If only I could hold you again.

Cats never lose the drive to get up and try again, no matter how many times they fall. They have a resilient attitude, and they probably know better than we do that making a few mistakes doesn’t rule out the possibility of reaching the long-term success you desire. There’s a reason they have nine lives.

I had my baby “meow”. I’d love to share my joyous tale about how our youngest family member became a member of our family! Every pet has a unique tale, and our sweet “meow” is no exception. During the winter 2018, in my balcony a cute cat came for the sunlight of course. She had given birth to her baby earlier as well. She used to sleep and sun bath in our balcony. Sometimes she also used to demand for food and I loved to feed her. Few months later she suddenly stopped coming to my house. I kept some chicken where she used to sleep before going to college. But after I came back, I knew that she didn’t come. After 20days she came back to my house and I could see her front limb injured.

Oh God, humans are real monster.

I took her inside the room. She was hungry. I brought cat food for her. It was the day I was satisfied the most.

To feed a needy should not be a novel task instead should be normal as breathing.

Then she regularly to come to our house. During December, she felt so cold that she came to my bed to sleep. Earlier she only came to eat but now, I know she chose me, she loved me. From that day after coming from college she was the first whom I search for. Moreover, my parents and brother too got attached to her. Every time I think of my “meow”, I get a nice feeling in my heart.

Why?

It’s a joy to be with a cat! It appears to be reciprocal. I can’t imagine going a day without my “meow”. Neither do she, nor do I.

Because we’re so intertwined. It’s a mystical phenomenon. It’s difficult to put into words. Beyond the realm of possibility. Beyond the realm of reason.I feel spiritually linked while I’m holding her. She extended out when I begin scratching her backs, indicating that she is enjoying it. This is a good sign that I should keep going. She stared at me with her enigmatic eyes. Her stares were difficult to decipher. She did, however, tell me a lot of stuff. She let a flood of emotions out. From me to them and back again. She didn’t have to be able to communicate. Those small meows are understandable to me. Those sighs, those sighs, those sighs, those Even those inconspicuous smiles. And it’s all due of our exceptional friendship. She added happiness to our family.

When I got my first job, she was my stress relief therapy. She begin to fuse her body with mine the moment I touch her, warning me not to let go. When I played with her, the deep joy she brought me is unrivaled. Cats may not be as energetic as dogs, yet their gentleness warms my heart. She could be distant at times. Her snobbish demeanor amused me. Especially when she asked for something and I refused to give it to her. I return the stare. “No,” I tell her. Nonetheless, her gaze was drawn to my soul. It’s impossible to say “no” for an extended period of time. She was aware when I was not feeling well. She took a seat next to me. She kept her distance from me and remain silent. Cats are attempting to cure the sickness. They are caregivers and sharers.

Worst day of my life

After that, there was the dreadful month of 2020. My most cherished children died in lockdown of the year 2020. I was heartbroken. My sadness was palpable. It was unprocessed. It was excruciating.

If only I could hold you again.

If only I could hold you again.

I began to doubt the concept of kindness and life’s fairness. What makes the cosmos so cruel?

How can humans cope with sadness that strikes unexpectedly? Is it possible that our lives will never be the same?

Is it possible to heal from the overwhelming sentiments of sadness and reclaim the joyful feelings of unconditional love?

How is it possible that the source of my delight is now the source of my grief?

How is it possible that the reason for my existence has now become the cause of my extinction?

You could think I’m exaggerating. It’s just a cat, a pet, a living creature. You can always swap out one for another.

But believe me when I say that’s easier said than done. Having a pet is like having a small human for those of us who are animal lovers and live alone. Many individuals will be perplexed by this. It could be difficult to grasp. It’s difficult to accept. But, in many cases, our animals can take the place of humans for comfort and reassurance. But, hey, that’s life. The circle of life progresses in this manner. It just goes on and on. It is up to us to accept the situation and go on. We must release at some point. To relinquish control. Otherwise, we may become engrossed in the pain of loss.

Although the path to recovery is difficult, there is no other way to avoid it. After that dreadful loss, I even promised myself that I would never get another cat. I found myself hugging two fur babies again four months later. They’ve been my medicine as I’ve worked my way back to full health.

I’ve returned to my former self. Someone who enjoys nuzzling cats. That individual who enjoys spending time with cats. That individual who considers cats to be members of their family. That’s how the circle of life works, I just understood. Some of us lose, while others gain. We love and we injure each other. We experience discomfort, but we eventually find relief.I came to the realization that I needed to accept life as it is.

Unique Barriers to Communication

Even after taking care of every other detail, some differences arise. So, to reduce these differences, we have to understand the most common barriers to effective communication.

The method of communication has multiple difficulties. The expected MESSAGE will often be disturbed and twisted leading to a form of difference and collapse of communication. The barriers to effective communication can be of many types.

The communication limits may prevent communication or carry wrong meaning due to which confusion may be created. Hence, it is essential for a supervisor to identify such boundaries and take suitable measures to overcome them. The unique barriers to communication in organizations can be:

1. Physical Barriers to Communication

They are the most prominent barriers to efficient communication. These barriers are mostly easily removable in principle at least. They include barriers like noise, closed doors, faulty equipment used for communication, closed cabins, etc. Sometimes, in a large office, the physical separation between various employees combined with faulty equipment may result in severe barriers to effective communication.
Learn more about Interpersonal Skills and Emotional Intelligence here in detail.

2. Cultural Barriers of Communication

As the world is getting more and more globalized, any big office may have people from various parts of the world. Various cultures have different meanings for several fundamental values of society. Dressing, Religions or lack of them, food, drinks, pets, and the general behaviour will change drastically from one culture to another.
Hence it is a must that we must take these different cultures into account while communicating. This is what we call being culturally appropriate. In many multinational companies, special courses are offered at the orientation stages that let people know about other cultures and how to be courteous and tolerant of others.

3. Organisational Structure Barriers

As we saw there are many systems of communication at an organizational level. Each of these systems has its own problems and constraints that may become barriers to effective communication. Most of these barriers arise because of misinformation or a lack of relevant transparency available to the employees.

4. Attitude Barriers

Some people like to be left alone. They are introverts or just people who are not very social. Others like to be social. Both these cases could become a barrier to communication. Some people have attitude issues, like huge egos and inconsiderate behaviours.

These employees can cause severe tensions in the communication channels that they are present in. Certain personality traits like nervousness, agitation, social anxiety may be removable through courses and proper training. However, problems like egocentric behaviour and self-indulgence may not be correctable.

5. Perception Barriers

Different people perceive the same things differently. This is a fact which we must consider during the communication process. Knowledge of the perception levels of the audience is crucial to effective communication. All the messages or communique must be easy and clear. There shouldn’t be any room for a diversified interpretational set.

6. Physiological Barriers

Certain disorders or diseases or other limitations could also prevent effective communication between the various channels of an organization. The shrillness of voice, dyslexia, etc are some examples of physiological barriers to effective communication. However, these are not crucial because they can easily be compensated and removed.

7. Technological Barriers

Other barriers include technological barriers. The technology is developing fast and as a result, it becomes difficult to keep up with the freshest developments. Hence sometimes the technological advance may become a barrier. In addition to this, the cost of technology is sometimes very high.

Most organizations will not be able to afford a decent tech for the purpose of communication. Hence, this becomes a very crucial barrier. Other barriers are socio-religious barriers. In a patriarchal society, a woman or a transgender may face many difficulties and barriers while communicating.

Common Barriers to Communication

Even after taking care of every other detail, some differences arise. So, to reduce these differences, we have to understand the most common barriers to effective communication.

The method of communication has multiple difficulties. The expected MESSAGE will often be disturbed and twisted leading to a form of difference and collapse of communication. The barriers to effective communication can be of many types.

The communication limits may prevent communication or carry false meaning due to which confusions may be created. Therefore, a supervisor needs to identify such boundaries and take suitable measures to overcome them. The barriers to communication in organizations can be:

1. SEMANTIC Barriers

These are concerned with the obstacles and difficulties in the process of encoding and decoding a message into words or impressions. Usually, such barriers happen due to the use of improper words, erroneous translations, varying interpretations, etc.

For example, a manager has to communicate with workers who have no knowledge of English and on the other side, he is not well conversed with Hindi. Here, language is a barrier to communication as the manager may not be able to communicate properly with the workers.

2. Psychological Barriers

Emotional or psychological factors also play as barriers to communication. The state of mind of both the sender and receiver of communication indicates ineffective communication. A troubled person cannot communicate properly and an irritated recipient cannot understand the message properly.

Thus, at the time of communication, both the sender and the receiver need to be psychologically sound. Also, they should trust each other. If they do not believe each other, they cannot understand each other’s message in its original sense.

Some people have stage fear, speech disorders, phobia, depression etc. All of these conditions are very difficult to manage sometimes and will most certainly limit the ease of communication.

3. Organizational Barriers

The factors related to organizational structure, rules and regulations authority relationships, etc. may sometimes act as barriers to effective communication. In an organization with a highly centralized pattern, people may not be encouraged to have free communication. Also, rigid rules and regulations and cumbersome procedures may become a hurdle to communication.

4. Personal Barriers

The personal factors of both sender and receiver may act as a barrier to effective communication. If a superior thinks that a particular communication may adversely affect his authority, he may suppress such communication.
Also, if the superiors do not have confidence in the competency of their subordinates, they may not ask for their advice. The subordinates may not be willing to offer useful suggestions in the absence of any reward or appreciation for a good suggestion.

5. Linguistic Barriers

The language barrier is one of the main barriers that limit effective communication. Language is the most commonly employed tool of communication. The fact that each major region has its own language is one of the Barriers to effective communication. Sometimes even a thick dialect may render the communication ineffective.
As per some estimates, the dialects of every two regions change within a few kilometers. Even in the same workplace, different employees will have different linguistic skills. As a result, the communication channels that span across the organization would be affected by this.
Thus keeping this barrier in mind, different considerations have to be made for different employees. Some of them are very proficient in a certain language and others will be ok with these languages.

6. Emotional Barriers

The emotional IQ of a person determines the ease and comfort with which they can communicate. An emotionally mature person will be able to communicate effectively. On the other hand, people who let their emotions take over will face certain difficulties.
A perfect mixture of emotions and facts is necessary for effective communication. Emotions like anger, frustration, humour, can blur the decision-making capacities of a person and thus limit the effectiveness of their communication.

Best 5 Reasons why Soft Skills are essential

What are Soft Skills?

Soft Skills are close to personal credits that impact how well you can function or cooperate with others. These abilities make it simpler to shape associations with individuals, make trust and constancy, and lead groups.

Then again, an absence of soft skills can restrict your latent capacity, or even be the destruction of your business. By creating solid authority, assignment, cooperation, and correspondence capacities, you can run projects all the more easily, convey results that please everybody, and even decidedly impact your own life by further developing how you communicate with others.

Here are some examples that show why are soft skills essential for everybody:

  1.  Soft skills are in high demand by recruiters

These skills are in high demand in the workforce. According to the 2017 paper by a Harvard student on the essential of social skills in the labour market, jobs requiring high levels of social interaction increased by around 12 percent as a share of the U.S. labour force.

in-demand soft skills (according to the LinkedIn research):

  • Communication
  • Organisation
  • Teamwork
  • Critical thinking
  • Social skills
  • Creativity
  • Interpersonal communication
  • Adaptability

2. The future will rely on soft skills

Advances in innovation have caused undertakings that require hard abilities to decay, making delicate abilities a vital differentiation in the working environment. As the expense of robots diminishes and the exhibition of man-made consciousness improves, occupations, for example, producing line laborers, will get computerized. Customary abilities like cooperation, correspondence and basic reasoning will be a higher priority than at any other time.

3. Maintain relationships

Soft Skills not just help your connections in the working environment, they decide your prosperity working with customers and colleagues. Managers search out representatives they can trust to address the organization in an expert and agreeable manner.

4. Facilitate growth

Most soft skills add your capacity to utilize your current abilities well and as well as to create and develop those abilities reliably over the long run. The capacity to acknowledge and carry out input is a delicate expertise that numerous individuals battle with. Businesses likewise need to employ individuals who react to analysis from others as well as reliably search for approaches to improve without being inquired.

5. Customers and clients demand soft skills

Purchasers these days have countless options of where to purchase from, purchased about by the web and cell phones. For these shoppers, accommodation and low costs are not difficult to get a hold of, so client care is frequently what impacts the decision to utilize a specific business.

The ability to communicate at a human level with customers is therefore a vital factor in an organisation’s success.

Lead Acid Battery

Introduction:

The storage battery or secondary battery is such a battery where electrical energy can be stored as chemical energy and this chemical energy is then converted to electrical energy as and when required. The conversion of electrical energy into chemical energy by applying external electrical source is known as charging of battery. Whereas conversion of chemical energy into electrical energy for supplying the external load is known as discharging of secondary battery. The battery which uses lead and lead peroxide for the conversion of the chemical energy into electrical power, this type of battery is called a lead acid battery. The lead acid battery is most commonly used in the power stations and substations because it has higher cell voltage and lower cost. Efficiency of Lead Acid Battery is 50-95%.

Construction of Lead Acid Battery:

The Lead Acid Battery is made up of different parts:

Labelled Diagram of Lead Acid Battery
  • Container– The container of the lead acid battery is made of glass, lead lined wood, ebonite, the hard rubber of bituminous compound, ceramic materials or moulded plastics and are seated at the top to avoid the discharge of electrolyte. At the bottom of the container, there are four ribs, on two of them rest the positive plate and the others support the negative plates. The material of which the battery containers are made should be resistant to sulfuric acid, should not deform or porous, or contain impurities which damage the electrolyte.
  • Plates– The plate of the lead-acid cell is made up of lead and active material. they all form some type of grid, it is essential for conducting the electric current and for distributing the current equally on the active material. The grids are made up of an alloy of lead and antimony. The plates of the battery are of two types. They are the formed plates or plante plates and pasted or faure plates.
  • Active Material– The material in a cell which takes active participation in a chemical reaction (i.e. absorption of electrical energy) during charging or discharging is called the active material of the cell. The active elements of the lead acid are:
    • Lead peroxide (PbO2) – It forms the positive active material. The PbO2 are dark chocolate broom in colour.
    • Lead – Its form the negative active material. It is grey in colour.
    • Dilute Sulfuric Acid (H2SO4– It is used as an electrolyte. It contains 31% of sulfuric acid.
  • Separators– The separators are thin sheets of non-conducting material made up of chemically treated leadwood, porous rubbers, or mats of glass fibre and are placed between the positive and negative to insulate them from each other.
  • Battery Terminals– A battery has two terminals the positive and the negative.

Working of Lead Acid Battery:

During charging of battery, current is passed through it which causes some chemical changes inside the battery. This chemical changes absorb energy during their formation. When the battery is connected to the external load, the chemical changes take place in reverse direction, during which the absorbed energy is released as electrical energy and supplied to the load.

The lead acid storage battery is formed by dipping lead peroxide plate and sponge lead plate in dilute sulfuric acid. A load is connected externally between these plates. In diluted sulfuric acid the molecules of the acid split into positive hydrogen ions (H+) and negative sulfate ions (SO4 2-). The hydrogen ions when reach at PbO2 plate, they receive electrons from it and become hydrogen atom which again attack PbO2 and form PbO and H2O (water). This PbO reacts with H2 SO4 and forms PbSO4 and H2O (water).

SO4 2- ions are moving freely in the solution so when they will reach to pure Pb plate where they give their extra electrons and become radical SO4. As the radical SO4 cannot exist alone it will attack Pb and will form PbSO4. As H+ ions take electrons from PbO2 plate and SO4 2- ions give electrons to Pb plate, there would be an inequality of electrons between these two plates. Hence there would be a flow of current through the external load between these plates for balancing this inequality of electrons. This process is called discharging of lead acid battery. During discharging,

  • Both of the plates are covered with PbSO4.
  • Specific gravity of sulfuric acid solution falls due to formation of water during reaction at PbO2 plate.
  • As a result, the rate of reaction falls which implies potential difference between the plates decreases during discharging process.

Now, when we connect an external DC source to the termial, Hydrogen ions (cation) being positively charged, move to the electrode (cathode) connected with negative terminal of the DC source. Here each H+ ion takes one electron from that and becomes hydrogen atom. These hydrogen atoms then attack PbSO4 and form lead and sulfuric acid.

SO42- ions (anions) move towards the electrode (anode) connected with positive terminal of DC source where they will give up their extra electrons and become radical SO4. This radical SO4 cannot exist alone hence reacts with PbSO4 of anode and forms lead peroxide (PbO2) and sulfuric acid (H2SO4). So, during charging,

  • Lead sulfate anode gets converted into lead peroxide.
  • Lead sulfate of cathode is converted to pure lead.
  • Terminal potential of the cell increases.

Amazing Animal Friendships

Sea Urchins & Crabs

Crabs carry sea urchins on their backs. The sea urchins are sometimes poisonous and hence provide both protection and because the sea urchins are above the crab, the crab is perfectly secured from the predators. In return, sea urchins get free rides underwater.

India gets a BAFTA nomination!!!

Films play a huge role in our life, and especially during these times where we cannot go outside to travel with our friends and family to the places that we want to go or had the plans to go. That’s when films and TV shows helped us to go through our lockdowns and be sane in this pandemic. There were many films released this year and brought to us via digital platforms. One such film that we are waiting for it to release in India is “SHEER QORMA”.

Sheer Qorma an upcoming Indian short film Drama LGBT romance written and directed by Faraz Arif Ansari and produced by Marijke de Souza. It is produced by Futterwacken Films. Starring Shabana Azmi, Divya Dutta and Swara Bhaskar, the film revolves around a woman and a non-binary person (played by Dutta and Swara Bhaskar) in love with each other.

Sheer Qorma has won Best Short Film Audience Award at the Frameline Fest and has also qualified for the BAFTA this year. The Faraz Arif Ansari directorial was screened at the Frameline Fest as part of the Enby Love shorts program. The film also recently won the Best Short Film, Audience award at the 34th Connecticut LGBT Festival.

Sheer Qorma is a romantic drama that showcases how love is judged in society based on gender and how people have preconceived notions about sexuality. It has Swara playing the role of a Pakistani-Canadian citizen who travels to India with her lover (Divya Dutta). But Dutta’s mother, played by Shabana Azmi, finds it difficult to come to terms with her daughter’s choices.

Speaking about the film in an earlier statement, Ansari had shared, “The character that Shabana ji essays in Sheer Qorma is going to not only resonate with mothers all across the world but will also open a much needed dialogue about parenthood, and with not just parents of queer children but a more universal dialogue that I hope will bring a lot of love back in our universe. Shabana ji’s character in Sheer Qorma is the mother we all deserve.”

Sheer Qorma has travelled to several film festivals but is yet to release in India.

Expectation

” The two way to be happy : improve

your reality or lower your expectation. “

Expectation. The real killer of our happiness is our expectation. What does an expectation mean we all know but why do we expect? Is it worthy? Do we get something more by expecting?

I think a person is solely responsible for their happiness. And you give that responsibility to another person when you expect from someone. Many people will now get frustate and say, “what rubbish are you saying? Expecting from someone we love or from someone we are attached to is not wrong.” Yes, of course it’s not wrong but it’s the enemy. Enemy of our happiness, our smile if they remain unmet. You don’t need to end up your all expectation. No. You just need to set a limit for then beyond which you can’t expect at any cost as if you did so, you are opening up a way for lots of disappointments. You often believe that like the way you have treated others, you will also get the same treatment in return. Here, the life plays it’s game and gives you a surprise with a very different behaviour. Either it will met you expectation or will go beyond your expectation, can ne very good or very bad.

See, if you have thought in advance that yes I’ll not get the same thing back, it can be good or bad, then congratulations buddy, you have prepared yourself for whatever the result would be. Nothing can disappoint or harm you then. If you don’t have expectations, you can never be disappointed.

” Expectation is the root of all heartache. “

                                                        –Shakespeare

Keeping too much expectation can destroy a relation too. Look, if you have high expectation from someone and if they fail to fulfil them, then what would be the result. Of course misunderstandings. And those misunderstandings are enough to break that relation.

” We can’t expect others to change –

the only thing we can depend on successfully

changing out attitude towards them. “

Other people are not aware of what you are expecting from them and when those expectations remain unmet, we get upset that the person is not like what we have expected. How would he be? Did the person is aware of what you are expecting from him? The answer is no. It’s not the mistake of that person, it’s the fault of yours.

We don’t only expect from other humans, we also expect from our life, situations, etc. Life is not fair with anyone. Every person has a breakdown in their life at some point of their life. Reason for that can be anything. At that point many  people ask from their life, why me? Dear, you need to accept the fact that life is not fair with anyone and it’s not necessary that it will be fair with you all the time. It will check you over and over again. Rather than questioning you need to learn and fight.

Keeping high expectation either from life or from any person will always hurt you, disappoint you. So, if you want to live fearless and happy, just limit your expectations as much as you can and from everyone no matter how much you love them. The people we love the most can also turn into the person who can hurt us the most. Enjoy things while they last. Be okay when they break. Living without or little expectation requires accepting the worst and aiming for the best.

Stock Exchange

What is Stock Exchange?

A stock exchange also called as securities exchange (for example, NYSE, BSE, NASDAQ, etc), is a facility where stockbrokers and traders can buy and sell securities, such as shares of stock and bonds and other financial instruments. Stock exchanges may also provide facilities for the issue and redemption of such securities and instruments and capital events including the payment of income and dividends. Securities traded on a stock exchange include stock issued by listed companies, unit trusts, derivatives, investment products and bonds.

Stock exchanges often function as “continuous auction” markets with buyers and sellers performing transactions via open outcry at a central location such as the floor of the exchange or by using an electronic trading platform (such as Zerodha, Upstox, Groww, etc) . To be able to trade a security on a certain stock exchange, the security or shares of that particular company must be listed on that stock exchange. Usually, there is a central location at least for record keeping, but trade is increasingly less linked to a physical place, as modern markets use electronic communication networks, which give them advantages of increased speed and reduced cost of transactions. There is usually no obligation for stock to be issued through the stock exchange itself, nor must stock be subsequently traded on an exchange. Such trading may be off exchange or over the counter. This is the usual way that derivatives and bonds are traded. Increasingly, stock exchanges are part of a global securities market.

How does a Stock Exchange Functions?

Stock markets are a bridge between the companies and the potential buyers. This can also be termed as a professional relation between a seller and a buyer. Giants list their stocks on the stock exchange thus allowing the market
buyers to invest in them with a probability of very lower risk in the purchase.

The purpose here is to raise money which can be further invested into the growth of their firms. That supply and demand help determine the price for each security, or the levels at which stock market participants — investors and traders are willing to buy or sell. Computer algorithms generally do most of those calculations. The stock purchase and selling these days works completely online and is a faster way of performing the tasks. There was a time in history when the trading used to go offline, and window purchase was the trend of the time.

What are benefits of Stock Exchange?

The few benefits of stock exhanges and how it alters or affects countries market scenario are as follows:

  • Increased Evaluations – People tend to prefer the companies listed on the stock markets for their investments and returns.
  • Deeper Profile Impact – Companies listed on the stock exchange have higher recognition than the privately held companies, which makes it the safer ground to play.
  • Easy Access to Worthy Capitals – Companies listed here are more prone to being invested into. They can get access to a larger crowd if they want the shareholders to buy stakes.
  • High Returns on Investment – This is an unarguable point for every investor. The game of investment is vested into larger returns.
  • Enhances the brand value – The companies work, day and night for the market recognition. The stock exchanges provide them with the opportunity to get to the people.
  • Lower risk on Cost Capital – Companies listed on exchange have a lower credit risk that helps the banks to provide for capitals on their name. Privately held companies are at a greater risk of diverging capitals.

Bombay Stock Exchange

The BSE, formerly known as the Bombay Stock Exchange Ltd. is an Indian stock exchange located at Dalal Street, Mumbai. As India’s largest exchange provider – and having a market capitalization of $218,730 billion – it is 9th largest stock exchanges in the world. The exchange also offers trading in equities, ETFs, mutual funds, fixed income
as well as currency and commodity derivatives.

DOWRY-AN EVIL PRACTICE

DOWRY SYSTEM

The dowry system refers to the durable goods, cash, and real or movable property that the bride’s family gives to the groom, his parents and his relatives as a condition of the marriage.

Dowry system was introduced in England in the 12th century by the Normans. Earlier to this there was another kind of practice where husband gave some kind of morning gift to his wife. Dowry was generally given at the wedding by the husband at the church door in front of all present public. In India, it has it’s roots in the medieval times when a gift in cash or kind was given to a bride by her father to maintain her independence after her marriage. During colonial period, it became the only legal way to get married, with the British making the practice of dowry mandatory.

Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961

Dowry Prohibition Act, enacted on May 1, 1961, states to prevent the giving and receiving of a dowry. Under the Dowry Prohibition Act, dowry includes property, goods or money given by either party to the marriage, by the parents of either party or by anyone else in connection with the marriage. This act was passed to put an end to the receiving and giving of an evil practice.

Dowry cases in India

India has the highest number of dowry related deaths in the world according to India National Crime Record Bureau. In 2012, 8,233 dowry death cases were reported across India. This means a bride was burned every 90 minutes, or dowry case issues cause 1.4 deaths per year per 100,000 women in India. Number of reported dowry death cases in India 2005-2019 – In 2019,reported dowry death cases in India amounted to more than 7.1 thousand. This was a gradual decrease from the 2014, in which this was approximately 8.5 thousand. According to World Bank Blog in India the highest dowry system practice is in Kerala. Since 1970 Kerala exhibits stark and persistent dowry inflation and had the highest average dowry in recent years, similar inflationary trends are seen across Haryana, Punjab and Gujarat.

Bad Effects of Dowry

  • Dowry leads to harassing a women.
  • Women are ill-treated, disrespected, tortured and are subjected to sorts of cruelties in the name of dowry.
  • Women are killed or murdered.
  • Women are abused.
  • Dowries maintain gender inequality.
  • Dowries keep women from economic independence.
  • Dowries trap poor people in debt.
  • Dowries discriminate against the disabled.

Dowry is a social evil in the society, that has caused unimaginable tortures and crimes towards women. The evil has taken lives of many women from all types of society be it poor, middle class or the rich. However it is the poor who succumb and fall prey to it, more due to their lack of awareness and education.

Causes of dowry system in India

  • Greed – The expectation that a dowry will be given at the time of the bride and groom’s engagement is to compensate for the groom’s education, career, and wealth. The bride’s education, career and wealth are completely disregarded, as she is not given equal societal status to a man.
  • Lack of education – The bride’s family, unaware and un-knowledgeable of the laws, face outrageous financial ultimatums, which when not met, lead to mistreatment of their daughters.

Important Steps to eradicate dowry

  • Educate your daughters.
  • Encourage them to have their own career.
  • Teach them to be independent and responsible.
  • Treat them equally without any discrimination.
  • Do not encourage the practice of giving or taking dowry.

Urbanisation

Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing good and are safe. I am here to throw some light upon the topic Urbanisation.
Urbanisation is one of the most important cause of population explosion. Generally each and everyone of us want a better standard of living than what we are having now. We all plan for having a good life always. In order to get a good and desired standard of living we need to work hard for it. People struggle for getting good job opportunities now a days as most companies don’t have their preferred vacancies.
Finding good job opportunities to have a better lifestyle is not a problem but in order to make it happen people from all the rural areas migrate to urban areas and that is what we call urbanisation. There are many causes and effects of urbanisation. The causes include the people who are in search of good jobs to lead a proper life but there are some very harmful consequences because of that. Firstly, urban areas are running out of space for people to occupy it and start to lead a life there. Second thing even if they find a place to leave there is a shortage of all the basis necessities. There are atleast four needs that one should have that is food, shelter, good air and clothes to wear.
Now because of the increasing population in urban areas there is an increase in the demand for shelter and because of which trees are been cut in order to establish settlements there for people to reside which leads to exploitation of natural resources. Other than shelter, food is a necessity. Increasing number of people increases the demand for food as well and which is why farmers while yielding crops can’t make it happen naturally. It is hard for them to harvest an increased amount of crops in a shorter time as the demand rises. Due to all these reasons farmers tend to apply a huge amount of chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides to get the crops in a shorter time which results in soil erosion. This harms the land so much that it is not possible for farmers to yield crops on that land again. All this leads to scarcity of cultivable land.
People start residing in slums by building those near good and developed areas as they can’t find place to stay. Many of us don’t even have that much amount of money in order to pay huge rent and stay in an apartment. It is just not affordable. People start to use lakes and dams as their means of consumption. This also results in contamination of water which means water pollution. As the population in urban areas increases there is an increase in the number of private vehicles which results in air pollution and can cause many diseases such as asthma etc.
We should avoid wasting resources as its not just ours, we need to provide it to further generations too. We need to start sustainable development and love according to it in order to give humans a better life in present and in future too. It is understandable that a better standard of living is essential now a days but if it brings so many consequences then it will do no good to us in future. Though doing all this will give us a good living but it will just be temporary and can cause harsh consequences. Lets get together in order to save our environment and take good care of it.
Thank you!

Muna Madan Book Review

Introduction

Scarcely any individuals haven’t knew about Devkota’s most popular creation, the Muna Madan. This short epic about Muna and Madan is notable in Nepali, however its English interpretation is similarly notable. Madan, a helpless rancher, chooses to go to Tibet as a vendor to get cash, leaving behind his old mother and love bird spouse, Muna. Muna beseeches her husband to stay, however Madan withdraws with expectations of aggregating abundance for the family. The sonnet is a deplorable portrayal of the challenges Muna and Madan experience while they hold on to rejoin with one another. Muna Madan, while being a short epic, has become a business achievement and is viewed as an exemplary in Nepali writing.

About Book

Muna-Madan recounts the account of each Nepali family whose male person fantasies about acquiring sufficient cash to meet the family’s necessities and wants by leaving for a far off country. Madan, the hero of this jhyaure society meter story, chooses to take a shot in Lhasa, however he neglects to get back on schedule, bringing about a family misfortune.

About Laxmi Prasad Devkota

Maha kavi Laxmi Prasad Devkota (1909-1959) was one of Nepal’s most renowned writers. He composed sagas like Shakuntala and Sulochana, just as various enormous account sonnets like Muna-Madan, Maina, Mayavini Sarsi, and others. Notwithstanding verse, he composed self-portraying papers, which were assembled in Laxmi Nibandba Sangraha and Dadimko Rukhanera. Also, he has wrote a few plays, the vast majority of which are beautiful, just as one-act plays and a novel named Champa. The title Laxmi Katha Sangraha was given to an assortment of his short stories. He set up the act of writing in English first and afterward making an interpretation of Nepali works into English.

Story

Muna Madan is a people epic written in a melodious version in 1935 by Nepalese writer Laxmi Prasad Devkota that tells the heartbreaking account of Muna and Madan. It is one of Nepali writing’s most notable works. “It would be okay if every one of my works were singed, save for Muna Madan,” Devkota broadly said not long before his passing in 1959. It is the best Nepali book at any point created as far as deals. It’s anything but’s a customary Jhaurey song. The story follows a man (Madan) who leaves his significant other (Muna) and goes to Lhasa to bring in cash. Madan is a delegate of all Nepalese young people who move abroad to get by.

Muna, Madan’s wife, is the queen of love and sacrifice. She adores her Madan and is heartbroken that she must send him to Lahsa, a land filled with dangers and hardships. But, in the end, she embraces the challenge and stays in the country with her elderly and frail mother-in-law.Madan falls ill on the way back to his house. His buddies abandon him on the route and return home to inform him that he has died. Finally, he is rescued by a Nepalese man who belongs to a lower caste. That is why a man is said to be wonderful not because of his caste or race, but because of his heart, which is full of love and humanity.

Madan comes to Kathmandu after regaining his health to find that his mother and beloved wife have passed away. Madan eventually realizes that money has no meaning at that time. The story also depicts the lives of a poor widow who went through a lot without her spouse and eventually died of despair. Devkota has written on the most pressing issues confronting Nepalese society at the time in this poem.Laxmi Prasad Devkota wishes to stabilize the truths of traditional societies, unscientific ideas, and the detrimental effects of unemployment and poverty in Nepalese society via the story of Muna and Madan. By writing about Muna and Madan’s relationship, the poet has beautifully characterized love.

The work has proven to be a significant contribution to Nepalese literature. This is a must-read work in Nepali literature, in my opinion.

COVID-19

SECOND WAVE CAN ENFEEBLE INDIAN ECONOMY

It has been more than one and half year since the COVID-19 pandemic made the way for the great core of human progress and made us to understand the power of mother nature. To understand impact of the second wave on Indian economy, let’s remember the first wave and also its impact on the Indian economy. The first wave of covid-19 gave us the phrase where the nation went into lockdown for a long period with the less numbers of peak cases. But the lockdown continued. After reporting the very  first case in late January 2020 in the state of Kerala, India introduced rigorous effect of coronavirus (COVID-19). The following weeks saw a quick progression of covid leading to a suspension of all travel in and out of the country by March 22 that year. While infections proceed to increase during this period, We were now quarantined  to our homes to lower the spread of the virus. Economists slit the GDP rates for the anticipatable future due to the crystal clear impact of the lockdown. Unsurprisingly, the most touched industries i.e. services and manufacturing, precisely travel & tourism, financial services, with sinking rates of up to 23% between April and June 2020. In the direction of the end of 2020, however, India saw some appearance of healing of certain sectors. The pandemic came with inconstancy and hint on all aspects of business across the world.  For small businesses, however, it depended on how long they could ride out the storm. And this pandemic changed scenario and the daily lifestyles drastically. Economic activity began to take a hit again in March 2021, and it resulted the country to face the second wave of the pandemic. On May 31, Government of India announced the facts for GDP for the financial year 2020-21, GDP shrink by 7.3%. It can be considered as the most severe contraction from the time of independence till now. As the outcome, GDP forecasts were envisioned to fall, lays losses at over 38 billion U.S. dollars if lockdown resume till June 2021.

IMPACT OF SECOND WAVE SECTOR WISE

MANUFACTURING SECTOR

Manufacturing was the sector which underwent through the first as well as the second wave. To lower down the spread of coronavirus, many manufacturing sectors went for working at lesser capacity or made them to shut down completely. Manufacturing sector with non-essential facilities was also tremble for long time and with more strict restrictions. The fear of the continuing of the lockdown made migration back to their villages.

AGRICULTURE SECTOR

Strict rules and long period of lockdown has been seen in many rural parts of the nation. The Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) Mandis seen to be closed for all the functions or have taken steps according to their situation. Specially, Mandis in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Maharashtra were seen to be closed during peak of harvesting.

SERVICE SECTOR

From the last 20 years services sector has been the backbone of the Indian economy contributing to more than half of the GDP. The first wave of covid-19 made a straight line required for an organization to development of infrastructure and processes for remote working. For the employees, first lockdown made them to work within the four wall which took time for them to get to work from home and be productive. But the second wave disturbed this pattern again.

The Gut & Brain Relationship

Recent studies show how gut health affects the brain and vice-versa. This relationship between the gut and brain is called the gut-brain axis.

As we all know that brain has specialized cells called neurons, these neurons are responsible for various biological processes in the human body. There are numerous neurons found in the human gut. One of the largest nerves in the human body called the vagus-nerve connects our brain to the gut and gut to the brain.

A study proved that how stress induces gastrointestinal problems. Also, the gut is responsible for producing short-chain fatty acids that affect the brain by reducing the urge of eating. Butyrate that is a form of short-chain fatty acids is responsible for the blood-brain barrier. Also, the gut produces amino acids and bile that affects the brain.

Like the brain, the gut also produced neurotransmitters such as serotonin and gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA). Serotonin contributes to the feeling of happiness and GABA controls emotions like fear and anxiety.

Putting it in a nutshell, the health of the gut affects the health of the brain. Research is going on in the manufacturing of probiotics (probiotics are live edible bacteria that are taken for a healthy gut) that affects both the gut and the brain and such probiotics are called psychobiotics.

Mental Health and Lockdown

Lockdown has affected a lot of lives in various different ways. The situation has worsened than before. During this pandemic period, everyone irrespective of their financial standards is facing a crisis in their daily life. People are majorly focusing on the financial problems that people are facing nowadays. But who’ll stand for the people who are suffering from mental illness? Society must understand that along with physical health and personal economy, mental health is also a vital part of life. Lockdown was for the people to stay healthy. But is it really working? Because even if people seems to be physically fine they are not necessarily present at a good emotional state.

Mental Wellness and How to Improve It - Domus Retreat®

How did lockdown affected people’s emotional well being?

The country faced huge economic decrement in this pandemic. Due to lockdown, most of the local businesses were kept close. Many companies were shut down due to less financial support. As a result of this, huge population of was unemployed. Even the newbies faced difficulties in finding jobs. We cannot deny that unemployment is a primary reason for the rise of mental illness during the lockdown.

As people had to stay home for a very long time, they could not get fresh air. Because people stayed home for a very long time it affected people’s mind. People started having mood swings. Domestic fights have increased and as a result, environment at home gets polluted. As a result of all this, people went into depression. Number of suicide attempts have increased than before. People who were under depts chose the option to end their lives so as to get rid of problems. Lack of physical activity resulted in other health problems.

Why is mental health important?

Before we understand the importance of emotional well being let us have a sneek peek at its importance. To stay emotionally fit, it is of high importance that society should know its significance. Here are a few reasons that shows how vital it is to be mentally healthy.

Mental health in association with physical health

Physical and emotional health goes hand in hand. If you are not happy, if you are in a lot of stress you’ll might face some physical health issues. For instance, if you take a lot of tension, your BP might shoot. You will have headache and many other physical problems.

Life risks

Mental sickness leads to some life threatening acts. If left untreated, the person will go into depression and might take some dangerous decisions. An emotionally unhealthy person is not only a threat for himself but also for the people he is in regular touch.

Social problems

People who suffer from emotional trauma might isolate themselves sometimes. They can start drugs consumption. Violence, verbal abuse all these results in weak social relationship of those people.

Exercises to improve mental stability

Promote Mental Health by Communicating Benefits, Leading by Example

One can increase their mental stability with the help of extremely basic activities. No need of external help. Say no to medicines, psychiatrist, or any external counsellor. Follow these basic steps that are mentioned below and have a healthy mind.

  1. Discuss issues with loved ones. It is very important to open yourself in front of people. The more you keep things in your heart the more they affect you.
  2. Do meditation regularly. Meditation reduces anxiety and stress.
  3. Maintain a diary. You should write your daily activities in your diary. This will help you understand how productive your day was.
  4. Instead of thinking about the negativity in your life, focus on all positive things that occurs.
  5. Spend time with your loved ones. Play games and other indoor physical activities that will reduce stress.
  6. Go for walks in your building complex and communicate more and more with people.

Lockdown has been a difficult phase in everyone’s life. Whether it be rich or poor, young or kids, employed or unemployed, everyone faced difficulties. As a part of the society it is our duty to help people in every possible way. We need to understand that our physical health is of no use if we do not have a good mental health. Countries throughout the world are facing these issues. We should understand that all this is temporarily and things will be good.

“Tragedy King” bids adieu at 98

Mohammed Yusuf Khan aka Dilip Kumar left us today morning for his humble abode at the age of 98, due to his age-related illness. As he left us today many stars all over the country are paying respects to him through social media and expressing how he was an institution in himself and how he helped them and will help them to act in every phase of their life.

Dilip Sahab was or, say is indeed an institution in himself when it comes to films. He started his career in 1944 with a film called Jwar Bhatta which went unnoticed. After a few more unsuccessful movies, he got his break from Jugnu(1947) in which he starred alongside Noor Jehan, which became his first major hit at the box office. His next major hits were the 1948 films, Shaheed and Mela.

He got his breakthrough role in 1949 with Mehboob Khan’s Andaz, in which he starred alongside Raj Kapoor and Nargis. Shabnam also released that year was another box office hit.

The 1950s were the breakthrough years for Kumar’s career with movies like Devdas (1955), where he established himself as the actor who can portray such a complex character with so much love and can feel the pain of the character just by reading the script of the movie. Dilip Sahab had the quality of making his audience feel the pain, laughter and love just through his acting and his eye

Kumar with actors Raj Kapoor & Nargis in a scene of the film Andaz(1949)

Talking about Dilip Sahab feels incomplete if we don’t include the iconic film of every generation, Mughal-e-Azam. This movie set the benchmark of any historical movie made in future and will be made. He has cast again the beautiful Madhubala as Prince Salim, with Prithiviraj Kapoor as his father playing Emperor Akbar. Everything about this movie was just perfect, we felt the love and pain of Salim towards Anarkali through his performance and nobody has ever touched that level of acting ever. And nobody will ever be able to touch THE DILIP KUMAR level of acting.

Even before there were three Khans of Bollywood, there was “THE FIRST KHAN” and that was Dilip Sahab. Dilip Sahab was and is an institution to the whole future generation of actors in life on how to lead in life and not only movies.

The “TRAGEDY KING” is a legacy in himself and nobody could be close to that legacy. He holds the Guinness World Record for winning the maximum number of awards by an Indian actor. He is the only actor who has received international accolades at that time when no one looking towards the Indian cinema. The Government of India honoured Dilip Sahab with India’s second-highest civilian award, the Padma Vibhushan, for his contributions to Indian cinema(2015). Elected to Rajya Sabha, the upper house of Indian Parliament. (2000-2006). Dadasaheb Phalke Award (1994). India’s third-highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan, for his contributions towards Indian cinema (1991). Appointed as the Sheriff of Bombay by the Governor of Maharashtra, India for the period (1979-1982).

The government of Pakistan honoured him with its highest civilian honour, the Nishan-e-Imtiaz (Order of Excellence) (1998). Till the 2000s Kumar was the only actor to have won 8 Filmfare Best Actor Awards until his record was shared by Shahrukh Khan by the mid-2000s.

From the Independence of India to the late 2010s Kumar held the record of giving the highest number of box office grossing films(9 films) until his record was broken by Salman Khan by delivering 10 films. But when adjusted for inflation, the record remains with Kumar. His historical movie Mughal-E-Azam is the highest-grossing film (equivalent to 2000 crores in 2015) in India when adjusted for inflation.

Dilip Kumar’s death is shattering as it is the END OF AN ERA, the actor who had the capability to make his audience cry and laugh, feel love just by his eyes and expressions. And at the end, I would just like to end by saying one of his dialogues only,

Taqdeerein badal jaati hain, zamana badal jaata hai, mulkon ki taarikh badal jaati hai, shahenshah badal jaate hain, magar iss badalti hui duniya mein mohabbat jis insaan ka daaman thaam leti hai, woh insaan nahi badalta”

SELF LOVE : a step to be yourself

There is nothing wrong with putting your happiness first. It’s SELF LOVE

Self love, the two very beautiful words that opens up a way to fascinating life, not for others but of course for yourself.

Many people take self love as becoming selfish. Let me take the honour of correcting them. Dear, self love dosen’t mean that one is becoming selfish. From the childhood  we have been taught that our action should not hurt others, you can’t be happy if you hurt others, you should keep everyone happy. But what about us? Should we give the responsibility of our happiness to others? Is there any guarantee that other people will definately keep us happy or is there any guarantee that our one action will keep everyone happy? The answer to this is a big no. We can’t keep everyone happy and satisfied. Here not thinking about anyone dosen’t meant that you hurt someone intentionally and justify your action with self love. That’s of course wrong.

Thinking about ourself first, thinking for our happiness first dosen’t make us selfish. It is the most powerful thing that you can do in your whole life. Self love dosen’t give only happiness , it gives us motivation. Strength of facing difficult situations in life, builds up decision making capability because if you have learnt to love yourself then you can easily decide what is good for you and which decision of yours will make you more happy. It is the root of all. If you think that you can keep others happy, can love others unconditionally without loving yourself first then, so sorry dude, you are wrong. You can give someone something only when you own that thing and that’s why you can love someone unconditionally only when you love yourself unconditionally. Everything around you begins with yourself first. Each and every person deserve to be loved, not only by others but by own first. Start appreciating yourself for what you have done, start motivating yourself for what you want to achieve, celebrate your achievements. Trust me you will start feeling better, you will start to live better.

How to keep yourself happy

Start to know yourself. Start working on things that makes you happy. true self love is giving yourself unconditional respect, love and appreciation. It’s reminding yourself that you are worthy, valuable and deserve all the happiness. You can follow the following brilliant tips to start loving yourself first :-

  • Clear your mind : Make yourself clear about what you actually want and try to ignore all if and but. Here ignoring if and but dosen’t mean inviting problems by doing unjustified act. Doing anything with a baggage of doubt or by force can never give you a complete satisfaction and of course if you are not satisfied with what you are doing then you can’t be happy.
  • Follow your passion and hobbies : Start taking out few hours from a day for your passion or the thing what you like to do, thing that makes you feel better. every person have a some kind of hobbies but they tend to ignore those things in the pressure of their job or their hectic schedule. Try to invest a bit of your precious time in your hobbies as well. It will give you mental peace and will also enhance your working capacity.
  • Stop comparing yourself : All the problem starts with comparison. When you compare yourself with another creature, you feel demotivate. You feel like there is a person who is far better than you and for this you start blaming yourself also that why are you not like him/her. Why can’t you think it this way that each person in respect of other is different? Why can’t you think that you also possess some good qualities? Start thinking this way. You will improve. No person in the whole world is just perfect. Each and every person have some kind of good thing or bad as well. So, just accept yourself and try to improve only, not change or like anyone else. Be the improved version of yourself only.
  • Surround yourself with people with you feel good : This is important. Toxic people can destroy our each step towards our happiness. They are the biggest hurdle between us and our happiness. Directly they don’t target but their action does. Pick few people from your squad who are innovative, with whom you feel happy and comfortable. Their company will enhance your inner peace.
  • Accept what you cannot love : Every person have some bad sides, we have talked about this above as well. It’s easy to love what you love about yourself but not for what you don’t. Try to understand this very carefully. You don’t need to force either yourself or your mind to love what you don’t. Accept your flaws and just focus on improvement. Self love dosen’t mean that you are supposed to love everything about yourself. That will definately make you selfish. Just accept that yes, I am bad at this and I’ll improve rather than blaming, ‘oh god! Iam bad at this, now what next, blah! blah! blah!

So dear, take a deep breath, start thinking and start working for yourself as well. Only you can make you happy.

“Love yourself first and everything else falls into line.

You really need to love yourself to get anything done in this world.”

Women Empowerment

Hello everyone! I am here to talk about Women Empowerment.
It is an issue that we are supposed to be paying attention on long back. Women empowerment is something that is very important for a developed and successful country. Each and every educated one according to my proper knowledge will want women to get empowered as they know the importance having equality in a nation. In the earlier days women were supposed to keep quite in all the problem solving and decision making matters, they were expected to just do household chores. The condition and thinking was so bad that at some households women were supposed to have their meals after the men of the house.
Patriarchy was there on an extent that men were supposed to be the only leaders of their house. They used to take decisions and everyone should go according to what they say and what they feel is right. There was also a Sati system where women were told to die if their husband did. No one asked women if they want to do that or not. Irrespective of how a women feels about a certain thing, she was told to do it without giving any options or choices. People were so ignorant about the feelings of women.
Now as years have passed and people have gained knowledge. Modernisation has led to make women of some regions feel a little bit equal to men. Earlier there used to only be one earning member in the house that is man and women were always playing a role of depending members in the family. As time have passed women are getting chances to speak on certain topics and this is where I feel there is freedom of speech and expression finally given to a woman. In order to make women feel equal to men there are a lot of things we can do individually as well as forming groups and campaigns.
In an individual way we can let woman make certain choices and decisions that are considered really very important which will make them feel happy that they are given importance of taking such decisions for the family or any other matter. The idea of not eating together is however vanished in a lot of places now. Women have meals with their family at the same time but still there are some families who are following same old traditions that needs to be changed in order to see our country make progress. We should think that in today’s economy, to lead a healthy and successful life with luxury there should be more than one earning member in a family. This is where women should be encouraged to do jobs and earn so that even they get motivated and love themselves for being independent.
I feel that women is a very supporting pillar of a country. Other than taking care of household and reproducing, she should also be treated as equal in workplaces. Government has come with so many campaigns related to empowering women. Even we should altogether form groups and donate some amount of our salary for the women who are been thrown out of their houses because they didn’t obeyed those orthodox thinking. With that money we should find women good job opportunities and help them so that they don’t depend on anyone in their lives.
Thank you!

Shirishko phool (Mimosa Tree): Book Review

The narrator is a seasoned combat veteran. The veteran tells the story from beginning to end. Throughout the story, he changes his mind about war crimes. He dismisses them at first, but eventually identifies and condemns them. The novel’s development spans two years. The narrative emphasizes the seasonal variations and the Mimosa tree. The season reflects his own growth and situation.

About the book

This beautiful novel was written by one of the most talented lady in the Nepali literature sector, we all know her as Parijat. This book was published by Sanjha prakashan, in 2068 B.S., this novel was also awarded with ‘Madan Puraskar’ in 2022 B.S.

This tale tries to exhibit how an individual’s life, perspective, and impression of things might be affected by any experience. Suyog’s Army experience ended up being something that demolished his life and transformed him into an individual he disdains. He holds a similar discernment in the wake of leaving the gathering until he experiences Sakambari. This tale additionally portrays how a commonplace Nepali man sees a woman and how he feels about his significant other. The contemplations of a desolate individual are shown incredibly precisely in this work, including the impression that they detest their dejection yet are hesitant to enlighten others regarding it because of a paranoid fear of others downplaying their quandary.

About Parijat

Parijat traveled to Kathmandu to continue her education in English literature after growing up in a privileged household in Darjeeling. She claims that after studying several French, Russian, and Indian literature in particular, she was disappointed by Nepali writings. Consequently, despite her beginnings as a poet, she vowed to write an outstanding Nepali language novel. While studying for her I.A. and B.A. degrees, she wrote four novels, all of which she burned. She was then bedridden for three years due to sickness, during which time she penned her fifth novel, Shirishko Phool, which she opted to publish.

Story

This is a story about a man named Suyog, who was a previous warrior in the British-Gurkha Army who served in WWII; he resigned after the conflict and presently gets by on his annuity. Suyog reviews a mate he made, Shiva raj, and how he was visiting his home interestingly and the scenes he saw there toward the beginning of the story. Shiva raj is a man with a great deal of obligation in his life; he has three unmarried sisters at home to help and their investigations. They’re subsequently found to be two heavy drinkers who ended up gathering in a bar.

Sakambari, one of Shiva Ram’s sisters, is the next character to enter Suyog’s life. She has a very different outlook on life and, in many circumstances, is diametrically opposed to Suyog. Suyog is continually made fun of by her, which keeps her picture fresh in his head. Unlike Sakambari, Shiva Ram’s other sister Mujura gradually becomes someone Suyog considers ideal wife material. He doesn’t love Mujura; all he wants is to marry her and have her as his wife to help him cope with his loneliness.

“Swasni lae prem pani garnae parcha bhanney kura malae thaha thiyena, prem katro jhuto, katro upahas, katro nirrarthakh”

Suyog

This Nepali statement means “I didn’t knew that wife also need to be loved, Love is fake, rediculous, and meaning less”

By the statement, he makes it plain that love and relationships are not things for him to value, and that he even adheres to the old beliefs and conventions imposed by our old concept of society, which does not respect women.

Suyog’s relationship with Sakambari had always been one of antagonism and a smidgeon of hatred, but one day he finds that his animosity has transformed into a deep feeling he didn’t believe in: love. He had begun to love Sakambari, and the sense of being unable to tell Sakambari the truth about his feelings caused him to reflect on some old experiences.

He concedes to himself that he was at one time a creature, that his offenses were things he was unable to change and never felt horrendous about, and that his association with Sakambari was more than essentially physical. Suyog at last admits his warm gestures to Sakambari, yet amidst the disorder kisses her. He is embarrassed and repentant for what he has done, yet he is a weakling for not going up against Sakambari once more. Suyog is left repentant at the novel’s decision, as he at long last sees that his activities can hurt lives in manners he won’t ever envision. Suyog’s eyes are opened by Sakambari’s demise, which uncovers a fact.

Conclusion

Sirish ko Phool is not a book that is easily digested by the general public. Its bitterness may irritate you, yet you will be moved by its humanity. ‘Sirish ko Phool’ has an easy-to-follow poetic symphysis.Suyog, on the other hand, hasn’t changed his mind about women. ‘Sirish ko Phool’ is a tragic parijat work that carries the true feelings and brings the inner soul to life.

INSOLVENCY PROCEEDINGS AGAINST INDIVIDUALS

The Proceedings against an Individual are governed by Section 249 of Insolvency and Bankruptcy code, 2016 as amended in 2019 and made operational by Central Government from 01.12.2019.And By Provincial towns insolvency Act 1909 and Provincial insolvency act 1920 and are enforced by the courts.Section 249 of IBC, 2016 Provides for Amendment of Act 51 (Recovery of debts due to banks and financial Institutions Act) of 1993. In cases of Individuals Section 249 provides it for minimum default of Rs. 1 thousand is necessary to trigger a suit against an Individual or It can be triggered by filing a suit in Debt Recovery Tribunals (DRTs) which would have circuit sittings in all district headquarters. Clause 1A of Section 8 of Recovery of debts due to banks and Financial institutions, Insolvency resolution and bankruptcy of individuals and partnership firms Act 1993 (as amended by section 249 of IBC 2019 amendment Bill) Provides for the power to the central government to establish Debt recovery appellate tribunals which would exercise powers and authority to entertain appeal under Part III of IBC, 2016 And Also to establish Debt recovery tribunals Under clause 1A of section 3 in the same act named above.

OBJECTS AND REASONS OF IBC 2016 There is no single law in India that deals with insolvency and bankruptcy. Provisions relating to insolvency and bankruptcy for companies can be found in the Sick Industrial Companies (Special Provisions) Act, 1985, the Recovery of Debt Due to Banks and Financial Institutions Act, 1993, the Securitization and Reconstruction of Financial Assets and Enforcement of Security Interest Act, 2002 and the Companies Act, 2013. These statutes provide for creation of multiple fora such as Board of Industrial and Financial Reconstruction (BIFR), Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT) and National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) and their respective Appellate Tribunals. Liquidation of companies is handled by the High Courts. Individual bankruptcy and insolvency is dealt with under the Presidency Towns Insolvency Act, 1909, and the Provincial Insolvency Act, 1920 and is dealt with by the Courts. The existing framework for insolvency and bankruptcy is inadequate, ineffective and results in undue delays in resolution, therefore, the proposed legislation. The Code seeks to provide for designating the NCLT and DRT as the Adjudicating Authorities for corporate persons and firms and individuals, respectively, for resolution of insolvency, liquidation and bankruptcy. The Code separates commercial aspects of insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings from judicial aspects.JURISDICTION OF PROVINCIAL INSOLVENCY ACT 1920The scheme of Section 60(2) and (3) is thus clear – the moment there is a proceeding against the corporate debtor pending under the 2016 Code, Any bankruptcy proceeding against the individual personal guarantor will, if already initiated before the proceeding against the corporate debtor, be transferred to the National Company Law Tribunal or, if initiated after such proceedings had been commenced against the corporate debtor, be filed only in the National Company Law Tribunal. However, the Tribunal is to decide such proceedings only in accordance with the Presidency-Towns Insolvency Act, 1909 or the Provincial Insolvency Act, 1920, as the case may be. It is clear that sub-section (4), which states that The Tribunal shall be vested with all the powers of the Debt Recovery Tribunal, as contemplated under Part III of this Code, for the purposes of sub-section (2), would not take effect, As the Debt Recovery Tribunal has not yet been empowered to hear bankruptcy proceedings against individuals under Section 179 of the Code, as the said Section has not yet been brought into force. Also, we have seen that Section 249, dealing with the consequential amendment of the Recovery of Debts Act to empower Debt Recovery Tribunals to try such proceedings, has also not been brought into force. The liability of a guarantor arises as soon as the principal debtor defaults in paying back the loan. It is to be noted that a contract of guarantee focuses upon the breaking of a promise, whereas the IBC focuses upon the existence of a default. Contrary to the proceedings under the IBC which can only be conducted in NCLT, a breach of guarantee contract can be brought into DRT, that too when ‘public money’ is involved. The rights available to a creditor to proceed against the personal guarantor of a corporate debtor are many-fold, i.e. he can either go to DRT solely for the purpose of debt recovery, or he can file insolvency proceedings against the personal debtor. Para 19 in the case of state bank of India Versus Ramakrishna provide:“We are afraid that such arguments have to be turned down on a careful reading of the Sections relied upon. Section 60 of the Code, in sub-section (1) thereof, refers to insolvency resolution and liquidation for both corporate debtors and personal guarantors, the Adjudicating Authority for which shall be the National Company Law Tribunal, having territorial jurisdiction over the place where the registered office of the corporate person is located. This sub-section is only important in that it locates the Tribunal which has territorial jurisdiction in insolvency resolution processes against corporate debtors. So far as personal guarantors are concerned, we have seen that Part III has not been brought into force, and neither has Section 243, which repeals the Presidency-Towns Insolvency Act, 1909 and the Provincial Insolvency Act, 1920. The net result of this is that so far as individual personal guarantors are concerned, they will continue to be proceeded against under the aforesaid two Insolvency Acts and not under the Code. Indeed, by a Press Release dated 28.08.2017, the Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, cautioned that Section 243 of the Code, which provides for the repeal of said enactments, has not been notified till date, and further, that the provisions relating to insolvency resolution and bankruptcy for individuals and partnerships as contained in Part III of the Code are yet to be notified. Hence, it was advised that stakeholders who intend to pursue their insolvency cases may approach the appropriate authority/court under the existing enactments, instead of approaching the Debt Recovery Tribunals.”ATTACHMENT OF DEBTOR’S PROPERTY“Under Section 56 of the Provincial Insolvency Act, 1920, the estate of the insolvent vests in the receiver only for the purpose of its administration and to pay off the debts to the creditors. The receiver acquired no personal interest of his own in the property. The receiver appointed by the court takes possession of the properties in the suit on behalf of the court and administers the property on behalf of the ultimate successful party as an officer of the court and he has no personal interest in the property vested there under.Section 56 of the Provincial Insolvency Act (5 of 1920) empowers the Court at the time of the making of the order of adjudication or thereafter to appoint a receiver for the property of the insolvent and to further provide that “such property shall thereupon vest in such receiver”. The word “vest” employed therein is only for the purpose of the receiver to administer the estate of insolvent for payment of the debts after realizing, and the property of the insolvent vests in the receiver not for all purposes but only for the purpose of the Insolvency Act and the receiver has no interest of his own in the property.

INDIAN STATES: AN inEQUALITY TRENCH THAT IS GETTING DEEPER

India a developing nation, dreaming to become a global economic power in future but are we on the right track its still a myth which needs few concerns. Taking states and region there is huge inequality, few regions are well developed while some states are impoverished and poor. States like Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh are mineral rich states but still way below in human development index and way bad in comparison to some of the poorest country of the world. While states like Maharashtra and Gujrat are way better in these norms.

This condition, today ways back in 1980s when country started to grow, but its growth remained in very few states. Since then if we see, more than half of India’s GDP is still generated by 5 states – Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Gujrat which is 47% of total (2018-19). Despite being similar size, the level of development is not same across all these states, especially in context of Per Capita Income and Per Capita GDP. The difference between the richest and the poorest states has been on a steady rise, indicating a steady rise in overall inequality as well. According to report, the difference between top 5 richest state and poorest states has risen by 145% to 322% in 2018-19 on comparing to start of century. Private investments are typically attracted to those areas which are already developed and equipped with basic infrastructure. But also, the poor states have geographically difficulties, and it is one of the major factors behind the leftover. Bihar and Eastern states are examples of it. While some experts have held ‘over-centralized’ economic policies of the government as responsible for this growth inequality. License raj and corruption are other few norms of it. Policy of subsidized the mineral transportation from the resource rich states to location-based production units acts as kick in the teeth for them. This policy harmed economic growth of mineral rich states like Chhattisgarh, Orissa, Madhya Pradesh etc.

Criminalization, rise of extremist ideas like Naxalism, insurgency in northern states and caste wars etc. have also played significant roles in strengthening regional disparity. Other problems like the failure of land reform policies impoverished already poor people and the lands rights were concentrated in a few hands. Other than pan India disparity, we also witness intra-state disparity in Indian states ‘Intra -state disparity’ refers to some regions within a state which are extremely backward as compared to the other parts of the same state.

The uneven growth impacts the overall development of the country up to a considerable level, had all states grown the average growth rate of 5 states, which is 7.2%, in 2014 India would have a Per Capita GDP income around 1900 US dollars, which would be 1.5 times the actual data. This inequality leads to increase in rate of crimes and insurgencies in the states.

But problem is until it is solved, so to improve there must be a dire need to address the growing regional economic disparity through region-specific comprehensive economic policies, if India wants to achieve ‘equitable development’. It is also important to improve skills of poor state population as industries attract to good skilled labor. Government if want to improve then they must invest in both Social and Physical infrastructure. Social infrastructure includes Health, Education and skill development while Physical infrastructure include Roadways, Railways and Electricity. The union government can also nudge the states under competition federalism to perform better and undertake more measures of reforms.

Types of Life Insurance in India- Risks and Benefits

There are various types of Life Insurance present in market, Each having its own risks and benefits. In life, unplanned expenses are a bitter truth. Even when you think that you are financially secure, a sudden expenditure can shake you up financially and it can also leave you in huge amount of debts.

Since, we cannot plan ahead for contingencies arising from such incidents, insurance policies offer support to minimise financial liability from unforeseen occurrences.

Life Insurance is a policy in which the policyholder can ensure financial freedom for his/her family members after death. Suppose you are the sole earning member in your family, supporting your wife and children. In an event of your death, your family would be left financially devastated. Life insurance policies ensure that such a thing does not happen by providing financial assistance to your family in the event of your passing.

There are 7 types of life insurance policy. These are:

Term Insurance or Term Plan: It is a life insurance plan that provides financial coverage to the beneficiary of the insured person for a definite period of time. In the event of the death of the policyholder during policy term, the beneficiary can claim death benefits from the insurance company.

Risks: In this term plan, no payout is provided to the insured person or beneficiaries if the insured person outlives the policy term.

Benefits: It is a pure death risk cover plan that offers high coverage or sum assured at low premiums.

Whole Life Policy: Whole Life Insurance Plans are insurance plans which provide insurance cover to the policyholder for the rest of his/her life provided the premium is paid on time. Policyholder receives maturity benefit in case he/she survives the policy term. The nominee appointed receives the death benefit in case of death of policyholder. A whole life policy is a type of life insurance that provides guaranteed death benefits during the entire life of the policyholder. The coverage is extended for as long as the insured lives, as long as the premiums are paid up and the policy is not surrendered. These plans are designed to cater to those who do not want a fixed tenure, but rather have insurance cover till whenever they meettheir demise. The policy will also build up a cash value which makes the premiums higher than some other plans.

Risks: If the insurance company changes its policies or policy terms, goes bankrupt, or has some bad years, the return to policyholder will be impacted negatively. Investing a large amount of money in this single policy exposes the policyholder to a larger risk.

Benefits: This policy covers whole life of the assured, or for up to 100 years in some cases. This insurance policy also offers partial withdrawals on completion of certain premium payment term.

Endowment Plan: An endowment policy is essentially a life insurance policy which, apart from covering the life of the insured, helps the policyholder save regularly over a specific period of time so that he/she is able to get a lump sum amount on the policy maturity in case he/she survives the policy term. This maturity amount can be used to meet various financial needs such as funding one’s retirement, children’s education and/or marriage or buying a house. A life insurance endowment policy pays the full sum assured to the beneficiaries if the insured dies during the policy term or to the policy holder on maturity of the policy if he/she survives the term.

Risks: Protection is provided only for the specified period. Premiums are usually much higher than a whole life or term insurance plans. Many insurers do not provide the renewability facility for endowment policies. Returns are usually low.

Benefits: If the assured outlives the term of the policy, the insurer offers the maturity benefit. These plans may offer periodical bonuses (paid either on maturity of the policy or to the beneficiaries under death claim). Endowment plans have surrender values, paidup values, and loan values.

Unit Linked Insurance Plan: It is a market-linked product that aggregates the very best of investment and insurance. It is a plan that links to the capital market and offers flexibility to invest in equity or debt funds as per the risk appetite of the investor. Such a dual benefit of ULIP makes them attractive in terms of investment.

Risks: The returns cannot be guaranteed. Returns are poor because a host of charges are associated with the scheme, such as administrative charges, mortality charges, and so on.

Benefits: If the market does well, profits are good. It provides mortality insurance cover. ULIP investments are flexible, the policyholder can switch from one policy to another. ULIP provides tax exemption benefits to the policyholders under section 80c. Even the sum assured received by the nominee after the demise of the policyholder is tax free.

Money Back Policy: These plans protect the insured and his/her family’s financial interests from death or critical illness of the policyholder. These include both investment and insurance and it starts to pay an amount that is called a “survival benefit” over the lifetime of the policy. The survival benefit is given after a few years from the start of the money back plan and continues till the maturity of the policy. In case of the death of the policy holder, the nominee receives whole of the maturity amount irrespective of number of the “survival benefits” paid.

Risks: Tenure is very long (usually up to 20, 25, and 30 years).

Benefits: Survival benefits paid at regular interval during the policy tenure. On maturity of the plan, the remaining part of the sum assured is paid (known as maturity benefit). In case of death of the assured, insurer pays the entire Sum Assured to the beneficiaries.

Children Policy: It serves two purpose that is insurance cum investment. It financially secures the child’s future and also finance the turning points in his/her life such as higher education and marriage. These plans are best designed to ensure the future of the child in the event of the unfortunate demise of the parents and also build a corpus over a time so as to utilize it at prime moments.

Risks: Considering an additional charge such as premium allocation charges, and others, returns could be low return in the initial stage and lead to additional loss on leaving policy before tenure’s completion.

Benefits: Helps in building the corpus for your child’s education and marriage. Most child plans provide one-time pay-out or annual instalments after the child turns 18. Some child plans even waive off the payment of future premiums on demise of the life insured. The Policy continues till it’s maturity.

Retirement Plan/ Annual Plan: An annuity is a plan that helps the policyholder/ insured to get a regular payment for life after making a lump sum investment. The life insurance company invests the money of the investor and pays back the returns generated from it.

Risks: Annuity plans are one of the costliest types of investment. Most plans charge surrender penalty for early withdrawal.

Benefits: Guaranteed pay-out. Some annuity plans pay out a higher income than available standard annuities if during the occurrence of health issues.

Revisiting our school days: Memories We Miss

As we developed more seasoned, we perceived that our school years were the greatest long periods of our lives. School days are the greatest days since there is no work pressure, no worry about bringing in cash, and we have limitless opportunity to play and appreciate life as we pick.

I detested getting up toward the beginning of the day (which I actually do) and preparing for school, reviewing the entirety of the earlier day’s homework that was forced upon us every one of us. Consistently, I used to ponder internally, “Gracious, wow! When will I grow up and not need to stress over concentrating constantly? “.. However, at the present time, I’d effectively return to my grade school days, sit in my study hall, play flares and spasm tac toe with my buddies, and tattle about who really have crush on whom. I’m certain we have a billion different recollections from our school days; for what reason don’t we restore them on the spot?

Picture of school trip with teachers and students.
  • The adventure of getting another school uniform, covering books in earthy colored paper, and staying your favourite stickers on them.
  • Checking whether the teacher brings the appropriate response sheets after the test.
  • It is one of the undertakings offered to understudies that falls under the classification of The Most Daring Tasks. The ideal title for you is Khatron Ke Khiladi since you can open your lunch box and burn-through your food without the teacher taking note. You are accountable for the whole class. We as a whole anticipated the mid-day break since it gave us a break from contemplating and a chance to socialize. We additionally anticipated the break time eagerly when we realized we had our number one food in our lunch box.
  • Perhaps the main parts of education is social studies. We ordinarily bunked the social studies class avoided a few or the entirety of my homework since I’m a particularly good-for-nothing. Notwithstanding the schoolwork component, I’m certain the vast majority of us wanted for a too arrogant teacher to deal with and would leave us with a substitute teacher. Yaayyyy! Available energy was the most delightful thing that consistently happened to me.
  • We as a whole have accounts of times when we bothered our mates. We stimulated my pals and composing on their notebook to prod them, which by and large formed into a composing war. THOSE WERE THE GOOD OLD DAYS!
  • At the point when companions are trapped amidst the most troublesome events, they can turn into the most interesting. Indeed, even the most ludicrous things sound interesting. Furthermore, when you have a parody amigo adjacent to you, it’s outlandish not to laugh.
  • We used to count the number of children and adhere to the passage that we needed to peruse to relinquish the strain of focusing on each section.
  • The most euphoric second was the point at which the last ringer rang and the time had come to pack things. They’re all prepared to get back with smiles and fun.
  • We are totally favored to have encountered these wonderful minutes, the hints of which will live on to us for eternity.
  • The last exam was constantly joined by euphoric sentiments, as though one were eased and flying through the air. Likewise, the staggering pleasure made it hard to decide the best strategy to celebrate.
  • Last-minute revision, regardless of whether for a short test or a last, most important test, consistently made my heart race.
  • Without these large events, school would be incomplete. We can recall how excited we were at the prospect of wearing traditional dress for the first time in school. We were all so psyched about the farewell we’d be holding the following year before even finishing 9th grade.
  • The school trips and picnics, which were full of fun and learning, are undoubtedly one of the fondest memories we have of our school years. We were bound by a set of rules, dos and don’ts as students. While these limits and constraints are crucial for a our overall growth, it is equally critical that they be allowed to explore and experiment on occasion.
  • The best part about our school life was our First Crush. You become a regular student at school exclusively to see your crush everyday. At the prize conveyance function, you may have gotten an regular student prize. Thank your crush for everything.

Looking back, we understand how uninformed we were in school and how many flaws we possessed. Our time in school, on the other hand, taught us the value of education, and we would not have the excellent friends, knowledge, experiences, or memories that we do now if it weren’t for our school years.

Despite the excitement that fills our days and years in high school, we also mature enough to recognize the value of time. Because we acquired dedication, hard effort, motivation, and self-actualization in high school, it is a fantastic chapter in our memory.

Conclusion

It is claimed that a person always remembers his or her first and last days of school. The first day a youngster remembers is when he or she arrived weeping. And the last day a pupil remembers is the day they leave school, crying once more. In my situation, I recall my first day of school and my last day of school vividly. The benefits of attending school are unquestionably numerous. School days are, without a doubt, the happiest of our lives.

ONLINE LEARNING: Expanding A Whole System Accidently

Two years ago from now, no one had thought about that the entire learning system will go online. No one was prepared for this change completely but now it is the only option left for the people to choose.

Basically, online learning provide students to learn in a complete virtual environment. Rather than going out to school or coaching centers students can access to their classes easily sitting at their home comfortably. Some will find this method a good one and some will not. Actually it all happened sudden and no one was prepared for it. Before we discuss further, let’s discuss about a little bit of history of this kind of education system or method.

Although the concept is not new for everyone. In the form of distance learning it was there. Online learning is about 170 years old concept. Great Britain’s instructors used to send the lessons via e-mails and received assingnments from the students through the same. So, this technique gave birth to distance learning. Students sitting geographically anywhere around the world can access to courses available on distance mode. Yes, not all  courses were available for distance learning but now the condition is different.

Why expanding accidently

COVID-19 pandemic had forced everyone to adapt online learning techniques. Not only universities, schools and other educational institutions are also now bound to provide education through virtual mode. Pandemic had led to develop the whole education system accidently. Although, the same was the future but we are now compelled by the situation to adopt all this early.

Many higher education courses were made available on this platform to promote this kind of method which is followed by many advantages like anyone, anytime and from anywhere to access their lectures ,if lectures are provided in recorded form and if not then the students need to manage their time as instructed by their teacher. For many educational institutes it is a complete new way of providing education that they have had to adopt and some were a little of habitual of it as we were planning to adopt the method in coming future. Along with several advantages, online learning have some disadvantages also. Let us now discuss them briefly.

ADVANTAGES

  • Accessibility : This is the major advantage of e-learning. As stated above, anyone, anytime and from anywhere can easily access to their lectures. Educational institutions are also expanding their network of teaching breaking all geographical boundaries and connecting on virtual platform.
  • Improved students attendance : In the recent scenario it came to notice that the percentage of students attending lectures or classes have increased in online classes. In physical mode classes, a normal attendance was used to be 70-80% in schools which has now increased to 90-95% and it is only because of accessibility.
  • Affordability : Online education is far more affordable than physical classes for both students and institutions as well. It’s because e-learning eliminates the cost of infrastructure, maintenance, travelling, etc.
  • Better time management : Rather than moving from here and there, people can manage their work from where they are. Like, students and teachers both don’t need to travel to meet at institution to deliver or receive a lecture. This travelling tine is saved in e-learning.

DISADVANTAGES

  • Technology issues : No one have control over these issues. Biggest example that you can relate to this situation is network connectivity. Disturbance on either student or teacher side eliminates the smooth conduct of classes.
  • Inability to focus on screens : Many students cannot focus on screens for a long duration. Despite of online classes, other social platforms are also there where students use to spend there time.
  • Require strong self motivation : S student can only learn through online mode when (s)he is strongly self motivated. there are numerous factors to distract students from their studies. In this kind of situation, only self motivation can help one to stay away from those hurdles.
  • Lack of practical knowledge : This factor can be identifies as a biggest drawback of e-learning. Students are not able to do practicals and due to this they may become inconfident. Rather than practical , it focuses more on theory.

So, in order to gain complete benefits of e-leaning  it is important to make everyone use of the gadgets used in e-learning and a proper training of staff  members id also necessary as many people don’t know how to operate.

HOW DOES DOGS HELP HUMANITY?

Dogs have not always held a special place in the hearts of their human companions. Their role among humans was mostly utilitarian until the 18th century, when the term “man’s best friend” came into the lexicon. Their working roles are reduced today, but their importance at home has only increased. From pets to sporting companions to service dogs, canines add a measurable degree of quality to the worlds of the humans they share their lives with.

Companionship

Dogs provide companionship and company. They can be a comfort to people who crave unconditional interaction with another living being. According to Vanderbilt University, dogs can decrease levels of human loneliness and give humans a sense of purpose as they care for their animal companions. This can be especially beneficial for people who live alone, don’t socialize much, are empty-nesters or recently experienced a major change of life, such as the loss of a close human companion to death or divorce.

Security

Dogs provide a sense of security for human companions. Trained watchdogs can provide a high degree of security, while even small house dogs can offer a sense of protection by alerting their owners to approaching strangers or unusual circumstances in the home. Dogs employed by government agencies and police organizations sniff out contraband in places likes airports and large public venues to ensure public security. According to a Texas A&M website, dogs utilized specifically for security purposes require a specialized degree of training to be safe and effective for their handlers.

Teaching Responsibility

Many families use the family dog to help teach responsibility to children. Kids can be taught valuable traits and life skills through positive interaction with the family pet and by taking responsibility for feeding, walking, training and grooming. Children can learn the value of treating all living things with respect and dignity when they have the opportunity care for and love a family dog.

Stress Reduction and Health Benefits

Dogs can help reduce stress levels in human beings and are often used for therapeutic purposes in hospitals, nursing homes and hospices. Playing with a dog, exercising, walking or running can help human beings reduce stress levels and increase their health and well-being. Studies by Harvard University and Kansas State show dog interaction with humans can help combat challenges associated with some form of heart disease and autism.

Service Animals

Dogs raised as service, assistance or therapy animals can open up the world for disabled individuals. Specially trained animal companions help with daily activities and assist people with challenges to make their way in the world. Service animals can make it possible for physically disadvantaged individuals to work, travel and live independently. Search-and-rescue dogs can track human scent in even the most challenging environments.

MAGNITUDE 3.7 EARTHQUAKE

MILD earthquake was felt in the country’s capital and in it’s ncr on Monday night as a low-intensity earthquake hit near Haryana’s Jhajjar. The magnitude of the quake was 3.7, according to the National Center for Seismology.

The agency said the earthquake struck 10 kilometre north of Jhajjar at around 10.37 pm. Its depth was 5 kilometres.

Twitter users started sharing their earthquake experience, with many saying their homes shook because of the tremors.

Delhi, which lies close to a faultline, is susceptible to big earthquakes, geologists say. Since April 12, the Delhi National Capital Region (NCR) has recorded over two dozen earthquakes.

The city falls in seismic zone IV – a very high-risk zone. India is divided into four seismic zones — II, III, IV and V — according to increasing intensity and frequency of earthquakes.

If a magnitude 6 earthquake strikes Delhi, a large number of structures which do not follow safety norms are likely to be demolished, experts have said.

Optical Fibre

Development of optical fiber technology is considered to be a major driver behind the information technology revolution and the tremendous progress on global telecommunications that has been witnessed in recent years. Fiber optics, from the point of view of telecommunication, is now almost taken for granted in view of its wide-ranging application as the most suitable singular transmission medium for voice, video, and data signals. Indeed, optical fibers have now penetrated virtually all segments of telecommunication networks, whether transoceanic, transcontinental, intercity, metro, access, campus, or on-premise. The first fiber optic telecom link went public in 1977. Since that time, growth in the lightwave communication industry until about 2000 has been indeed mind boggling. According to a Lucent technology report, in the late 1990s optical fibers were deployed at approximately 4800 km/hr, implying a total fiber length of almost three times around the globe each day until it slowed down when the information technology bubble burst! The Internet revolution and deregulation of the telecommunication sector from government controls, which took place almost globally in the recent past, have substantially contributed to this unprecedented growth within such a short time, which was rarely seen in any other technology.

An optical fiber  is a flexible, transparent fiber cable made by drawing glass (silica) or plastic to a diameter slightly thicker than that of a human hair. Optical fibers are used most often as a means to transmit light between the two ends of the fiber and find wide usage in fiber-optic communications, where they permit transmission over longer distances and at higher bandwidths (data transfer rates) than electrical cables. Fibers are used instead of metal wires because signals travel along them with less loss; in addition, fibers are immune to electromagnetic interference, a problem from which metal wires suffer. Fibers are also used for illumination and imaging, and are often wrapped in bundles so they may be used to carry light into, or images out of confined spaces, as in the case of a fiberscope. Specially designed fibers are also used for a variety of other applications, some of them being fiber optic sensors and fiber lasers. Being able to join optical fibers with low loss is important in fiber optic communication. This is more complex than joining electrical wire or cable and involves careful cleaving of the fibers, precise alignment of the fiber cores, and the coupling of these aligned cores. For applications that demand a permanent connection a fusion splice is common. In this technique, an electric arc is used to melt the ends of the fibers together. Another common technique is a mechanical splice, where the ends of the fibers are held in contact by mechanical force. Temporary or semi-permanent connections are made by means of specialized optical fiber connectors. The field of applied science and engineering concerned with the design and application of optical fibers is known as fiber optics. The term was coined by Indian-American physicist Narinder Singh Kapany, who is widely acknowledged as the father of fiber optics.

Uses:

  • Optical fiber is used as a medium for telecommunication and computer networking because it is flexible and can be bundled as cables. It is especially advantageous for long-distance communications, because infrared light propagates through the fiber with much lower attenuation compared to electricity in electrical cables. This allows long distances to be spanned with few repeaters. 10 or 40 Gbit/s is typical in deployed systems.
  • Fibers have many uses in remote sensing. In some applications, the sensor is itself an optical fiber. Fibers are used to channel radiation to a sensor where it is measured. In other cases, fiber is used to connect a sensor to a measurement system.
  • Optical fiber can be used to transmit power using a photovoltaic cell to convert the light into electricity.
  • Optical fibers are used as light guides in medical and other applications where bright light needs to be shone on a target without a clear line-of-sight path. Many microscopes use fiber-optic light sources to provide intense illumination of samples being studied.
  • Optical fiber is also used in imaging optics. A coherent bundle of fibers is used, sometimes along with lenses, for a long, thin imaging device called an endoscope, which is used to view objects through a small hole. Medical endoscopes are used for minimally invasive exploratory or surgical procedures. Industrial endoscopes (see fiberscope or borescope) are used for inspecting anything hard to reach, such as jet engine interiors.
  • In some buildings, optical fibers route sunlight from the roof to other parts of the building (see nonimaging optics). Optical-fiber lamps are used for illumination in decorative applications, including signs, art, toys and artificial Christmas trees. Optical fiber is an intrinsic part of the light-transmitting concrete building product LiTraCon.
  • Optical fiber can also be used in structural health monitoring. This type of sensor is able to detect stresses that may have a lasting impact on structures. It is based on the principle of measuring analog attenuation.
  • In spectroscopy, optical fiber bundles transmit light from a spectrometer to a substance that cannot be placed inside the spectrometer itself, in order to analyze its composition. A spectrometer analyzes substances by bouncing light off and through them. By using fibers, a spectrometer can be used to study objects remotely.
  • Fiber-optic sights for handguns, rifles, and shotguns use pieces of optical fiber to improve the visibility of markings on the sight.

How is blue light affecting us?

Pandemic has made today’s world a 100% digital world. With digitalisation on the peak so, is our daily digital gadget usage. We are spending; 7-10 hours behind a screen doing our work, attending online classes or Netflix and chilling. While doing so, we are exposing ourselves to harmful blue light radiated from these digital gadgets.

This blue light is causing eye strain and sleep deprivation in most of us.

Why blue light radiation causes eye strain?

The reason is when someone is exposed to the blue light coming from laptop screens or mobile screens they tend to blink fewer times than usual. This causes eye strain resulting in discomfort in the eyes. Blue light has the shortest wavelength and the highest frequency. So when it enters the eyes it causes much more scattering than any other light. This causes glare disability and discomfort glare at low intensities.

Blue light causes difficulty in falling asleep

Blue light exposure disturbs the circadian rhythm of the human body. In the olden days, the only source of blue light exposure was during the daylight hours and when the night falls, the body automatically signals the body to sleep by secreting melatonin. But due to the exposure to blue light, this melatonin secretion is suppressed and it thus affects the sleeping pattern.

Some of the best ways to prevent this blue light exposure is by reducing the screen time, using a blue light filter app on your gadget, wearing spectacles with blue light filter and using the 20-20 rule where you work on the screen for 20 minutes and then take a 20 minutes no gadget break.

However, not getting enough sleep on a regular basis might have a negative impact on your mood and work performance.Too much sleep can impede your reflexes and impair your ability to drive or perform other daily chores.

Try some mental exercises

Depending on whatever study you read, problem-solving exercises, brain training approaches, and even video games could all have a positive, negative, or no influence on focus.

Certain types of games can help you improve your concentration. Try:

  1. Sudoku puzzles
  2. crossword problem
  3. Jigsaw problems of chess
  4. Memory games such as word searches.

Meditate

Meditation is always a viable remedy to a variety of mental health issues. It aids Improving memory, concentration, focus, and attention are just a few of the benefits. Meditation entails more than just sitting quietly with your eyes closed; it also entails yoga and deep breathing.

spider web

When you touch a spider web with a spoon, the spider reacts and begins searching for the source of the contact. However, if you repeat the process multiple times, the spider will realize there is no insect or bug present and will turn away.

Similarly, when you’re at your desk, take five minutes to consider potential sources of distraction and then tell your mind to ignore them. When you are studying, for example, someone may knock on your door or drop anything near you. So, before you begin studying, make the decision that these situations may occur, but that you will not pay attention to them.

Play some songs

While working or studying, listening to music might help you concentrate.According to study, employing natural sounds or white noise to mask background sounds can aid increase focus and other brain processes, even if you don’t like listening to music while you work.

The music you listen to has an impact on your mood. Classical music, particularly baroque classical music, or nature sounds, according to experts, are wonderful choices for increasing focus. If classical music isn’t your thing, consider ambient or electronic music without lyrics. To avoid being distracted, keep the music low or at a background noise.

what will life be like in 2035?

Technologically, the 20-year jump from 2015 to 2035 will be huge. During that time some elements of our world will change beyond recognition while others will stay reassuringly (or disappointingly) familiar. Consider the 20 years to 2015. Back in 1995 we were in the early days of the internet, we worked in cubicles and our computers were chunky and powered by Windows 95. There were no touch screen phones or flat screen TVs; people laughed at the idea of reading electronic books, and watching a home movie meant loading a clunky cassette into your VCR.

So, what will our world really be like in 2035? What does the future hold for the food we eat, the technology we use and the homes we live in? It would be tempting to roll out the clichés – food pills, flying cars and bases on the moon – but the reality will probably be less exciting. The world in 2035 will probably be much like it is today, but smarter and more automatic. Some innovations we might not notice, while others will knock us sideways, changing our lives forever.

The future of food

What it won’t be like: The scene in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971) where Violet Beauregarde has a three-course roast dinner in a stick of chewing gum.

What it could be like: In an article for Time[1], Google’s Ray Kurzweil says: ‘The next major food revolution will be vertical agriculture in which we grow food in AI-controlled vertical buildings rather than horizontal land: hydroponic plants for fruits and vegetables and in-vitro cloned meat.’ This change is already happening. Green Spirit Farms grows kale, spinach and other greens under LED lights in an old plastics factory near Chicago.

Vertical farming, genetically modified (GM) crops and synthetic meat will be responses to the growing need for greater food efficiency as populations continue to grow. But there will also be a reluctant realisation that we all need to eat a better diet, one that is more plant-based and less reliant on processed foods. Meatless Mondays are a start. If that doesn’t work, we could be eating insects in 2035. Already popular in parts of Asia, insects are protein-rich, low in fat and a good source of calcium. Hey, don’t knock a roasted grasshopper until you’ve tried one.

The future of love

What it won’t be like: The movie Her (2013), where Joaquin Phoenix falls in love with an artificial intelligence (AI) operating system that has Scarlett Johansson’s voice.

What it could be like: The internet has forever changed the way people meet and fall in love. Online dating and location-based services such as Vine, Snapchat and Grindr have opened up possibilities that allow people to look beyond their immediate friends, friends of friends, and co-workers.

We are becoming more independent and less constrained by the old social norms. This will have an impact on the relationships we form, with fewer people choosing traditional marriage, a rise in official (and unofficial) civil partnerships, and more people remaining single for longer, if not forever.

Dr Helen Fisher, a senior research fellow at The Kinsey Institute for research in sex, gender and reproduction and an adviser to dating website Match.com, shared where she thinks relationships are heading in an article for The Wall Street Journal[2].

‘Singles are ushering into vogue an extended pre-commitment stage of courtship,’ she wrote. ‘With hooking up, friends with benefits, and living together, they are getting to know a partner long before they tie the knot. Where marriage used to be the beginning of a partnership, it’s becoming the finale.

‘Any prediction of the future should take into account the unquenchable, adaptable and primordial human drive to love,’ she added. ‘To bond is human. This drive most likely evolved more than four million years ago, and email and computers won’t stamp it out.’

The future of work

What it won’t be like: The film Metropolis (1927), where battalions of sullen workers tend hulking machines in mind-numbing ten-hour shifts.

What it could be like: Rather than humans working with machines, automation is likely to make some jobs redundant: taxi drivers replaced by self-driving Uber cars; receptionists replaced by robots; doctors outclassed by algorithms that can plug into vast medical databases; and travel agents wiped out by trip-planning, flight-booking web services.

Even writers are threatened by companies such as Narrative Science, which currently uses AI to automate the creation of sports reports and financial updates.

Obviously, there will also be new jobs created: the computer engineer/mechanic who fixes the self-driving Uber taxis; programmers; genome mappers and bioengineers; space tour guides; and vertical farmers. Technology will continue to disrupt businesses and eliminate jobs, creating new professions we can’t yet envisage.

Those of us who work probably won’t do so in a traditional office either. We’re already seeing a shift in the definition of work: it’s now a task you perform, not a place you go to. Productivity is no longer measured by sitting at a desk. There’s no nine to five. No job for life.

In MYOB’s report The Future of Business – Australia 2040[3], chief technology officer Simon Raik-Allen suggests we will see a return to more vibrant local communities as people work within walking distance of their homes.

‘Rather than the office, or even the remote workspace, localised centres will emerge as the home of business – giant warehouses, which are used by employees from many different companies, spread around the globe… Within each will be rooms filled with giant wall-sized screens allowing us to work in a fully virtual, telepresence model. Banks of 3D printers would be continually churning out products ordered by the local community,’ Raik-Allen predicts.

The future of health

What it won’t be like: Any episode of Star Trek where Bones whips out a tricorder, diagnoses the illness and then cures it with a hypo-spray.

What it could be like: Hospitals are the costliest single element in Australia’s health system, representing up to 40 per cent of our annual health expenditure[4]. No wonder future healthcare strategies will try to keep people out of them.

Prevention is likely to become the focus as we gain greater control of our health information, using self-monitoring biosensors and smart watches to continuously gather fitness data; web apps will crunch the data, syncing to electronic health records. Using these numbers, companies will be able to build a model of your overall health that can predict future problems. Being forewarned, patients will be able to take action early, changing lifestyle habits or taking designer drugs tailored to their individual DNA.

Technology will be key. ‘Telehealth platforms will make in-home patient monitoring the norm for those who need it,’ Dr Sarah Dods, health services research theme leader at CSIRO, wrote for the CSIRO[5]. Doctors will be able to consult over the internet – the perfect solution for people living in remote towns across Australia.

Genome mapping will lead to personalised medicines and 3D-printed replacement organs. Meanwhile, unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology will be used in driverless ambulance drones. The New Zealand-based Martin Jetpack company has already developed such a concept.

Of course, greater awareness of what we need to do to stay healthy will be equally important, as will avoiding passing health fads such as juicing, weight loss supplements and weird detoxification rituals like eating clay. And if we can stay away from futuristic cosmetic surgery procedures such as Jewel Eye (implanting platinum jewels into the whites of the eye to give that movie-style sparkle), so much the better.

COVID-19 pandemic for Pediatric Health Care: disadvantages and opportunities

The recent Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic outbreak has forced many countries to adopt specific austere “lockdown politics,” which had reduced the spreading of the infection in China, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, and Singapore, and have more recently started to slow down the infection rates in many European countries, severely hit by the epidemic (e.g., Italy and Spain). Considering the lack of vaccination, it is reasonable to think that, especially for children and older people, most of these lockdown measures will be prolonged for the next months, even if it is still too soon to precisely predict for how long.

In this context, many nations are experiencing an unprecedented distortion of social habits and medical assistance for people and patients of all ages, including children. Interruption of school, sport, and other social activities is forcing children to stay home for most of their time, in close contact with (often idle) parents. Moreover, lockdown has a direct effect in the reduction of activities in non-COVID emergency rooms and hospital wards caused by the shift of personnel towards COVID-units and by a diffuse “germaphobia” (fear of germs and infections, and as a consequence of hospitals). In most of the hospitals many “COVID-units” (as well as COVID-pediatric units) have been quickly created, and, at the same time, in the other units, activities have been focused more on patients affected by severe and acute conditions, reducing the care and assistance for patients affected by chronic or rare diseases.

This “motionless revolution” is taking to Health Care personnel and patients many disadvantages, with inestimable consequences, but also some opportunities that will be unique and reproducible with difficulty when the emergency will cease.

Disadvantages

Even if COVID-19 does not seem to affect children severely, many pediatrics wards have been focused more on the emergency of COVID-19-related issues. For this reason, attention on many other acute and chronic diseases, especially those rarer, may be lacking. This scarcity of interest may cause, particularly in childhood, severe problems or even death. Politicians and physicians may be distracted by COVID-19-related issues, but also parents or even the same young patients, as these last’s attention may be focused only on news and information related to COVID-19, misunderstanding some symptoms or paying less attention to their (chronic) diseases.

Neuropsychiatric and psychological issues related to lockdown are another significant issue. The house confinement for children can be easily practiced in the first weeks, as they can be particularly fascinated by unexpected and new habits, but a prolonged lack of routine school programs and housework, as well as sport and leisure activities, could increase the occurrence of psychological consequences and distress.  More than other primates, Homo sapiens is a highly social species, and children develop in the first years of their life specific social abilities exclusively out of their houses. It is reasonable to think that we will face an underestimation of children needing school assistance for (missed) learning difficulties if schools will be closed until September 2020. Adolescents and older children are at high risk of cell phone, computer, and other internet devices overuse, which has been linked to obesity and its related issues. Moreover, spending more time in non-filtered social networks, they could be also invested by fake news and anti-scientific theories related to COVID-19, increasing their fears and phobias.

Lastly, the economic breakdown, expected in most of the countries, will probably involve the national health systems, especially pediatric departments and units not involved in emergency and infectious diseases, limiting the experience, progresses, and even the simple management of many genetic, congenital, and chronic disorders, with severe social effects, especially for children.

Opportunities

From the first reports from Eastern countries, we know that, in children, COVID-19 manifests with a milder course and a more favorable outcome, with only a minority of patients presenting with complications. Mortality under 18 years of age is exceptionally low, differently from other well-known “historical pandemics” (e.g., influenza, measles, polio, smallpox). Such favorable outcome in children is matter of debate, and many “causes” have been proposed, including the role of active immunization schedules for other viruses performed in the first years of life, the simultaneous presence of other viruses in the mucosa of lungs and airways, common in young children, which could limit the growth of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-Cov2) by direct virus-to-virus interactions and competition; important factors seem to be the under-expression of angiotensin-converting enzyme 2 receptor necessary for SARS-Cov2 binding and infection, and a milder inflammatory cascade, as children usually do not manifest, in respiratory infections, the final hyperinflammatory phase that leads to severe acute respiratory distress syndrome, impaired cardiac function, and death. Studying pediatric patients will give the chance to investigate all these factors directly: key results could come evaluating the immune response of asymptomatic children compared to symptomatic, or comparing children and adults within the same families or ethnic groups.

Another opportunity will come—paradoxically—from the lockdown politics. In no other period of the recent history, children have been forcedly restricted to their houses, with closure of schools, and strong limitations of social and sport activities. A significant decrease of many (other than-COVID-19) infectious diseases has been observed in March in Italian children. In this setting, a reconsideration of many (common) problems of pediatric practice, from chronic cough to unexplained fever will be possible, withdrawing the bias of common infections (typically spreading in schools): many pediatricians could have the possibility to re-diagnose chronic cough as caused by gastro-esophageal reflux, in-house allergens, respiratory tract malformations, and other non-infective causes; others could have a higher chance of investigating recurrent febrile episodes as caused by genetic, autoimmune, or oncologic disorders.

KTM BIKE

The KTM 125 DUKE may be the entry-level bike of the range, but it isn’t here to play games. It’s built with the same attitude as the bigger bikes – and it shows. It’s no holds barred with this urban warrior. This 4-stroke single cylinder has fuel-injection and a 6-speed transmission to deliver class-leading performance with low fuel consumption to keep you riding longer.

The KTM 125 Duke is powered by 124.71cc BS6 engine which develops a power of 14.3 bhp and a torque of 12 Nm. With both front and rear disc brakes, KTM 125 Duke comes up with anti-locking braking system. This 125 Duke bike weighs 159 kg and has a fuel tank capacity of 13.5 liters.

The 125 Duke is the baby of the Duke lineup. It exists because of the licensing laws in markets like the European Union, which allow 125cc motorcycles to be ridden with a car driver’s licence.

It shares everything with its bigger siblings, which means great cycle parts. They include a trellis frame, upside-down front forks, a radially mounted front brake calliper with four opposed pistons, a six-speed gearbox, and an all-digital instrument cluster that shows a lot of information. The 125 Duke also gets a single-channel ABS system, which makes the first product in the country under 125cc to offer an ABS system instead of a linked braking system.

Mechanical specifications include a BS6-compliant, 199cc, single-cylinder engine that produces 14.3bhp and 12Nm of torque; same as the BS4 model. Apart from this, the motorcycle gets the same styling as the current-gen 200 Duke.

KTM is offering the 125 Duke in a choice of two dual-tone colors – white and black along with orange and white. In terms of competition, the KTM 125 Duke competes against the MT-15 in the country.

While the bike does feel light and easy, a lower weight figure would have helped performance. KTM has equipped the 125 with single-channel ABS on the same 300mm and 230mm discs as the 200 Duke. While the brake bite and lever pressure is good, it lacks the force we would have liked under hard braking.

Kali Linux Features

What is Kali Linux, and what is a Penetration Testing Distribution?

What is a penetration testing distribution? As legend tells it, years ago there was a penetration test in an isolated environment where the assessment team was not able to bring in any computers or have network access in or out of the target environment. In order to do the work, the first penetration testing distribution was born. It was a bootable Live CD configured with various tools needed to do the work, and after the assessment was completed the Live CD was shared online and became very popular.

Kali Linux has a direct lineage from this original distribution, running on through Backtrack Linux, and now is Kali Linux.

What are the makings of a great penetration testing distribution? What a penetration testing distribution is judged on has changed over the years. Originally it was just how many tools did it hold. TEAM VIEWER

TeamViewer is remote access and remote control computer software, allowing maintenance of computers and other devices. It was first released in 2005,  and its functionality has expanded step by step. TeamViewer is proprietary software, but does not require registration and is free of charge for non-commercial use. It has been installed on more than two billion devices. TeamViewer is the core product of developer TeamViewer AG.

Rossmanith GmbH released the first version of TeamViewer software in 2005, at that time still based on the VNC project. The IT service provider wanted to avoid unnecessary trips to customers and perform tasks such as installing software remotely. The development was very successful and gave rise to TeamViewer GmbH, which today operates as TeamViewer Germany GmbH and is part of TeamViewer AG.

TeamViewer is available for all desktop computers with common operating systems, including Microsoft Windows and Windows Server, as well as Apple’s macOS. There are also packages for several Linux distributions and derivatives, for example, Debian, Ubuntu, Red Hat, and Fedora Linux. Besides, there is Raspberry Pi OS, a Debian variant for the Raspberry Pi.

TeamViewer is also available for smartphones and tablets running Android or Apple’s iOS/iPad OS operating system. Support for Windows Phone and Windows Mobile has been phased out after Microsoft discontinued support for the two operating systems.

The functionality of TeamViewer differs depending on the device and variant or version of the software. The core of TeamViewer is remote access to computers and other endpoints as well as their control and maintenance. After the connection is established, the remote screen is visible to the user at the other endpoint. Both endpoints can send and receive files as well as access a shared clipboard, for example. Besides, some functions facilitate team collaboration, such as audio and video transmissions via IP telephony.

In recent years, the functionality of the software has been optimized in particular for use in large companies. For this purpose, the enterprise variant TeamViewer Tensor was developed. With TeamViewer Pilot, TeamViewer sells software for remote support with augmented reality elements. TeamViewer offers interfaces to other applications and services, for example from Microsoft(Teams), Salesforce, and ServiceNow. The solution is available in nearly all countries and supports over 30 languages.

Incoming and outgoing connections are equally possible via the Internet or local networks. If desired, TeamViewer can run as a Windows system service, which allows unattended access via TeamViewer. There is also a portable version of the software that runs completely without installation, for example via a USB data carrier.

The connection is established using automatically generated unique IDs and passwords. Before each connection, the TeamViewer network servers check the validity of the IDs of both endpoints. Security is enhanced by the fingerprint, which allows users to provide additional proof of the remote device’s identity. Passwords are protected against brute force attacks, especially by increasing the waiting time between connection attempts exponentially. TeamViewer provides additional security features, such as two-factor authentication, block and allow lists.

Ashoka- The Great Emperor

Ashoka, also known as, Ashoka the Great (r. 268-232 BCE) was the third king of the Mauryan Empire (322-185 BCE) best known for his renunciation of war, development of the concept of dhamma (pious social conduct), and promotion of Buddhism as well as his effective reign of a nearly pan-Indian political entity. At its height, under Ashoka, the Mauryan Empire stretched from modern-day Iran through almost the entirety of the Indian subcontinent. Ashoka was able to rule this vast empire initially through the precepts of the political treatise known as the Arthashastra, attributed to the Prime Minister Chanakya (also known as Kautilya and Vishnugupta, l. c. 350-275 BCE) who served under Ashoka’s grandfather Chandragupta (r. c. 321-c.297 BCE) who founded the empire.

Ashoka means “without sorrow” which was most likely his given name. He is referred to in his edicts, carved in stone, as Devanampiya Piyadassi which, according to scholar John Keay (and agreed upon by scholarly consensus) means “Beloved of the Gods” and “gracious of mien” (89). He is said to have been particularly ruthless early in his reign until he launched a campaign against the Kingdom of Kalinga in c. 260 BCE which resulted in such carnage, destruction, and death that Ashoka renounced war and, in time, converted to Buddhism, devoting himself to peace as exemplified in his concept of dhamma. Most of what is known of him, outside of his edicts, comes from Buddhist texts which treat him as a model of conversion and virtuous behavior.

The empire he and his family built did not last even 50 years after his death. Although he was the greatest of the kings of one of the largest and most powerful empires in antiquity, his name was lost to history until he was identified by the British scholar and orientalist James Prinsep (l. 1799-1840 CE) in 1837 CE. Since then, Ashoka has come to be recognized as one of the most fascinating ancient monarchs for his decision to renounce war, his insistence on religious tolerance, and his peaceful efforts in establishing Buddhism as a major world religion.

Although Ashoka’s name appears in the Puranas (encyclopedic literature of India dealing with kings, heroes, legends, and gods), no information on his life is given there. The details of his youth, rise to power, and renunciation of violence following the Kalinga campaign come from Buddhist sources which are considered, in many respects, more legendary than historical.

The Great Work by Ashoka

The Lion Capital of Ashoka is a sculpture of four Asiatic lions standing back to back, on an elaborate base that includes other animals. A graphic representation of it was adopted as the official Emblem of India in 1950. It was originally placed on the top of the Ashoka pillar at the important Buddhist site of Sarnath by the Emperor Ashoka, in about 250 BCE during his rule over the Maurya Empire. The pillar, sometimes called the Aśoka Column, is still in its original location, but the Lion Capital is now in the Sarnath Museum, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India. Standing 2.15 metres (7 feet) high including the base, it is more elaborate than the other very similar surviving capitals of the pillars of Ashoka bearing the Edicts of Ashoka that were placed throughout India several of which feature single animals at the top; one other damaged group of four lions survives, at Sanchi.

The Ashoka Chakra is a depiction of the Dharma Chakra; a wheel represented with 24 spokes in Buddhism. It is so called because it appears on a number of edicts of Ashoka, most prominent among which is the Lion Capital of Ashoka. The most visible use of the Ashoka Chakra today is at the centre of the Flag of India (adopted on 24 July 1947), where it is rendered in a navy blue colour on a white background, replacing the symbol of charkha (spinning wheel) of the pre-independence versions of the flag.

The Ashoka Pillars are among the earliest known stone sculptural remains from India. Only another pillar fragment, the Pataliputra capital, is possibly from a slightly earlier date. It is thought that before the 3rd century BCE, wood rather than stone was used as the main material for Indian architectural constructions, and that stone may have been adopted following interaction with the Persians and the Greeks. A graphic representation of the Lion Capital of Ashoka from the column there was adopted as the official Emblem of India in 1950. All the Ashoka Pillars were built at Buddhist monasteries, many important sites from the life of the Buddha and places of pilgrimage. Some of the columns carry inscriptions addressed to the monks and nuns. Some were erected to commemorate visits by Ashoka. Major pillars are present in the Indian States of Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and some parts of Haryana.

Why having an organized desk is the best?

I know everyone has a different work style. Some people like their desks clean whereas, some others like their desks messy. But what if I tell you that having an organized desk makes you more efficient, productive, motivated and consistent.

Mark Zuckerberg, Steve Jobs, E.B White, Craig Newmark and much more eminent personalities had organized desks. And some way or the other their organized desks help them to achieve whatever they achieved in life.

Having an organized desk has its advantages-

  1. Those who have an organized desk tend to be more focused than the ones who have a cluttered desk.
  2. People having cluttered desks are more prone to get sick because of the lack of cleaning of the desk.
  3. A study showed having a clean desk decreases the urge to leave the desk and take a break.
  4. Consistency and Productivity are seen to increase in people who changed their cluttered desks to organized desks.
  5. Also, people having organized desks make you sleep faster at night.

Adding on you will not misplace your things frequently if you have an organised desk.

How to make your desk organised?

  1. Place a Junk box, this will help you segregate unwanted things from the important stuff.
  2. Place boxes or storage units to store your stationery, notebooks and other essential things in a designated box.
  3. Place a pen stand to keep your pens, sketch pens, highlighters in one place.
  4. Place a table clock on the desk it will help you to keep track of the time.
  5. Also do not keep everything on your desk, your desk is not a storage unit keep only the necessary things on the worktop.
  6. Clean your desk daily.

A clean workspace will surely help you to be more productive, consistent, focused and disciplined.

Why is Reading so important?

When we can watch the movie, listen to the audiobook, or watch a YouTube video synopsis instead, it can be difficult to convince ourselves to read a 382-page book.

Am I correct?

You’re missing out if the majority of your daily reading consists of social media posts, text messages, and news headlines. So, what are some of the advantages of reading books?

Boosts your imagination and creativity.

Reading can help you extend your creative muscles if you’re ever stuck. Reading a book, particularly fiction, enhances your creativity. You become an active participant in the activity when your mind creates a picture of what you’re reading. At least one study backs up this claim. A questionnaire was given to 100 people after they read either a fictitious story or a nonfiction piece. The fiction readers’ responses were more imaginative than the essay readers’.

Enhances concentration

If you’re still not convinced or convinced that reading is necessary, or that it isn’t beneficial to you, it’s crucial to remember that reading actually improves focus. Reading may teach our minds to focus correctly, which is beneficial in practically everything we do on a daily basis from studying to working and maintaining personal relationships. We may all benefit from improving our ability to concentrate.

Reading helps us to break free from the constant state of ‘multitasking.’ It permits us to concentrate entirely on one task at a time and be fully present in it.

Improve vocabulary

Stanovich discovered that passionate readers have a 50 percent bigger vocabulary in the same studies. This is due to the fact that the more you read, the more unfamiliar words you encounter. You can learn the meanings through context or by looking them up, and your vocabulary will grow over time. Learning new phrases is beneficial to your mental health.

Increases your empathy

Empathy is the ability to comprehend and sympathize with others, even if we disagree with them on a particular issue. While some people are born with a lot of empathy, the majority of us could use a little more. Reading can be beneficial. Members of a group read a variety of genres in 2013, including literary fiction, popular fiction, and nonfiction. A control group did not get any information. Researchers discovered that participants who read literary fiction were better at recognizing facial expressions and estimating how the characters in their books would respond during the experiment. This is due to the fact that characters in literary literature are often multifaceted. Readers must be more attentive and empathic.

Create a Feeling of Belonging

A book might also be your best buddy if you are ever feeling lonely or lost. It may sound stupid, but it is absolutely true, and there is nothing to be ashamed about. We’ve all been there, and we could all use some comfort and a nice book.Reading can give us a sense of belonging, give us hope through difficult times, and remind us that we are not alone. Reading about people who have faced similar difficulties and overcame them may be a real source of motivation. If they can do it, you can do it, too! A good book can sometimes be just what we need to keep going.

Is a great Conversation starter

Reading is beneficial not only to the soul and mind, but it also serves as an excellent conversation starter. Reading exposes you to a wealth of new information and allows you to connect with people from all over the world. If two people have read the same book, it will always bring them together, regardless of where they are from. You never know when a book you’ve just finished will come in helpful in a conversation. Perhaps it will help you land the job in an interview, or perhaps it will help you get closer to a romantic partner you’ve been eyeing.

Enhances emotional well-being

Emotions abound in books. With each page turn, they will make you cry at times, and at other moments, they will make you smile. It can make you angry when the story’s opponent succeeds in his terrible scheme, but it can also make you happy when your hero accomplishes his aim. Books have the power to make us happy, sad, envious, loved, betrayed, and many other emotions! Books are thus a mash-up of various conflicting feelings that, in the end, help us grow emotionally!

Improves Communication Capabilities

A key life skill is the capacity to communicate effectively.According to one research, 69 percent of companies prefer to hire persons who have “soft” talents like excellent communication. What’s the good news? One of the most important advantages of reading is that it improves our communication skills. How? Reading every day can help us communicate better in a variety of ways. Reading, for example, can improve your writing skills and expand your vocabulary.

Assist You in De-Stressing

In our busy and chaotic lives, many of us have a lot of things that stress us out, and we’re often seeking for fresh, concrete ways to deal with these worries. Reading, believe it or not, can genuinely help you relax. It’s not always necessary to spend a lot of money on professionals and programs to create a sense of peace; sometimes a simple book can suffice. Reading is an excellent method to unwind and soothe those tense nerves that plague you at work.

In fact, a recent study indicated that just six minutes of reading was enough to reduce muscular tension and bring down readers’ heart rates.Overall, it resulted in a 68 percent reduction in stress levels.

Enhances your writing abilities

If you’re at all interested in the craft of writing, you’re aware that some of the best authors advise extensive reading. You grow more familiar with structure, character development, and literary styles as you read more. This is true for both fiction and nonfiction. Even if you don’t need to write much in your daily life, reading prepares you for any eventuality, whether it’s a Christmas card, an email, a personal blog, or a diary post.

Overall, reading every day increases your chances of retaining your mental faculties and living longer!

Unemployment

Unemployment, according to the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development), is persons above a specified age (usually 15)not being in paid employment or self-employment but currently available for work during the reference period.

Unemployment rate, 2017
Unemployment is measured by the unemployment rate, which is the number of people who are unemployed as a percentage of the labour force (the total number of people employed added to those unemployed).

Unemployment can have many sources, such as the following:

new technologies and inventions
the status of the economy, which can be influenced by a recession
competition caused by globalization and international trade
policies of the government
regulation and market
Unemployment and the status of the economy can be influenced by a country through, for example, fiscal policy. Furthermore, the monetary authority of a country, such as the central bank, can influence the availability and cost for money through its monetary policy.

In addition to theories of unemployment, a few categorisations of unemployment are used for more precisely modelling the effects of unemployment within the economic system. Some of the main types of unemployment include structural unemployment, frictional unemployment, cyclical unemployment, involuntary unemployment and classical unemployment. Structural unemployment focuses on foundational problems in the economy and inefficiencies inherent in labor markets, including a mismatch between the supply and demand of laborers with necessary skill sets. Structural arguments emphasize causes and solutions related to disruptive technologies and globalization. Discussions of frictional unemployment focus on voluntary decisions to work based on individuals’ valuation of their own work and how that compares to current wage rates added to the time and effort required to find a job. Causes and solutions for frictional unemployment often address job entry threshold and wage rates.

According to the UN’s International Labour Organization (ILO), there were 172 million people worldwide (or 5% of the reported global workforce) without work in 2018.

Because of the difficulty in measuring the unemployment rate by, for example, using surveys (as in the United States) or through registered unemployed citizens (as in some European countries), statistical figures such as the employment-to-population ratio might be more suitable for evaluating the status of the workforce and the economy if they were based on people who are registered, for example, as taxpayers.

RIGHT TO DIE

“There is a certain right by which we may deprive a man of life, but none by which we may
deprive him of death; that is mere cruelty” -Anonymous
Every person is entitled with the right to live with dignity. This is a fundamental right
embedded in our Constitution itself. Everyone wants to live as many years as they can and meet death at a ripe old age. But sometimes the pain and suffering of a person is so prolonged that death seem an easier option to the patient and to the observer as well. The person seems to be living a facade of life.

Here arises a new concept of right to die or passive EUTHANASIA. Under this the person is granted the right to die to end his/her plight. If a person has been in a vegetative state for 40-50 years, it seems better to end his/her pain and transverse the respective person to the afterlife.

The government has always been in denial of this right until last year. The Supreme Court granted this right in the “Aruna Shanbaug” case.
In 1973, while working as a junior nurse at a hospital in Mumbai, Aruna Shanbaug was sexually assaulted by a ward boy and remained in a vegetative state following the assault. On 24 January 2011, after she had been in this state for 37 years, the Supreme Court of India responded to the plea for euthanasia filed by journalist Pinki Virani. In its landmark judgement, The honourable SC allowed passive euthanasia in India. The judgement gave a robust interpretation of ‘Right to life’ including ‘Right to Die’ thereby bringing it within manifold of article 21 of constitution of India.

Under passive euthanasia or ‘mercy killing’ the life support system is withdrawn from the patient leading to peaceful death. It is carried out only after the consent of the patient or from the doctor/relatives if the former is not able to express his/her wishes. However, it should not be confused with murder as it is carried out only after the consent of the concerned authorities as well as after observing the plight of the patient.

In recent years ‘living will’ has emerged as a solution in cases when the authorities have been reluctant to grant this particular right. A living will is a written statement detailing a person’s desires in advance regarding future medical treatment in circumstances in which they are unable to give informed consent, especially an advanced directive. Unfortunately, only 27% of the population are aware of this and out of that surprisingly only 6% have a living will.

Euthanasia is a dilemma due to the presence of more than one course of conduct on various grounds. Some people describe it as cruel, irrational and harrowing for the person and the family. They say Euthanasia is not a valid treatment option but represents failure on the part of doctor involved in the person’s care. However, the other party says that right to life doesn’t simple exist as a right but also involves ‘right to live with dignity’.
If a person is not able to maintain the basic standards of dignity due to reason of prolonged illness/ vegetative condition, he/she should be put out of his/her misery.
In a nut shell it is still a subjective matter. Death is resented because it brings an end to the life of someone, we care about but what we must never forget that it also brings an end to the pain and suffering. As people have a right to life, they should also have the right to death.

Euthanasia is seen as a way to let people have a good death, at the time of their own choosing and will make them happier than the pain of their illness. But there is no way we can measure happiness objectively. The right to life gives a person the right not to be killed if they don’t want to be. Hence, I leave this as an open-ended piece and urge the readers to contemplate about what could be the right course of action.

Hashtags and Mobilization

Movements are part of changing society and changing holocaust. Social movements have a structure which makes them functional relative to their goals. Activism is action on behalf of a cause, action that goes beyond what is conventional or routine activity. The central theme is to resist authority. The kind of reformation that is taking place through movements is shaking the base root of patriarchy. The patriarchal belief system is constantly negotiating the need of revolution. The action might be door-to-door canvassing, alternative radio, public meetings, rallies, or fasting. The cause of the activism will vary according the type of protests. The cause might be women’s rights, gender equality, opposition to a factory, world peace and so forth. Activism has played a major role in ending slavery, challenging dictatorships, protecting workers from exploitation, protecting the environment, promoting equality for women, opposing racism, and many other important issues. Activism can also be used for aims such as attacking minorities or promoting war.The main purpose of movements is to raise a sought of awareness and to engage the people in deliberation. It makes the people politically aware of the situation and hitherto experiences. The perpetrators of activism are called
‘activists’.

A major protest that happened in India was the ‘Nirbhaya’ movement. In December 2012, New Delhi witnessed a horrific crime– a student was violently gang-raped on a moving bus and then dumped onto the highway, injured and unconscious. While she didn‟t survive the attack, Nirbhaya, as she was named by the media, sparked a revolution in India and its neighboring countries. Social movements always stand by the side of marginalized. The Naxalite movements in India exemplify this. The Naxalite movement helps the downtrodden indigenous people to acquire their needs. It is a small group devoted to the left liberal activism.

The Internet helps in coordinating and creating platforms of discussion inside movements. The internet has given rise to social media and the social media in turn gave rise to hashtags and mobilization is an essential part of the movement. Social mobilization is directed towards social change. The Kerala floods were not greatly acknowledged by the national media. But with the influence of Facebook and twitter it crossed the regional differences and help was provided by various people residing outside the state. It is the ordinary people who harnessed social media and their own resources to play a role in relief and rescue efforts. Hashtags such as #KeralaFloods #Verified became trending within hours and helped to grab the attention of the whole world.

Movements are context based and it is up to the people to decide whether it should sustain or not. In today’s world there are both online and offline movements and both of them have their own merits and demerits. A protest that begins in the internet transforms into an offline movement and vice versa.

The Untold Story of The Easter Island

The Easter Island lies in the Pacific Ocean and is around 4000 km away from the mainland. A Dutch explorer named Jacob Roggeveen rediscovered Easter Island in 1722 and it was nothing but a large wasteland.

The Island was destroyed and there was not much vegetation or other creatures present.
Research excavations found that Polynesian people were the first ones to arrive at Easter Island and start their settlement there. When these Polynesian people arrived at Easter Island the natural resources and food were abundant. With an abundance of food and natural resources, their population started increasing. Soon there was a time when the population outgrew the food and natural resources availability.

On the island, large statues of moais were also seen. They built a lot of structural figures of their ancestors. Which also caused overutilization of the existing natural resources. They cut down almost all the trees present on that island and disrupted the whole ecosystem.

They exploited the existing ecosystem to that level that there came a time that they do not have anything to eat and the food scarcity was at its peak. There was no vegetation, fishes, animals, insects or birds for them to eat because of the large-scale man-made destruction which took place.

With population rising high they had no choice but to adopt cannibalism and the excavations which took place there prove that when there was no natural resource available at the Eater Islands the Polynesians adopted the cannibalism lifestyle which is eating their own species because there was no choice.
In the end, the whole island was collapsed and when after so many years the Dutch explorers arrived, they found dead bodies and remains of human civilization.

Till today many theories have been stated about Easter Island but it is still a mystery what really happened at that place.
But the most famous one is the destruction theory according to which the way they destroyed the environment over the years was the cause of their degradation and dying at the end.

The theory also suggests how we humans are destructing the environment and this destruction may get backfired on us in the end.

TRAVAILS OF LOVE

To a significant extent, the difficulties of same-sex love have been a matter of discussion. The horrors perpetrated against these people are numerous and terrible, ranging from bullying to harassment. Promiscuity (indiscriminate sexual partner selection) has been a fundamentally ethical education in and of itself. In so-called “ethical education,” being who you have no place. Even if there are numerous unsolved concerns, the law is unconcerned about them. In the eyes of the law, people’s particular identities are irrelevant. In the case of homosexuals, one partner is nothing more than a friend of the other in the eyes of the law. Following a flurry of rages and discussions, the Indian Supreme Court approved same-sex marriage. It is the culmination of two decades of unrelenting battles. Thousands of people gather every year in February to celebrate LGBTQ pride by rallying on the streets and hope for society to accept them in every state of India. The LGBTQ community is plagued by a slew of issues. The primary issue is getting people outside the community to accept you.

Lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender individuals, queers, intersex, and asexuals are all part of the LGBTQIA community. A lesbian is a woman who is attracted to another woman; a gay is a man who is attracted to another man; a bisexual is a person who is attracted to more than one gender; a transgender is a person whose gender identity differs from the sexual identity assigned to them at birth; Queers are gender minorities who are not heterosexual or cisgender. Intersex refers to a group of circumstances in which a person is born with reproductive or sexual anatomy that does not appear to fit the traditional classifications of female and male. Asexual refers to a person who has no sexual desires or sensations. Because the word “queer” denotes “weird,” “odd,” or “funny,” it relates to the degrading of that particular community. It reflects society’s obnoxious and patriarchal attitude toward the LGBT community. The LGBTQ community has been constantly scrutinized by the outside world. We live in a world where LGBTQ persons are reluctant to tell their parents about their sexual orientation. Every year, a large number of LGBT persons confront significant challenges such as assault, unemployment, prejudice, poverty, and a lack of access to health care. This is due to the discriminatory behavior of society, which instills the people’s mentality. Many people still have no idea what LGBTQ is or what it stands for. Even if a large number of people are educated, others remain illiterates in this subject, despite their acceptance. ‘Gay abandon’ is a relatively common occurrence.

Homosexuality was once considered a felony in India, thanks to Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code. Section 377 refers to ‘unnatural offenses,’ and states that anybody who voluntarily engages in sexual intercourse against the order of nature with any man, woman, or animal shall be punished with life imprisonment or imprisonment of either sort for a term up to ten years, as well as a fine. This exemplifies the morality enshrined in India’s constitution.

Top 5 of the Best-Selling Authors of All Time

For this rundown, the topic of what considers a “creator” becomes the overwhelming focus. Both Stephen King and J.K. Rowling have composed under pen names (Bachman and Robert Galbraith, individually) and both were outed. While it appears to be sensible to check books composed under those aliases their particular writer’s aggregates, a few circumstances are not all that straightforward. The eighteenth-century work A General History of the Pyrates (a critical hotspot for data about the Golden Age of robbery), for instance, is credited to one Captain Charles Johnson. Nonetheless, antiquarians have always been unable to discover proof of a Captain Charles Johnson, so in 1932 one researcher concluded that it was composed by Daniel Defoe—and thus the book is currently much of the time recorded as one of his works. In the previous few decades, however, that attribution has been questioned for a writer named Nathaniel Mist. All in all, should this blockbuster’s numbers be credited to Defoe, Mist, or left off the rundown altogether?

Antiquarians are likewise progressively guessing that Shakespeare wasn’t the sole writer of large numbers of his plays—as per The New Oxford Shakespeare, “His last three plays were all co-composed with [John] Fletcher—who, in every one of the three, appears to have composed a greater amount of the enduring content than Shakespeare.” How at that point to manage Shakespeare? Should his works be divvied up? Or on the other hand, should an indicator be set on the record? These inquiries can get into a shockingly profound philosophical area.

With those admonitions far removed—and the further proviso that this rundown does exclude strict works, and is, with a couple of special cases, directing away from writers who showed up on the top-rated books show; it’s likewise not complete, thorough, or a “main ten” list—here are a few contenders for the top of the line writers ever.

DR. SEUSS // SOMEWHERE BETWEEN 100 AND 650 MILLION

In 2001, Publishers Weekly did an overview to decide the smash hit kids’ books. Theodor “Dr. Seuss” Geisel wouldn’t enter the rundown until number 4 with Green Eggs and Ham at 8 million, yet he had six of the best 20. These days, The Washington Post says that Dr. Seuss has sold 650 million duplicates in 95 nations, with Green Eggs Ham actually driving the path at 17.5 million duplicates sold.

CORÍN TELLADO // POSSIBLY AROUND 400 MILLION

As per her tribute in The Guardian, some mistakenly accept that Corín Tellado was a distributing house as opposed to an individual. Similar to Barbara Cartland, Tellado composed heartfelt books, yet much more—gauges put her all outnumber of books at somewhere in the range of 4000 to 5000 over a 63-year vocation; she is supposed to be the smash-hit writer throughout the entire existence of the Spanish language, and comparable to Miguel de Cervantes for readership. To act as an illustration of the number of books she could create, she worked a portion of her vocation during the fascism of Francisco Franco, when specialists would vigorously blue pencil her books and send them back; The Times of London reports, “In certain months upwards of four of her novellas may be dismissed by the system’s edits.”

BARBARA CARTLAND // POSSIBLY OVER 600 MILLION

Romance writer Barbara Cartland delineates the inborn contrast between smash hit writers and top-rated books. Sources vary, yet it’s, for the most part, concurred she composed around 723 books (more than 600 of which were books) with gauges for her all-out deals going from 600 million to a billion books. Doing some division shows that each book may have sold just a touch over 1,000,000 duplicates, however, her sheer yield—she’s said to have, on occasion, composed 20 books per year—makes her a smash hit writer.

AGATHA CHRISTIE // ESTIMATED 2 BILLION BOOKS SOLD

As per Guinness World Records, Agatha Christie has the title of “world’s best-selling fiction writer,” with assessed deals of more than 2 billion. UNESCO additionally records Christie as the most deciphered creator ever.

MAO ZEDONG // UNTOLD BILLIONS

Mao Zedong shows up on our smash hit books list for Quotations from Chairman Mao Zedong, yet he’d probably still be on the rundown even without Quotations. As indicated by social scientist Zhengyuan Fu, “The size of the creation and utilization of Mao’s symbols and images is extraordinary in mankind’s set of experiences. During the long time from March 1966 to August 1976, there were 1,820 … state-possessed printing industrial facilities that printed 6.5 billion volumes of Quotations from Chairman Mao (the little red book), 840 million arrangements of Selections of Mao Zedong’s Works (3.36 billion volumes), 400 million volumes of Chairman Mao’s Poems, and 2.2 billion sheets of Mao’s standard photograph representations, which came in five standard sizes.” As consistently when managing these sort of numbers, a few sources go more modest, yet the complete is unquestionably colossal.

How to be a Full Stack Developer?

Before getting into the topic, “how to become a full stack Java developer?” or “how to become a full stack Python developer?”, we learn what is Full Stack development. We are living in a virtual world. We are solving every problem in this virtual world with the help of softwares like some solution. This software contains multiple layers. We have Presentation layer, Business layer and Database layer. The presentation layer is something where the user interacts. For example, if we are going to hariyali.in, we are accessing the front page of the website. That is the presentation layer. We can also say app here instead of website. If we are going to WordPress app, the page that comes first is the presentation layer. Then we are writing an article/a blog and then publishing it or saving it as a draft. All these processing part runs in the server which contains the business logic. As our requirements change, the business logic will also change. And then we have a database layer where we will put our data. The data that we put in should be stored somewhere. That’s why we have a database layer. Now a question arises. If we want to build this application, what are the technologies should we learn?

If we talk about industry, for different layers we have different professionals to work with it. We have experts in presentation layer. We have experts in business layer. As well we have experts in database layer. A Java developer basically works with the business layer. Now a question may arise. Why not presentation layer? Presentation layer can be done by people who are creative. Because he/she must provide the users a good looking UI with a good UX and to build a good UI with good UX, he/she needs creativity. He/she must understand the users; and colour mapping as well. A presentation layer expert must know HTML, CSS, JavaScript. Those are the technologies used in front end. One can also use Angular, React. A business layer expert must know PHP, Java, C sharp, Python. Nowadays JavaScript is also used in business layer. For Database layer, we need experts with knowledge in Oracle, MySql and  NoSql.

MongoDB, ExpressJS, AngularJS and nodeJS are the MEAN stack used. With the help of stack we can build the entire software. What is Stack? Stack simply means one over the other. We have the Presentation layer which communicates with the Business layer which communicates with the Database layer. All these can be done using Stack.

We have seen that there are experts working with every layer. But nowadays there are companies that position a full stack developer. From sta rt to end, everything will be done by him.
The advantages of having a full stack developer:

  • There is no communication gap between teams.
  • The full stack developer is the Jack of all technologies.

But there is also a drawback of having a full stack developer. He is the Jack of all technologies but master of none. But that’s fine. Working on more projects and spending more time with technologies make him trained.

If you want to be a full stack developer, learn front end(Presentation layer) then get into technologies used in business layer and then into database layer. The thing that differs for a full stack Java developer and a full stack Python developer is the business layer. For a full stack Java developer, the business layer will be of Java. For a full stack Python developer, the business layer will be of Python. Just stick to one technology (language) and upgrade on that. You don’t need to learn every language. All the best.

Voting rights

Suffrage, political franchise, or simply franchise is the right to vote in public, political elections (although the term is sometimes used for any right to vote). In some languages, and occasionally in English, the right to vote is called active suffrage, as distinct from passive suffrage, which is the right to stand for election.

Suffrage universel dédié à Ledru-Rollin, Frédéric Sorrieu, 1850
Suffrage is often conceived in terms of elections for representatives. However, suffrage applies equally to referendums.

In most democracies, eligible voters can vote in elections of representatives. Voting on issues by referendum may also be available. For example, in Switzerland this is permitted at all levels of government. In the United States, some states such as California, Washington, and Wisconsin have exercised their shared sovereignty to offer citizens the opportunity to write, propose, and vote on referendums; other states and the federal government have not. Referendums in the United Kingdom are rare.

Suffrage is granted to qualifying citizens once they have reached the voting age. What constitutes a qualifying citizen depends on the government’s decision. Resident non-citizens can vote in some countries, which may be restricted to citizens of closely linked countries (e.g., Commonwealth citizens and European Union citizens) or to certain offices or questions.

They gain a broad understanding of computer languages, allowing them to write the code that runs websites, video games, software programs, and other applications.

Architect for Computer Networks

Professionals who design, develop, implement, and maintain networking and data transmission systems are known as computer network architects. Local area networks, wide area networks, extranets, and intranets are all examples of this. Additionally, they are in charge of both software (such as network drivers) and hardware upgrades (like adapters and routers). Computer Network Architects typically collaborate with the company’s CTO (Chief Technology Officer) to forecast where new networks are most needed.

Developer (Full Stack)

Programming and coding are the primary responsibilities of Full Stack Developers. They design and build websites according to client specifications and requests while sticking to conventional HTML/CSS techniques. They must also keep track of the necessary software documentation. The Best Songs of 2021 So Far

The best melodies of the year so far have come from rookies and veterans the same. They start from one side of the planet to the other: South Africa, Puerto Rico, Los Angeles. One is intended to be pretty much as short as could be expected; another stretches on for almost eight minutes. From Arooj Aftab’s joyful and wrapping “Mohabbat” to a melody that could fill in as Lana Del Rey’s statement of purpose, here are the tracks we will have on rehash for quite a long time to come.

“Up”, Cardi B

There’s not a lot on “Up” that we haven’t heard from Cardi B previously, and that totally doesn’t make any difference. The no. 1 single—Cardi’s fifth such diagram clincher—plays to every last bit of her qualities: tongue-contorting similar sounding word usage; a brief beat that will wreck your subwoofer; shamelessly lustful symbolism bound to soundtrack innumerable TikTok recordings of smoldering mothers. (The melody has been sent in more than 3 million TikTok recordings as of now—and furthermore brought about quite possibly the most superb image difficulties this year.) “Large pack bussin’ out the Bentley Bentayga/Man, Balenciaga Bardi back and this load of bitches f-cked,” Cardi barks. Simply one more day at the workplace for hip-bounce’s top provocateur. — Andrew R. Chow.

“Good 4 U”, Olivia Rodrigo

Olivia Rodrigo began her rising to fame tenderly, with the nostalgic heart-pull of “Drivers License” and the pungent bitterness of “History repeating itself.” But “Great 4 U,” the third delivery off of the existing apart from everything else Disney entertainer’s presentation collection Sour, shows that she’s no saccharine pop princess. Ladylike displeasure has an unpredictable spot in music; frantic ladies aren’t constantly offered space to communicate the expansiveness of their feelings. Fortunately, Rodrigo isn’t stressed over that. With pop-punk power, she sing-talks her direction through a tune that is proudly severe and angry, with a guitar-driven theme that simply requests a soothing singalong. It may not be the tune that pushes her vocation higher than ever—she’s as of now got “Drivers License” for that—however, it may very well be the one to which an age goes to vent some dissatisfaction. — Raisa Bruner.

“Mohabbat”, Arooj Aftab

The Pakistan-conceived, Brooklyn-based author has acquired basic praise for her scrutinizing collection Vulture Prince, which pulls from melodic practices from across the world. The undertaking’s champion is “Mohabbat,” which was adjusted from a nineteenth-century Urdu tune sonnet while additionally flawlessly using vocal jazz methods and a delicate guitar drone suggestive of Led Zeppelin’s “Going to California.” Despite the tune’s 7:42 runtime, nary an expression feels over the top or unnecessary; Aftab’s trembling vocals make and resolve a tightrope strain, offering a euphoric and encompassing break from the year’s tumult. — A.R.C.

“Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”, Lil Nas X

The solitary issue with Lil Nas X’s most recent contribution to the graph divine beings? It’s basically excessively short. “Montero” is determined and unyielding, a far-fetched hand-applaud beat, licks of Spanish guitar, and a repeating murmured tune flicking at both flamenco and Gregorian serenades. That is purposeful; in its contention teasing music video, Lil Nas X uses strict iconography to follow a background marked by LGBTQ abuse. In any case, “Montero,” simply as a melody, is an irresistible festival of want: “Call me when you need, call me when you need, call me out by your name, I’ll be coming.” It’s an incredible, freed message from a youthful star who rose to stratospheric statures with “Old Town Road,” and is currently deciding to demonstrate he has considerably more to say as a craftsman. — R.B.

“Pin Pin”, Myke Towers

Like the megahits “Hips Don’t Lie” and “I Like It” before it, “Pin” vigorously depends on an immaculate example from the salsa containers. This time, it’s Tommy Olivencia y Su Orquesta’s cheerful “Periquito Pin.” Towers give a lot of space for the example to inhale—in any event, yelling out Olivencia in the subsequent section—while deftly adding his luxurious blast bap rap rhythms. The tune—just as the general collection Lyke Myke—offers undeniable confirmation concerning why Towers is one of the quickest rising stars to emerge from Puerto Rico and Latin America on the loose. — A.R.C.

“Not All Who Wander Are Lost” Lana Del Rey

At the point when she made her standard introduction in 2011 with “Computer games,” Lana Del Rey set forward an unmistakable craftsman persona: the lost princess of West Coast Americana, a longshot character following the breeze starting with one low-lease town then onto the next, one dangerous man to another. More than six collections, she has not veered a long way from this course, even as she’s tried different things with pop components and idyllic suggestions. “Not All Who Wander Are Lost,” a mid-collection track of her most recent contribution Chemtrails Over the Country Club, could fill in as a sort of statement of purpose of her unique imaginative undertaking. “I’ve been wearing similar damn garments for three damn days/Lincoln, Nebraska has me in a murkiness/The thing about men like you is you have a ton to say, yet will you stay?” It’s a prosecution and a romanticization of the existence of hunger for new experiences she has encapsulated in her verses throughout the long term; it’s likewise, with the celestial falsetto tune, a request to be left to do what she prefers. — R.B.

“Ke Star Remix” Focalistic, Davido, Vigro Deep

Amapiano, a South African house subgenre that regularly weds seizing basslines with fragile piano or synth lines, has detonated in fame throughout the most recent couple of years. On this tune, two South African stars who have been turbocharging dancefloors across their country—the DJ and maker Virgo Deep and the rapper Focalistic—are joined by Nigerian Afrobeats lord Davido for a ranting intercontinental crush. One YouTube client summarized it very well in the video’s remarks segment: “I’m turning into a cycle self-centered with this tune with rehashed plays, basically to hear the Surrounds frameworks inside my vehicle respond. It is frantic.” — A.R.C.

Music & Brain

I bet we all love listening music.  But do we know how music affects our brain physiologically.

We all know our brain is divided into left and right hemispheres. Our left brain deals with logics and facts in contrast, our right brain deals with creativity and art.

Various researches showed that our right brain is responsible to process music. Also, if the right side of the brain gets damaged it directly leads to the impairment of rhythm and pitch and thus, the ability to comprehend music is destroyed.

Also, another interesting study showed that when we think about a song or when we are recalling the rhythm and lyrics of a song without humming or singing it at that particular time our right brain was more activated than the left brain.

So, does it mean that left side of our brain does not play any role in understanding music or else?

The answer is no.

Actually, for processing music both hemispheres of brain and hippocampus plays a vital role.

 Scientists have proved that how

Minor chords when played makes a person sad and when Major chords are played that makes the person happy.

And, musicians use this concept to make music accordingly.

Also, even hospitals appoint music therapists to treat patients.

And it is clinically proven that music therapy helps Parkinson’s patients, children with autism, improve sleeping patterns and reduces the effects of dementia in older people.

Researchers have also found how listening to music releases dopamine which is a happy hormone.

So, everybody keep listening to music and be happy.
