, all we get is a surreal experience.

2. Books contain real information : An author writes a book after he has done a detailed study on the area he is writing. Also, a book is published after thorough scrutinization by the concerned authorities. So in that case, we can rely on the information that we get from books.

3. Minimal distraction : When we read a book, it is just us and the book and there is nothing sort of external disturbances. But while reading online, we receive so many pop up advertisements, notifications from our social media accounts. If we are tempted by these distractions, we tend to lose the flow of reading.

4. Retention power : Everyone of us has different reading and memorising techniques. Some of us highlight the important texts with colourful pens, use our favourite bookmarks to keep a track on the last reading material, make our own tiny notes somewhere on the book and many such techniques to remember what we have read. Although many of such facilities are available when reading online yet traditional books tend to enhance our retaining capacity.

5. Limited health issues : Reading from a book have no major health related problems. Although many readers do complain about back pains and spondylitis yet health issues are serious when people engage themselves too much in online reading. Starring at the screens for a long time would cause severe headache, vision related problems, sleep disorientation and many others which would gradually affect health.

6. Not everybody has access to Internet : The picture of the rural areas can be drawn in this context. Many parts of the country is still fighting against illiteracy. In such a case, even if internet connection is provided to these people people, it would be of no use because they will not know how to make use of it. But if they are taught by a teacher with the help of books, they would be able to know how to read and write and also gain knowledge. Thus, books are a weapon to fight against illiteracy.

7. Permanence of books : We can keep books with us forever and even conserve it for our future generations to read. Libraries are the best example to highlight the permanence of books.

LIBRARY

Libraries are still very important all over the world even in the digital age because we cannot find everything on the internet. The good, classic books written by famous writers long back are not uploaded on the internet. Library is the only place to find such books. The ambience of a library attract the readers to visit it often. We meet so many enthusiastic readers in the library and from them we can learn many new things. The environment of a library is so quiet and peaceful. The smell of the pages of the books, the sound of the pages being turned, whispering sounds of the readers and everything about a library is so wonderful. Although both libraries and internet are sources of information yet it cannot be denied that internet can never replace libraries.

Inter – relation between books and technology

Books and technology goes hand in hand in disseminating knowledge. We can make use of technology to promote books that enhances its relevance in this technology dominated era. Nowadays, we can order books online from various shopping portals which clearly reflects that the culture of reading is not yet vanished. Also, we have witnessed that many movies has been made where the storyline is adopted from books. For example, the Harry Potter series, the Twilight series, the movie 2 States and even the 2009 Bollywood blockbuster 3 idiots is taken from a book. In this way, technology is not replacing books but promoting the relevance of books.

Books really does wonders. An author takes quite a long time to write a book after making a thorough study and we as readers can gain the same information in a short span of time just by reading it. This is the magic of books. Books have always been and will always be an important tool for promoting knowledge.

Mental Stress

Stress can be defined as any type of change that causes physical, emotional, or psychological strain. Stress is your body’s response to anything that requires attention or action. Everyone experiences stress to some degree. The way you respond to stress, however, makes a big difference to your overall well-being.

Sometimes, the best way to manage your stress involves changing your situation. At other times, the best strategy involves changing the way you respond to the situation.

Mental stress is a form of stress that occurs because of how events in one’s external or internal environment are perceived, resulting in the psychological experience of distress and anxiety. Mental stress is often accompanied by physiological responses. Stress is also the feeling of being overwhelmed or unable to cope with mental or emotional pressure.

Developing a clear understanding of how stress impacts your physical and mental health is important. It’s also important to recognize how your mental and physical health affects your stress level.

Signs

Stress can be short-term or long term. Both can lead to a variety of symptoms, but chronic stress can take a serious toll on the body over time and have long lasting health effects.

Some of the signs of stress include

  • Changes in mood – Mood swings refer to rapid changes in mood. The term may refer to minor daily mood changes or to significant mood changes as seen with mood disorders such as major depression or bipolar depression. Mood swings cal also occur in women who suffer from premenstrual syndrome or premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
  • Diarrhea – According to the Anxiety and Depression Association of America (ADAA), when a person is anxious, the body releases hormones and chemicals. These can enter the digestive tract and disrupt the gut flora, which can result in a chemical imbalance that leads to diarrhea.
  • Difficulty in sleeping – Many issues that impact your mental or physical health can disrupt sleep. You’re under a lot of stress. Stressful times and event can cause temporary insomnia. And major or long-lasting stress can lead to chronic insomnia.
  • Digestive problems – In some people, stress slows down digestions, causing bloating, pain and constipation, while in others it speeds it up, causing diarrhea and frequent trips to the loo. some people lose their appetite completely. Stress can also worsen digestive conditions like stomach ulcers and irritable bowel syndrome.
  • Dizziness – Dizziness is common symptom of anxiety stress and, all if one is experiencing anxiety, dizziness can be anxiety producing. The vestibular system is responsible for sensing body position and movement in our surroundings.
  • Headaches – Headaches are more likely to occur when you’re stressed. Stress is a common trigger of tension-type headaches and migraine, and can trigger other types of headaches or make them worse.
  • Physical aches and pains – Your muscles tense up to protect themselves from injury when you’re stressed. They tend to release again once you relax, but if you’re constantly under stress, your muscles any not get the chance to relax. Tight muscles cause headaches, back and shoulder pain, and body aches.

Simple ways to relieve stress

  • Exercise – Exercise is one of the most important things you can do to combat stress. It might seem contradictory, but putting physical stress on your body through exercise can relieve mental stress. The benefits are strongest when you exercise regularly.People who exercise regularly are less likely to experience anxiety than those who don’t exercise.
  • Light a candle – Using a essential oils or burning a scented candle may help reduce your feeling of stress and anxiety. Some scents are especially soothing, mot calming scents like lavender, rose, orange or orange blossom etc.

In general, the benefit of yoga for stress and anxiety seems to be related to its effect on your nervous system and stress response.

Seto Dharti

The literal meaning of the word Seto Dharti is Seto (White), Dharti (Actual meaning is land, but writer has used the term to signify the โ€œworldโ€) in Amar Neupane’s novel โ€œSeto Dhartiโ€ (2068, first edition). The issue of early marriage and early widowhood of a village girl is discussed in the book.

The book was praised not only by its readers, but also by critics, who gave it a positive review in a short period of time. It’s remarkable that the writer, despite being born a man in our traditional and male-dominated society, was able to express the struggles and feelings of a bereaved lady. This simply demonstrates the writer’s imaginative and creative talent, as he was able to see and grasp the discrimination, challenges, and feelings of widows in our country, which are often disregarded by most people, especially ladies.

The story is based on the life of a girl named Tara ( meaning: Stars ). ( meaning: Stars ). She is a simple girl living in her village spending her time playing with other children of same village. As the story progresses, she marries at the age of seven, despite the fact that she has no understanding of what marriage entails.Tara’s spouse is had to travel to Banaras for his studies, where he dies, leaving Tara to live the rest of her life as a child widow. As the novel progresses, Tara’s life is beset by a series of challenges. She returns to her father’s house after visiting her spouse.

She attempts to live a quiet life, attempting to forget all of the suffering she had as a youngster. Her mother dies later, and she is forced to assume full responsibility for the household. She leaves her father’s house after she reaches adulthood and relocates to Devghat, a Hindu pilgrimage site. She builds a little hut there and begins a long, monotonous life. The story primarily aims to expose the heinous cultural practice of child marriage, which is carried out in the name of religion. This narrative also depicts the agony of a child widow who has been alone her entire life.

As a reader, I propose that everyone read a book at least once if they are truly interested in learning more about the topic of early marriage and early widowhood. The meaning of the book’s title is masterfully linked to the plot by the author. In this society, widows are expected to dress in white and refrain from wearing bright colors. After being widowed, the story depicts the life of a widow girl in her white world, i.e. Seto Dharti.

Covid 19 and Mass Media

The year 2019 was a normal year until December when this normalcy was disturbed by the outburst of Corona Virus in Wuhan city of China. The villainous corona virus or Covid 19 has shattered humankind into pieces by killing people all around the globe. Within no time, the virus took a toll on social, cultural, mental, economical and every possible spheres of life. Despite the tragedy, people all over the world has been fighting hard against this unseen enemy with solidarity.

Role of Mass Media in Covid 19 pandemic

With the outbreak of the Covid 19 pandemic, mass media has been a crucial tool for information generation. Because people were confined to their houses, mass media was the only source to get information about the ongoing situation. People began to watch the news like never before to update themselves with facts. Not just the latest news updates but with an easy access to social media, people are making use of platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc for personal and business updates. Even the government agencies interacted with the common people through social media to share information regarding the pandemic.

Negative effects of Media during the pandemic

At the beginning of the Covid 19 pandemic, people were searching for all sorts of Covid 19 related articles and news and unfortunately a lot of misinformation has been circulated creating panic. Such misinformation and rumours manipulated the minds of the people leading to mental breakdown which further took a toll on the immune system. There has been cases where mentally weak people lost their lives after falling prey to rumours. However, many people were arrested for circulating fake news regarding Covid 19.

Positive effects of Media during the pandemic.

Keeping aside the negative aspect, the role of Mass Media is worthy of appreciation as it has been a constant source of making people aware about the DO’s and DON’T’s. News portals, social media users be it friends, family, health workers, politicians or celebrities encouraged people to stay in their homes, safe and healthy. People were encouraged to exercise and do yoga on everyday basis to boost their immune system. The Quarantine culture started to come in trend and people started embracing lockdown. The effect of Media on culture came to be more profound during the pandemic. We have seen people reviving their long lost hobbies, spending quality time with family which infact inspired many people to look back into their lives, taking a break from their hectic schedule.

But sadly, not everybody could embrace lockdown. This pandemic has been the worst nightmare for the wage workers, the migrant labourers and even the middle class section of the society to an extent. Fortunately, media came as a rescue for these people. When their plight was shown in the media, many influential people, NGOs came forward to help them with food, money, shelter, medical facilities and the like. Covid 19 has been extremely harsh for the elderly people especially with disabilities, people with serious ailments, people who lost their livelihood but people made use of Media platforms to raise funds and distribute money and essential items to the needy. Also in this pandemic, the term ‘Webinar’ has become quite popular. Many notable health workers, scholars and teachers kept in touch with people by conducting webinars to keep a check on each others’ mental health.

It can be seen that the role and impact of Mass Media in this pandemic is never ending. Like the two sides of a coin, mass media also have two sides – positive and negative. We, the people, must always approach the positive side and fight to overcome the virus. Also let us keep in mind what Malcolm said, “When I is replaced by We, illness becomes wellness.”

I had Crush on someone who had Crush on me.

At the point when you see somebody and have an alternate response to them, you are growing. This is the crush who illuminates you that you are growing.

You’ll never forget those times when you were being incredibly stupid and acting strangely. You may now giggle as you recall such events, but they were priceless.

My clock’s alarm had woken me awake. The time is 4:30 a.m.

“We are going to picnic.”I grumbled as I jumped out of bed and ran directly to my bathroom.

Mom: you’re big girl now of grade 6. You should understand your responsibilities sweetheart.

I brushed my teeth and took a bath quickly.

And then I dressed up my new jeans and t-shirt and walked downstairs. Thank God that my home is just opposite of my school. All of my friends used to come to my home before going to school. Our teachers, juniors and my classmates all of us gathered to go to picnic. There I saw a cute boy and he was, by the way, my junior. I didn’t even know his name and didn’t wanted to. I was just looking him like I haven’t seen any guy before. His hairstyle, his teeth when he smiled and his long sleeved sky blue shirt, it was the most beautiful feeling. It was the first time I have noticed a guy after all.

Wait a minute, what if I say he had Crush on me 2years ago. Back then, I didn’t know about that.

I wish I knew that earlier. But nevermind.

He was so helpful during the whole trip. He used to help everybody even me as and I didn’t know how to react. Silly me. He carried my excursion bag as I was having tough time reaching the destination. We had to climb up hills to reach. On the other hand, he was so active.

Even after arriving at the destination, I wanted to know what he’s eating. While returning from trip, he interacted with my friend and tried to talk to me but I was so shy to talk to him. Obviously I didn’t even know his name. Shy me innocent me. Couldn’t have eye contact. His eyes so deep expressive. I couldn’t meet him or phone them outside of school, which made it even better!

Oh those good old innocent days!!

Each waking hour of my life was spent thinking about my crush. There is certifiably not a solitary second when he isn’t in my thoughts. I continue to replay this in my mind and considering what I might have done any other way, yet I’ve never gotten another putt solidarity since.

After sometime, I was in class and one of my friend was talking about the boy who carried my bag. That was the time I knew his name. One day I went school earlier and just sitting inside the class. My friend told me look who enter the school compound. With no interest I asked who. She said the same guy who carried your bag in trip. I went outside the class but he had already entered his class just next to mine. There was a hole in the wall between our classes. Then me and my friend ran away to the wall and put our faces there to see him. He was looking a bit anxious but there was a cute smile in his face.

And in the recess he came to my class like seriously. After that day, he began to come to my class every day during break and recess.

After few months my cousin sister talked about him. I came to know that she had Crush on him as well. She asked me whether he belongs to my class. I said no he is my junior.

I had my final term examination of 7th standard.

As our school reopened, the excitement of new books, meeting our friends, new classroom 8th standard) seniority however and new admission was on peak. I went to school with full of excitement. Every day was new experience those days. Everyone was gossiping about that guy(my crush) got admission straight to class 8 and he will be our classmate. I was like seriously. Is it possible? Is it true? Then I realized that I was panicking so I kept calm and acted like I don’t really care. But back of my mind I prayed to God whether he came for me. But it was just childish to think like that. Only a miracle can give you what you want right.

We had never talked to each other ever but there was invisible connection that kept us close and knowing each other’s feeling.

One day my friend show me a letter saying that the guy (my crush) gave her this love letter. Listening to the sentence I was shattered and something inside me broke. In a second I burst into tears. She asked me what happened. I said nothing, I am happy for you both. When he entered the class, it was first time I ignored him like I don’t even know him and he doesn’t exist anymore. I can feel that he is getting mad over me ignoring him. But I was sad. I didn’t wanted to look at his face. I kept on ignoring him for months. Somewhere I started healing. I started being happy without him.

Few days after, he indirectly asked my best friend why I was ignoring him. My Best friend said she is shy and introvert so don’t expect anything from her.

One of the important part of school is farewell party. We were in class 9 so it was so special that we can be part of party in school.

We (class 9 students) everybody did decorations planning best for successful farewell party. But something happened to the party that changed my whole life. He (my crush) ate in the same plate in which I ate. I got confused if he gave love letter to my friend then why is he acting weird? The next day i entered the school and what I see is, he(my crush) and senior boys were having fight like literally senior boys were throwing stones on him. All of them were taken to principal room. There were roumor about principal rusticating everyone involved in fight. I can’t say how was I feeling.

During the recess, I came to know that the fight was because senior boys wrote something bad in my desk. Oh shit. Yeah exactly that was my reaction.

Next day, I had no hope of him coming back. I thought I lost him. I hadn’t even expressed my feeling.

Finger crossed!!!

My eyes on the door !!

And he came.

I was happy like anything. He looked at me and smiled. The kids and teens those days had no clear cue about their feeling. I was in mixed feeling happy, sad, anxious, excited, as well as curious. I wanted to talk to him. But again something stroke in my mind he already have someone in his life. And again I started ignoring him.

We were in 10th standard. It was our last year with the same friends. My friend (who told me that my crush gave her love letter) told me that she was telling lie about that letter.

Actually the letter was for me.

He came to my class only for me.

I didn’t know how to react.

I didn’t know what to do.

Later I calmed down myself.

Then it was the time to go to the 3 day tour to Darjeeling from school.

During the whole tour, there was a different sense of happiness. From that time I knew that he also likes me but didn’t know how to react. During the tour a different kind of feeling arises.

Ticklish feeling,

Feeling like flying in the sky.

Whenever he was around me I felt safe. We were not at all in talking terms but make me feel the most beautiful girl in the whole world. My eyes were only searching him. There was a time when I was talking sarcastic about him and replied so softly. It was first time we had conversation. This was the best feeling. Whom I feel for also have the same feeling for me. The distance was only because of a small misunderstanding. Sometimes during the tour I wanted to get disappeared with him. After 3 day tour, it was time to return to our home. I didn’t want to return. I was just enjoying my life like this for the first time.

Yes after the tour we returned to our daily routine. And yes, he then proposed me.

We continued our study we are interested in. Now he is a doctor and I am computer engineer and his wife.

Yes we got married after 10 years of relationship.

THE PARTITON OF INDIA AND PAKISTAN.

In August, 1947, when the Britishers left and India got its independence , the partition of subcontinent happened as India and Pakistan. The partition involved two territory Punjab and Bengal, wide range of non-muslim and muslim population living there. Bengal was divided into two half East and West. Majority Muslim shifted to East Bengal and later it became Bangladesh. In North-west India the punjab was divided into two , half of it became Pakistan and rest of it was Indiaa. This also led to division of British Indian Army,Railway,Indian Navy and Central tressure. This partion outlined the Indian Independence Act 1947 which led to end of British Raj and on 15th August in midnight, pakistan came into legal existence.

The partition displaced 10 to 20 million people, which created refuges in newly constitued territory. There was a large scale violoence happened, estimated huge loss of life. During this,75,000 to 100,000 women were kidnapped and raped, Later they worked and returned 12,000 abducted women to India and 6000 in pakistan. The Indian government claimed that 33,000 Hindu and Sikh women were abducted and Pakistan government claimed 50,000 women were abducted during the riots.Muslim women were sent to pakistan and Hindu and Sikh women were sent to India. Most of the Hindu and Sikh women refused to return to India as a fear that there family would not accept them. 15 million people were crossing borders from Pakistan to India during the violent partition, there were Hindus and Sikhs they were killed by mobs as said the violence was made by muslims community, the train arrived in india with death bodies in it. It is said that mobs rampaged, looted and bombed in every section and compartment of train. Womens, desperate to avoid rap and kidnap, committed suicide. By that time a milion or more have died. This violent nature created a ditance between India and pakistan and has affected a relationship in today’s day.

The India-Pakistan partition is one of an unforgettable history. Most of the people were not only attached to there religion but to there territoy. Britain was hestitated to use there own group to maintain order and law. The situation in punjab was more worse, weapons and demolishes soldiers were kidnapped. Where on the under side pakistan’s population end being more religious than they orginally were. There leader assumed they would be having fair amount of non-muslim population, who’s presencce would safegaurd muslim community in India. All though Pakistan apparently created a homeland for India’s Muslim minority, not all muslim supported this formation. Muslim remained largest minorty in India.there population was 10% in 1951. Gandhi was assasinated in 1958 by a Hindu nationalist who blamed him for suppoting Muslim community during the partition.

Both territory has faced mny consequences and problems in accommodating partition refugees. The number of refugees went up as both the territoy started a war over Jmmu and Kashmir in 1947-1948. This has led to fight and its still going on in 20th century.

As of now,the two countries are not even close to make a healthy relation, Kashhmir remains a flashpoint , both countries are on the verge ofhaving another war. Indian muslims are blamed and suspected for being a part of Pakistan and helping them throughout there plan.

How women and their roles have changed in Bollywood Industry

Times changed, thus did the parts of ladies being composed for the Hindi motion pictures. The break – as referenced prior – saw a downpour of activity motion pictures, and entertainers didn’t have a lot to do in those movies. Indeed, even the David Dhawan comedies had little to bringing to the table to the entertainers, hence leaving just a little extension for them to show their acting ability. It was uniquely with the development of the “youthful sentiment” type that ladies turned into an object of want. They generally were, however the 1990s and the mid 2000s had a blend of skin-show and thing numbers. A large portion of them absolutely unasked for.

The 1990s and the mid 2000s was the time of entertainers being alluded to as the saint’s “adoration interest”. Also, which is all well and good, since they did exactly that – cherished their legend, and that’s it. There were slaps, and there was criticize, and by that action, ‘Kabir Singh’ was a diamond.

There were sparkles of brightness as well – however too irregular to even think about being recollected strikingly. Meenakshi Sheshadri, Tabu, Madhuri Dixit, Kajol and the preferences had parts in their individual motion pictures that overwhelmed their legends, however not the idea. The films didn’t fixate on them – aside from a couple of like ‘Gupt’, ‘Dushman’, ‘Astitiva’, ‘Anjaam’ and the preferences. Yet, the crowd had not developed then to completely see the value in them.

With the rise of online media, woman’s rights and ladies strengthening became the overwhelming focus in discussions and conversations. Furthermore, in film. So prior when dangerous movies were hailed for the machoism of the legend, the post-2009 stage had individuals scrutinizing their cultural framework.

This was likewise the stage where entertainers took up filmmaking, and turned scholars, chiefs and makers. They were prior additionally engaged with these perspectives, yet this was the period of them dominating their male partners. Be it ‘Piku’, ‘NH10’, ‘Pari’, and the preferences, there were better jobs for ladies. Furthermore, the entertainers played them energetically.

The likes of ‘Highway’, ‘Raazi’, ‘Queen’ and ‘Padmavat’ centred on women, and did not become another art-house film. They were hailed as mainstream cinema, and primarily for their superlative content.

Recent years have seen a happier curve for women, as they no longer need a male superstar to invite audience to theatres. ‘Queen’, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’ and ‘Mulk’ became a cult just by the virtue of the content, and author-backed roles written for women.

A great thing has changed, and a ton needs to improved. Indian film, by that action, is making a course for recuperation. It is currently making films that have the idea as the saint. Furthermore, the starcast as the courageous woman. Poisonous manliness is being called out, and man controlled society is being exposed. The cycle has been steady, and is relied upon to proceed.

HOUSEPLANT/GARDENING

A houseplant is a plant that is grown indoors in places such as residences and offices, namely for decorative purposes, but studies have also shown them to have positive psychological effects. They also help indoor air purification, since some species, and the soil-dwelling microbes associated with them, reduce indoor air pollution by absorbing volatile organic compounds. While generally toxic to humans, such pollutants are absorbed by the plant and its soil-dwelling microbes without harm. Common houseplants are usually tropical or semi-tropical, succulents or cacti. Houseplants need to correct moisture, light levels, soil mixture, temperature and humidity. Without these conditions most house plants need to proper fertilizer and correct-sized pots.

Most species of houseplant will tolerate low humidity environments if they’re watered regularly. Different plants require different amounts of light, for different duration. Houseplants are generally grown in specialized soils called potting compost or potting soil.

Both under-watering and over-watering can be detrimental to a houseplant. Different species of houseplants require different soil moisture levels. Brown crispy tips on a plant’s leaves are a sign that the plant is under-watered. Yellowing leaves can show that the plant is over watered. Most plants can not withstand their roots sitting in water and will often lead to root rot. Most species of houseplant will tolerate low humidity environments if they’re watered regularly. Different plants require different amounts of light, for different duration. Houseplant are generally grown in specialized soils called potting compost or potting soil. A good potting compost mixture includes soil conditioners to provide the plant with nutrients, support, adequate drainage and proper aeration.

Houseplants are generally planted in pots that have drainage holes in the bottom of the pot to reduces the likelihood of over watering and standing water. A pot that is too large will cause root disease because of the excess moisture retained in the soil, while a pot that is too small will restrict a plant’s growth.

Psychological Effects

A 2015 study showed that active interaction with houseplants can reduce physiological and psychological stress compared with mental work. It appears that benefits are contingent on features of the context in which the indoor plant are encountered and on characteristics of the people encountering them. The phenomenon of biophilia explains why houseplants have positive psychological effects. Biophilia describes humans subconscious need for a connection with nature. This is why humans are fascinated by natural spectacles such as waves or a fire. It also explains why gardening and spending time outdoors can have healing effects. Having plants in indoor living areas can have positive effects on physiological, psychological and cognitive health.

Houseplant Care

Houseplant care is the act of growing houseplants and ensuring they have the necessary conditions for survival and continuing growth. This includes providing soil with sufficient nutrients, correct lighting conditions, air circulation and adding the right amount of water. Watering houseplants on a regular basis is necessary for the plant to remain healthy. They should not, however, be watered on a scheduled basis, because different plant species need different amounts of water and sunlight so it is important to know the specifics for the particular plants that are being grown.

Houseplants sometimes also need to be cleaned of dust and greasy films that collect on the leaves when they are indoors. Dusty, grimy leaves can inhibit growth.

Types of Houseplants

  • Pothos
  • Spider Plant
  • Peace Lily
  • Aloe vera
  • Rubber plant
  • English ivy
  • Jade plant
  • Bamboo palm

Future of media and entertainment industry amidst this pandemic

Theatres, films or the Bollywood industry is some of the industries that have suffered a great loss during this pandemic and are still suffering from it.
The industry has lost somewhere between Rs. 600-900 crore due to the coronavirus pandemic. With cancelled shoots, delayed releases and complete shutdown of most movie theatres countrywide, the coronavirus outbreak has massively hit the prospects of big-budget films in particular.
This pandemic will take a toll on everyone associated with the showbiz industry right from the producers to the distributors, actors and especially daily wage workers who work on film and television sets. The worst part of this pandemic that no one knows when it will be ending as of now in 2021 we are still waiting to watch movies on bug screen.

Movies like “83” directed by Kabir Khan with Ranveer Singh in the lead and “Sooryavanshi” directed by Rohit Shetty in the lead with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif has yet to release and all the fans are waiting for them. Aiming to release their films in theatres is a huge gambir because no one knows when will this pandemic end and even with the theatres open, and start operating with full or half occupancy people will take time to go back to their normal life.

“83” and “Sooryavanshi” first look

On the other hand, many producers have taken the route of digital release to overcome their expenses. OTT platforms have brought many good films over the last year to us, as er were able to watch those movies in our house only without going out in this pandemic.
Digitisation has helped many producers, distributers to pay the salaries of their employees during this last year and now also. Films that did not receive many audience appreciations when it was released in the theatre, is receiving positive reviews when it was released via OTT platforms.

Digital or OTT Platforms

Nobody knows what the future holds for our entertainment industry, will the theatres be reopened and if they will, will they be open with full occupancy or no. According to some critics, as of now and in the near future Digital platforms or OTT platforms are the future of our industry and we need to accept that fact as soon as possible.

Watching Clouds : A Mindful Activity

Clouds are beautiful, aren’t they? A clear blue sky with cotton white clouds is one of the prettiest views you can see from your balcony. Maybe it sounds silly but staring at a sky with clouds is indeed a great mindful activity. Watching the clouds go by with winds makes you think about those unsaid thoughts and at some level helps you to self-introspect. It somewhat like meditation.

In a life full of tasks and duties, take some time off and try cloud watching and you will realize how a simple activity like this relaxes your mind.

As Italians say, dolce far niente is equally important in our everyday lives. Dolce far niente means the sweetness of doing nothing. (This does not mean being lazy) The real meaning behind this is finding pleasure in doing nothing or relaxing.

This may sound easy but it is not. In today’s world when staying away from our phones and laptops seems like a tremendous job. How can someone enjoy the art of doing nothing.

Cloud watching is one of that ‘ art of doing nothing’ activities. Just sit down outside or take a walk outside and during this time try to appreciate those white coloured clouds in the sky. It may sound like a small activity but I think it makes a real difference.

Feel free to try out this mindful activity because it is free of cost ๐Ÿ™‚

Book review : The power of your unconscious mind

This is our comment on the “power of the subconscious” by author Joseph Murphy. A self-help e-book will help those who are struggling to turn their ideas into reality. Power beyond our daily ability. The book is divided into several parts and contains many items. As the book draws to a close, the theory becomes more complicated. It is easy to follow the examples in the e-book, and these examples can serve as meaningful comparisons for breaking down complex sentences. Sometimes it can be regarded as a self-service e-book, suitable for those who have no motivation to take defensive measures and turn ideas into actions. Because, due to non-public prejudice, whether we want to solve these problems or not, we may become one of the biggest obstacles to our way forward. This is not a new book, it first hit the shelves in 1963. Even after six years, knowledge is still true. In a sense, unconscious thoughts have always attracted me because I was attracted to this idea a few years ago. The idea that we can explore without actively paying attention to the subject or listening to the recording in our sleep still bothers me today. The starting point of this idea is a journey about how the electrical impulses ignited in my talent can lead to physical manifestations in the form of something as simple as housework, and the complexity of my daily tasks that I minimize every day. It’s like owning a service vehicle when you reach a safe experience level; the body just reacts to the situation. In fact, when website visitors actively consider sharing tools or know very little about the content of the tournament, it slows down your reaction because the idea is executed faster when executed unconsciously. The author Joseph Murphy makes some lofty claims that this is still a reality beyond any scientific basis or certification. You should use your personal collective judgements, as well as the statements in the e-book, and try to get things done. Instill it in your life from him. Won’t hurt him. It may also be useful to you, or you may be tired of preparing to present important meanings, but it provides many options in e-books. Your genius should keep this idea and use it to make your existence higher than personalized. Because there is no single method for human thinking. Since subconscious thinking works from the beginning of our business to our last breath, we can find its wider application in the following simple steps. Obviously, he is a spiritual man who uses biblical royalties, and they turn the entire experience into thought, even if it does not include a spiritual perspective. I am a lazy atheist, and giving up the idea of โ€‹โ€‹an unnamed god used to be a difficult capsule to swallow, but there is no scientific objection to some factors so I can check it, admit it for a minute, and others will think about it. I can quantify and examine myself.

A Vacation To an Unknown Heaven

During the lockdown period, most of the people have spent their lives indoor. Don’t you think that it is boring? Obviously, a lot of us might be planning to plan a trip once the lockdown is over. Are you a person who likes to be closer to nature? You are at the right corner! Today I will tell you about a beautiful place to plan a long vacation after the lockdown to get freshen up. It is Malvan. A lot of people are unaware of the place as it has not yet become a tourist attraction. But I believe that people should visit the beauty of this place at least once.

Malvan is located in the Southwestern part of Maharashtra with a long beautiful coastline. Along with the number of tourist places worth visiting, it is also a great option for outdoor activities at cheaper rates. For beach lovers, Malvan provides a long and beautiful coastline along with crystal clear water. If you enjoy living near forests, then too Malvan is surely a good choice. If you like to live in a place with a tint of ruralness then it is a sure shot. Despite Malvan has some awesome tourists attractions it still gives you the feeling of living in a village area. It is an excellent option for trekking as well.

Vacation planning in Malvan

You can plan a long vacation in Malvan as it provides you with a lot of different activities and tourists attractions. Let us see some of the places that are the must of a visit.

Sindhudurg Fort

temple inside Sindhudurg fort Archives - PixelVoyages

Sindhudurg is a beautiful fort built in the 17th century by the great warrior Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. The fort occupies an Island in the Arabian sea and it is just off the coast of the Sindhudurg district. Your trip to Malvan is a waste if you will not visit Sindhudurg. The fort has a temple of Shivaji Maharaj. It also has footprints of this great warrior. The area is so windy that even if you visit the top of the fort when the sun is high, you will not feel the heat. The view of standing at a place surrounded by the sea is itself a beautiful experience.

Tsunami Island

Tsunami Island | Adventure activities, Island, Tsunami

For beach lovers, Tsunami Island is an excellent place to visit. If you ask me, I have never seen such a clean beach in India. It is basically a small island off the Devbag beach formed due to a Tsunami. It offers you a lot of water sports that too at cheaper rates.

Tarkarli beach

Planning a Pune to Tarkarli Road Trip? Here is How You Can Get There

This is another beautiful beach to visit in Malvan. It is a remote area so for the people who seek peace this is the right place. If you want to get rid of the city noise and go someplace quieter and close to nature then it is Tarkarli.

Rock garden

1.jpg

The rock garden is another beautiful location to visit in Malvan. The best time to visit this place is in the evening. It will give you an enigmatic view of the sunset. The place has huge rocks where you can click a lot of pictures and it ends with the sea. Do you need any more reason to visit this place?

Sawantwadi

Seaside story - Itchy Feet

Sawantwadi is a hill station with lush green forests that brings a lot closer to the ecosystem. It is also famous for its wooden toys and handicrafts. If you love to collect souvenirs from the places you visit then no other place in Malvan can be as best as Sawantwadi.

Sangam beach

Beach Resort - Tourist Places

Just ahead of the Tsunami island is the Sangam beach. The beach got its name because of its unique feature. Sangam means mixture. Here, the Karli river meets the Arabian sea. And as a result, this beach got its name as the Sangam beach. Don’t you think it is worth a visit?

To conclude, I will recommend visiting Malvan at least once. It gives you a lot of opportunities to explore and experience the beauty of nature. Parasailing over Sangam Beach, scuba diving along with the corals near Devbag are some of the memorable experiences one can have. The seafood of Malvan is one of its enigmas. When I visited this place for the first time, I fell in love with it. As the tourist industry has not much developed here, people are unaware of this beauty. Thus, it allows having a peaceful vacation in these less populated beaches having sunbaths.

CONSERVATION: FORESTS AND WILDLIFE

Protection and conservation of forests and wildlife are essential to maintain the earthโ€™s health and environment. The earth is the only known living planet and it is because of its special environment and ecology which are life-supporting. Forests are part and parcel of our environment. They are one of the most valuable resources and gifts of nature. They play a key role in the maintenance of climate, rain-patterns, water and soil conservation. They are the natural home of many types of animals, birds, reptiles, insects tic. They supply timber, fuel, medicines, wood for paper pulp and raw materials for many industries. The increasing depletion and destruction of wildlife is a sauce of great concern. On out of every seven persons of the world live in India. India has 16 per cent of the worldโ€™s population with only 2.4 per cent of its land area.

India is very rich both in flora and fauna but many plant and animal species are already extinct and many other are on the road to extinction. In spite of various acts and rules-regulations against exploitation of wildlife, the real conservation has still a long way to cover. India is a huge country and one of the major wildlife producer countries of the world and yet there is a skeleton staff to safeguard the interest of wildlife. Poachers are on the prowl even in sanctuaries and protected forest areas. They have become fertile influential people and traders in animal-skins, horns, etc.

They play a key role in the maintenance climate, rain-patterns, water and soil conservation. They are the natural home of much type- of animals, birds, reptiles, insects etc. They supply timber, fuel, medicines, and wood for peeper-pulp and raw materials for many industries. The increasing depletion and destruction of wildlife is a source of great concern. One out of every seven persons of the world live in India.

India has 16 per cent of the worldโ€™s population with only 2.4 percent of its land area. There is much pressure on our natural resources including forests. In these times of increasing consumerism and nature- hostile activities, the forest-cover is depleting and deteriorating very fast. The conservation of wildlife which includes native plants and animals, depends on protection of forests. Wildlife is the direct product of the land resources and habitat conditions. The neglect of forests moans the destruction of the wild animals.Wildlife, like we human beings, need food, water, and shelter. Destruction of forests, wetlands, marshes, points, grasslands etc. eliminates their sources of food, water and habitat. The National wildlife action Plan launched in 1983 provides the framework of strategy as well as programme for conservation of wildlife.

India is very rich both in flora and fauna but many plant and animal species are already extinct and many other are on the road to extinction. In spite of various acts and rules- regulations against exploitation of wildlife, the real conservation has one of the major wildlife producer counties of the world and yet there is a skeleton staff to safeguard the interests of wildlife. Poachers are on the prowl even in sanctuaries and protected forest areas. They have become fertile hunting grounds for illegal hunting and killing of animals. The rich and influential people and traders in, animal-skins, horns, etc. have been indulging in hunting, killing and trading of wildlife with impunity. They carry telescopic rifles and other weapons, use traps and poison food and kill the animals. As a result of ecological imbalances and depleting forest-cover, the wild animals come out at night in search of food in the villages and attack human beings and domestic animals and fowls. In some parts of Uttar Pradesh the hyena and wolf-menace was very much in the news. Many children were killed by the wolves and hyenas.Similarly, in Pauri Garwal district of UP some leopards turned into man-eaters. Faced with the scarcity of animals for prey in the forest and continuing attacks from poachers, they become man- eaters. And once a man-eater is always a man- eater because man is the softest target. On many an occasion, the villagers injure more animals then they kill and so the injured animals turn into man-eaters and attack villages at night for food. When a human kill takes place, every leopard or tiger is regarded as man-eater and there is indiscriminate killing consequently, the number of these felines is decreasing fast.Thousands of snails, frog, rats, earthworms, cockroaches and other animals are killed for dissection in schools, colleges and laboratories for experiments. Snakes are also killed indiscriminately out of ignorance as greed. This destroys and disturbs the fragile ecological balance. Tigers are subjected to utmost brutality by man, the most intelligent and evolved animal on the earth.

Conservation of forests and wildlife is also important from aesthete point of view. They make life beautiful and colourful. Without them human life will lose much of its beauty, charm and meaning. Their proper protection and conservation also means a continuous and adequate supply of food, fodder, medicines, timber etc. Forests and wildlife and renewable resources which need to be diligently protected, preserved and increased in a planned way. There is a need to spread the awareness about forest and wildlife conservation. Social forestry can be taught in schools as a subject.More and more trees should be planted, protected and seen growing and maturing. There should be a ban on mobile zoos and animal rights activists should come forward to wage a war on behalf of the mute and innocent animals.

New Restrictions: Only 50 tourists now allowed at Mussoorie’s Kempty Falls.

After sightseers spurned Covid standards at Mussoorie’s Kempty Falls, the Uttarakhand government on Friday declared that only 50 guests will be permitted at the waterfalls and they can not remain there past thirty minutes.

The district administration made this step after photographs of many tourists bathing together in the waterfalls became a web sensation via online media.

“Now only 50 tourists are allowed at Kempty Falls (waterfall) in Mussoorie, can’t stay at the spot more than half an hour” said Iva Ashish Srivastava, Tehri Garhwal District Magistrate.

Also District Magistrate has received many complaints about tourists not following the Covid-19 Guidelines while bathing in the waterfall.

The DM further said that the tourists should leave the waterfalls when the hooter rings and furthermore asked senior superintendent of police (SSP) and sub-divisional magistrate (SDM) to set up a check post and screen the vacationers around kempty.

5 iconic comedy movies that should never have a remake

Our Bollywood Industry is making some groundbreaking films, while on the other hand some writers and directors are remaking the movies that we have grown up watching and ruining our childhood films, like most of them. Movies like Coolie No.1, Judwaa 2 and now Bhool Bhulaiyaa are the examples of recent remakes of the cult movies especially Coolie No.1 and Judwaa 2 are the two movies which were criticised a lot even after directed by the same director David Dhawan.

Though, Bollywood is never gonna stop remaking movies and songs, there are five iconic cult movies that should never be touched from anybody else as they are sheer perfection.

  1. ANDAZ APNA APNA (1994)

This โ€˜90s multi-starrer is the kind of classic comedy that can be watched and re-watched a zillion times without ever getting bored. Middle-class Amar (Amir Khan) and Prem (Salman Khan) compete for the love of a millionaireโ€™s daughter, Raveena, in the most hilarious of ways.

2. HERA PHERI SERIES

The iconic trio Raju (Akshay Kumar), Shyam (Sunil Shetty), and Baburao (Paresh Rawal) need no introduction. Their wretched plans of making easy money always get tangled up in a mess of their own stupidity, lack of coordination, and multiple groups of antagonists. Literally, every generation has grown up watching these.

3. MUNNA BHAI M.B.B.S (2003)

Munna and Circuitโ€™s rib-ticklingย jodiย is a comedy-drama with just the right amount ofย masalaย and romance. No wonder, itโ€™s achieved a cult status followed by an equally hilarious sequel.

4. VICKY DONOR (2012)

Ayushmann Khurannaโ€™s breakthrough into B-Town,ย Vicky Donorย is an unusually funny movie with an equally unconventional plot. Itโ€™ll make your jaws ache with laughing too hard while also busting taboos around sperm banks, sexuality, and sexual health.

5. DELHI BELLY

A film worth every last penny,ย Delhi Bellyย is downright sensible as well as hilarious. The performances by Tashi (Imran Khan), Arup (Vir Das), and Nitin (Kunaal Roy Kapur) is absolutely flawless and the plot hysterical.

A special mention to a film that was first of its kind in India and there would never be a movie like that and there shouldn’t be one, :

GO GOA GONE (2013)

Bollywoodโ€™s first full-fledged zombie movie may not have been taken seriously but honestly, it wasnโ€™t meant to be! This movie is every bit chuckle-inducing in the most millennial way and itโ€™s adult content is very very enjoyable.

CARDIAC ARREST

Cardiac arrest happens when the heart suddenly stops beating. This can be caused by a heart attack in which the heart’s demand for oxygen is not met and heart muscle begins to die. With cardiac arrest, normal circulation of blood stops, because of a failure of the heart to contract. Cardiac arrest is a medical emergency. The most common cause of cardiac arrest is Coronary Artery Disease. Less common causes include major blood loss, lack of oxygen, very low potassium, heat failure and intense physical exercise.

Causes of cardiac arrest

  • Coronary Artery Disease – Coronary Artery Disease (CAD), also known as ischemic heart disease, is responsible for 62 to 70 percent of all SCD ( sudden cardiac death). CAD is a much less frequent cause of SCD in people under age 40. Cases have shown that the most common finding at postmortem examination of sudden cardiac death is chronic high-grade stenosis of at least one segment of a major coronary artery, the article that supply the heart muscle with its blood supply.
  • Structural Heart Disease – Structural heart diseases are not related to CAD account for 10 percent of all SCDs. Left ventricular hypertrophy is thought to be a leading cause of structural heart disease in the adult population. This is the most commonly result of longstanding high blood pressure which has caused secondary damage to the wall of the main pumping chamber of the heart, the left ventricle. In the year 1999 United States has found that this accounted to over 30 percent of structural heart disease for those under 30 years. a study of military recruits age 18-35 found that this accounted for over 40 percent of SCDs. Congestive heart failure increases the risk of SCD.
  • Non-cardiac arrest – Sudden cardiac arrest due to non-cardiac causes accounts for the remaining 15 – 25 percent. The most common non-cardiac causes are trauma, major bleeding, overdose, drowning etc. cardiac arrest can also be caused by poisoning or lighting.

Signs and Symptoms

Cardiac arrest is not preceded by any warning symptoms in approximately 50 percent of people. For those who do experience symptoms, they will be non-specific, such as new or worsening chest pain, fatigue, shortness of breath, weakness and vomiting. When cardiac arrest occurs, the most obvious sign of its occurrence will be the lack of a palpable pulse in the victim. The main criterion for diagnosing a cardiac arrest, as opposed to respiratory arrest, which shares many of the same features, is lack of circulation, however there are a number of ways of determining this. Near-death experience are reported by 10 to 20 percent who survive cardiac arrest.

Prevention

Certain strategies to prevent cardiac arrest are with the prime causes of cardiac arrest being ischemic heart disease, efforts to promote a healthy diet, exercise, and smoking cessation are important. For people at risk of heat disease, measures such as blood pressure control, cholesterol lowering are used. An implantable cardioverter defibrillator is a battery-powered device that monitors electrical activity in the heart and when an asystole is detected is able to deliver an electrical shock to terminate the abnormal rhythm. ICDs are used to prevent sudden cardiac arrest. Numerous studies have been conducted on the use of ICDs for the secondary prevention of SCD. These studies have shown improved survival with ICDs compared to the use of anti-arrhythmic drugs. Primary prevention of SCD with ICD therapy for high-risk patient population had similarly shown improved survival rates in a number of large number of studies. Th high-risk patient populations in these studies were defined as those severe ischemic cardiomyopathy.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Autism is a developmental disability that can lead to significant social, communication, and behavioral challenges. People with ASD are no different than other people. But these people might find difficulties in communication, learning, and interaction. ASD people might or might not need any special help during their developmental phases. Before we learn ways to overcome this problem, let us first understand the signs and symptoms of ASD.

What are the signs and symptoms of people with autism?

People with autism usually find difficulty in socialization, communication, and emotional skills. Signs of ASD begin at the early stages and even last for the rest of their life as well. People with ASD show the following symptoms.

  1. They might face difficulty pointing at certain objects and show interest.
  2. They might not look at objects when someone points to them.
  3. ASD people might not be interested in other people at all.
  4. They mostly avoid eye contact and prefer being alone.
  5. Sometimes, they are unable to understand other people’s feelings or express themselves.
  6. They sometimes seem to be unaware when people talk to them and respond to other sounds.
  7. At times, they might be really interested in people, but they find difficulty in interaction.
  8. These people tend to stammer while they talk or even repeat things said to them as well.
  9. They are unable to adapt to routine changes.
  10. They even lose skills they had before.
  11. Sometimes, they may give unusual reactions to some smell, taste, look, feel, or sound.

ASD is usually detectable from 18 months or even younger. When the child reaches age 2, a diagnosis from an experienced professional is very reliable. Diagnosis for ASD children is quite difficult. There are not any sorts of blood tests or other medical tests to identify autism. Doctors concentrate on the behavior of children.

Treatment for autism

At present, there are no official or standard treatments for ASD. But there are different ways with which we can minimize this condition. If they get proper treatment, then people with ASD can use all their abilities and skills thoroughly.

Therapies that can be taken by an ASD person are,

  1. Behavioral therapy: This type of therapy usually focuses on identifying and changing self-destructive or unhealthy behavior.
  2. Play therapy: This type of therapy is used to treat children. Here, therapists use playtime to observe children’s behavior, identify problems, and help them cope up with those.
  3. Operational Therapy: This type of therapy helps people of all ages to overcome their physical, sensory and cognitive problems. Therapists help people with the use of regular activities, exercises, and other therapies.
  4. Physical Therapy: Physical therapists work with very young children on their basic motor skills such as sitting, rolling, standing, and running.
  5. Speech Therapy: Speech therapists helps people use their voice properly. They help to use muscles properly to make the right sound.

All these are some of the treatments that are useful to treat autism. It is better to detect this problem at the child’s early age. If treated early the child can surely overcome this disability. If it is left untreated, this problem will last for a lifetime.

ASD is just a disability of certain people to do certain things. These people are not any different from others. With proper care and treatment, ASD people can live their life like any other normal person would do. Also, people should understand that there is nothing to feel ashamed of. A person needs to express themselves to get help. Treating this disability at the right time will totally cure autism and help people live a life as they want.

If only I could hold you again.

Cats never lose the drive to get up and try again, no matter how many times they fall. They have a resilient attitude, and they probably know better than we do that making a few mistakes doesn’t rule out the possibility of reaching the long-term success you desire. There’s a reason they have nine lives.

I had my baby “meow”. I’d love to share my joyous tale about how our youngest family member became a member of our family! Every pet has a unique tale, and our sweet “meow” is no exception. During the winter 2018, in my balcony a cute cat came for the sunlight of course. She had given birth to her baby earlier as well. She used to sleep and sun bath in our balcony. Sometimes she also used to demand for food and I loved to feed her. Few months later she suddenly stopped coming to my house. I kept some chicken where she used to sleep before going to college. But after I came back, I knew that she didn’t come. After 20days she came back to my house and I could see her front limb injured.

Oh God, humans are real monster.

I took her inside the room. She was hungry. I brought cat food for her. It was the day I was satisfied the most.

To feed a needy should not be a novel task instead should be normal as breathing.

Then she regularly to come to our house. During December, she felt so cold that she came to my bed to sleep. Earlier she only came to eat but now, I know she chose me, she loved me. From that day after coming from college she was the first whom I search for. Moreover, my parents and brother too got attached to her. Every time I think of my “meow”, I get a nice feeling in my heart.

Why?

It’s a joy to be with a cat! It appears to be reciprocal. I can’t imagine going a day without my “meow”. Neither do she, nor do I.

Because we’re so intertwined. It’s a mystical phenomenon. It’s difficult to put into words. Beyond the realm of possibility. Beyond the realm of reason.I feel spiritually linked while I’m holding her. She extended out when I begin scratching her backs, indicating that she is enjoying it. This is a good sign that I should keep going. She stared at me with her enigmatic eyes. Her stares were difficult to decipher. She did, however, tell me a lot of stuff. She let a flood of emotions out. From me to them and back again. She didn’t have to be able to communicate. Those small meows are understandable to me. Those sighs, those sighs, those sighs, those Even those inconspicuous smiles. And it’s all due of our exceptional friendship. She added happiness to our family.

When I got my first job, she was my stress relief therapy. She begin to fuse her body with mine the moment I touch her, warning me not to let go. When I played with her, the deep joy she brought me is unrivaled. Cats may not be as energetic as dogs, yet their gentleness warms my heart. She could be distant at times. Her snobbish demeanor amused me. Especially when she asked for something and I refused to give it to her. I return the stare. “No,” I tell her. Nonetheless, her gaze was drawn to my soul. It’s impossible to say “no” for an extended period of time. She was aware when I was not feeling well. She took a seat next to me. She kept her distance from me and remain silent. Cats are attempting to cure the sickness. They are caregivers and sharers.

Worst day of my life

After that, there was the dreadful month of 2020. My most cherished children died in lockdown of the year 2020. I was heartbroken. My sadness was palpable. It was unprocessed. It was excruciating.

If only I could hold you again.

If only I could hold you again.

I began to doubt the concept of kindness and life’s fairness. What makes the cosmos so cruel?

How can humans cope with sadness that strikes unexpectedly? Is it possible that our lives will never be the same?

Is it possible to heal from the overwhelming sentiments of sadness and reclaim the joyful feelings of unconditional love?

How is it possible that the source of my delight is now the source of my grief?

How is it possible that the reason for my existence has now become the cause of my extinction?

You could think I’m exaggerating. It’s just a cat, a pet, a living creature. You can always swap out one for another.

But believe me when I say that’s easier said than done. Having a pet is like having a small human for those of us who are animal lovers and live alone. Many individuals will be perplexed by this. It could be difficult to grasp. It’s difficult to accept. But, in many cases, our animals can take the place of humans for comfort and reassurance. But, hey, that’s life. The circle of life progresses in this manner. It just goes on and on. It is up to us to accept the situation and go on. We must release at some point. To relinquish control. Otherwise, we may become engrossed in the pain of loss.

Although the path to recovery is difficult, there is no other way to avoid it. After that dreadful loss, I even promised myself that I would never get another cat. I found myself hugging two fur babies again four months later. They’ve been my medicine as I’ve worked my way back to full health.

I’ve returned to my former self. Someone who enjoys nuzzling cats. That individual who enjoys spending time with cats. That individual who considers cats to be members of their family. That’s how the circle of life works, I just understood. Some of us lose, while others gain. We love and we injure each other. We experience discomfort, but we eventually find relief.I came to the realization that I needed to accept life as it is.

Unique Barriers to Communication

Even after taking care of every other detail, some differences arise. So, to reduce these differences, we have to understand the most common barriers to effective communication.

The method of communication has multiple difficulties. The expected MESSAGE will often be disturbed and twisted leading to a form of difference and collapse of communication. The barriers to effective communication can be of many types.

The communication limits may prevent communication or carry wrong meaning due to which confusion may be created. Hence, it is essential for a supervisor to identify such boundaries and take suitable measures to overcome them. The unique barriers to communication in organizations can be:

1. Physical Barriers to Communication

They are the most prominent barriers to efficient communication. These barriers are mostly easily removable in principle at least. They include barriers like noise, closed doors, faulty equipment used for communication, closed cabins, etc. Sometimes, in a large office, the physical separation between various employees combined with faulty equipment may result in severe barriers to effective communication.
Learn more about Interpersonal Skills and Emotional Intelligence here in detail.

2. Cultural Barriers of Communication

As the world is getting more and more globalized, any big office may have people from various parts of the world. Various cultures have different meanings for several fundamental values of society. Dressing, Religions or lack of them, food, drinks, pets, and the general behaviour will change drastically from one culture to another.
Hence it is a must that we must take these different cultures into account while communicating. This is what we call being culturally appropriate. In many multinational companies, special courses are offered at the orientation stages that let people know about other cultures and how to be courteous and tolerant of others.

3. Organisational Structure Barriers

As we saw there are many systems of communication at an organizational level. Each of these systems has its own problems and constraints that may become barriers to effective communication. Most of these barriers arise because of misinformation or a lack of relevant transparency available to the employees.

4. Attitude Barriers

Some people like to be left alone. They are introverts or just people who are not very social. Others like to be social. Both these cases could become a barrier to communication. Some people have attitude issues, like huge egos and inconsiderate behaviours.

These employees can cause severe tensions in the communication channels that they are present in. Certain personality traits like nervousness, agitation, social anxiety may be removable through courses and proper training. However, problems like egocentric behaviour and self-indulgence may not be correctable.

5. Perception Barriers

Different people perceive the same things differently. This is a fact which we must consider during the communication process. Knowledge of the perception levels of the audience is crucial to effective communication. All the messages or communique must be easy and clear. There shouldnโ€™t be any room for a diversified interpretational set.

6. Physiological Barriers

Certain disorders or diseases or other limitations could also prevent effective communication between the various channels of an organization. The shrillness of voice, dyslexia, etc are some examples of physiological barriers to effective communication. However, these are not crucial because they can easily be compensated and removed.

7. Technological Barriers

Other barriers include technological barriers. The technology is developing fast and as a result, it becomes difficult to keep up with the freshest developments. Hence sometimes the technological advance may become a barrier. In addition to this, the cost of technology is sometimes very high.

Most organizations will not be able to afford a decent tech for the purpose of communication. Hence, this becomes a very crucial barrier. Other barriers are socio-religious barriers. In a patriarchal society, a woman or a transgender may face many difficulties and barriers while communicating.

Common Barriers to Communication

Even after taking care of every other detail, some differences arise. So, to reduce these differences, we have to understand the most common barriers to effective communication.

The method of communication has multiple difficulties. The expected MESSAGE will often be disturbed and twisted leading to a form of difference and collapse of communication. The barriers to effective communication can be of many types.

The communication limits may prevent communication or carry false meaning due to which confusions may be created. Therefore, a supervisor needs to identify such boundaries and take suitable measures to overcome them. The barriers to communication in organizations can be:

1. SEMANTIC Barriers

These are concerned with the obstacles and difficulties in the process of encoding and decoding a message into words or impressions. Usually, such barriers happen due to the use of improper words, erroneous translations, varying interpretations, etc.

For example, a manager has to communicate with workers who have no knowledge of English and on the other side, he is not well conversed with Hindi. Here, language is a barrier to communication as the manager may not be able to communicate properly with the workers.

2. Psychological Barriers

Emotional or psychological factors also play as barriers to communication. The state of mind of both the sender and receiver of communication indicates ineffective communication. A troubled person cannot communicate properly and an irritated recipient cannot understand the message properly.

Thus, at the time of communication, both the sender and the receiver need to be psychologically sound. Also, they should trust each other. If they do not believe each other, they cannot understand each otherโ€™s message in its original sense.

Some people have stage fear, speech disorders, phobia, depression etc. All of these conditions are very difficult to manage sometimes and will most certainly limit the ease of communication.

3. Organizational Barriers

The factors related to organizational structure, rules and regulations authority relationships, etc. may sometimes act as barriers to effective communication. In an organization with a highly centralized pattern, people may not be encouraged to have free communication. Also, rigid rules and regulations and cumbersome procedures may become a hurdle to communication.

4. Personal Barriers

The personal factors of both sender and receiver may act as a barrier to effective communication. If a superior thinks that a particular communication may adversely affect his authority, he may suppress such communication.
Also, if the superiors do not have confidence in the competency of their subordinates, they may not ask for their advice. The subordinates may not be willing to offer useful suggestions in the absence of any reward or appreciation for a good suggestion.

5. Linguistic Barriers

The language barrier is one of the main barriers that limit effective communication. Language is the most commonly employed tool of communication. The fact that each major region has its own language is one of the Barriers to effective communication. Sometimes even a thick dialect may render the communication ineffective.
As per some estimates, the dialects of every two regions change within a few kilometers. Even in the same workplace, different employees will have different linguistic skills. As a result, the communication channels that span across the organization would be affected by this.
Thus keeping this barrier in mind, different considerations have to be made for different employees. Some of them are very proficient in a certain language and others will be ok with these languages.

6. Emotional Barriers

The emotional IQ of a person determines the ease and comfort with which they can communicate. An emotionally mature person will be able to communicate effectively. On the other hand, people who let their emotions take over will face certain difficulties.
A perfect mixture of emotions and facts is necessary for effective communication. Emotions like anger, frustration, humour, can blur the decision-making capacities of a person and thus limit the effectiveness of their communication.

Best 5 Reasons why Soft Skills are essential

What are Soft Skills?

Soft Skills are close to personal credits that impact how well you can function or cooperate with others. These abilities make it simpler to shape associations with individuals, make trust and constancy, and lead groups.

Then again, an absence of soft skills can restrict your latent capacity, or even be the destruction of your business. By creating solid authority, assignment, cooperation, and correspondence capacities, you can run projects all the more easily, convey results that please everybody, and even decidedly impact your own life by further developing how you communicate with others.

Here are some examples that show why are soft skills essential for everybody:

  1. ย Soft skills are in high demand by recruiters

These skills areย in high demand in the workforce. According to theย 2017 paper by a Harvard studentย on the essential of social skills in the labour market, jobs requiring high levels of social interaction increased by around 12 percent as a share of the U.S. labour force.

in-demand soft skills (according to theย LinkedIn research):

  • Communication
  • Organisation
  • Teamwork
  • Critical thinking
  • Social skills
  • Creativity
  • Interpersonal communication
  • Adaptability

2. The future will rely on soft skills

Advances in innovation have caused undertakings that require hard abilities to decay, making delicate abilities a vital differentiation in the working environment. As the expense of robots diminishes and the exhibition of man-made consciousness improves, occupations, for example, producing line laborers, will get computerized. Customary abilities like cooperation, correspondence and basic reasoning will be a higher priority than at any other time.

3. Maintain relationships

Soft Skills not just help your connections in the working environment, they decide your prosperity working with customers and colleagues. Managers search out representatives they can trust to address the organization in an expert and agreeable manner.

4. Facilitate growth

Most soft skills add your capacity to utilize your current abilities well and as well as to create and develop those abilities reliably over the long run. The capacity to acknowledge and carry out input is a delicate expertise that numerous individuals battle with. Businesses likewise need to employ individuals who react to analysis from others as well as reliably search for approaches to improve without being inquired.

5. Customers and clients demand soft skills

Purchasers these days have countless options of where to purchase from, purchased about by the web and cell phones. For these shoppers, accommodation and low costs are not difficult to get a hold of, so client care is frequently what impacts the decision to utilize a specific business.

The ability to communicate at a human level with customers is therefore a vital factor in an organisationโ€™s success.

Lead Acid Battery

Introduction:

The storage battery or secondary battery is such a battery where electrical energy can be stored as chemical energy and this chemical energy is then converted to electrical energy as and when required. The conversion of electrical energy into chemical energy by applying external electrical source is known as charging of battery. Whereas conversion of chemical energy into electrical energy for supplying the external load is known as discharging of secondary battery. The battery which uses lead and lead peroxide for the conversion of the chemical energy into electrical power, this type of battery is called a lead acid battery. The lead acid battery is most commonly used in the power stations and substations because it has higher cell voltage and lower cost. Efficiency of Lead Acid Battery is 50-95%.

Construction of Lead Acid Battery:

The Lead Acid Battery is made up of different parts:

Labelled Diagram of Lead Acid Battery
  • Container–ย The container of the lead acid battery is made of glass, lead lined wood, ebonite, the hard rubber of bituminous compound, ceramic materials or moulded plastics and are seated at the top to avoid the discharge of electrolyte. At the bottom of the container, there are four ribs, on two of them rest the positive plate and the others support the negative plates. The material of which the battery containers are made should be resistant to sulfuric acid, should not deform or porous, or contain impurities which damage the electrolyte.
  • Plates– The plate of the lead-acid cell is made up of lead and active material. they all form some type of grid, it is essential for conducting the electric current and for distributing the current equally on the active material. The grids are made up of an alloy of lead and antimony. The plates of the battery are of two types. They are the formed plates or plante plates and pasted or faure plates.
  • Active Material– The material in a cell which takes active participation in a chemical reaction (i.e. absorption of electrical energy) during charging or discharging is called the active material of the cell. The active elements of the lead acid are:
    • Lead peroxide (PbO2)ย โ€“ It forms the positive active material. The PbO2ย are dark chocolate broom in colour.
    • Leadย โ€“ Its form the negative active material. It is grey in colour.
    • Dilute Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4)ย โ€“ It is used as an electrolyte. It contains 31% of sulfuric acid.
  • Separators–ย The separators are thin sheets of non-conducting material made up of chemically treated leadwood, porous rubbers, or mats of glass fibre and are placed between the positive and negative to insulate them from each other.
  • Battery Terminals– A battery has two terminals the positive and the negative.

Working of Lead Acid Battery:

During charging of battery, current is passed through it which causes some chemical changes inside the battery. This chemical changes absorb energy during their formation. When the battery is connected to the external load, the chemical changes take place in reverse direction, during which the absorbed energy is released as electrical energy and supplied to the load.

The lead acid storage battery is formed by dipping lead peroxide plate and sponge lead plate in dilute sulfuric acid. A load is connected externally between these plates. In diluted sulfuric acid the molecules of the acid split into positive hydrogen ions (H+) and negative sulfate ions (SO4 2-). The hydrogen ions when reach at PbO2 plate, they receive electrons from it and become hydrogen atom which again attack PbO2 and form PbO and H2O (water). This PbO reacts with H2 SO4 and forms PbSO4 and H2O (water).

SO4 2- ions are moving freely in the solution so when they will reach to pure Pb plate where they give their extra electrons and become radical SO4. As the radical SO4 cannot exist alone it will attack Pb and will form PbSO4. As H+ ions take electrons from PbO2 plate and SO4 2- ions give electrons to Pb plate, there would be an inequality of electrons between these two plates. Hence there would be a flow of current through the external load between these plates for balancing this inequality of electrons. This process is called discharging of lead acid battery. During discharging,

  • Both of the plates are covered with PbSO4.
  • Specific gravity of sulfuric acid solution falls due to formation of water during reaction at PbO2ย plate.
  • As a result, the rate of reaction falls which implies potential difference between the plates decreases during discharging process.

Now, when we connect an external DC source to the termial, Hydrogen ions (cation) being positively charged, move to the electrode (cathode) connected with negative terminal of the DC source. Here each H+ ion takes one electron from that and becomes hydrogen atom. These hydrogen atoms then attack PbSO4 and form lead and sulfuric acid.

SO42- ions (anions) move towards the electrode (anode) connected with positive terminal of DC source where they will give up their extra electrons and become radical SO4. This radical SO4 cannot exist alone hence reacts with PbSO4 of anode and forms lead peroxide (PbO2) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4). So, during charging,

  • Lead sulfate anode gets converted into lead peroxide.
  • Lead sulfate of cathode is converted to pure lead.
  • Terminal potential of the cell increases.

Amazing Animal Friendships

Sea Urchins & Crabs

Crabs carry sea urchins on their backs. The sea urchins are sometimes poisonous and hence provide both protection and because the sea urchins are above the crab, the crab is perfectly secured from the predators. In return, sea urchins get free rides underwater.

Wolves & Hyenas

As wolves have excellent hunting skills, they help the hyenas to hunt. The hyenas in return help the wolves to find the prey by their excellent olfactory skills and ability to rip off the bones of the prey.

Oxpecker birds & Zebra

Oxpecker birds help the zebra by eating the ticks from the zebraโ€™s body. The zebras get rid of the evil pests from their body and in return, the birds get a delicious meal to fill their appetite.

Also, when these birds sense any type of danger (predators) near, they give out a warning call to the zebra to save themselves.

Crocodiles & Egyptian plover

These Egyptian plovers help the crocodile by cleaning their gums from leeches, as the leeches cause infection to the crocodiles and in return, the Egyptian plovers get some amazing meal for them.

India gets a BAFTA nomination!!!

Films play a huge role in our life, and especially during these times where we cannot go outside to travel with our friends and family to the places that we want to go or had the plans to go. That’s when films and TV shows helped us to go through our lockdowns and be sane in this pandemic. There were many films released this year and brought to us via digital platforms. One such film that we are waiting for it to release in India is “SHEER QORMA”.

Sheer Qorma an upcoming Indianย short filmย Dramaย LGBTย romanceย written and directed by Faraz Arif Ansari and produced by Marijke de Souza. It is produced by Futterwacken Films. Starringย Shabana Azmi,ย Divya Duttaย andย Swara Bhaskar, the film revolves around a woman and a non-binary person (played by Dutta and Swara Bhaskar) in love with each other.

Sheer Qorma has won Best Short Film Audience Award at the Frameline Fest and has also qualified for the BAFTA this year. The Faraz Arif Ansari directorial was screened at the Frameline Fest as part of the Enby Love shorts program. The film also recently won the Best Short Film, Audience award at the 34th Connecticut LGBT Festival.

Sheer Qorma is a romantic drama that showcases how love is judged in society based on gender and how people have preconceived notions about sexuality. It has Swara playing the role of a Pakistani-Canadian citizen who travels to India with her lover (Divya Dutta). But Duttaโ€™s mother, played by Shabana Azmi, finds it difficult to come to terms with her daughterโ€™s choices.

Speaking about the film in an earlier statement, Ansari had shared, โ€œThe character that Shabana ji essays in Sheer Qorma is going to not only resonate with mothers all across the world but will also open a much needed dialogue about parenthood, and with not just parents of queer children but a more universal dialogue that I hope will bring a lot of love back in our universe. Shabana jiโ€™s character in Sheer Qorma is the mother we all deserve.โ€

Sheer Qorma has travelled to several film festivals but is yet to release in India.

A TREAT OF HEAVEN

ANDAMAN AND NICOBAR ISLAND

In this blog, I am going to take you to the middle of the sea. Wondering where? The island which is very famous because of our freedom fighters where they had to spend years behind the bars. Yes, you are guessing right, I am talking about Andaman and Nicobar Island. This place is heaven on the earth if you havenโ€™t visited yet after reading this blog about Andaman and Nicobar Island, I am sure that you all will be going to book your tickets now! So, letโ€™s start our online trip to Andaman and Nicobar.

I am going to talk about the places where I had visited in Andaman and Nicobar.

  1. Havelock
  2. Neil island
  3. Cellular Jail
  4. Ross Island

Havelock is the spotlight of the Andaman and Nicobar tourism, it is very famous for the beaches and greenery, in short, it is the feast for the eyes. Clyster clear water, white sand will definitely soothe your eyes. In 2018 our prime minister Narendra Modi has changed the name of havelock to swaraj deep. Yes I know you all want to know how to reach there, you have to book ferries and it will take 90 min to reach there. Places to visit in havelock are:

  1. RADHA NAGAR BEACH:

Radha Nagar beach is one of the most well-known beaches in Andaman and Nicobar andย  the best beach in Asianย  described by the Time magazine. sky blue sea with crystal clear water and white sand where you and enjoy your day you can play in the water you can swim in the water you can also take sun-bath there. There are large numbers of huts, benches and wooden chairs where you can sit and relax there and can enjoy the beauty of nature.

They also provide you with changing rooms where you can change you wet cloths.

  1. ELEPHANT BEACH

Donโ€™t judge this place by its name, you might be thinking that there must be many elephants but it is not like that. Elephant beach is very famous for water sports, it gives you numerous water activities. Letโ€™s discuss in more details about water sports.

  • SCUBA DIVING :ย

In scuba diving, you are taken under-water where you can see the breath-taking view of aquatic life. You can see untouched coral reefs, vibrant fishes, under-water vegetation and under-water ecosystem.

Expectation

” The two way to be happy : improve

your reality or lower your expectation. “

Expectation. The real killer of our happiness is our expectation. What does an expectation mean we all know but why do we expect? Is it worthy? Do we get something more by expecting?

I think a person is solely responsible for their happiness. And you give that responsibility to another person when you expect from someone. Many people will now get frustate and say, “what rubbish are you saying? Expecting from someone we love or from someone we are attached to is not wrong.” Yes, of course it’s not wrong but it’s the enemy. Enemy of our happiness, our smile if they remain unmet. You don’t need to end up your all expectation. No. You just need to set a limit for then beyond which you can’t expect at any cost as if you did so, you are opening up a way for lots of disappointments. You often believe that like the way you have treated others, you will also get the same treatment in return. Here, the life plays it’s game and gives you a surprise with a very different behaviour. Either it will met you expectation or will go beyond your expectation, can ne very good or very bad.

See, if you have thought in advance that yes I’ll not get the same thing back, it can be good or bad, then congratulations buddy, you have prepared yourself for whatever the result would be. Nothing can disappoint or harm you then. If you don’t have expectations, you can never be disappointed.

” Expectation is the root of all heartache. “

ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  –Shakespeare

Keeping too much expectation can destroy a relation too. Look, if you have high expectation from someone and if they fail to fulfil them, then what would be the result. Of course misunderstandings. And those misunderstandings are enough to break that relation.

” We can’t expect others to change –ย

the only thing we can depend on successfully

changing out attitude towards them. “

Other people are not aware of what you are expecting from them and when those expectations remain unmet, we get upset that the person is not like what we have expected. How would he be? Did the person is aware of what you are expecting from him? The answer is no. It’s not the mistake of that person, it’s the fault of yours.

We don’t only expect from other humans, we also expect from our life, situations, etc. Life is not fair with anyone. Every person has a breakdown in their life at some point of their life. Reason for that can be anything. At that point manyย  people ask from their life, why me? Dear, you need to accept the fact that life is not fair with anyone and it’s not necessary that it will be fair with you all the time. It will check you over and over again. Rather than questioning you need to learn and fight.

Keeping high expectation either from life or from any person will always hurt you, disappoint you. So, if you want to live fearless and happy, just limit your expectations as much as you can and from everyone no matter how much you love them. The people we love the most can also turn into the person who can hurt us the most. Enjoy things while they last. Be okay when they break. Living without or little expectation requires accepting the worst and aiming for the best.

Stock Exchange

What is Stock Exchange?

A stock exchange also called as securities exchange (for example, NYSE, BSE, NASDAQ, etc), is a facility where stockbrokers and traders can buy and sell securities, such as shares of stock and bonds and other financial instruments. Stock exchanges may also provide facilities for the issue and redemption of such securities and instruments and capital events including the payment of income and dividends. Securities traded on a stock exchange include stock issued by listed companies, unit trusts, derivatives, investment products and bonds.

Stock exchanges often function as “continuous auction” markets with buyers and sellers performing transactions via open outcry at a central location such as the floor of the exchange or by using an electronic trading platform (such as Zerodha, Upstox, Groww, etc) . To be able to trade a security on a certain stock exchange, the security or shares of that particular company must be listed on that stock exchange. Usually, there is a central location at least for record keeping, but trade is increasingly less linked to a physical place, as modern markets use electronic communication networks, which give them advantages of increased speed and reduced cost of transactions. There is usually no obligation for stock to be issued through the stock exchange itself, nor must stock be subsequently traded on an exchange. Such trading may be off exchange or over the counter. This is the usual way that derivatives and bonds are traded. Increasingly, stock exchanges are part of a global securities market.

How does a Stock Exchange Functions?

Stock markets are a bridge between the companies and the potential buyers. This can also be termed as a professional relation between a seller and a buyer. Giants list their stocks on the stock exchange thus allowing the market
buyers to invest in them with a probability of very lower risk in the purchase.

The purpose here is to raise money which can be further invested into the growth of their firms. That supply and demand help determine the price for each security, or the levels at which stock market participants โ€” investors and traders are willing to buy or sell. Computer algorithms generally do most of those calculations. The stock purchase and selling these days works completely online and is a faster way of performing the tasks. There was a time in history when the trading used to go offline, and window purchase was the trend of the time.

What are benefits of Stock Exchange?

The few benefits of stock exhanges and how it alters or affects countries market scenario are as follows:

  • Increased Evaluations – People tend to prefer the companies listed on the stock markets for their investments and returns.
  • Deeper Profile Impact – Companies listed on the stock exchange have higher recognition than the privately held companies, which makes it the safer ground to play.
  • Easy Access to Worthy Capitals – Companies listed here are more prone to being invested into. They can get access to a larger crowd if they want the shareholders to buy stakes.
  • High Returns on Investment – This is an unarguable point for every investor. The game of investment is vested into larger returns.
  • Enhances the brand value – The companies work, day and night for the market recognition. The stock exchanges provide them with the opportunity to get to the people.
  • Lower risk on Cost Capital – Companies listed on exchange have a lower credit risk that helps the banks to provide for capitals on their name. Privately held companies are at a greater risk of diverging capitals.

Bombay Stock Exchange

The BSE, formerly known as the Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. is an Indian stock exchange located at Dalal Street, Mumbai. As India’s largest exchange provider – and having a market capitalization of $218,730 billion โ€“ it is 9th largest stock exchanges in the world. The exchange also offers trading in equities, ETFs, mutual funds, fixed income
as well as currency and commodity derivatives.

DOWRY-AN EVIL PRACTICE

DOWRY SYSTEM

The dowry system refers to the durable goods, cash, and real or movable property that the bride’s family gives to the groom, his parents and his relatives as a condition of the marriage.

Dowry system was introduced in England in the 12th century by the Normans. Earlier to this there was another kind of practice where husband gave some kind of morning gift to his wife. Dowry was generally given at the wedding by the husband at the church door in front of all present public. In India, it has it’s roots in the medieval times when a gift in cash or kind was given to a bride by her father to maintain her independence after her marriage. During colonial period, it became the only legal way to get married, with the British making the practice of dowry mandatory.

Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961

Dowry Prohibition Act, enacted on May 1, 1961, states to prevent the giving and receiving of a dowry. Under the Dowry Prohibition Act, dowry includes property, goods or money given by either party to the marriage, by the parents of either party or by anyone else in connection with the marriage. This act was passed to put an end to the receiving and giving of an evil practice.

Dowry cases in India

India has the highest number of dowry related deaths in the world according to India National Crime Record Bureau. In 2012, 8,233 dowry death cases were reported across India. This means a bride was burned every 90 minutes, or dowry case issues cause 1.4 deaths per year per 100,000 women in India. Number of reported dowry death cases in India 2005-2019 – In 2019,reported dowry death cases in India amounted to more than 7.1 thousand. This was a gradual decrease from the 2014, in which this was approximately 8.5 thousand. According to World Bank Blog in India the highest dowry system practice is in Kerala. Since 1970 Kerala exhibits stark and persistent dowry inflation and had the highest average dowry in recent years, similar inflationary trends are seen across Haryana, Punjab and Gujarat.

Bad Effects of Dowry

  • Dowry leads to harassing a women.
  • Women are ill-treated, disrespected, tortured and are subjected to sorts of cruelties in the name of dowry.
  • Women are killed or murdered.
  • Women are abused.
  • Dowries maintain gender inequality.
  • Dowries keep women from economic independence.
  • Dowries trap poor people in debt.
  • Dowries discriminate against the disabled.

Dowry is a social evil in the society, that has caused unimaginable tortures and crimes towards women. The evil has taken lives of many women from all types of society be it poor, middle class or the rich. However it is the poor who succumb and fall prey to it, more due to their lack of awareness and education.

Causes of dowry system in India

  • Greed – The expectation that a dowry will be given at the time of the bride and groom’s engagement is to compensate for the groom’s education, career, and wealth. The bride’s education, career and wealth are completely disregarded, as she is not given equal societal status to a man.
  • Lack of education – The bride’s family, unaware and un-knowledgeable of the laws, face outrageous financial ultimatums, which when not met, lead to mistreatment of their daughters.

Important Steps to eradicate dowry

  • Educate your daughters.
  • Encourage them to have their own career.
  • Teach them to be independent and responsible.
  • Treat them equally without any discrimination.
  • Do not encourage the practice of giving or taking dowry.

Urbanisation

Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing good and are safe. I am here to throw some light upon the topic Urbanisation.
Urbanisation is one of the most important cause of population explosion. Generally each and everyone of us want a better standard of living than what we are having now. We all plan for having a good life always. In order to get a good and desired standard of living we need to work hard for it. People struggle for getting good job opportunities now a days as most companies don’t have their preferred vacancies.
Finding good job opportunities to have a better lifestyle is not a problem but in order to make it happen people from all the rural areas migrate to urban areas and that is what we call urbanisation. There are many causes and effects of urbanisation. The causes include the people who are in search of good jobs to lead a proper life but there are some very harmful consequences because of that. Firstly, urban areas are running out of space for people to occupy it and start to lead a life there. Second thing even if they find a place to leave there is a shortage of all the basis necessities. There are atleast four needs that one should have that is food, shelter, good air and clothes to wear.
Now because of the increasing population in urban areas there is an increase in the demand for shelter and because of which trees are been cut in order to establish settlements there for people to reside which leads to exploitation of natural resources. Other than shelter, food is a necessity. Increasing number of people increases the demand for food as well and which is why farmers while yielding crops can’t make it happen naturally. It is hard for them to harvest an increased amount of crops in a shorter time as the demand rises. Due to all these reasons farmers tend to apply a huge amount of chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides to get the crops in a shorter time which results in soil erosion. This harms the land so much that it is not possible for farmers to yield crops on that land again. All this leads to scarcity of cultivable land.
People start residing in slums by building those near good and developed areas as they can’t find place to stay. Many of us don’t even have that much amount of money in order to pay huge rent and stay in an apartment. It is just not affordable. People start to use lakes and dams as their means of consumption. This also results in contamination of water which means water pollution. As the population in urban areas increases there is an increase in the number of private vehicles which results in air pollution and can cause many diseases such as asthma etc.
We should avoid wasting resources as its not just ours, we need to provide it to further generations too. We need to start sustainable development and love according to it in order to give humans a better life in present and in future too. It is understandable that a better standard of living is essential now a days but if it brings so many consequences then it will do no good to us in future. Though doing all this will give us a good living but it will just be temporary and can cause harsh consequences. Lets get together in order to save our environment and take good care of it.
Thank you!

Muna Madan Book Review

Introduction

Scarcely any individuals haven’t knew about Devkota’s most popular creation, the Muna Madan. This short epic about Muna and Madan is notable in Nepali, however its English interpretation is similarly notable. Madan, a helpless rancher, chooses to go to Tibet as a vendor to get cash, leaving behind his old mother and love bird spouse, Muna. Muna beseeches her husband to stay, however Madan withdraws with expectations of aggregating abundance for the family. The sonnet is a deplorable portrayal of the challenges Muna and Madan experience while they hold on to rejoin with one another. Muna Madan, while being a short epic, has become a business achievement and is viewed as an exemplary in Nepali writing.

About Book

Muna-Madan recounts the account of each Nepali family whose male person fantasies about acquiring sufficient cash to meet the family’s necessities and wants by leaving for a far off country. Madan, the hero of this jhyaure society meter story, chooses to take a shot in Lhasa, however he neglects to get back on schedule, bringing about a family misfortune.

About Laxmi Prasad Devkota

Maha kavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota (1909-1959) was one of Nepal’s most renowned writers. He composed sagas like Shakuntala and Sulochana, just as various enormous account sonnets like Muna-Madan, Maina, Mayavini Sarsi, and others. Notwithstanding verse, he composed self-portraying papers, which were assembled in Laxmi Nibandba Sangraha and Dadimko Rukhanera. Also, he has wrote a few plays, the vast majority of which are beautiful, just as one-act plays and a novel named Champa. The title Laxmi Katha Sangraha was given to an assortment of his short stories. He set up the act of writing in English first and afterward making an interpretation of Nepali works into English.

Story

Muna Madan is a people epic written in a melodious version in 1935 by Nepalese writer Laxmi Prasad Devkota that tells the heartbreaking account of Muna and Madan. It is one of Nepali writing’s most notable works. “It would be okay if every one of my works were singed, save for Muna Madan,” Devkota broadly said not long before his passing in 1959. It is the best Nepali book at any point created as far as deals. It’s anything but’s a customary Jhaurey song. The story follows a man (Madan) who leaves his significant other (Muna) and goes to Lhasa to bring in cash. Madan is a delegate of all Nepalese young people who move abroad to get by.

Muna, Madan’s wife, is the queen of love and sacrifice. She adores her Madan and is heartbroken that she must send him to Lahsa, a land filled with dangers and hardships. But, in the end, she embraces the challenge and stays in the country with her elderly and frail mother-in-law.Madan falls ill on the way back to his house. His buddies abandon him on the route and return home to inform him that he has died. Finally, he is rescued by a Nepalese man who belongs to a lower caste. That is why a man is said to be wonderful not because of his caste or race, but because of his heart, which is full of love and humanity.

Madan comes to Kathmandu after regaining his health to find that his mother and beloved wife have passed away. Madan eventually realizes that money has no meaning at that time. The story also depicts the lives of a poor widow who went through a lot without her spouse and eventually died of despair. Devkota has written on the most pressing issues confronting Nepalese society at the time in this poem.Laxmi Prasad Devkota wishes to stabilize the truths of traditional societies, unscientific ideas, and the detrimental effects of unemployment and poverty in Nepalese society via the story of Muna and Madan. By writing about Muna and Madan’s relationship, the poet has beautifully characterized love.

The work has proven to be a significant contribution to Nepalese literature. This is a must-read work in Nepali literature, in my opinion.

COVID-19

SECOND WAVE CAN ENFEEBLE INDIAN ECONOMY

It has been more than one and half year since the COVID-19 pandemic made the way for the great core of human progress and made us to understand the power of mother nature. To understand impact of the second wave on Indian economy, letโ€™s remember the first wave and also its impact on the Indian economy. The first wave of covid-19 gave us the phrase where the nation went into lockdown for a long period with the less numbers of peak cases. But the lockdown continued. After reporting the very  first case in late January 2020 in the state of Kerala, India introduced rigorous effect of coronavirus (COVID-19). The following weeks saw a quick progression of covid leading to a suspension of all travel in and out of the country by March 22 that year. While infections proceed to increase during this period, We were now quarantined  to our homes to lower the spread of the virus. Economists slit the GDP rates for the anticipatable future due to the crystal clear impact of the lockdown. Unsurprisingly, the most touched industries i.e. services and manufacturing, precisely travel & tourism, financial services, with sinking rates of up to 23% between April and June 2020. In the direction of the end of 2020, however, India saw some appearance of healing of certain sectors. The pandemic came with inconstancy and hint on all aspects of business across the world.  For small businesses, however, it depended on how long they could ride out the storm. And this pandemic changed scenario and the daily lifestyles drastically. Economic activity began to take a hit again in March 2021, and it resulted the country to face the second wave of the pandemic. On May 31, Government of India announced the facts for GDP for the financial year 2020-21, GDP shrink by 7.3%. It can be considered as the most severe contraction from the time of independence till now. As the outcome, GDP forecasts were envisioned to fall, lays losses at over 38 billion U.S. dollars if lockdown resume till June 2021.

IMPACT OF SECOND WAVE SECTOR WISE

MANUFACTURING SECTOR

Manufacturing was the sector which underwent through the first as well as the second wave. To lower down the spread of coronavirus, many manufacturing sectors went for working at lesser capacity or made them to shut down completely. Manufacturing sector with non-essential facilities was also tremble for long time and with more strict restrictions. The fear of the continuing of the lockdown made migration back to their villages.

AGRICULTURE SECTOR

Strict rules and long period of lockdown has been seen in many rural parts of the nation. The Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) Mandis seen to be closed for all the functions or have taken steps according to their situation. Specially, Mandis in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra were seen to be closed during peak of harvesting.

SERVICE SECTOR

From the last 20 years services sector has been the backbone of the Indian economy contributing to more than half of the GDP. The first wave of covid-19 made a straight line required for an organization to development of infrastructure and processes for remote working. For the employees, first lockdown made them to work within the four wall which took time for them to get to work from home and be productive. But the second wave disturbed this pattern again.

The Gut & Brain Relationship

Recent studies show how gut health affects the brain and vice-versa. This relationship between the gut and brain is called the gut-brain axis.

As we all know that brain has specialized cells called neurons, these neurons are responsible for various biological processes in the human body. There are numerous neurons found in the human gut. One of the largest nerves in the human body called the vagus-nerve connects our brain to the gut and gut to the brain.

A study proved that how stress induces gastrointestinal problems. Also, the gut is responsible for producing short-chain fatty acids that affect the brain by reducing the urge of eating. Butyrate that is a form of short-chain fatty acids is responsible for the blood-brain barrier. Also, the gut produces amino acids and bile that affects the brain.

Like the brain, the gut also produced neurotransmitters such as serotonin and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). Serotonin contributes to the feeling of happiness and GABA controls emotions like fear and anxiety.

Putting it in a nutshell, the health of the gut affects the health of the brain. Research is going on in the manufacturing of probiotics (probiotics are live edible bacteria that are taken for a healthy gut) that affects both the gut and the brain and such probiotics are called psychobiotics.

Mental Health and Lockdown

Lockdown has affected a lot of lives in various different ways. The situation has worsened than before. During this pandemic period, everyone irrespective of their financial standards is facing a crisis in their daily life. People are majorly focusing on the financial problems that people are facing nowadays. But who’ll stand for the people who are suffering from mental illness? Society must understand that along with physical health and personal economy, mental health is also a vital part of life. Lockdown was for the people to stay healthy. But is it really working? Because even if people seems to be physically fine they are not necessarily present at a good emotional state.

Mental Wellness and How to Improve It - Domus Retreatยฎ

How did lockdown affected people’s emotional well being?

The country faced huge economic decrement in this pandemic. Due to lockdown, most of the local businesses were kept close. Many companies were shut down due to less financial support. As a result of this, huge population of was unemployed. Even the newbies faced difficulties in finding jobs. We cannot deny that unemployment is a primary reason for the rise of mental illness during the lockdown.

As people had to stay home for a very long time, they could not get fresh air. Because people stayed home for a very long time it affected people’s mind. People started having mood swings. Domestic fights have increased and as a result, environment at home gets polluted. As a result of all this, people went into depression. Number of suicide attempts have increased than before. People who were under depts chose the option to end their lives so as to get rid of problems. Lack of physical activity resulted in other health problems.

Why is mental health important?

Before we understand the importance of emotional well being let us have a sneek peek at its importance. To stay emotionally fit, it is of high importance that society should know its significance. Here are a few reasons that shows how vital it is to be mentally healthy.

Mental health in association with physical health

Physical and emotional health goes hand in hand. If you are not happy, if you are in a lot of stress you’ll might face some physical health issues. For instance, if you take a lot of tension, your BP might shoot. You will have headache and many other physical problems.

Life risks

Mental sickness leads to some life threatening acts. If left untreated, the person will go into depression and might take some dangerous decisions. An emotionally unhealthy person is not only a threat for himself but also for the people he is in regular touch.

Social problems

People who suffer from emotional trauma might isolate themselves sometimes. They can start drugs consumption. Violence, verbal abuse all these results in weak social relationship of those people.

Exercises to improve mental stability

Promote Mental Health by Communicating Benefits, Leading by Example

One can increase their mental stability with the help of extremely basic activities. No need of external help. Say no to medicines, psychiatrist, or any external counsellor. Follow these basic steps that are mentioned below and have a healthy mind.

  1. Discuss issues with loved ones. It is very important to open yourself in front of people. The more you keep things in your heart the more they affect you.
  2. Do meditation regularly. Meditation reduces anxiety and stress.
  3. Maintain a diary. You should write your daily activities in your diary. This will help you understand how productive your day was.
  4. Instead of thinking about the negativity in your life, focus on all positive things that occurs.
  5. Spend time with your loved ones. Play games and other indoor physical activities that will reduce stress.
  6. Go for walks in your building complex and communicate more and more with people.

Lockdown has been a difficult phase in everyone’s life. Whether it be rich or poor, young or kids, employed or unemployed, everyone faced difficulties. As a part of the society it is our duty to help people in every possible way. We need to understand that our physical health is of no use if we do not have a good mental health. Countries throughout the world are facing these issues. We should understand that all this is temporarily and things will be good.

“Tragedy King” bids adieu at 98

Mohammed Yusuf Khanย akaย Dilip Kumarย left us today morning for his humble abode at the age of 98, due to his age-related illness. As he left us today many stars all over the country are paying respects to him through social media and expressing how he was an institution in himself and how he helped them and will help them to act in every phase of their life.

Dilip Sahab was or, say is indeed an institution in himself when it comes to films. He started his career in 1944 with a film called Jwar Bhatta which went unnoticed. After a few more unsuccessful movies, he got his break from Jugnu(1947) in which he starred alongside Noor Jehan, which became his first major hit at the box office. His next major hits were the 1948 films,ย Shaheedย andย Mela.

He got his breakthrough role in 1949 with Mehboob Khan’sย Andaz, in which he starred alongside Raj Kapoor and Nargis.ย Shabnamย also released that year was another box office hit.

The 1950s were the breakthrough years for Kumar’s career with movies like Devdas (1955), where he established himself as the actor who can portray such a complex character with so much love and can feel the pain of the character just by reading the script of the movie. Dilip Sahab had the quality of making his audience feel the pain, laughter and love just through his acting and his eye

Kumar with actorsย Raj Kapoorย &ย Nargisย in a scene of the filmย Andaz(1949)

Talking about Dilip Sahab feels incomplete if we don’t include the iconic film of every generation, Mughal-e-Azam. This movie set the benchmark of any historical movie made in future and will be made. He has cast again the beautiful Madhubala as Prince Salim, with Prithiviraj Kapoor as his father playing Emperor Akbar. Everything about this movie was just perfect, we felt the love and pain of Salim towards Anarkali through his performance and nobody has ever touched that level of acting ever. And nobody will ever be able to touch THE DILIP KUMAR level of acting.

Even before there were three Khans of Bollywood, there was “THE FIRST KHAN” and that was Dilip Sahab. Dilip Sahab was and is an institution to the whole future generation of actors in life on how to lead in life and not only movies.ย

The “TRAGEDY KING” is a legacy in himself and nobody could be close to that legacy. He holds the Guinness World Record for winning the maximum number of awards by an Indian actor. He is the only actor who has received international accolades at that time when no one looking towards the Indian cinema. The Government of India honoured Dilip Sahab with India’s second-highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan, for his contributions to Indian cinema(2015). Elected to Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Indian Parliament. (2000-2006). Dadasaheb Phalke Award (1994). India’s third-highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan, for his contributions towards Indian cinema (1991). Appointed as the Sheriff of Bombay by the Governor of Maharashtra, India for the period (1979-1982).

The government of Pakistan honoured him with its highest civilian honour, the Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Order of Excellence) (1998). Till the 2000s Kumar was the only actor to have won 8 Filmfare Best Actor Awards until his record was shared by Shahrukh Khan by the mid-2000s.

From the Independence of India to the late 2010s Kumar held the record of giving the highest number of box office grossing films(9 films) until his record was broken by Salman Khan by delivering 10 films. But when adjusted for inflation, the record remains with Kumar. His historical movie Mughal-E-Azam is the highest-grossing film (equivalent to 2000 crores in 2015) in India when adjusted for inflation.

Dilip Kumar’s death is shattering as it is the END OF AN ERA, the actor who had the capability to make his audience cry and laugh, feel love just by his eyes and expressions. And at the end, I would just like to end by saying one of his dialogues only,ย

Taqdeerein badal jaati hain, zamana badal jaata hai, mulkon ki taarikh badal jaati hai, shahenshah badal jaate hain, magar iss badalti hui duniya mein mohabbat jis insaan ka daaman thaam leti hai, woh insaan nahi badalta”ย ย

SELF LOVE : a step to be yourself

There is nothing wrong with putting your happinessย first. It’s SELF LOVE

Self love, the two very beautiful words that opens up a way to fascinating life, not for others but of course for yourself.

Many people take self love as becoming selfish. Let me take the honour of correcting them. Dear, self love dosen’t mean that one is becoming selfish. From the childhoodย  we have been taught that our action should not hurt others, you can’t be happy if you hurt others, you should keep everyone happy. But what about us? Should we give the responsibility of our happiness to others? Is there any guarantee that other people will definately keep us happy or is there any guarantee that our one action will keep everyone happy? The answer to this is a big no. We can’t keep everyone happy and satisfied. Here not thinking about anyone dosen’t meant that you hurt someone intentionally and justify your action with self love. That’s of course wrong.

Thinking about ourself first, thinking for our happiness first dosen’t make us selfish. It is the most powerful thing that you can do in your whole life. Self love dosen’t give only happiness , it gives us motivation. Strength of facing difficult situations in life, builds up decision making capability because if you have learnt to love yourself then you can easily decide what is good for you and which decision of yours will make you more happy. It is the root of all. If you think that you can keep others happy, can love others unconditionally without loving yourself first then, so sorry dude, you are wrong. You can give someone something only when you own that thing and that’s why you can love someone unconditionally only when you love yourself unconditionally. Everything around you begins with yourself first. Each and every person deserve to be loved, not only by others but by own first. Start appreciating yourself for what you have done, start motivating yourself for what you want to achieve, celebrate your achievements. Trust me you will start feeling better, you will start to live better.

How to keep yourself happy

Start to know yourself. Start working on things that makes you happy. true self love is giving yourself unconditional respect, love and appreciation. It’s reminding yourself that you are worthy, valuable and deserve all the happiness. You can follow the following brilliant tips to start loving yourself first :-

  • Clear your mind : Make yourself clear about what you actually want and try to ignore all if and but. Here ignoring if and but dosen’t mean inviting problems by doing unjustified act. Doing anything with a baggage of doubt or by force can never give you a complete satisfaction and of course if you are not satisfied with what you are doing then you can’t be happy.
  • Follow your passion and hobbies :ย Start taking out few hours from a day for your passion or the thing what you like to do, thing that makes you feel better. every person have a some kind of hobbies but they tend to ignore those things in the pressure of their job or their hectic schedule. Try to invest a bit of your precious time in your hobbies as well. It will give you mental peace and will also enhance your working capacity.
  • Stop comparing yourself :ย All the problem starts with comparison. When you compare yourself with another creature, you feel demotivate. You feel like there is a person who is far better than you and for this you start blaming yourself also that why are you not like him/her. Why can’t you think it this way that each person in respect of other is different? Why can’t you think that you also possess some good qualities? Start thinking this way. You will improve. No person in the whole world is just perfect. Each and every person have some kind of good thing or bad as well. So, just accept yourself and try to improve only, not change or like anyone else. Be the improved version of yourself only.
  • Surround yourself with people with you feel good :ย This is important. Toxic people can destroy our each step towards our happiness. They are the biggest hurdle between us and our happiness. Directly they don’t target but their action does. Pick few people from your squad who are innovative, with whom you feel happy and comfortable. Their company will enhance your inner peace.
  • Accept what you cannot love :ย Every person have some bad sides, we have talked about this above as well. It’s easy to love what you love about yourself but not for what you don’t. Try to understand this very carefully. You don’t need to force either yourself or your mind to love what you don’t. Accept your flaws and just focus on improvement. Self love dosen’t mean that you are supposed to love everything about yourself. That will definately make you selfish. Just accept that yes, I am bad at this and I’ll improve rather than blaming, ‘oh god! Iam bad at this, now what next, blah! blah! blah!

So dear, take a deep breath, start thinking and start working for yourself as well. Only you can make you happy.

“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line.

You really need to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”

Women Empowerment

Hello everyone! I am here to talk about Women Empowerment.
It is an issue that we are supposed to be paying attention on long back. Women empowerment is something that is very important for a developed and successful country. Each and every educated one according to my proper knowledge will want women to get empowered as they know the importance having equality in a nation. In the earlier days women were supposed to keep quite in all the problem solving and decision making matters, they were expected to just do household chores. The condition and thinking was so bad that at some households women were supposed to have their meals after the men of the house.
Patriarchy was there on an extent that men were supposed to be the only leaders of their house. They used to take decisions and everyone should go according to what they say and what they feel is right. There was also a Sati system where women were told to die if their husband did. No one asked women if they want to do that or not. Irrespective of how a women feels about a certain thing, she was told to do it without giving any options or choices. People were so ignorant about the feelings of women.
Now as years have passed and people have gained knowledge. Modernisation has led to make women of some regions feel a little bit equal to men. Earlier there used to only be one earning member in the house that is man and women were always playing a role of depending members in the family. As time have passed women are getting chances to speak on certain topics and this is where I feel there is freedom of speech and expression finally given to a woman. In order to make women feel equal to men there are a lot of things we can do individually as well as forming groups and campaigns.
In an individual way we can let woman make certain choices and decisions that are considered really very important which will make them feel happy that they are given importance of taking such decisions for the family or any other matter. The idea of not eating together is however vanished in a lot of places now. Women have meals with their family at the same time but still there are some families who are following same old traditions that needs to be changed in order to see our country make progress. We should think that in today’s economy, to lead a healthy and successful life with luxury there should be more than one earning member in a family. This is where women should be encouraged to do jobs and earn so that even they get motivated and love themselves for being independent.
I feel that women is a very supporting pillar of a country. Other than taking care of household and reproducing, she should also be treated as equal in workplaces. Government has come with so many campaigns related to empowering women. Even we should altogether form groups and donate some amount of our salary for the women who are been thrown out of their houses because they didn’t obeyed those orthodox thinking. With that money we should find women good job opportunities and help them so that they don’t depend on anyone in their lives.
Thank you!

Shirishko phool (Mimosa Tree): Book Review

The narrator is a seasoned combat veteran. The veteran tells the story from beginning to end. Throughout the story, he changes his mind about war crimes. He dismisses them at first, but eventually identifies and condemns them. The novel’s development spans two years. The narrative emphasizes the seasonal variations and the Mimosa tree. The season reflects his own growth and situation.

About the book

This beautiful novel was written by one of the most talented lady in the Nepali literature sector, we all know her as Parijat. This book was published by Sanjha prakashan, in 2068 B.S., this novel was also awarded with โ€˜Madan Puraskarโ€™ in 2022 B.S.

This tale tries to exhibit how an individual’s life, perspective, and impression of things might be affected by any experience. Suyog’s Army experience ended up being something that demolished his life and transformed him into an individual he disdains. He holds a similar discernment in the wake of leaving the gathering until he experiences Sakambari. This tale additionally portrays how a commonplace Nepali man sees a woman and how he feels about his significant other. The contemplations of a desolate individual are shown incredibly precisely in this work, including the impression that they detest their dejection yet are hesitant to enlighten others regarding it because of a paranoid fear of others downplaying their quandary.

About Parijat

Parijat traveled to Kathmandu to continue her education in English literature after growing up in a privileged household in Darjeeling. She claims that after studying several French, Russian, and Indian literature in particular, she was disappointed by Nepali writings. Consequently, despite her beginnings as a poet, she vowed to write an outstanding Nepali language novel. While studying for her I.A. and B.A. degrees, she wrote four novels, all of which she burned. She was then bedridden for three years due to sickness, during which time she penned her fifth novel, Shirishko Phool, which she opted to publish.

Story

This is a story about a man named Suyog, who was a previous warrior in the British-Gurkha Army who served in WWII; he resigned after the conflict and presently gets by on his annuity. Suyog reviews a mate he made, Shiva raj, and how he was visiting his home interestingly and the scenes he saw there toward the beginning of the story. Shiva raj is a man with a great deal of obligation in his life; he has three unmarried sisters at home to help and their investigations. They’re subsequently found to be two heavy drinkers who ended up gathering in a bar.

Sakambari, one of Shiva Ram’s sisters, is the next character to enter Suyog’s life. She has a very different outlook on life and, in many circumstances, is diametrically opposed to Suyog. Suyog is continually made fun of by her, which keeps her picture fresh in his head. Unlike Sakambari, Shiva Ram’s other sister Mujura gradually becomes someone Suyog considers ideal wife material. He doesn’t love Mujura; all he wants is to marry her and have her as his wife to help him cope with his loneliness.

“Swasni lae prem pani garnae parcha bhanney kura malae thaha thiyena, prem katro jhuto, katro upahas, katro nirrarthakh”

Suyog

This Nepali statement means “I didn’t knew that wife also need to be loved, Love is fake, rediculous, and meaning less”

By the statement, he makes it plain that love and relationships are not things for him to value, and that he even adheres to the old beliefs and conventions imposed by our old concept of society, which does not respect women.

Suyog’s relationship with Sakambari had always been one of antagonism and a smidgeon of hatred, but one day he finds that his animosity has transformed into a deep feeling he didn’t believe in: love. He had begun to love Sakambari, and the sense of being unable to tell Sakambari the truth about his feelings caused him to reflect on some old experiences.

He concedes to himself that he was at one time a creature, that his offenses were things he was unable to change and never felt horrendous about, and that his association with Sakambari was more than essentially physical. Suyog at last admits his warm gestures to Sakambari, yet amidst the disorder kisses her. He is embarrassed and repentant for what he has done, yet he is a weakling for not going up against Sakambari once more. Suyog is left repentant at the novel’s decision, as he at long last sees that his activities can hurt lives in manners he won’t ever envision. Suyog’s eyes are opened by Sakambari’s demise, which uncovers a fact.

Conclusion

Sirish ko Phool is not a book that is easily digested by the general public. Its bitterness may irritate you, yet you will be moved by its humanity. ‘Sirish ko Phool’ has an easy-to-follow poetic symphysis.Suyog, on the other hand, hasn’t changed his mind about women. ‘Sirish ko Phool’ is a tragic parijat work that carries the true feelings and brings the inner soul to life.

In cases of Individuals Section 249 provides it for minimum default of Rs. 1 thousand is necessary to trigger a suit against an Individual or It can be triggered by filing a suit in Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRTs) which would have circuit sittings in all district headquarters. Clause 1A of Section 8 of Recovery of debts due to banks and Financial institutions, Insolvency resolution and bankruptcy of individuals and partnership firms Act 1993 (as amended by section 249 of IBC 2019 amendment Bill) Provides for the power to the central government to establish Debt recovery appellate tribunals which would exercise powers and authority to entertain appeal under Part III of IBC, 2016 And Also to establish Debt recovery tribunals Under clause 1A of section 3 in the same act named above.

OBJECTS AND REASONS OF IBC 2016 There is no single law in India that deals with insolvency and bankruptcy. Provisions relating to insolvency and bankruptcy for companies can be found in the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985, the Recovery of Debt Due to Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 1993, the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 and the Companies Act, 2013. These statutes provide for creation of multiple fora such as Board of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR), Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT) and National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and their respective Appellate Tribunals. Liquidation of companies is handled by the High Courts. Individual bankruptcy and insolvency is dealt with under the Presidency Towns Insolvency Act, 1909, and the Provincial Insolvency Act, 1920 and is dealt with by the Courts. The existing framework for insolvency and bankruptcy is inadequate, ineffective and results in undue delays in resolution, therefore, the proposed legislation. The Code seeks to provide for designating the NCLT and DRT as the Adjudicating Authorities for corporate persons and firms and individuals, respectively, for resolution of insolvency, liquidation and bankruptcy. The Code separates commercial aspects of insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings from judicial aspects.JURISDICTION OF PROVINCIAL INSOLVENCY ACT 1920The scheme of Section 60(2) and (3) is thus clear – the moment there is a proceeding against the corporate debtor pending under the 2016 Code, Any bankruptcy proceeding against the individual personal guarantor will, if already initiated before the proceeding against the corporate debtor, be transferred to the National Company Law Tribunal or, if initiated after such proceedings had been commenced against the corporate debtor, be filed only in the National Company Law Tribunal. However, the Tribunal is to decide such proceedings only in accordance with the Presidency-Towns Insolvency Act, 1909 or the Provincial Insolvency Act, 1920, as the case may be. It is clear that sub-section (4), which states that The Tribunal shall be vested with all the powers of the Debt Recovery Tribunal, as contemplated under Part III of this Code, for the purposes of sub-section (2), would not take effect, As the Debt Recovery Tribunal has not yet been empowered to hear bankruptcy proceedings against individuals under Section 179 of the Code, as the said Section has not yet been brought into force. Also, we have seen that Section 249, dealing with the consequential amendment of the Recovery of Debts Act to empower Debt Recovery Tribunals to try such proceedings, has also not been brought into force. The liability of a guarantor arises as soon as the principal debtor defaults in paying back the loan. It is to be noted that a contract of guarantee focuses upon the breaking of a promise, whereas the IBC focuses upon the existence of a default. Contrary to the proceedings under the IBC which can only be conducted in NCLT, a breach of guarantee contract can be brought into DRT, that too when ‘public money’ is involved. The rights available to a creditor to proceed against the personal guarantor of a corporate debtor are many-fold, i.e. he can either go to DRT solely for the purpose of debt recovery, or he can file insolvency proceedings against the personal debtor. Para 19 in the case of state bank of India Versus Ramakrishna provide:โ€œWe are afraid that such arguments have to be turned down on a careful reading of the Sections relied upon. Section 60 of the Code, in sub-section (1) thereof, refers to insolvency resolution and liquidation for both corporate debtors and personal guarantors, the Adjudicating Authority for which shall be the National Company Law Tribunal, having territorial jurisdiction over the place where the registered office of the corporate person is located. This sub-section is only important in that it locates the Tribunal which has territorial jurisdiction in insolvency resolution processes against corporate debtors. So far as personal guarantors are concerned, we have seen that Part III has not been brought into force, and neither has Section 243, which repeals the Presidency-Towns Insolvency Act, 1909 and the Provincial Insolvency Act, 1920. The net result of this is that so far as individual personal guarantors are concerned, they will continue to be proceeded against under the aforesaid two Insolvency Acts and not under the Code. Indeed, by a Press Release dated 28.08.2017, the Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, cautioned that Section 243 of the Code, which provides for the repeal of said enactments, has not been notified till date, and further, that the provisions relating to insolvency resolution and bankruptcy for individuals and partnerships as contained in Part III of the Code are yet to be notified. Hence, it was advised that stakeholders who intend to pursue their insolvency cases may approach the appropriate authority/court under the existing enactments, instead of approaching the Debt Recovery Tribunals.โ€ATTACHMENT OF DEBTORโ€™S PROPERTYโ€œUnder Section 56 of the Provincial Insolvency Act, 1920, the estate of the insolvent vests in the receiver only for the purpose of its administration and to pay off the debts to the creditors. The receiver acquired no personal interest of his own in the property. The receiver appointed by the court takes possession of the properties in the suit on behalf of the court and administers the property on behalf of the ultimate successful party as an officer of the court and he has no personal interest in the property vested there under.Section 56 of the Provincial Insolvency Act (5 of 1920) empowers the Court at the time of the making of the order of adjudication or thereafter to appoint a receiver for the property of the insolvent and to further provide that “such property shall thereupon vest in such receiver”. The word “vest” employed therein is only for the purpose of the receiver to administer the estate of insolvent for payment of the debts after realizing, and the property of the insolvent vests in the receiver not for all purposes but only for the purpose of the Insolvency Act and the receiver has no interest of his own in the property.
